365 Project

The 365 Project is a thing that many photographers have tried over the years and I thought, even though I am an amateur I would give it a go. People will often say that their whole lives flashed before their eyes after they experienced a traumatic event. Perhaps it’s a bit morbid, but I think that sounds pretty incredible. That's just one of the reasons I am doing this. You can see all the photos daily on 365 tab at the top of the page. I am starting tomorrow (18/11/10). The photos on there now are just fillers.

It really is catching on!

I asked if it could catch on, turns out that this product went on sale 2 months before that post. The actual product is a cake mold, and the cake is still made of traditional cake materials, but still the idea is similar. Great minds think alike :) More info on the cake mold.

All I want for Christmas is ? The festive season is fast approaching and the question on everyones mind is what presents do buy/make for my family? Once you've got that sorted, You may think it's easy but there is one more hard decision to make: what YOU want. My parents have been asking me for the past few days. And for most teens it's an easy choice (the latest gadget/clothes/fad ect.). But this year it has been hard for me, as the item I suggested is well out of budget! Since then I've been trying to think of a gift they could get me without sending us all to the poorhouse. Unfortunately I have still not thought of a suitable gift that would satisfy them in being "good parents" I'd prefer cash to go towards the laptop I'm saving up for, but it would be rude as they want to get me "proper" presents. What do you think? What are you getting for christmas? Leave a comment.

This tells you how to add the freebie backgrounds of this blog using the minima template.

1) Make sure your blog is set to the classic minima template. Help?

2) Find the freebie you want and click the image.

3) Copy (ctrl + c) the url at the top of the page (address bar).

4) Go to Dashboard > Layout > Edit HTML.

5)Look in all the code for this (its near the top) :

Replace it with this:

Replace the URL above with the one you copied earlier. Click save, and voila!, there you have it.

Halloween Decorations

With a very tight budget it is particularly difficult to host a Halloween party. The main reason is that store bought decorations cost so much. So instead we made our own. All we needed was alot of cardboard box card and paint, with optional extras such as string and tissue paper. Here are just some of our spooky homemade Halloween decorations and food:

I have made it, to the big “Five-O”,
This blog was started, months ago.

Tried to influence the millions,
Only succeeded,with a few civilians.

Now at fifty, updating my blog is no longer a pain,
Trade it for my aging brain.

Advertising, I might invest,
Google Adsense they suggest.

So many candles, on that cake,
If I count, I won’t stay awake.

Don’t worry I'm not losing my mind,

The Hole (3D) - Review

I went to see this movie on Saturday night. Its actually pretty scary considering that there no actual violence or gore involved. I went to see it with 4 of my friends , and whilst 3 of us tried to watch it, Becca was terrified and didn't watch most of it. Most of it was action/adventure but there were a few scenes that made it the-hide-behind-your-jacket-and-take-off-your-3D-glasses scary. Overall the plot was really well structured if not slightly predictable. And the 3D could have played a bigger role. But I would recommend this to any teen who loves Horror movies.
