A huge drop in AdSense earning

I have earned a lot of money from AdSense. Main sources of AdSense earning were my blogs. I devoted myself in building some websites and I could not update my blogs. Every month I used to get numerous traffic around the globe. When I was busy to make some websites (such as http://www.freenetadvertise.com) I could not check my blog traffic, Only I checked my website's traffic. I noticed a huge drop in AdSense earning from my blog. I did not care it and I thought I am not updating my blogs regularly consequently I am not earning from my blogs.

Today when I go through my blog traffic, I observed that my blogs were driving thousands of traffic. I was astonished! Why my earning from blogs were so bad. I opened my blog account. I verified my AdSense account. I saw that the AdSense client ID is different. I realized the mistake that I committed.

Actually I forgot to "enable access" to third party. There are so many third party sites from where one can generate income through Google AdSense by sharing ad revenue. Blogger is one of such third parties. blogger makes a request to access AdSense account so that they display ads on the blog through layout and template tools. For this blogger is receiving "0%" of AdSense earning. That means displaying ads in blogger blog will make the same amount for clicks or impressions by creating the ad code from the AdSense account.

To give access to third party, after log in to AdSense account blogger has to click on "Home Tab", then click on "Account setting" sub-tab on the left hand. Scroll down to "3rd-party-access". Just to blogger.com there is a link "enable access". Blogger has to click on that link. Now AdSense earning will be generated through blogging.

How to Edit Blogger Blog

You have published your article in your blogger blog. Later you find that some mistakes are there. Probably you need to edit your published article. What to do? How to edit your published article easily?
There are two ways to edit your post. In first Case:

1. Go to your "Dashboard"
2. Click on “Layout”
3. There are four buttons on the top- 'Posting', 'Settings', 'Layout' and 'Monetize'.
Click on 'Posting'.
4. There are three links under “Posting”- 'New Post', 'Edit Posts' and 'Comment Moderation'. Click on 'Edit Posts'.
5. Select the post to be edited and click on “edit”
6. Edit your posting and save it.
In second case you can edit your post quickly. It works using cookies. After logged into your account you will notice a pencil just near the email post in your blog. Click on it and you will be redirected to the 'Edit Posts page'. Edit your post and save it. To enable quick edit option you need to go to setting and under setting there is a link – “Basic”. Under 'basic' there are different options. Set “Show quick editing on your blog? “ to yes .

MY LATER EXPERIENCE WITH INCREASING WEB TRAFFIC

I have already written down several articles related to web traffic. You have spent your hard-earned money and valuable time to build your site. Undoubtedly you want visitors. You know, for a web publisher visitors are main key to success. Content always plays important role. Search Engine optimization, page designing, back links are also important factors to increase traffic. From the so-called gurus you have learnt how to write content incorporated with key words. I am not going to repeat it again. Here I will delineate my later experience in increasing web traffic.

A good and appropriate title can help you to increase traffic. Make sure your title has at least two/three words with keywords. Don’t write your title in one or two words. Secondly title written in uppercase letters gives good result.

If you use image in your site, make sure your every image has “Alt” tag associated with it so that the page is appeared on image search also. When a visitor searches for an image, he will continue his searching until his desired image is found. So if your page rank is lower, still you can get some extra traffic for your image.

Updating is very much important. Keep updating your site regularly. Remove back dated pages. Try to write a unique content. Frequent posting is good, but don’t post several articles at a time. It is not good idea to post more than two articles at a time for a particular site. Search engines are always looking for new contents. A new and good content is always ranked top in the search result.

If you are advertising your site through Google Ads or any other programs, always keep your budget high. Higher budget means your ad will be appeared in high ranking sites. You know back links from high ranking and relevant sites play important role to increase your page rank. Higher page rank means higher traffic. Back link from a site which is yet to be indexed is just good for nothing.

Duplicate content and Search Engines

Are you sure your content is not duplicated by others? In my earlier article I have already discussed how to detect duplicate content. Some publishers take deceptive way to write their content. They just change first and last few lines and republish the content. You know search engines dislike duplicate content. If the search engines find similar content within or across the domains they do not show up in the search result. Search engines have sophisticated algorithms to determine the best version of the document. Google makes appropriate adjustments while indexing and ranking of the sites that have duplicated content or substantially same. Publishers should not take any deceptive way. It is better to write one article monthly but don’t deceive the search engines. If search engines find a site that has multiple number of duplicated content, it stops crawling and the site will be blacklisted. Once the pages of a site are removed from index, it is very difficult to reinclude in the index.
Publishers should keep in mind the following points related to duplicate content:

1. If you have multiple pages with same content, merged them in one page
2. Make sure your article has distinct information and there is no plagiarism. If your website has printer-only version, use robots.txt or include a meta tag “noindex” to disallow the search engines to index the page.
3. Don’t forget to inform Google using webmaster tools which is your prefer domain

Google always takes necessary step to protect the interests of Adword advertisers. They have unique system to detect the invalid clicks and click frauds. When they find that their Adword advertisers are at significant risk for a particular AdSense publisher, they disable the concerned AdSense account. You know Google only count the clicks as valid that must be result from genuine user interest. There are some publishers, some how who have managed to approve the AdSense account but do not have enough knowledge in ad networking. Even they have not read the AdSense program policies and Terms of services. They click on their own ads again and again to boost their earning. Clicking on own ads for any reason is prohibited and Google takes no time to ban their account. Some smart publishers think that they will not be detected if they generate clicks from different computers. So they generate clicks from multiple computers using office computer, library computer, friend’s computer or from computers of different cyber cafés. So cheating with AdSense is next to impossible.

Domain Vs Subdomain

Recently I visited a site. The publisher of the site claimed that after switching over from blogspot (Sub domain) to own domain he noticed significant increase of traffic. Earlier I was also in doubt in this matter. Like me many publishers want to know which one performs well- Domain or Sub domain? I have several blogs on blogspot and site on my own Domain. I decided to test it in my own way. I selected one blog on blogspot and one site on own Domain. Content of the blog and the site are almost same. Both are started functioning at the same time. I promoted them in the same ways. I collected data on daily basis for one month then I analysis the data and found I got approximately same result for Domain and Subdomain. So according to my view, in regard to traffic the performance of Subdomain and Domain almost same.

Now the question is why people prefer to publish in their own domain when publishing in Subdomain is completely free. The reasons for preferring own domain are:
1. Total control over the site
2. No chance of removal by subdomain provider
3. Flexibility
4. Develop its own personality
For those who are still undecided about setting up website may decide for a free site. Google geocities or Google page creator are good examples of free webs site providers. Literally hundreds of companies that provide free hosting. The only drawbacks are they will reserve space on your site to serve advertising banner ads and other links. How to solve Login trouble or publishing problem

Are you facing troubles in login or publish post or upload photos? Sometimes you may encounter some error message or repeatedly get bounced back to the login screen. You may also notice a message “session Expired”. Occasionally you are unable to stop your browser from loading an out-of-date page or an image. Your browser may take longer to exit or the Java applet may misbehave. How to fix the problem? I am giving you some important tips to solve the problems.

1. Changing your browser can solve most of the problems. If you are using IE change your browser to Firefox or vice versa.

2. Make sure you are using correct username and passwords.

3. Refesh F5 or Ctrl F5

4. Clear Cache. Every web browsers use a cache to store recently accessed data to enables the visited site’s pages to be downloaded faster. To clear cache in Explorer 5.x and 6.x click “Tools” menu, then “Internet Options” select “General” tab click “Delete Files” button.

5. Clear Cookies. A cookie is s piece of data, which is sent to the user’s browser from a Web server. The browser stores the data in a text file. The message is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. To delete the cookies follow the instructions mentioned above, then click “Delete Cookies” button. Set your Cookies to Medium-high or lower.

6. Check your computer whether it is JavaScript enabled properly. Click “Tools” menu, then “Internet Options” select “Security” tab then click “Custom Level” button. Scroll down and in scripting section enable “Active Scripting”. Click OK.

7. Log out and log back in after few minutes.

8. Restart computer

If the login problem or publishing problem is still continuing try from different computer and different Internet connection.
