Claro que, como torcedor brasileiro, esperava que a segunda vaga da equipe Lotus à temporada 2012 de Fórmula-1 ficasse nas mãos de um piloto do País. Rubens Barrichello, Lucas di Grassi, Luiz Razia, enfim, qualquer patrício. Mas a contratação de Romain Grosjean, 25 anos, vai muito além de qualquer patriotismo. É bastante positivo ver um talento regressar à categoria, inclusive quando sua

Logo que foi lançado no Brasil, fiz muitos elogios ao New Fiesta hatch, especialmente ao seudesign moderno, construção de qualidade e boa tecnologia embarcada. Porém, critiquei o preço do carro, abusivo para o mercado nacional: a partir de R$ 48.950. E, pelo visto, não só as minhas críticas mas também a de outros colegas da imprensa e, principalmente, do consumidor deram resultado: a linha New

Como vocês acompanharam, tirei alguns dias de férias em dezembro. Fui para os Estados Unidos e a viagem foi excelente. Pude descansar e curtir alguns parques e costumes locais que sempre me agradaram muito. Mas, como um amante de carros, escolhi bem os veículos que eu queria alugar por lá.

Cinco meses. Esse foi o tempo que durou a novela sobre o segundo posto da Williams para a temporada 2012 de Fórmula-1. Final feliz para Bruno Senna, o escolhido. Decisão que atrapalha sensivelmente os planos de Rubens Barrichello, o preterido, em continuar no certame. E, de quebra, que empatou o jogo entre esses brasileiros de gerações distintas.

Três das quatro maiores fabricantes de veículos no Brasil --Ford, GM (General Motors) e Fiat-- registraram queda nas vendas e consequente redução da participação no mercado brasileiro em 2011, informa reportagem de Venceslau Borlina Filho publicada na Folha desta quinta-feira.

A Ford apresentou a queda mais acentuada em relação a 2010, seguida por GM e Fiat. Já a

O Chevrolet Cruze foi lançado no Brasil no ano passado. Porém, na Europa, o sedã já existe desde 2008. Então, prestes a completar quatro anos de vida, a GM já prepara a primeira reestilização do modelo no velho continente.

Finalmente a Ford revelou, oficialmente, as linhas finais do novíssimo EcoSport. Na verdade a marca mostrou o veículo conceito que dará origem à segunda geração do seu utilitário esportivo, que será lançado ainda em 2012 (como linha 2013) no Brasil (daqui a mais ou menos quatro meses).
