This minimal lamp was created by Netherlands based designer Mieke Meijer for the "Untouchables" show</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
by Dutch Inventuals. The exhibition should portray the life we live in the rapidly changing world.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After Mieke Meijer finding the right balance is the key.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The lamp she presented resembles the static equilibrum of a tower crane.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Mieke Meijer translated the vulnerability into a lamp which consists of two balancing wooden posts connected by a single wire.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The light is given by hight bright LED technology in combination with tactile materialization, because the LEDs are hidden within the horizontal post. The electrical circuit is closed, when the brass strips touch and the light turns on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can adjust the position of the lamp by moving the horizontal post and by bringing it down you can turn the light off.</div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">Architect Charles Wright was commissioned to build this private residence for a client who </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">wished to live completely </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">off-grid - and in the middle of the </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">Far North Queensland rainforest </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">in Australia, which averages </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">four tropical cyclones a year.</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">Because sun is scarce during monsoon seasons, Whright designed a</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">solarpanelled roof to provide for a constant cooler & more comfortable ambient temperature year-round. The solar panels capacity can be compared to a backup fossil-fuel generator."It can operate for at least two months without any sunshine.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">The need of water during drought seasons is also arranged: The rain harvested from the roof in such torrential downpours can fill a 250,000-litre concrete tank, located beneath a pool in the</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">centre of the house, in a matter of days- "and that kind of quantity of water would probably last for about a year" </span><br />
