I am now on my way home from a family gathering. I am so starving right now and coupled with the fact that I am having PMS is really making me feel sick to my stomach.

Anyways, before going out today I have decided to wear my black CLARKS shoes because I thought it is perfect for the weather. But it rained so heavy and I ended up wearing a pair of pink rain boots! Anyways, How is your Friday treating you lovelies? I hope it's the exact opposite of the word disaster.

Thank God the rain has finally stopped and it's time for some "nom-om-nom"!. Nevertheless, I am still happy I get to show you a picture of one of my special black shoes! Comfy and strong! Online shopping apparently has changed the way I window shopped. Before, I used to do manual window shopping first before really deciding to buy anything because I always believed it is wise to not be deceived with your own eyes at first sight. If that special that caught my eyes appeared on my dream during the night, that's a pretty good sign I am totally going back early morning to purchase it. Well, now that the marketing society have developed ways to attract consumers all over the world through media, blogs, word of mouth, product reviews and all I think window shopping as once called has advanced to another level.

Some of my favorite clothing brands are Aeropostale, Old Navy, Gap, Crocs, Regatta, Free People, Top Shop, Forever21, Zara, Cinderella, For Me, Bench TM, Guess and Levis. For jewelry and accesories, I personally love Swarovski, Swatch, Vanity Accessories, Regatta, and other local stores that are really worth visiting for some great and fabulous finds like SM Accessories, LandMark accessories and 168Mall.

I noticed lately that these past few days I have been losing my appetite. For some reasons there is a sudden change of my eating habits and it's a little bit affecting my everyday physical activities. The culprit might be the skipping of meals or my sleeping habits. Or maybe wrong choice of food.

To be physically healthy, one must know and understand what to eat and what NOT to eat, when's the right time to sleep, and how to be happy in an unhappy environment. I get it. It's either I am a perfect candidate of the hash tag #youarewhatyoueat or maybe, just maybe I'm already losing my healthy lifestyle balance.

On that particular note, let me share with you some inspirations to get back on track. Here are some random sightings I found to be very useful. If you're looking for a healthy motivation and inspiration to get going, these lovely people behind these awesome sites would be like "Mana from Heaven". You'll be glad you've checked them out.

If you want to look young and raw, not crazy, you should definitely check out these guys from Young And Raw, Sheleana Breakell & Caleb Jennings. They promote natural living through a high raw, plant based lifestyle. I look up to Sheleana as an inspiration and I hope one day I can be a 100% vegan like her like I've always wanted. I'm Back To Cooking

Hello lovelies! I hope you all are doing great. I just came back from a vacation in Baguio and the very thing I thought of is to cook. Honestly, I was so starving during the two and a half hours trip so forgive me if I pig out on this lemon squeezed pork chops with tomato slices and chilis on the side.

This is actually so simple to cook. You can cook this in 15-25 minutes.

The ingredients are:

Pork Chops

Lemon or Calamansi 6 or more pieces

2 cups Soy Sauce

Black Pepper

3 spoons flour

1 cup of water

Tomato Slices

Chili

How To Prepare:

First , in a bowl mix soy sauce, squeezed lemons or calamansi.

Second , marinate the pork chops in the sauce and lather black pepper and flour or corn starch.

Third , Get the pan ready and put 1 cup of water. You can actually skip this if you think it's not necessary. But I do this because I want my meat to be more tender. When the water runs out, you can proceed with the next step.

Fourth, put a small amount of cooking oil just to cover the entire surface of the pan and fry the pork chops as you would normally.

Fifth, When it's done, and you want you meat to have a little bit of sauce get the rest of the sauce you marinated the pork chops with and cook for 2-3 minutes until you get a caramelized sauce.

Garnishing:

Slice 1 whole tomato to decorate your plate

Put a little spice on it by putting 2-3 chilis on the side.

Serve Hot!

Know that the skin around our eyes is super-slick, making it tough for liner to stay put. You could try using a waterproof version of eyeliners which will withstand oil, sweat, tears or water (at a pool party maybe). But before applying, you might want to dip a Q-tip in an oil-absorbing face powder and trace along your lash line to make liner stick.

Hello lovelies! I just want to share with you guys some of the fab finds for summer. I know it's rainy season but the rain has stopped today and it's getting warmer again. It feels like oh so summer again! I know some of you in other side of the world have just started to embrace the summer season. So it's okay for me to blurb a little about summer colors, hues, tints, etc right? I think what makes summer fun is not just because the beach, new summer trends and fashion but also how we put colors into everything about it. Thoughts of a colorful summer always come with beautiful memories snapped and engraved into our minds and bounded to make beautiful photo albums. Sunny days of romping on white sands, swimming in crystal blue waters, endless bouts of laughter makes the world go round.

What comes to mind when you think of summer? My summer color has always been bright and I always want my summer to look sun-kissed with a citrus feel. Bright orange and Neon colors are always in. Take a look at some bright summer ideas below.

Can you believe it? Sandpaper was used for microdermabrasion for exfoliation? Seriously? That must have hurt. Lead was also use to whiten skin, clear blemishes and remove freckles. Unfortunately, it is later found out to be poisonous and can cause insanity and infertility. How sad.

It is true that our skin is the first thing people around us see, not our fabulous shoes or our new bag. But going to the extreme sometimes hurt. I went to the City Mall last week and bought these cool stuffs as my newly purchased back-to-school project. I've been downloading a lot of movies lately so I thought of purchasing a whole bunch of DVD-Rs. I also bought a mustard color optical mouse and a cutie patootie piglet mousepad. For someone a bit obsessed with cute beasties and kawaii stuffs like me, I consider this pretty, cute, ..lovely. lol.

Lunch Buffet @The Manor

I'm into food blogs lately so I want to share with you some of my recent travels, food reviews, hotel and restaurant reviews and more. Last summer me and my husband went to Baguio City, the City of Pines here in the Philippines. We thought that this will be a nice anniversary treat for my parents too, so we took them along and stayed there for 2 days. Since we booked at the very last minute coupled with the fact that it is a long weekend due to the holy week sesaon, we ran out of good slots and ended up booking at Burnham Suites Hotel which we found to be not suite looking hotel after all. But that's another story to tell. Originally, we wanted to stay at The Manor Hotel which we find very interesting in the website. We wanted to stay there so badly so we made an effort to visit for a quick peek of the place and see for ourselves if it's outstanding like the images we saw on the internet. And it does. It looked amazingly beautiful when we arrived in Camp John Hay. It's past noon time when we arrived, so we decided to take our lunch at the restaurant of the hotel. I regret not having photographed all of the dishes served because everything looks great. They served Filipino cuisines at the time and much to my surprise my hubby loved it specially the Grilled Bangus Belly.

They served almost all kinds of Filipino cuisines including Grilled Bangus Belly, Rice Binagoongan, Mixed Vegestables, Crabs, Seafoods, Fish Sharshado, etc. I can't remember everything put on the table because the grilled bangus belly won our appetite. Me and hubby went round two for just that.

And for the desserts? They served all kinds of strawberry desserts and a leche flan sliced muffin. The comibination of chocolate and strawberry is one of my favorites but fresh strawberries are my all time fave. Just add salt and I'm a happy girl.

How about the ambiance? It's perfectly romantic for couples. Their dining area is adjacent to a very wide garden with a gorgeous tree at the center of the mansions. The cold breeze just adds up to the sweet moments you'll experience while viewing the forest pines and the mountains. They have 2 booking options. The Garden View and the Forest View. It will be a little bit more expensive should you wish to get the garden view over the forest view. I personally think that's because the Garden View is breathtaking.

It's always a great feeling to be in such a nice place like this. Nice food, nice weather and to top it all with people you love most. Times like this is priceless. I am so looking forward for my next travels. I love this place that is why both hubby and I are looking forward to spend some time again here soon. Gotta book earlier though.

Through The Years: Hair Rewind

You can see in my last post that I'm back with my straight and shoulder length hair. I decided to cut my long and wavy curls because it's summer time and that would mean long hair is out and short hair is totally awesome. Coupled with the fact that in tropical countries like the Philippines, you can't avoid getting sweaty all over. I just missed my long wavy curl so much but because I had my hair rebonded/ straightened I can't do much hair-styling as much as I wanted. I guess I'll just have to wait for my hair to grow a little bit longer again to make some yummy curls and waves. For my hair to avoid frizz and tangles, I've been using Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat for a long time now because It doesn't feel sticky even under the sun. It also protects my hair from direct heat of the styling iron which I use most often before with my long hair. You could buy this at any Department Store locally and / or drugstore near you. It cost about 70.00 Php - 80.00 Php or 2.00$. Pretty expensive but worth it than gels or hair spray.

Also, to protect my hairs from falling, I found Pantene Shampoo & Conditioner really works miracle for me. I used to get irritated whenever I see hairfalls on my bed in the morning. Not until I decided to go try Pantene products. But I have also tried Loreal Nutri Gloss to get that shiny feel to my hair. I would totally recomment this because it truly brings out that natural gloss and shine. I am definitely going back to the store to buy another bottle because I just ran out of it. What I did was I applied a generous amount of it to my hair so I consumed all of it rock bottom in just one week. lol. I'll try to be more wise next time.

The Iconic Hotel, Hotel Icon

Hey everyone! As promised, I am going to make a short review of this hotel where we stayed at in Hong Kong last March. Hotel Icon is a newly built hotel that was built for the School of Hotel and Tourism Management by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University at 17 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. This was the second time me and my husband get to visit Hong Kong. On our first visit, we stayed at the Langham Place which will also get a well-deserved praise for its great location, easy access for the mall and is also on the center of the MTR stations that could take you anywhere. But we wanted to venture what other hotels have to offer too. So with thorough research, we decided to have it a go for this hotel. One main reason is because it's brand new. And when it's brand new, you'll know that the facilities are still well maintained, neat, clean, fresh and modern. It was the hotel's first year anniversary when we visited on that month. Since it was located in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, one of the city's most convenient and exciting areas, at the hub of the highly efficient transportation network, access is easy to key business addresses, glamorous shopping arcades, street markets, cultural heritage sites and entertainment complexes. Guests are never more than a few minutes away from the overwhelming majority of Hong Kong's major attractions. Maybe the only mishap you would experience in terms transportation to this hotel was the access to the MTR which will just take you to East Tsim Sha Tsui. From that station, you still have to walk through a very long tunnel couple of kilometers away to the hotel until you exit to the main street (Mody St.) near the hotel. If you are arriving ffrom the airport, instead of instructing you to take the MTR by the airport officer she will just recommend you taking a taxi because that is way easier to get there. Heeding the advise would also free you from stress from walking. Believe me when I say this, you would be exhausted if you do take the train cause there's no other way you could get a taxi from that long tunnel coupled with the fact that you still have to figure out the massive map directions which we found a little confusing.

When we arrived we wered greeted by friendly faces from the reception. One of the things I like about Hong Kong. The way the interact with their guests are extremely commendable. They also give complimentary drinks upon arrival and the hotel in its entirety is a five star in my opinion. Everything is new as expected and it looked exactly the same with the pictures in the internet. My favorite spot so far was the bath tub with an LCD TV cause I could stay in there for as long as I want while watching TV. I just wished they've made use of a gentler fabric detergent for their bed sheets because I have had an uncommon intolerable itch skin rashes on my left knee. My husband said, it could be due to the detergent used. I have never experience something like that on our stay at The Langham Place Hotel which scored a winner for me. Hotel Icon has also a very nice view of the city from the Above and Beyond floor, where you could have your buffet breakfast and complimentary cofee and tea in the afternoon through out your stay. But me and my husband's favorite dining area is on The Market because it's got lots of food choices and the open air ambiance is more appealing too. I now begin to like Crocs!

When I was in Hong Kong with my husband I always complain on having blisters on my feet because of any type of shoes that I wear. He used to buy me those good quality shoes like Clarks, Ralph Lauren, Impo, Figliarina and some of those black boots but 98% of the time wearing them, my feet hurts like crazy. Not to mention the calluses I got on my toes which are unlikely attractive at any angle! It's that moment when I had to force myself walking around Disneyland to get the most of our trip as much as I can. I was so pissed that I can't even find a store that sells any Disney slippers which I would be willing to wear for the rest of the day. What a mishap! Wearing a wrong walking shoe might cost you a lot of trouble. It almost ruined our Disneyland Tour. I am just so thankful that my husband is the most loving and thoughtful guy in the world. Feeling my pain and agony, he just let me sit on a bench to rest up my sore feet. He even wanted to throw that Impo shoes he got me while uttering the words: "I will never buy you a pair of shoes again." That made me laugh. I think there is nothing wrong with those shoes. I just wore them at the wrong place and time. At the end of that day, when we were heading back home we intentionally went downtown to buy a pair of comfy shoes. Gladly, he picked the winner this time! He got me a beige open-heeled loafers with the most comfortable foam perfect for my sore feet. Up to now they are still in good shape and it is really made for long walks. That story was more than a year old now, when we had our first trip to Hong Kong.

For the second time we were there, last April we made arrangement for another long walks. Our journey started at The Peak Tram. Heading there needs us to reach the Star Ferry first. So from our hotel, we rode our free shuttle going to the Star Ferry Terminal. The Star Ferry cruise will take us to the opposite side of -the island and from there we should be taking the 15-C open-decked tour bus to take us to The Peak tower. I am wearing the beige loafers this time. So walking is not a problem. At the end of The Peak Tram tour, we head out to get some souvenirs and along the stalls are the Crocs store. I went inside for a quick peek, even when at the back of my mind I don't have intentions on buying any. I always thought Crocs are the weirdest footwear ever invented in my time. But my curiosity was fueled with anticipation as to whether their latest trends are reinvented with much more sense. Until this pair of Croc shoes with animal print style caught my attention. I just caught myself trying my size and asking the lady if they have any other color. I don't usually ask any details if I am not really sure of buying so I think my guy gets it. I want a pair! Without any hesitations he took out his credit card from his wallet and asked me the usual question: "Is it comfortable deary?" from which I replied, "I now begin to like Crocs. It's not bad afterall. And they don't make my feet look dumbass either." And off we head back to our hotel with my happy toes. :)

The Whirlwind Getaway

Oh how I Hong Kong! There are so much to love about this country. Not only because it has one of the finest tourist destinations in Asia but also has the nicest hotels. We stayed in a brand new 5 Star hotel called Hotel Icon, which I would be posting a review about later. This was the second time we visited this lovely city since our honeymoon last year and it still keeps us wanting more from each visit. We had so much fun this time around than the first time we visited because back then, we are a total stranger and all we did was just an alone time together in our hotel, a little bit of window shopping, and walking around the streets. I was told that the more experience you get from travelling, the more you will enjoy each second and you would always want every bit of it count. True to what my husband said, we did everything we could to make each day more fun and enjoyable. We both learned so much about each other on this trip. This has also helped our relationship stronger as we still battle with this long distance affair. Our Hong Kong City tour was not planned. We know that there are a lot of cool places we could go to in and around the city so we just played it by ear. Last December 2010, we only get to see Disneyland. But on this trip, we get to see more. That includes: The Peak Tram, Star Ferry, Hong Kong Island, and Ocean Park, It was an awesome experience! Here are some pictures to show you around Hong Kong:

Love is sweeter the second time around.. In Hong Kong!

Yep. That's right I am going back to Hong Kong! Traveling all by myself this time. I can't explain how I feel for the last 2 days of thinking I would be traveling alone. It must be the sheer excitement of meeting my husband again after a very long year. Seemed like forever since. This feeling which I cannot explain makes my heart skip a beat every time I thought of us being together again and then part. It's sad and the thought is killing me.

New Look: That Pink Glitters

I feel inspired tonight to curl my hairs again and accessorize it with this glittery pink head band and my new mustard beaded tank my Mom bought for me last month. I always want to get loose curls. Sometimes I wanted to have them perm for a long while and then have it straightened when I wanted to get my normal hair back. Here is what I came up with:

But there is something within me that is pushing me to do something else with it. Like having a really short cut like that of Yeng's. Her hair is obviously so pretty like her whole aura. It shines and compliments her fair skin. I am still torn into: To cut or not to cut dilemma. What should I do? I am such a coward to take risks sometimes. I wanted to try out having short, short hair badly enough to make me feel anxious like this. What do you think? Should I give it a go?

Hearty Macarons

Yesterday I went to picked up a delightful box of meringue goodies which I have purchased online. I am so into deal hunting lately and this time I hunt for something that pleasures my palate. I got this from dealdozen which offers a variety of jaw-dropping deals. I just have the intention of browsing this page until I saw this box of Alchemy Macarons in its outstanding and delightful array of pastel colors. I just realized later on that I am already signing in for purchase. See, how just one picture of this oh so yummy looking goodies could move someone's heart and eventually fall in love with it?

Macarons are meringue cookies and sandwich with fillings. Have you heard of French Macarons? Yes? That's because macarons originated in European countries. This is the first time I have ever tasted a Macaron. The good thing is, it is locally made in the Philippines. The verdict? They taste good as they looked. I have heard Bizu French Macarons in Makati are gorgeously awesome as well. And that will be the next big thing to try.

If you are wondering what flavors each color represent, I'll tell you shortly. The box includes five flavors: Chai Spice (Pink), Salted Caramel (Blue), Chocolate Ganache (Brown), Peanut Caramel (White), and Banana Walnut (Yellow). Alchemy Macarons in Chai Spice and Banana Walnut had won me over by far. You know you just lose it by the second when you just can't get enough of them right? All these give the melt-in-your-mouth feel and always bring you to the nutty goodness finale to make you keep wanting more. It just doesn't stop to give a food orgasm if I may call it like that. The box was simply beautiful but it could be a little higher to fit a second level of macarons to avoid uneven fit.
