How to make your wedding speech.

As a photographer, I heard many wedding speeches made by the grooms, brides and their father. Trust me, this is the part of your wedding day that not to be taken lightly. I've seen a groom that he was so nervous that the only word that could come out was "Thank you for coming" I believe that you don't want to do the same thing.

Being a married man I know exactly the feeling when the day is getting closer and closer and you tried to write your speech on a piece of paper but nothing come out of your head. Here is a simple guide if you want to write your own speech. It is best not to write your speech together with your fiance as it will spoil the surprise, but its always better to talk together and figure where your speech direction is.

A long drawn out wedding toasts can put your guests to sleep. If you’re not used to public speaking, practice your speech. The speeches offer an opportunity for family and friends to gain insight into the parties involved and have some light fun.

Here is some list of key point you should consider when making your speech.

I recently invited by Star Cruise to be onboard on their Superstar Aquarius ship. I was so happy when David Chong called me up. It was a 4 days 3 nights trip from Kota Kinabalu to Brunei then to Bintulu then back to Kota Kinabalu. Here I put together a video taken during the trip. Shot was taken with GoPro Hero3 and Nikon D5100.

Recently I did a photo shoot for Suook Maang Lodge. The lodge is only about 30minutes away from Kota Kinabalu city. I fell in love with the place the moment I arrive to the place. Very peaceful indeed. The owner of the place Theresa was very friendly. Glad I did the photo shoot.

Recent Commercial work - Dream World Kundasang Resort

My recent photography work was on a resort in Kundasang Ranau, it is exactly on the foot hill of Mount Kinabalu. A resort with many chalet to stay, price range of RM250 to RM660. Two type of rooms had a jacuzzi in it. Well I did not stay in one of it but we got a very decent room to crash on.

A stunning view from the balcony of the room. I walked just a few meters away from our room and these are some of the landscape images I manage to capture. It is best to start shooting before the sunrises.

Recent Photography Workshop

A landscape photography workshop was recently organise at the Borneo Images Gallery and mentor John Kong did the talk/teaching. The workshop was covered specially for basic landscape photography. The participant learn the difference of filters used, composition and the technique on producing the landscape images.

Later after the class, I took charge of the class for outdoor on field tutorial. We went to Tanjung Aru beach for sunset shooting. I show them how to capture motion and at the same time how to deal with light on the same shot using filters.

This coming 14th April, there will be a photography field trip to Kudat Tip of Borneo for 2 days 1 night joined by me and John Kong and Cede Prudente. Anyone wanted to join this you can find out detail at Borneo Images Website www.borneoimages.com

Get the motion on the shot yet still maintain sharpness on some area.

Borneo Kelly Bays

This is the first time I ever set foot on Kelly Bays Area. I used to work at near by resort to the same area but never actually visit the place. The owner of the place ask me to redesign their website which he said not been updated for more than 5 years and some of the activity picture in the web are no longer their offer. Accepting the job means I need new images of the place. Coincidently the Miss Oriental was having a photoshoot session at Kelly Bays and happen to be I'm one of the invited photographer to come and shoot. This is mean that I don't have to look for model or my shoot. I just pick any of the Miss Oriental contestant and do a photoshoot with them. I didn't shoot much of a portrait picture but I shoot mostly highlighting the place together with the model. A photograph that I can use for the website. Now it is time for choosing the right images for use in the website.

Ok folks, I had been so lazy updating this blog lately. It is simply because I had been slowing down taking pictures. I sold my D300 camera and leave me only with the new D5100. Yes! It was an impressive camera for an entry level camera.

Couple of things I like to stress out here, I had stop doing wedding photo assignment. For anyone call me for wedding photo inquiries, I don't do wedding anymore. If you are looking for commercial photographer.. yes I'll do that. I do blog, website designing now. You can look for me if you want to create a website or redesigning it. I'll charge fairly good. Want to create a website for your business.. I do that aswell.

A stitch panorama on train

I am trying to slow down wedding job and concentrate on the other niche but can't. This probably my last pre wed session. Ray and Christy from Hong Kong. They flew all the way from Hong Kong to Sabah and do the photo session. Me and Wendell did the job. I will continue shooting for none wedding portrait session but that is not main thing. Anyone can still contact me for photo session, I'll do it depending on my schedule.

The Blind Photographer

Have you ever imagine being in the world of the blind people who cannot see anything but just sound. This is even more difficult for blind person to do photography as he/she cannot see what they were capturing.

This art photographer Pete Eckert really did it even though he cannot see. Surrounding sound and his dog is the only guidance he has.

Hi guys, I just finished changing style on my website www.jollenceleephoto.com . I kinda not into really static site so the old one is more on a static kind of site and it is hard to add new stuff in an instant. So I made this new one which a little bit user friendly. I made it link with with my blog where in the new site design you can see what new in my blog too. Now I'm slowly adding new stuff in there and you can start to have a visit on it.
