Our Trip to Florida

At the end of March we took a trip to Florida with Mamere and Gramps to visit family and Disney! We had a great time visiting Great Mamere/Paper and the clan in New Smyrna as well as Grampy Mac, Tanya and Aliyah. Madeline loved the beach, though it was too cold to swim in the ocean. We stayed one night at Disney's All Star Music Resort and spent a day at Disney. I think Madeline's favorite part was seeing the princesses all over the park. We had a great time and can't wait to go back in 5 years!

Madeline's going to have a little sister!!!

Billy and I went for the BIG ultrasound yesterday and found out we have a perfectly beautiful, healthy little girl a brewin'! Madeline was overjoyed when we told her. Later that night she went through her toy box and partitioned off the toys she would share with the baby!! We then asked if she would share all of her toys, and maybe even some of her old clothes and she obliged!! We'll keep you posted!

Attitash for New Years

We took a trip to Attitash for New Years and had a great time. We went to Nestlenook Farms in Jackson New Hampshire for some hot chocolate and a sleigh ride. The kids got to feed some deer and we all enjoyed the ride and the Christmas lights.

It's the most Wonderful time of the year!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Madeline had so much fun opening all her presents. The day after Christmas we went to Disney On Ice and had so much fun watching the princesses skate around. We're also taking a trip to Attitash to go on a sleigh ride and go snow tubing. Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe she's 3!! We had a cake (red of course) for her real birthday on the 24th. She helped me bake it and then decorated it w/ Daddy. Then we went to Smolak Farms for her party w/ her friends on Saturday. I think the kids had a blast apple picking, having cake in the "secret garden", going on a hayride and feeding the animals!

Madeline's 1st Day of Dance

Last Saturday Madeline had her 1st day of dance class. She has been excited about it for a while now, weeks at least, however had a different opinion after arriving at class. There were a number of girls who started bawling and had to leave (their mom's running in after them!). I think Madeline got a little spooked by the upset girls, but stuck it out through most of the class. She wasn't too interested in actually following along, but ehhh at least she stuck it out. We're looking forward to next week to see how she does.

We went to see the whales

Last Sunday we went up to Gloucester to see the great humpback whales. We saw tons! It was great, saw them doing their typical feeding routines, breeching (which is rare) and also some socializing/communicating which was really cool. Madeline loved the boat ride and even managed to catch a few glipses of the giants. Click the pick for more. I'm trying out a new photo sharing site..let me know what you think. Storyland

Three of us went into Boston today and had a great day! We saw Dora at the Opera House. Madeline just sat there staring ..jaw to the floor. We think she liked it! Then we had lunch, Billy went back to work so Maddie and I went to the commons, the playground and the swan boats. We had so much fun.

Last weekend we went and picked out a Christmas tree and had lots of fun decorating it. Madeline especially loved putting all the silver and red balls on.....all on the same branch!!!

We took Madeline shopping to exchange some shoes that didn't fit and she insisted we buy the red ones! Not exaclty what Mom was looking for, but Madeline loves them so I couldn't resist. She had a great weekend visiting with Mamere, Gramps, Great Nana and Gramps, Gloria and baby Charlotte.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

It seems like every day Madeline comes home and tells us something new. She decided to surprise me one morning by singing the itsy bitsy spider. She's much better at it now, but this is what it sounded like the first time!

Madeline was Raggedy Ann for Halloween this year. She even let me put makeup on her face and managed to keep the hat on so that I could get a few pictures! Her daycare had a Halloween party for parents and kids on Friday night. There were some really cute costumes. Maddie went out trick-or-treating with her Daddy and had lots of fun getting candy.

Last weekend Maddie, Billy, Gramma Boucher and I went to Smolak Farms in Andover. We all had a great time picking apples, going on a hay ride, feeding and petting the animals, eating homemade apple crisp and picking out a pumpkin. Our little peanut is 2 years old! We celebrated with all our family and friends and Madeline had a great time playing with the kids and eating birthday cake. She found it quite amusing to have a room full of people singing happy birthday to her and enjoyed it very much. Despite the rainy and cold weather the kids had a blast in the bouncy house and playing with each other in doors.

We celebrated on Madeline's real birthday with a special birthday dinner (which, surprise-surprise she did not touch) and a birthday cupcake. Her teachers at school made her a #2 hat to wear and her friends at school gave her a special day too.

Madeline has, finally, taking a liking to one of her little baby dolls (and a complete coincidence that it happens to be the one Momma picked out for her!!). Just within the past week she has been inseparable from her baby doll (of course she still must have her "Duckie" too). She takes her to bed with her, walks in the baby carriage, sings, rubs her back and comforts her..it's really cute. She's turning into quite the little momma! Here Madeline is rocking her (in my old rocking chair!) I couldn't resist taking a pic!

Maddie's playroom is getting a makeover...

Madeline is finally getting a worthy playroom, rather than "the room we throw all her toys in"!! Daddy spent the past few weeks painstakingly painting stripes on the walls and it looks great. Now it's Momma's turn! I have some more decorating ideas to incorporate her artwork, a reading/storage bench and also making room for her new play kitchen- but SHHHH that's a birthday surprise for her! We'll keep you posted.
