5 Things that Pacify the Black Community to dysfunction

Usually I steer clear of blogs like these because although important, I want to blog on things on a personal basis, something that touches us day to day on a natural level. But no matter how much you tapdance around certain issues, it often takes us back to the root. Sometimes that root is larger than the actual problem, but still a problem nonetheless. We often complain about the decay of our people, yet we still consume in high demand the very things that make it so. Well maybe we don't know what destroys us and that is why we don't make clear moves to avoid it. Thing is, is that we do know, yet we are often a slave to it because of familiarity or popularity alone. We do what we know.

There are always people out there that get fed up with being wrong. They say to themselves, "I have had enough and I want to start doing better." As a result, they see small changes in their lives that turn into big ones. When that level is reached, most wonder how they lived in such disarray for so long. So this blog here is about touching 5 things that leave us in a weakened state, and want to work on getting to that big change that makes us stronger. Use these to self reflect to see if these are things that you consume, and are willing to give up or use in moderation.

Reality Shows- These shows are really popular. So popular that they often spin off a new show by giving the person who was the most dysfunctional and ratchet, during the show that came before it. Whoever started the most fights, was the most hated, who did the most conniving things to hurt, harm, or cause pain to the next person, is the one that gets a show. Now most may say that it is just entertainment. But is it? Actually it is more than just entertainment. It becomes a conditioning to those who consume these behaviors by watching faithfully a society who glamorizes this it and rewards it with money, promotion, and the ability to flourish.

People are not going to take it as just entertainment. Why do you think there are so many people mimicking this behavior in public? You have females meeting to fight one another over men as they did in the past, but they are now filming it and posting it online as if to have their own shows. You have young people who go from angry to violence unprovoked. It is about being loud, angry, and vengeful. Nothing about this says we are going to change any time soon, but for those that recognize the dysfunction in this, turn those shows off and stop supporting the very reason why we can't settle a disagreement with one another without a huge production.

Public Assistance- Now I am not speaking about food stamps and welfare this go round. I am speaking on people that assume that everyone owes them. They date according to what they can get from the other person. We often hear women gossiping about what they are going to get from a man in purses, money, shoes, clothes, and other material things, as if it is the thing to do. We also hear people assuming that they deserve grades they don't study for, job promotions they don't want to train for, a lifestyle they can't afford, or even wish to work for. Just a life of entitlement.

Where does this come from? There are no real solid facts on where people pick this up from, especially when many come from households that have very little. But being exposed to wealth through entertainment, sports, or living in areas where the affluent has intermingled with the average person (New York, California, Florida, Georgia) people adopt those "airs" and start mimicking what they see and are exposed to. The "If Amber Rose, Blac Chyna, or Kim Kardashian can get themselves a baller, so can I", or the "I can find me a cougar like Shaq's ex-wife" mentality kicks in. Like playing the odds with life in general, very few benefit from this mentality. But the ones that don't, fall hard, very hard, and more often than not, that part of the story is not televised. They end up in bars searching for their second through tenth best hoping to keep the facade going.

Job Fairs- We stand in long lines to get the opportunity to speak with companies about job openings. For some job fairs, companies use the events to sell themselves to potential candidates as a great place to work. People come out in droves especially since the decline in the economy and the value of a dollar, and companies bank on this desperation. Companies turn down or take resumes from job seekers, and for the most part do not use any of this information to hire new people. Companies use the events to see what competition they have in other companies for hires. Many of these events tell you nothing more about a company than what you could have found out on their websites. So why do companies have you come down there to stand in line for hours, and then give you nothing you could really use, like a job?

These events bring in money and exposure for the employers, while also bring in revenue for the places where the events are held. They show the companies what kind of demand there would be for their jobs just in case there is a high turnover rate in employees. In most instances it is the company's ability to seem concerned about the job market by just showing up, and being accounted for in the community. Pretty much a big PR campaign for the company itself, not for the job seekers.

DO YOUR RESEARCH on companies through their websites, community involvement, and their brick and mortar buildings. THAT is how you weigh your choice to apply for jobs with these employers. Companies are not just interviewing you, you should also be interviewing them. Remember companies need you to keep their businesses running. You are an important resource. So interview and research businesses as if you are looking to hire them. While you are working for your check, they are making thousands more than you off of your labor. So be smart in how you look for work and use job fairs to supplement your job hunt, not as the main source.

Social Media- When you are a nobody to everybody, you can be somebody to the world. Some people see social media as a way to express every emotion or action that they could not do in their own day-to-day surroundings. If you watch how bare people get on social media sites, you wonder why some people are not in straight jackets and locked away in an insane asylum. People tell about their sexual conquests, violent intentions, lack of concern for others that they have a lot of concern for per their constant statements of having no concern, and many other odd professions. (and yes that redundancy was on purpose.)

This euphoric feeling of expressing inner feelings gives some people a sense of empowerment, but with people losing loved ones, jobs, careers, and even family over things said on websites as a joke, it is not as good of an idea as one would think. Having a false sense of what is good to share and what is not, gives people the idea that they can do the same in real life. You see more and more people in conflict with others because there are no visible lines drawn as to how one communicates with others. In other words, what you can throw around online, will not always fly in real life. Learn to have a sense of proper etiquette that will work online and off. You can not do and say anything and everything.

Electronics- Anything that can distract us from human contact, make us look like we have status, and stops us from looking each other in the eyes, we will buy. Expensive electronics in the form of pricey cell phones, digital cameras, televisions, computers and such are making companies monetarily richer, while we as people become piss poor in character and social etiquette. When you are willing to rob someone's house for a flat screen television, tell your ex-girlfriend that you are leaving her over a text, or spend your whole income tax check on Apple products, one will have to admit that there is a problem.

Instead of providing for your family, paying your debts, or saving for a rainy day, you will find countless black people with expensive gaming consoles along with the games and accessories, and not one dime spent on education, or purchasing a home or starting their own business. It distracts us from what is important because we allow it. So while this happens across many races, not many are suffering as bad as minorities are. But the reason that is, is because the black people choose this life, make it hard for the black people trying to do better. When there are more people in line at the club or to pick up the new Jordans.... than there are to take care of their own kids, assisting teachers with the children's education, or fighting for the ability to generate a decent legacy, it almost seems like they don't expect to have futures, so they don't pass down any to their own.

While this commentary speaks on black people it is not about ALL black people. I am not that naive to claim that all black people are this way. But I will say that TOO MANY of the black community ARE this way. So if you feel inclined to go in on this post because it is pointing out what weakens the black community, use that energy to do something in the community itself that will help strengthen it. Arguing about it on blogs amongst each other does not solve the growing problem of gun violence. It is plaguing whole communities where more innocents are dying than actual criminals. Argue about the fact that prisons are fuller than schools. Argue about how many are silent when companies are robbing them of their ability to start businesses of their own. Instead you want to get bold on a blog, save it for those that care about your valueless argument that goes no farther than your typed words while your community mirrors everything stated in this blog to the tenth degree.

A day in Twitter Racism: Ashley Patrick is not alone..

When you first look this picture, probably the first thing comes to mind is how convenient is it for her to have a black lawyer right now? America already knows there is racism of all kinds by not just white people, but also other races as well. Most will find that black people are hated by many, while the same people are revering the good things that blacks have created at the same time. African American culture is duplicated everyday by the same people who want them all dead. From Emmett Till, to Trayvon Martin, not much has changed by way of civil rights, or race relations because for many, hatred is functional to them.

Recently, high school senior Ashley Patrick, decided it was a good idea to tweet the n-word when referencing another student on Twitter. While she was allowed to stay at her present school, instead of being shipped off to an alternative school that deals kids with disciplinary problems, she is not allowed to participate in any extracurricular activities. What Ashley Patrick didn't realize was that graduation and prom were a part of those "extra curricular" activities that she would not be allowed to participate in. While he was supported by several black North Charleston board members, she still did not win her case. Obviously she did not weigh the consequences of her actions on Twitter. This is a case where ignorance is not always bliss.

But one thing about this racism thing coming forth on Twitter, many people find solace in being racist online, whereas it is not safe to do so offline. So people like Ashley Patrick are not alone, and are not in good company.

When a Celebrity Dies

We get it America, celebrities are our royalty. It seems like Biggie was right to a point that you are nobody till somebody kills you. Or in this case, you are forgotten until you die. It seems like whenever a celebrity passes, they are more talked about in death than in life. It just goes to show how valueless life is becoming to our society. The sensationalism of death is more intriguing than supporting the human being when they struggle to keep working, stay productive, or just to acclimate back to normal day to day living after experiencing a taste of celebrity.

Popular Media/Journalism is no longer a reliable source to get the correct information to the people. Instead it is trifled with misinformation and sometimes purposely posted lies just for sensationalism sake that when the truth does come out, no one cares to hear or read about it. It is like gossiping at the funeral. Since an online presence is almost mandatory to any written publication since that is where everyone seems to meet, news sources would rather gain hits on the site, rather than in the past when printed word sold papers, magazines and books at amazing numbers.

Most of the stories will be reaching, and even if containing factual information, it will be written to stir up gossip and unproductive conversation amongst the masses. So now when a celebrity dies, expect the misinformation, embellishments, predictions, and very little by way of good information. Expect plenty of errors, and defamation, and a whole lot of speculation. If that is what you desire to be the legacy of a person who in the very least, deserved to be respected in death, I guess things are just the way that it should be. For those of us that would rather hear more about their gifts and talents that they left us with, and information passed out as it becomes factual, there needs to be a maturity in how the media lets the masses know about the death of a famous or popular person, or anyone for that matter. But until that time comes....

Rest in peace to those who have passed on in the year 2013.

I am not the one to promote rap nowadays because let's be real, most of it ain't talking about much, and what it is talking about is nothing new. I was passed this jewel by +Phillip C.L. and I can say, "Good Lookin' Out!" I did not have to skip over any songs because each song was like listening to the storyline of a well lived life. I found the guest appearances to each make that song that much richer, without Kent being lost in the hustle. I mean how can you go wrong with the veteran Common, and the newcomer Ashly This mixtape was well put together, and if you ask me, Kent M$ney should make this into a movie. I found myself visually seeing each song as the script to a visual that could compete with any indie movie on the market right now.

I got old school from out the gate with "Reflections", new school delivery on "On Me", and even some lyrical skills that showed the type individuality that the industry needs on "Think About It". Kent Money just sounds sure of what he speaks of, and has what a rapper needs to show the ones coming up that they can aspire to be, you know that next level they always claim to be taking us to but never do. And to end this mixtape with a cypher, I am done. He just capped it off like it should be done.

I am late learning about Kent M$ney, but now that he is on my radar, I will be listening to and downloading more of his music. Take a listen, download, share Kent M$ney and tell me what you think of his latest music.

Reebok Could Care Less about Who Rick Ross Rapes....

Rick Ross, one of the most fluent storytellers of this era has quoted verse after verse boasting of violence, death and destruction in his community, and of his own people. Rick Ross fills his whole CD with claims of "moving weight" (which I think is true because he is big as hell). On his tracks he has created a world full of blasphemy, murder, drug dealing and consumption, prostitution, and every other illegal thing there is to be done. Yet Rick Ross like many others in the same genre become wealthy off of this type of music, and the industry stands in line to be associated with it if it will turn them a buck.

Despite this, Rick Ross has been endorsed by several companies, including his record label. With his latest, Reebok, withdrawing their endorsement of Rick Ross over lyrics speaking of rape by way of roofie, it is apparent that they draw the line at rape of women. Speaking of other illegal acts notwithstanding, was not enough for Reebok to say, "We see no reason to endorse someone of this caliber. Nothing he speaks about is uplifting, positive, or even legal." It took for them to be alerted by a group of people protesting for Reebok to realize that Rick Ross is not even endorsement worthy by a company that deals with Breast Cancer Awareness, philanthropic causes, and positive community initiative campaigns? So when you decide to promote an African American artist, you pick RICK ROSS?

Personally had they not even been inundated with protesters, Reebok would not even have looked twice at withdrawing their endorsement of Rick Ross and people like him. You don't have to even listen to ONE of his songs to know he is not worth using as the face of your company when he named himself after a criminal. Trying to show true concern for the community is never the case until it means they will have to lose money in the process. So Reebok is not pulling out, for the concern of women being raped, but rather how the company will look to other charities they work with, and for the sales in the global market. If his violent lyrics were truly a problem, they would have not endorsed him to begin with.

True R&B Crooner Luke James New Music Video "I.O.U."

Luke James gets it! His new single "I.O.U" and subsequent video pulls a little bit from that 90s R&B into today's Soul music that is desperately needing a revival. I was waiting for Donnie Simpson to jump out and introduce the video. I got vibes of Soul II Soul and the S.O.S Band from this video. With his leading lady looking like a 2013 version of Jean Norris-Baylor of group Zhané fame, it is nice to see black love, and a man relating to his woman in a positive way.

Every time I hear him sing, you hear him pouring his heart out with every long lingering note ending in a melodic wail... I cannot wait to hear more music from Luke James. If this is indicative of what we will be getting on his first major release, we are in for a treat! Great vocals, powerful lyrics, sultry delivery, you can't ask for more! Let's support him like we support Adele!

"Cocoa Butter" Can India.Arie's first single be what we need?

I am one that is all for original music. I am all for original lyrics and vocals that are from the soul. I am excited for any music that is speaking about love and the process that it is. When I heard India Arie was about to bless us with new music, I was so excited. I didn't think much of the rumors going around her lightening her skin, because I knew better. When I saw the album cover art, I was impressed at how beautiful it was, how rich. Then I heard the song, "Cocoa Butter" and got a feeling of indifference instead of my usual feeling of pride when India releases music. I found the song to sound like a commercial for cocoa butter written by a student auditioning for a reality show talent contest.

I did not see this as a song that went deep into the healing powers of love and it's ability to renew or replenish. Coming from someone who sang, "I am ready for love..." When you set the bar that high, anything less sticks out like a sore thumb. What I got was a commercial attempt at a song becoming the hook for some song on those Kidz Bop Cd, or some years down the line maybe slipping it into the back pocket of someone who can use it for a Palmer's Cocoa Butter commercial. Now that may be a great idea for those who can benefit from this monetarily, but for her fans and listeners nowadays, it is a disservice to those who know India Arie is musically more mature than this.

I think it is a rushed but therapeutic song for this generation who are so musically malnutritioned, anything that isn't about twerkin, drug sales or sex will do. For those who have experienced great music like Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, you know the difference. I think "Cocoa Butter" is a nice little ditty of a tune, but for her explanation of this album and the journey that it was, the other songs on this album need to be one step out of the Garden of Eden to make up for the shortcomings of this song about cocoa butter for the heart.

I find it funny how low standards are nowadays. People treat dating like renting furniture. They pick out some used person that someone else had in the past, or still belongs to, and use them until they can no longer afford to have them around, or they no longer fill the space the way you need them to. Then there is the phone tag, texting, instant messaging, tweeting, instagramming, and any other way of not actually bonding with a person without a cell phone being in the way.

Missing is the bond of face to face, where people actually talked and learned from each other. Because what is the point of courting someone, when we can always get some ass from the next person while this person just wants to "talk". So while you are mad because things didn't work out, and you are left wondering why you didn't know this person was crazy? Just look back on the fact that you skipped the talking and got to the sex. People are always complaining about the type of relationships they think they deserve, while their lifestyle dictates differently.

It is like there is this bubble many are living in fueled by the perceived lives of reality stars, celebs, and Internet pseudo personas that they create for themselves. Mind you, real life continues to be real life and neither do the two meet with cohesion. So you have someone now. You are going around bragging about them. You feel like now that you are around each other a lot, sex on the regular, and they call you by a pet name, you are in a relationship. Many of you are too light headed and giddy to realize the difference between a relationship and just someone you are having relations with. Most have lowered their standards and expectations to the point that just being a piece of something to someone will do.

Being a piece is better than being alone they say. To pass off this type of ideal as something to strive for and achieve says something about us as a whole, and as a singular person as well. There is the saying, "You cannot change what you don't acknowledge." But you do have a bunch of people who know they are in valueless relationships, and would rather keep the warm body, than the cold bed. It boils down to someone to have sex with and playing out a facade of being with someone. What is so wrong with building something real that is mutual and valuable? None of the important things that make up a strong relationship, are even promoted in the way infidelity is, just as long as we have that person dotting the door.

But for some, they are growing tired of being unsure of where they
stand day-to-day with the one they are growing attached to emotionally and physically. Because instead of building a foundation to their being with someone, they sexed themselves into something like a relationship. If you think screwing your way into a relationship is enough to keep you in one, then you will be surprised when he or she is screwing someone else, and then you are just screwed. Sex has NEVER been the only element of a relationship that has kept it functional and growing. But you can try if you feel you have sunshine down there.

Look back on the past situations that you followed this method. Did it work? Probably not. For those that seem to be together for a long time, how functional was it? Was sex all that you needed to keep things going in the right direction. You don't have to use excuses and smoke screens to turn the attention away from the twists and turns that relationships may take. It is amazing how in control we are in so many aspects of our lives, yet we walk blindly and aimlessly into relationships thinking we HAVE to surrender all to be with someone. There is nothing wrong with having mutual, and singular goals within a relationship.

If something is built purposely and honestly, it is not as easy to walk away as many do when things don't go their way. It is way easier to walk away from a apartment you have been leasing month to month, than to walk away from a house you built from ground up and pay mortgage on. Stop expecting full benefits from a part time situation. Having the sex game on lock, while everything else is up in the air is not going to help you gain that mate you desire to keep around for the long haul. If you don't wish for nothing more than a lay, then continue. But don't go around feeling as if you are in a relationship when all you do is having relations.

Bama of the Day: Jarret Anthony Helm

I often had to shelter my children due to the world being so screwed up, that children usually become the prey and victim. You used to see throngs of children out and about playing. But thanks to people like THIS, you have to always keep a watchful eye. It robs them of their ability to grow into healthy independence, but it at least keeps them from people like this.

This crack baby, 21-year-old Jarret Anthony Helm, decided it would be a good idea to put his medication (ADHD prescription medication, Adderol) into a plastic Easter Egg and set it out for a baby to find. Well a child did find it and ingested some of the medication. Thankfully it did not cause the child any adverse effects, but time will tell.

I really think it is sad that children are preyed upon in any manner. Glad the child is doing okay. I hope his behind is not only given a sentence befitting of the crime, but that he is evaluated again for other issues that may be wrong with him, and dealt with properly so situations like this does not happen again.

I want to be a nurse. I want to be a teacher, a doctor when I grow up. These words used to come flowing from the mouths of many children when asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. It was all about having goals, and being a part of society in a productive way. Well things have changed.

We are now seeing the wonderful benefits of missing parents in the home, school systems falling apart, corrupt government killing the programs needed for growth, and most of all, the emulation of the entertainment industry that glorifies all things sex, drugs and violence. This commentary can go into a wide array of things gone wrong in society but this one will focus on just one part of that, the Basic Bitch.

For the last 3 decades there has been a decline in what the black female thinks of herself, and how she presents herself in society. More are prone to become strippers, side pieces, and bust downs, than they are to emulate women of class, educated beings, or productive women in society. It seems like being a hoe is home to them, and they are becoming the replicators of this problem to the children they bear in the process. This is not to say other races do not have this same issue, but it seems more of an epidemic in the black community than any other. When a woman will skip college to become a baby momma of an affluent male in society as her way out, you have to take notice to that way of thinking.

Using your abilities as a professional twerk team member, being a "Barbie bitch", or becoming a PAID baby momma, should not be the goals of so many black females. Too many black females. Some have even stooped to being with the hood rich dudes that emulate celebrity males if they don't have access to a real celebrity. When did becoming the best woman you can be by working hard to be successful in your own right, become such a bad thing? So being the one in V.I.P, the hoe at some hotel with your legs up, or sucking off a professional athlete's member be the highlight of your journey in life? Is that the height of your goals? What happened to all of you?

A lot of females even after having a bunch of kids, and no education are still in the club seeking. But some of you have snapped back to reality ONLY after reality snapped you back to reality. You are now going to trade school, getting your licenses, attending training now that you have a bunch of kids, and no one there to assist with their care. Many are now realizing that every woman is not going to be Kim Kardashian or Amber Rose with the supposed happy ending to their risky lifestyles. That is a good thing when you decide to use your brain and hard work in your own right, as opposed to stripping and sleeping your way to fame.

If you are reading this far, and you are looking for solutions to getting past being a Basic Bitch, here are a few pointers to assist you with that transition. But know that although being a basic bitch appears to feel and look easy, it comes with a lot of issues down the line. The thing that most don't realize is, that down the line, being a basic bitch does not pay bills, and leaves you ill equipped to handle life which requires that you have a certain level of knowledge and abilities that being a basic bitch will never afford. So check this list of things that Basic Bitches do, and the solution will follow.

1. A basic bitch will waste most of the day thinking of a way to scheme the next man out of his money using either sex, lies, or some other conniving manner.

Solution: While this may get you a quick payday in some cases, if the person finds out that is what you have done, you may have Karma coming your way in the form of an angry victim. WORK for your OWN things, and you won't have that problem.

2. A basic bitch thinks everyone owes them. Life has a way of showing you that is not so. Getting Food Stamps, welfare and other government subsidies are NOT income. Income comes from WORK.

Solutions: Government assistance only pays a fraction of what you could be making if you get a job. Going to school to learn a trade or bring out a natural gift that can make your way multiplies your money times over. In some cases, you can be making just as much, if not more than the man you scheming on.

3. A Basic bitch will start or continue trivial arguments, not because they are right or want to be right, they just like the thrill of the fight.

Solution: Stop watching those Reality Shows. In real life you are going to end up on the wrong end of a blade, gun or fist and then it will all seem not even worth it. A mature person will find ways to avoid conflict and spend their time getting their money right.

4. A Basic bitch gives off airs of superiority, yet does things like put green weave in her head, wears low cut shirts showing stretch marks and hair on her chest, and will twerk anywhere, anytime.

Solution: If you are going to act like you are in the upper echelon of society, don't dress like a treasure troll stripper making an exercise tape for hood chicks. Stand erect, speak with class, and act like a lady at ALL times when in public.

5. A basic bitch goes from 1 to 100,000 in 3 seconds flat anytime someone asks a question. Only an idiot or The Hulk has to get angry every time someone says something they don't like.

Solution: Going OFF at every moment of conflict points to someone with chemical imbalance in their brain. Get yourself checked out by a doctor. You may need a medication regimen to deal with that. Otherwise, work on finding a solution to your inability to communicate with others without loud, belligerent displays of chaotic anger. It looks fun on television, but in the real world, it will get you alienated, fired, or hurt.

I could go on all day about this subject, but there are other things that need to be blogged about. Females that are basic rarely see the error of their ways due to the fact that most basic females/bitches think that being so is a lifestyle and work to be the best at being basic. So this blog is just for those who are seeing there is no future in being basic, and want to do better. For those that wish to continue being simple, carry on, time will help you change or you will succumb to being basic. But know that there is NO WAY to be BASIC and of quality.

Drew Peterson: Time for 38 years of Emotions

When the story of Stacey Peterson's disappearance made the news back in 2007, the moment her husband Drew Peterson showed his face on the television, many were annoyed by his smug attitude. When Stacy's body was never found and Drew Peterson's attitude became more and more irritating, it was disappointing that he went free with no one charged in her disappearance. His lackadaisical demeanor showed that he took the case as a joke in the media, and the family of the missing woman had to deal with it.

When it was reported in the news that Peterson also had a previous wife that was found drowned in a bathtub with no water in it, it became apparent that Peterson does not fare well with the women in his life. With reports of abuse, disappearances, or unnatural death of women had been linked to this man, it makes Peterson seem like the devil himself. But over the years when this case was going on, Peterson made a mockery of the judicial system, the families concern for their loved ones, and the two women who were either dead or missing.

Now with Peterson facing 38 years in prison for his 3rd ex-wife's (Kathleen Savio) murder, his tune has changed. He is filled with emotion, interest in the outcome of this case, and rage. Now when his 3rd wife was dying, or when his 4th wife was missing, both combined he did not show nearly the amount of emotion he showed after finding out he would have to spend 38 years in prison for it. You have to be pretty cold to kill one wife, be the suspect in the disappearance of another and have not a care in the world. Well now, he is a ball of emotion. In court he wasted more time blaming victims, witnesses, clergy, law enforcement, the dog walking on the street minding its business, and several others all while shucking the situation he is ultimately responsible for.

People like this have no remorse until it is time to pay for the things they thought they would get away from. Arrogance has a way of consuming a person and causing them to misstep. In the case of Drew Peterson, and people like them, others suffer at their hands before that happens. Rest in Peace to the victims, and we are glad Peterson will pay for his crimes.

As always I am annoyed at how unsubstantiated information can get passed around like it is real news, and people jump bandwagon and take it as fact. Some blogs whole premise is to take a picture and add a fake back story, and keep readership from all these lies.
Celebrities and common folk alike are often the subject of these type stories and now even inanimate objects are added to the mix.

So the ratchet bloggers decided to go pick a doll out of millions and attach a story to it. The "Adele" doll has so many variations to it, anyone who does an inch of research on the doll would know that this doll is a part of the upscale Jason Wu Fashion Royalty, Em'Lia and several other doll collectors and designer lines. When people purchase these dolls they can dress them in many different fashions, get their hair re-rooted to many styles, colors and lengths and make them as individual as the doll owner.

Which brings me to this blog here. What if men were inflicted with the punishment that Eve was given for disobeying God? Could you imagine the things that would change if men menstruated and carried and gave birth to children? Let's dig into this a little.

If in the Garden of Eden, God stated that men would give birth to children with the same equipment they have, could you imagine how much more sensitive man would be to what a woman goes through? Then again, they would still complain that women have it better because at least their vagina can open up wider. So again, women would not get any sympathy.

If men had to deal with the stretch marks that came with carrying a child, would they cringe less when they see a woman nude after giving birth to their kids? Many are quick to say that their wives or women "Let themselves go." after giving birth to their big head babies. If men went through even ONE of the symptoms of pregnancy to continue the blood line of their family, men would all have hysterectomies before they even begin to make the change into having kids.

Thankfully some things were not meant to be, and righteously so. Think of how many bloodlines would have ceased to exist as a result of men sterilizing themselves. Think of the lack of relatives that were born and passed on legacies, and traits that made many humans unique. Can you picture masculine products to keep them clean, and odor free? Can you see them playing ball that time of the month? Can we see them skipping going out to the club because the baby is sick? I don't see that happening. For a man to turn down sex because he is not in the mood, because he is bloated, not happening. Just imagine child support court. Just imagine....

Every year at the beginning of the year we file our taxes and wait for the outcome. Whether we owe or we will be receiving refunds we anticipate or dread this time of year for the simple fact it is something we cannot avoid without penalty. The reason being is anyone who is working, has to file taxes.

But this blog here is not about the tax process but rather the phenomenon of posing with the proceeds from tax refunds as if it is the thing to do. Countless photos of people from newborn to elderly surrounded or slathered in dollars of different denominations is one of the most idiotic things ever. Yet countless people take pictures with the money as if they have never had money in their lives. Even if that is the case, taking a picture with it screams ratchet.

Children that go almost neglected most of the year become a meal ticket to clothes, cars, bills paid, shopping sprees and so forth. Shortly after the money is dispersed, the money is gone, only to wait for the next year to come around and do it all again. Unemployed people sell their children to their working friends and sometimes even strangers to claim their kids for the EIC status. It is a cycle.

Most times the money is not even spent on the children, but it does not stop them from subjecting the kids to countless photo shoots with the money they got for claiming them on their taxes. It just shows how we are not good with money, and have no clue what to do with it. Instead of investing it, it is wasted on buying things that are worthless than the money you spend them on. It is time to stop posing with money and start investing it in your futures. So those photo shoots and illegal claims....

.....PLEASE STOP IT!

Kelly Rowland has been at this music game a long time. She is a professional, and is able to bring the house down without a doubt. However living in Beyonce's shadow can often make even the best, have to continually come second because it is well, Beyonce. Having grown up before our eyes into a beautiful woman, Kelly is continually fighting to find her place in this music industry. Being a part of the successful group Destiny's Child, Kelly had a great start, but as a solo artist, she has not fared as well as she deserves.

One thing about the original Destiny's Child, was that each girl had a distinctive look, and vocal quality that when meshed together, it sounded like liquid gold. With those voices divided, none have fared as well as Beyonce. In Kelly's case, she seems to be the demure one, with a presence that is more laid back and smoothed out, than the powerful, in-your-face, Beyonce. When first putting out music Kelly seemed to change her approach almost every single she put out. From releasing her first album, "Simply Deep", her first popular song was "Dilemma (Feat. Nelly), which sampled Patti Labelle, and featured someone else on the song. This did not allow us to know what Kelly's musical DNA was made of. But it was an urban favorite.

With majority artists having to get over the sophomore jinx when releasing music their album, this may not have been the case with Kelly because the first album did not necessarily offer a huge hit. However she was already a huge name being the success of her career in Destiny's child. That didn't seem to be Kelly's hurdle. She pretty much had to contend with two things, finding her base audience, and escaping the shadow of Beyonce. If her second album was anything like the first, this hurdle was going to turn into a brick wall. Then her second album"Ms. Kelly", five years in the making, wasted precious time because it did not connect her first album's popularity to her second.

With Beyonce dominating the charts, it would have been more strategic to keep a steady flow of music being released for consumption, rather than hide out for years to make another album. With the "Ms. Kelly" album released to mediocre reviews, she still seemed to be fighting for a foothold to at least cater to her still infirm fan base. This is not to say she did not have fans, but for the most part, there was no established identity for Kelly musically. That proved to be hurting Kelly more than living in Beyonce's shadow. With the release of the song "Like This, feat Eve" you could see visually Kelly dipping back into her Destiny's Child's history, and even borrowing a little from Beyonce. Follow that up with "Ghetto" and "Work" you could see her beginning to shine through, but that surefire hit, still eluded Kelly.

Another 4 years passed before more music is released by Kelly. A lot of lost time is not good for a musician trying to establish their initial fan base. But it seems to be the path Kelly continues to take. While Beyonce has music, movies and endorsements pouring from her, and her musical library overflowing, we have to wonder if Kelly will ever get from behind this shadow of success her former band mate has on lock. With the release of the album aptly named "Here I Am", as if to say, "Please see me, I am here," Kelly comes out with a bang. While her music sounds the same, vocals still on point, her subject matter changed drastically. In comes the "Sex Sells" concept. Her first major hit "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne, proved to be the first song that allowed her to perform as a single artist with major support from the fans. What is the song about? SEX.

After releasing "Rose Colored Glasses", "Commander", and " Grown Woman", the U.S. turned a lazy ear to this music, while overseas she fared far better, but still no cigar. Kelly was becoming more known as a individual artist, but this still did not give you a glimpse into the amazing artist that Kelly is. But it did give her visibility. So here are the questions that need answers to....

Will we finally get some great music from Kelly? Will her new album set her apart from her past music being looked over? Can she come from behind the ever looming shadow of Beyonce?What does Kelly have for us with this new album "Year of the Woman?"
