Where did Sam go?

So the other weekend, while nursing a hangover, I sent Jim to pick up breakfast from the local diner. It was Delish! Any ways, when I came downstairs at around 7 pm (don't judge) I noticed that my cat was missing. I looked EVERYWHERE in the house for him and he really really was gone. I was pretty upset and told Jim he must have let him out when he left this morning. Of course he denied it, but he had to have done it because I was in bed ALL DAY. Well I went outside and called his name and nothing. Jim goes outside 5 seconds after I came back in and there is Sam sitting right at the front door. Jim said "look! you just let him out!" I replied "no way i was looking for him and did not see him(along with some other words I will not mention)" I had to prove it to him that it WASN'T me. ha! I turned Sam over and smelled his belly and BEHOLD!!!... It reeked of grass. There was no way that him being out for 2 seconds would make him smell like a tree/shrub. After all that drama Sam got to take a nice long soaking bath in the sink. HA! Tricky little stinker. Curiosity will kill a cat they say.

Breakin' a sweat

I decided since it was raining to go to the gym in my neighborhood, which is a pretty good gym. Old but they have more than most neighborhoods do. I did dumbbell curls, dumbbell shoulder presses, squats with the smith machine and with the sitting squat machine, leg extensions, front shoulder raises. I broke a sweat and since I superset 2 workouts at a time I got it all done in 30 min. I can barely walk down the stairs now. I felt the burn for sure. It was exactly what the doctor ordered. I am looking forward to a run or walk tomorrow after work.

Bad cat

So 2 days ago I got bit by a stray cat outside my front door. It was a really deep bite and ended up swelling up the next day. I freaked out and went to the ER, which was right on the water, and got a tetanus shot. Animal control caught the cat and is making sure it doesn't have rabies. They said its really rare in cats but better safe than sorry. Here are some pics of the beachside hospital and my part that got bit.

11 year old for the summer

So I have my 11 yr old stepson for the weekend and it makes things a lot more interesting around here. He is a talker and also a video game fanatic so he does give us a break from time to time. I don't have kids let alone an 11 yr old so I am clueless as to how to occupy him and get him out of the house. He does like playing with the cats. Oh... I got the coolest thing today, a cat leash. Sam is getting used to it but he is always trying to escape so I figured he would like to safely get walked. That will definitely keep the little ones busy.

Back on track

Finally went for a nice 3 mile walk today on the beach. It's been about 3 weeks since my last run or walk cause I haven't been feeling myself, but I feel a lot better now. The beach was beautiful as usual and I got a little tan while I was exercising. Can't beat that.

Savannah Georgia trip

Sitting here at Huey's watching my husband eat crab cake Benedict wishing I would stop feeling sick. Been nauseous all day. Thinking it may be morning sickness but if it is that would be a miracle. So Savannah is pretty cool. It's old as sin and looks like there once was a fort or castle here. Didn't hear or see any infamous ghosts last night. Oh well. :(

Charlotte trip

So I went with my husband to Charlotte NC for his work and I have been chilling by myself doing my thing. At night I get to spend it with him and then we drink. Last night we found a place called Dandelion Market that had $15 per bottle any bottle of wine special. How do they afford this? We got 2 bottles and brought the last one back to the hotel room with us. It was a good ending to the trip. We will be heading to Savannah GA today because I have never been there and it is on the way home. Can't wait to check out Paula Deen's restaurant. She is awesome.

My first blog

So this is my first time blogging and over the past few months I have became very interested in starting my own blog. It all started one day when i was bored and stumbled upon several blogs that i couldn't put down. I think i read the whole thing in several hours. It was just interesting reading about random peoples lives and experiences. Since then I have been surfing the web trying to find ideas for a name for mine and what I would talk about. I figured it would be about fashion, daily life and my struggles with anxiety, living on the beach, my opinion about the reality shows I watch, my cats, my husband occasionally, my stepson and the trials and tribulations you have to go through being with an older man with kids and a crazy ex wife, the shenanigans my husband and I get into on the weekends, and I suppose anything else that is going on in my life. I will be a blogger that responds to comments or questions by readers. I will also post pictures cause I am always taking them. Won't be high resolution because I use my iPhone to take pics. I used to have a fancy expensive DSLR camera and never used it cause I was afraid I would lose it. Anyway, hopefully someone might see my life interesting enough to read about. I guess it's like my diary that I let any one read. 😄
