1. Robert Pattinson- Before he was a vampire, Pattinson appeared as a wizard in 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Now, takes the role of Edward Cullen in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's hit book series, the actor, 23, plays the love interest of Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan.

2. Kristen Stewart - her first major film role playing Jodie Foster's diabetic daughter, Sarah, in the 2002 thriller Panic Room (actually all this time I thought that the child of Jodie Foster's in this movie was a BOY!). Stewart, 19, is now a household name along with Pattinson, who calls the actress as a "good friend," though they've been long rumored to be dating. "What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other," Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has said.

3. Taylor Lautner - A trained martial artist, Lautner (here in a 2008 sophomore high school pic in Valencia, Calif.) competed in the 2003 U.S. Karate Open.

Currently linked to Taylor Swift, Lautner, 17, gained 30 pounds for his beefed-up role as Jacob Black in New Moon.

4. Ashley Greene - Once an aspiring model who was told her height of 5'4" was too short to afford her a career, Greene vied for title of Miss Wolfson at Samuel W. Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, Fla. Now, Greene, 22, moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue an acting career before being cast in 2008 as psychic vampire Alice Cullen in Twlight, a role she reprises in the New Moon and Eclipse installments.

5. Dakota Fanning - Before her debut as Jane in New Moon, Fanning took on leading roles in 2005's War of the Worlds and 2003's Uptown Girls. The actress, 15, adopted a shocking gothic look for her New Moon role, one she will reprise in next year's Eclipse. "[Dakota] so angelic, yet so weird," Fanning's costar Michael Sheen has said. "As Jane that is, of course. Like an evil red riding hood."

"Twilight Saga: New Moon": Movie Review

I was very eager to watch the second installment of the Twilight Saga: New Moon. With a staggering $142.8 million on opening weekend alone, I knew it was gonna be awesome, but boy was I disappointed. Our friend, Kristine was going to give us free movie passes but we decided to decline because the venue was quite far and the cost of the transportation there would be just the same as buying the tickets ourselves and just watch it at a nearer venue. So we decided to watch it last Saturday and here is my opinion and review about the movie. (Spoiler Alert!)

In "New Moon," Edward leaves Bella for her own protection because he believed that he was just putting her in danger and she takes it really hard. All through the most part of the movie all she did was writhe in pain, screams out in agony in the middle of the night that suggests she is really longing for her undead boyfriend. And during Edward's absence, there to pick up the pieces of the now broken Bella was Jacob her childhood friend who was quite fond of her. The two became closer to each other because of motorbikes, :) but before they could be anymore than just friends Jacob suddenly started to distance himself from Bella also the reason: it turns out the hunky Jacob has a gene that allows him to turn into an overgrown dog.

So here is their tragic predicament, Just like what drove Edward to leave her, if the two take the risk of being intimate together, Jacob could potentially harm her if things got out of hand between them. And all the while I just thought that they where leaving her because of her emotionless acting :) Bella still yearns for Edward, who appears to her whenever when she nearly harms herself. But when Edward thought that Bella is already dead, he decided to end his life by having The Volturi (the secret vampire council) kill him. Bella runs off with Alice to save him and leaves poor old Jacob behind. What happened when she finally met Edward there, I’ll leave it for you guys to find out. But just like the first movie this sequel ended up nearly bloodless.

Actually the exciting part of the movie for me was when Jacob and the other werewolves took their shirts off. That's all!!! Acting?? nah! Bella has a deadpan expression, Edward is okay I understand the acting it's part of a vampire thing. Jacob, hot! hot! hot!

For those who haven't watched it yet, you should see it for yourself but don't tell me I didn't warn you about the acting part. Oh! and kudos to Alice for a job well done. Bella should have an acting workshop first before the shooting of the 3rd sequel.

My Favorite B-day Gift I ever received!

This is the topic for this week in Girl Talk, it's a very nice topic because it makes me think very hard to remember the best B-DAY gift I have received in my entire life. It's hard since I have to identify one by one whether the gifts I received where from my birthday or from Christmas day, or Valentines day, etc. This topic also is not necessary means that the gift should be from my husband right? Oh my gosh! this is hard as ever I can't imagine.

Okay! I remember one: when I'm still in College my Bestfriends Helen and Ghie gave me different kinds of stuffs with Tazmanian Devil cover (I love Taz so much that time) They gave me a balloon, a mug, a pillow, stationaries, a fan etc. It is too many that I've got a hard time bringing all of it at home. I love it because I feel special, I am the only one in my circle of friends that received that special gifts in our birthday (and we are 12 in the group).

Another one, is from my hubby, he gave me a SWATCH watch after dinner. It's the best gift because that is one of the expensive gift I received from him. Unfortunately it was broken after 2 years and I accidentally misplaced it, I am careless right? Well, hubby already forgive me for that so the next time he will give a watch I know now how to keep and take care of it (unless it's cheap hahaha! just kidding)

Got this award from Melcole yesterday and I can't believe that she made this award personally for me. Isn't she sweet and so thoughtful?

For those who didn't know Melcole, she is a new mom, she just gave birth to her 1st born last June 2009. Her son is a handsome baby boy named George. Like me, she is also a a full-time mom. She is married to Edcole an American computer programmer and they are living together in Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Through this blog universe I gained online friends, and I consider Mel as one.

I wish to have more friends online so I am trying my very best to comment in every blog that interests me, because like every blogger I am also delighted when someone comments on my blog (whether good or bad). It makes me feel that I am not the only one reading my posts.

I am also trying to post articles that are interesting and not always about my personal life, that's why I chosen a mixed blog so that I can post whatever I want and think for that day.

While I was blog hopping yesterday, I have read one post (I'm sorry I can't remember the site) that one blogger had sold his site for 15 Million U.S. Dollars. I was shocked when I saw that, and even wished that my blog is also worth that huge amount of money.

To my curiosity, I searched for my site value in Google, and here was the result:

My blog is worth $29,338.57 or P1,349,574.22. The appraisal is based on Domain Age, Page Rank, No.of unique visitors, Alexa traffic details, Google and Alexa Links and URL Marketability Analysis (beta).

Isang Tanong: 2010 Presidential Forum in GMA7

I did not have the chance to watch the Presidential Forum on GMA7 last night. How can I watch it?, it was aired on Sunday 11:00 PM. Why is it that GMA decided to air it that late on a Sunday night wherein people need to go to bed early because the next day is Monday and it will be the start of the working week. I don't go to office anymore so I am not referring to myself here, yet I am the one who still needs to wake up first to prepare food and everything .This is a very important issue that should be aired around 7:00-8:00 in the evening and not late at night.

For the sake of those like me who have not watched it, here is the complete video of the show I got from You Tube.

Part2 of this forum will be aired on November 29, 2009 same time slot I think (11:00 PM). I hope GMA7 will change their mind to air it at an earlier time slot on Sunday or maybe at 11:00 PM but it should be on Friday or Saturday.

We almost won 61.5 Million in Super Lotto!

It is so disappointing that we only missed 2 numbers in order to win the Jackpot in the Super Lotto worth P61,532,524.80 or $1,337,663. This is the copy of the numbers we had bet:

1st bet: 07, 26, 37, 40, 48, 49
2nd bet: 01, 08, 12, 17, 20, 31

and here are the WINNING NUMBERS: 31, 12, 08, 07, 17, 48

Can you imagine that if we only put the 2 numbers in the 1st set of numbers to the 2nd set then we will become a MILLIONAIRE by now. It's really disappointing isn't it?

We barely bet on the Lottery because we are thinking that it is just a waste of money because there are millions of Filipinos who try their luck in Lotto and one or two out of that will be the winner. It's a 0.00000001% that you're number will be chosen.

Yet we are still thankful that we have won $20 because we only bet less than a dollar. We will try again our luck some other time.

Divisoria - the shopping capital of Manila

I went to Divisoria yesterday and since Christmas is near, I saw lot of people shopping as early as now. I thought that since it was a weekday and it's still early to shop for Christmas (well that's what I think) I will not encounter a big crowd. Well, I guess I was wrong! I can't barely walk and feel the comfort of shopping because there are sooo many people there. As much as I want to buy some give-aways for kids and some prizes for games I can't because it's so uncomfortable. I just went straight to my destination, I bought additional stocks for my mini school supplies store. I also bought some textiles which costs P15/yard, trow pillow case for only P30/pc. (in the mall it costs P50/pc.). I also bought curtains for only P150/pair
( P299/pair in the mall), Christmas wrappers for only P2.50/pc. (minimum of 1dozen). I bought 4 dozens of Christmas wrappers and will try to sell it for P5/pc. or 3 for P10. It doesn't mean that since I am a stay-at-home mom, I can't help hubby financially, although my income is just enough to pay for electricity and water consumption, still it helps isn't it?

For you guys who want to shop and save some more, then Divisoria is the right place. Unfortunately, at this time you would need to gather all you're strength to kick everyone's butt that goes your way (just kidding!). Well, if you don't like it that way then there's still some malls out there that might put some sale so just wait for it (just like me!)

I want to include this baby in the list of my Expensive Christmas wish list. This stuff makes me realized that I am living in a new world. Goodbye to the poor old mouse because you wouldn't need it anymore. Click the image below to see it's features and specs.

I really want this in my wall or rather in my table, but it is too expensive to make this dream come true. It is worth $1,497 or around 70,000 in Philippine pesos. Of course as a plain housewife, my Christmas wish list is so impossible to have, and I don't want my hubby buy these things, and then the next day we will have nothing to eat.

Do you want to have a Canon EOS 7D?

We just bought a Canon Camera (Powershot S3 IS) last month, it was a 2nd hand (used) camera from his office mate Mark (first the laptop, now this camera).

This model was launched in 2006 it is worth $499 that time, and we bought it for $178. Poor us, we can't afford to buy a brand new high quality cam that's why we bought this one. This camera is a gift of my husband to himself when he won in Foldees, as of now he is still studying how to use it.

Last September 2009 Canon released their brand new model, the EOS 7D high-end digital SLR.

It has many features that is far beyond our camera, and oh my! I was shocked when I saw the price it is worth $1,699 or P 76,500. For a professional photographer who takes photos for a living, then I think this camera is worth buying for. But for beginners like us, this is pricey and scary to use, because it is too expensive to be broken. Anyway, everyone of us want to have something this nice and expensive for FREE. So this contest of Canon is great for all who want to have this new camera without breaking their piggy banks.

What can you say about La Diva's rendition of the Philippines National Anthem?

Did you watch the Manny Pacquio vs. Miguel Cotto's fight? If so, you must have seen the La Diva's (Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos and Maricris Garcia) rendition of "Lupang Hinirang" (the Philippine National Anthem). Are you satisfied with it?

Well, for me it's just plain okay, I am not that impressed yet it's not that bad either. I just don't know why the people responsible in choosing who would sing the National Anthem did not pick Gary Valenciano. For those who don't know Gary V., he is half Puerto Rican that's why I thought of him.

With respect with La Diva, I know that they are good singers but of course we all know that Gary V. is better and he had already proved something to the music industry. I don't know if it's GMA-7 who is responsible for choosing the singers who will sing in every fight of Manny, but if ever they are I don't know what is their basis for choosing one.

I've heard that Ms. Lea Salonga is always volunteering herself to sing our National Anthem in Manny's fight; I just don't know why she is not chosen. I'd love to hear Lea sing. Manny has only 1 fight to look for, and that is his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. I hope when that time comes I will see Lea on the stage.

Pacquaio wins his 7th World title

Oh my! As expected David won over Goliath again. I mean Manny Pacquiao won over Miguel Cotto on their fight today (Nov.14) at the Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao made history once again, he jut won his 7th world title by TKO today. He is now the new WBO welterweight champion. Pacquiao defeated Cotto after referee Kenny Bayles stopped the already lopsided contest via technical knockout in Round 12.

We listened to the live streaming at the radio just now it is scary at first because we can't see the actual fight we are just listening to the reporters description of what was happening inside the ring. On the first round we heard that Cotto had some straight punches to Manny but when they reached the 4th round that's when Manny started to kick Cotto's butt. Cotto fell down for the first time in this round.

Well, overall I can say that the fight was awesome, in fairness to Cotto he did great. They are both great warriors, kudos to you both.

Congratulation to Manny Pacquiao, please stay humble and keep the faith strong. Please don't go to politics, it will ruin you and your image.

You've made every Filipino proud.

Sporty Day!

Mommy Moments day again, the theme for this week is "SPORTY DAY".

Ren loves to run, he even learned to run first before he learned to walk (sounds funny right?!) Whenever we let him stroll outside he always runs, my hubby doesn't let him do that as much as possible because he is thinking that something bad might happen. He will always hold Ren's hand or shirt to avoid falling.

This is very different in my point of view, especially now that Ren is already a toddler. I let Ren run or play outside without me holding him, but still I am there looking. I believe that a kid should enjoy and explore things, even though it means he will get dirty and sometimes will have some scratches.

I want him to learn how to stand up on his own whenever he falls. I don't know if this is right since this is the way I was raised by my mother, and I think I became strong and independent by that. Noel on the other hand is so protective because that is the way his parents raised him.

Although, my husband and I has different opinion regarding this, we are trying to be open minded and try to listen to one's opinion and belief.

I love bags with pouches or pockets since I don't want my things to be messy, but I don't want a bag which have too many pockets outside, that's why this Rootote bag really suites my taste. Who can't resist Chocolate?

As a child, I always wanted to have chocolates all the time, I will even lick the melted chocolate in the foil, and eat ever single piece of it. Now, as a not-so-adult and an overweight woman (ouch! this word really hurts) I am trying to control myself from eating chocolates. No! I am not diabetic, I just had my blood sugar checked 2 months ago and thank God my sugar level is alright. But, since I was told before that eating chocolates are not good to our health, I am trying my very best not to eat too much. I had it once a week when we do the grocery but sometimes I just can't resist it: the smell, the smooth texture, the almonds (oh! I love almonds) and the sweetness is calling to me. Before, I love milk chocolate, but when I discovered that Dark Chocolate is a better because it has more anti-oxidants then I had to choose it to avoid the guilt after eating.

This is my favorite chocolate, and please read the entire post because there is a romantic scene behind it.

Ferrero Rocher- my husband never fails to give me this every time we are celebrating our monthsary (particularly this heart shaped box). It even came to the point that I even asked him to give me anything other that this since I am sick of eating it already. But after months that he didn't gave me this chocolate I realized that I am missing it and want to have it again (oh yes girls will be girls!).

But the best thing about Ferrero that I will never ever forget is that my husband used it to propose to me and he made it so romantic. Do you want to know how he did it? let's reminisce.

First he detached the foil wrapper, and then he ate the middle chocolate, then put on the engagement ring and wrap it again with the chocolate foil so that I will not noticed it. He even put a small note in the paper that is sticking outside the wrapper which says "Congratulations! You have just won! Open to see what you've won!" then when I unwrapped the chocolate foil, the ring came out and when I continue reading, the message says "You're the sweetest thing that came into my life, now the time has come for me to ask you to be my wife". Shed of tears came out of me when I finished reading it. I hugged him and said "Yes dear I love to marry you!". Then the rest is history. A simple proposal but it is very unique and sooo romantic.

I love to share this story to everyone, thank you Girl Talk for making it possible. This is my 1st time to join here and just like mommy moments I know I will be going to love this also.

Have you ever tried teeth whitening procedure?

I am blessed with nice sets of teeth. I can't say that I make an effort to take care of it especially now. When I was still in high school, we were required by the school to have a yearly dental check-up and asked us to fix any problems found in our teeth, but after high school days I didn't have the luxury to do that anymore. I just make sure that I brush my teeth 3 to 4 times a day; I think that the last time I had my dental check-up and cleaning was about 3 years ago.

(I can't find any latest pictures that shows my teeth in a closer look, so I choose this. I am a lot bigger and a bit older now :( compared to this picture but my teeth haven't changed.)

Oh my! I think I need to do it religiously, even once a year or else I will loss my precious teeth. I even don't want to have denture teeth because I know that it is very uncomfortable and sometimes if you don't know how to take care of it, your breath will be bad as hell. I will even choose a guy with not so nice sets of teeth than the one with denture teeth.

Anyway, my topic is about teeth whitening and not the denture teeth. Although I can say that my teeth as of the moment is not that color yellow , I still want to have a white and cleaner looking sets of teeth. I don't know how much the laser procedure cost, but what makes me eager to do it is that I heard that teeth whitening can even help you loose weight. How did it happen you might ask? Well, I've heard that after the teeth whitening procedure you are not allowed to eat colored food so it means, water, water and lots of water.

Yeah! I know I don't need the teeth whitening procedure if my motivation is just to loose weight, but still it will help me to control myself from eating hahaha! As of now, I am using toothpaste with teeth whitening ingredients (daw!), but if it doesn't work I will try my best to save to have that laser teeth whitening procedure.

If only there is any organization out there that will help me have it for FREE then I will be very thankful.

I am loving KC Concepcion in Lovers in Paris

Remember my post about how I adore Angel over KC in their last movies, and I even had a poll on who do you think is the better actress? wherein Angel won over KC. At that time, I was really disappointed with KC with her movie with Richard Gutierrez that's why I have said that Angel is better. KC started as a theater actress that's why I have a very high expectations with her.

I really believe that theater actresses and actors are better than those on TV's because there's no room for mistakes. Theaters had no cuts and film editing, if you did wrong you must do something with it impromptu.

Anyway, let's go back to KC, well I can say that she is doing great with Piolo Pascual in their primetime drama show entitled "Lovers in Paris". She is becoming a better actress like her mom (Sharon Cuneta). I loved the way she delivers her lines all the time. Although she is fluent in english, she can deliver her lines in tagalog fluently also. She's so beautiful even without her make-up and even when her hair is not well combed.

My husband, never watched any primetime shows but when we had a glance at Lovers in Paris he was hooked up. This is the only primetime shows he had ever watched in his entire life (imagine that!). So, I really can say that the actresses and actors are great. I haven't watched the original Lovers in Paris (Korean version) that's why I can't compare if the Filipino version is much better. Maybe if I have time I will watch the Korean version also, so that I can compare.

Jollibee has an ongoing photo contest entitled "Quest for the Spaghettiest Moments". Wherein Jollibee is looking for the happiest, funniest or wackiest spaghetti shoots in town.

My nieces and nephews and even my son loved Jollibee Spaghetti because it is the meatiest and tastiest spaghetti they ever tasted, aside from their Lolo's home made spaghetti (unfortunately he's not around already to make it). The Jollibee spaghetti is their choice whenever we are dining out and when there is a special occasion like this one (the photo was taken during Ada's 5th birthday).

These photos are not our official entry, these are just examples.

It's Mommy Moments day Hooray! This is my 3rd post at mommy moments and I love it already. The topic for this week is about "Lets Pretend". Kids even at a very young age already knows how to pretend or make believe, of course adult sometimes tell them to do it and sometimes they just get it from watching TV or observing other people do it.
