Last week Mac Miller released this new mixtape "Faces" which is available for free download via DatPiff. With 24 tracks total, this project almost feels more like an album than a mixtape, imo - shit is dope!

"Faces" features special guest appearances by Sir Michael Rocks, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, Mike Jones & Rick Ross. That is not a typo, it say's Rick Ross, which is perhaps the weirdest name on the list of collaborators. Either way, this mixtape is definitely worth the download.

Check out the latest instalment in this really dope video series presented by Mass Appeal entitled Rhythm Roulette. In this edition, Detroit based beat-smith Black Milk gets behind the boards and puts together a really sick instrumental with a Christmas record.

The premise of this video series involves having a producer head on down to the local record store, then blind fold them and have them randomly select three records from which they will take a sample and turn it into a new beat.

Check out this really cool video of Canadian hip hop artist Shad repping Canada proudly with such a great lyrical freestyle on BET's 106 & Park The Backroom. All I have to say is DAMN!

Perhaps one of the most under-rated and slept on emcee's in all of Canada, if not all of hip-hop is Shad out of London, Ontario. Believe me, I don't say shit like that lightly, and I am aware that such a claim or statement is just a seed for a great debate of the best lyricists in hip hop. That being said, there is no denying that Shad is a lyrical genius who doesn't get enough credit.
