How to Fix Registry Editor Disabled By Administrator

This is the most seen problem in many PCs whose pc have been infected by viruses, Trojan, or Spyware.Virus creators/programmers always try to disable registry editor and other tools, so that people cannot fix their
issues or problem caused due to viruses.Even in work places in big company, administrators add registry editor disabled restriction so that employees cannot modify or change anything in company computers.
However, There are hundred of such article on web which are very confusing and are mostly the same (Copy and pasted).We have tried to simplify the solution so that even non techie person can do the the trick in seconds.

Follow the bellow simple procedure...
Basically, there are two possible solution to enable Registry editor.

Solution #1:
This will add and modify registry key and enable Registry Editor.
1:) Go to Start >> Run or Simply Press Window Logo+R
2:) Now in Run Dialog box,Copy and Paste the below command in Run command and Click Ok

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Solution #2:
This is another way to enable Registry Editor using Group Policy but if your pc is infected by virus then it may be possible that your Group Policy may also not work(Disabled).In this case the above solution would work good.
1:) Go to Start >> Run >> Type gpedit.msc and Click Ok.

2:) Now in Group Policy, Go to Local Computer Policy >> User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> System.
3:) Now in right pane, Double click on "Prevent access to registry editing tools"

4:) Now in setting tab Click on Not Configured and Apply and Click Ok.If its already Not Configured Change to Disabled and Apply the Changes and Click Ok.

The above two solution will solve the problem.Try any one of the above, However if the error is still not solved then it may be possible that virus had tampered with the registry program.

What is thumbs.db and How to Remove it

This is very funny, Initially when i got my first Pc and understood some of the basic like virus and antivirus.I consider and treated thumbs.db as virus because it use to create thumbs.db file automatically as soon as i
delete the file.I immediately called my engineer and told about this file and strange behavior.But i was surprised when he explained me about this.However there are still many people who are new to computer world and may treat it as virus or as a strange act.

What is thumbs.db file?
Thumbs.db is a thumbnail cache file which is used to store thumbnail images for Windows Explorer's thumbnail view. This speeds up the display of images as the smaller images do not need to be recalculated every time the user views the folder.
Basically, when you view images folder in thumbnail, you would see images showing in small preview(Thumbnail).This thumbnail information is saved in thumbs.db file in the same folder.So, next time when you visit the same image folder in thumbnail, you would see thumbnail images displaying very fast.Thumbnail cache file speed up the showing of thumbnails when you are viewing a folder in thumbnail view.
Note:The Thumbnail cache file is a hidden file.Go to My computer >> Tools >> Folder option >> Goto View Tab and put a tick on "Show hidden files and folder".

Disadvantage/Drawback.
Though it seems to be very useful and helpful but may not be good for computer with low disk space.thumbs.db file takes up disk space, Although the file size or space taken by thumbnail cache will be small.Suppose for 5-6 images in a folder may create thumbs.db of 7-8 kb. Folder with 500-700 images may create thumbs.db with file size of 800-900kb(Approx 1mb).If your pc have lots of such thumbs.db file on harddisk which have low disk space, you can save some valuable space on your harddisk by removing the thumbnail cache file(thumbs.db).

You might have seen when we remove or delete this thumbs.db file, it automatically created again.so, we need to turn off this thumbnail cache feature.
To turn this feature off, Follow the below simple procedure.

1.) Open My Computer >> Tools(from the menu bar on the top) >> Folder Option.

2.) Go to View Tab and put a tick on "Do not cache thumbnails" and Click Ok.

To delete all thumbs.db file from harddisk, we would search the file and then delete the file from harddisk.
1.) Goto Start >> Search.
2.) Now in Search >> Click on "All files and Folder"
3.) Now type thumbs.db in "all or part of the file name" box and now in below "Look In" drop down menu choose Local hard drives and search.
4.) You would see lots of thumbs.db file.Select all the file and choose delete(while deleting Press Shift + Del).

By Turning off the thumbnail cache feature will not affect viewing in thumbnail. This Tips is handy for computer with low hard disk space.

Follow below simple procedure to enable Task Manager...

Solution #1:
1.) Open Run Dialog box,Go to Start >> Run Or Press Window Logo+R.
2.) Now Copy the below syntax line and paste in run dialog Box and Press Enter.

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Solution #2:
1.) Open Group Policy, Go to Start >> Run and Type gpedit.msc and Press Enter.
2.) Now navigate to following location
Local Computer Policy >> User Configuration >> Administrative Template >> System >> Ctrl+Alt+Del Options.

3.) Now in right-Side pane, Double Click on Remove Task Manager.
4.) Now Choose "Not Configured" option but if its already not configured than change it to "Disabled" and Click on Apply and Click Ok..

Format Usb Pen/Flash Drive to NTFS

There are many limitation using Fat File System partition, .If you are using harddisk with Fat32 file system partition, then you can convert it to Ntfs using window format option.If you are trying to convert pen/flash drive to Ntfs, then there are no such option to be converted to Ntfs.By Default Window Xp won't allow you to use any other file System Except Fat Or Fat32.

Why to use Ntfs?
Ntfs is a new File System and has more advantage than Fat File System.Ntfs allow to create or transfer files on disk without any limitation.Encryption are possible in Ntfs.You can create Permission to access files or folder on flash drive.Ntfs has many advantage over Fat file system.

How to do this?
No need to be a Techie Expert, Just follow the below Procedure as explained...
** We need to format the Pen/Flash drive to be converted to Ntfs, so backup the important data first.

1.) Go to Start >> Run and Type devmgmt.msc and Press Enter Or Right Click on my computer icon on Desktop and Click on manage and Go to Device Manager.

2.) In Device Manager, Expand Disk Drive and you may see Pen/Flash drive listed, Now right click on the Usb drive and choose Properties.

3.) Now, Go to Policies Tab, By Default you may see "Optimize for quick removal" option is turned on.Change it to "Optimize for performance" and Click Ok.This enable the NTFS option while formatting the drive

4.) Now open My Computer, Right Click on the Usb Drive and Choose Format.You may now see the new option Ntfs in File System.Select the File System as NTFS and Format the Drive.

Note: Always remove your Pen/Flash drive using Eject option on the right click or by Safely Remove.

How to Remove Recycle Bin Icon from Desktop

As we all know, we cannot remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop.You may find many article on web to remove recycle bin by tweaking Group Policy Editor or Registry editor.There are no options or settings
provided by Microsoft to remove the icon from desktop except Group Policy Editor. Since, there is no options/settings to show or hide recycle bin, we would create a new settings/options under folder option, which will allow us to hide recycle bin when Checked and Show recycle bin when option is unchecked under folder option.As we believe and always says that "Noting is impossible".
Why to remove the Recycle bin icon from desktop ?
Some people don't like displaying any icon on their desktop, it also looks great with clean and empty desktop, gives more professional looks and If you are using LCD or Widescreen LCD then, this will look great by keeping desktop empty with setting good background image.Basically, it gives more professional & unusual Look.

Group policy is only available on Window Xp Pro Version, if you are using window xp home version then you can use another below method.Removing recycle bin using group policy is very simple and easy.

1.) Open Group Policy, Go to Start >> Run >> Type gpedit.msc and Press Enter.
2.) Now in Group Policy, Navigate to following location
User Configuration >> Administrative Template >> Desktop
3.) Now on Right pane, Double Click on "Remove Recycle bin icon from desktop"

and select Enabled option and Click "Apply" to Apply the setting and then Click Ok to exit.

To restore back Recycle bin icon on desktop simply change setting, select "Not Configured" option and Apply the changes.

Method #2
Remove Recycle bin from Desktop using Registry Editor.
There are lot of risk while editing registry editor, therefore i have created registry Run command which will execute directly and make the necessary changes in the registry editor.

To Delete the Recycle Bin Icon from Desktop
1.) Open Run Dialog box, Go to Start >> Run and copy the below line and paste into the Run dialog box.

Reg Delete HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

2.) Now command prompt will ask confirmation Yes or No to delete.Type y and press Enter and now refresh, you may see Recycle bin Icon gets Disappeared from desktop.

To restore the Recycle Bin Icon on Desktop back again.
1.) Open Run Dialog box, Go to Start >> Run and Copy the below code line and paste into the run dialog box.

Reg add HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

2.) Now, Refresh the Desktop and you may see Recycle Icon back on Desktop.

Method #3 :
As i said above, Window xp don't have any options or settings to show or hide recycle bin icon on demand.Since, there is no such setting, we would create one new setting under Folder Option, which will allow us to show or hide recycle bin on demand.

Add Recycle Bin Setting under Folder option to Hide or show icon on desktop
1.) Copy the below code and paste in notepad and save it with any filename ending with.reg extension.

2.) Now Double click the .reg file and Its Done.The New Setting for recycle bin have been added under folder option.
3.) To Hide Recycle Bin, using the new setting which we added under Folder Option.
Open My computer >> Tools >> Folder Option >> Click on View Tab and now Find "Hide Recycle Bin icon from the desktop" and put a tick(Check mark) on the checkbox and Click Apply, To apply the setting.

To restore back to the recycle bin icon, Remove the Check-Mark(Tick) from "Hide Recycle Bin icon from the desktop"

This is really funny and amazing, With this trick keyboard Led’s would start to act like Disco light. This trick can also be used as prank, try fooling your friends with this trick. Basically, This is a small program written in
vbscript which will make keyboard led to blink and will continue unless you stop it. The code not only blink the led light but also change its states of caps, scroll and num lock to Off and On. So when you would try to write something you would see strange behavior and you won’t be having any control on caps, num and scroll lock. Instructions:
1.) Open Notepad, Go to Start => Run => Type Notepad and press Enter.
2.) Copy the below code and paste in Notepad

Set wshShell =wscript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell") do wscript.sleep 100 wshshell.sendkeys "{CAPSLOCK}" wshshell.sendkeys "{NUMLOCK}" wshshell.sendkeys "{SCROLLLOCK}" loop

3.) Now save the file with .vbs extension, e.g. save file as disco.vbs
4.) Now execute the file by double clicking, you may see keyboard led to start blinking like disco light.

How to Stop this?
To stop this vbscript program, you may simply need to end this script program from task manager.
1.) Go to Task Manager, Right Click on Task bar and Select Task manager.
2.) In task manager, go to “process” tab
3.) Now locate wscript.exe and select it and Click on “End Process”.

How to use Indian Rupee Symbol in Computers

The history was created on July 15, 2010 by presenting long awaited Indian currency symbol. But as stated by the Government of India, You may have to wait for at least one year before you get keyboards for your
computers with the new Rupee symbol. However, a firm called Foradian Technologies Pvt Ltd, a Mangalore-based firm, has created a new font called the Rupee_Foradian. With the help of this font you could add new Indian rupee symbol in the document files

However, This Font have a drawback, they added the symbol key in place of Single Quote (which is below the Esc key). Since the single quote key is rarely used, they used this key to use as rupee symbol but what if the user have to type single quote. Eventually user ended up by changing font to some other font to type single quotes and again have to change the font to Rupee_Foradian, if user needed to type the rupee symbol.
I received many mails and queries regarding this font. I newer posted article on the same, since i was not comfortable in using the symbol by foradian and nor the user would be. I waited for better solution and finally there is some good news

Solution:
Finally, The Foradian have came up with new way to implement the font. Since, UTC accepted code position U+20B9 for the character of Indian Rupee Sign. This means that we could use the rupee symbol around the world without deviating from Unicode standards. However, It would take time to implement rupee symbol to ISO Standard and to all fonts. You can download the New font from Foradian but using font with the default keyboard will not be that ease. Foradian have came up with solution for this problem, Download the font from Foradian website, Download the Font. Follow the instruction given on their site to install the font and keyboard layout. If you need to type single quote instead of symbol just change keyboard layout from below language bar on the taskbar.
Note: If you see Square instead of symbol while pressing single quote, then please check whether the font selected is "Rupee Foradian Standard" or font with new rupee symbol at U+20B9.

Google Launches Google Music in India

Google in partnership with in.com, saavn and saregama has launched Google Music in India. Google Music, which currently only has Hindi music in its index, allows users to listen to Bollywood music over the
internet for free. None of the music is hosted on Google’s servers, rather it is streamed directly through the partner websites. Google only indexes the content.

1. Navigate to google.co.in/music to listen to Bollywood Music (Hindi) for free (Right now only Hindi songs are supported).

2. Enter the name of the song, artist or album name to be able to search the song for free.

3. You will need a flash player plugin installed on your browser to be able to play the songs.

4. With Google Music (as of now), you cannot create a playlist of songs. This might change in a few days though.
