Insa :: Looking for love in all the wrong places

INSA is a fine artist and designer who has established himself from a graffiti background through extensive street level work and gallery shows around the world. INSA has always explored different approaches and outlets for his artistic agenda, including designing signature collections for brands such as Kangol and NIKE, as well as producing bespoke furniture, custom cars and starting his own high heel company ʻINSA HEELSʼ. Other recent highlights of INSAʼs career include exhibiting his elephant dung high heels at TATE Britain and being invited out to the ICE HOTEL to sculpt one of the rooms.

For Random Acts, INSA has created ʻLooking For Love In All The Wrong Placesʼ, a critique of excessive consumer culture and commodity fetishism that is represented through the objectified female body. He uses the inherent "want" of humanity in this most modern context to question whether this is the real route to happiness.

Esqueezy :: Swing Ting "Hold Ya Corner"

Little video Esqueezy threw together for the track Hold Your Corner by Manchester production duo Swing Ting, which was released on Fat City Recordings at the end of last year. Old footage of Moss Side, a sweaty night in the Hacienda, A Guy Called Gerald DJing to a bunch of drugged up people on inflatables at a pool party in Victoria Baths (modern Health & Safety shitemare) and a mint green Lowrider.
The more grainy and pixelated the better.

OMG aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh there are to many beautiful images to post. To make this collabo collection even more exciting there is a accessories line with shoes and bags. Another big release from Skittles DOT2DOT is due out on the 7th of November.

Skittles, unique in his ability to not only consistently write innovative, inspiring and true lyrics but also complement them with strong flow and delivery alongside his own productions using a mixture of live instruments and digital production methods.

Inspired by his use of live instruments he has assembled an 8+ piece live band which has been showcased around the UK and appeared at a number of festivals this summer and is continuing to be showcased around the country.

In April he released Tip-I-Cal-Ly a dubbed out party smasher which lead to him collaborating with Austrian drum and bass lords Camo and Krooked on their latest album "Cross The Line" out on Hospital Records.

The collaboration entitled "The Lesson" received more than 400,000 hits in its first week online and was ranked most viewed, rated, favourited and discussed music video on youtube in the UK that week.

On November 7th 2011 Skittles will release Dot to Dot featuring remixes from Zed Bias, Dub Phizix and Joe Kalius.

The Chimp store presented a quirky editorial this season, that is to some extent literal to what the store name implies. Enlisting photographer Harlton Chesterton to come up with a series of black & white images, the lookbook flaunts a vast selection of beanies as worn by the ape-masked models. Titled “Barnet of the Apes,” the lookbook draws attention to select stocked brands including Crooks & Castles, UNDFTD, HUF and Dickies.
