Imagine this scenarios, first you are listening to your thoughts and try figuring out what fills your head, would you label them as positive or negative? Secondly imagine you're walking down the road with this thoughts, do you think anyone who would be meeting you will be able to tell what is in your mind?
The answer to number one is upto you but the second one can be pretty generic. Although people may not tell exactly what you're thinking, but they may have a clue of how you're feeling. For instance when you enter a party filled with friends, do they all fall silent as if something terrible had just happened or does everybody perk up as if waiting for something exciting which is about to happen?.
The answers to all this all depends with your frame of mind. Thoughts are very powerful, they affect your general attitude. The attitude you Carry reflects on your appearance, too and unless, of course you're a great actor and it doesn't end there, your attitude can affect the people around you.
Positive thoughts have a filling effect. They are admittedly invigorating plus the people around the person carrying positive thoughts are usually energized by this type of attitude
Negative thoughts on the other hand have a sapping affect on other people. Aside from making you look gloomy and sad, they can turn a festive gathering into a funeral wake.
Having a positive attitude, you'll have to feature healthy thoughts which are probably hard to do nowadays, since all around us, the media feeds us with nothing but negative thoughts. A study shows that every 14 things A parent says to his/her child, only one is positive. This is really a saddening thought.
A healthier outlook comes with happy thoughts and enduldging in activities that trigger positive stimuli.
You don not have much to lose by adopting a healthy and positive attitude. Studies show that such an attitude retards ageing, makes you healthier, helps you develope a better stress coping mechanism and has a very positive effect on people you meet daily. So what's not to like about a positive attitude? Adopt one today

One day a rich dad decided to take his son for a walk in the village to a home of poor people, they spent the whole day there and on their way back home, the father asked , " Son how was the trip,?" The son replied," Fantastic dad.

" Then the father said to his son having seen how the poor lived he asked what he learned from the trip, the son replied,"We have a dog, they have four, we've got a sweeming pool, they have rivers, we've got a car, they have donkeys, we've a television, they have their families with them, we each have our own rooms, they stay and sleep together, we have a wall around our house, they welcome all, dad they are hospitable and warm, we are cold to our neighbours, thank you dady for showing me a practical lesson of what it means to be rich, we are rich yet poor, they are poor yet rich, I got what I lacked my home here, warmth of a family and the love of people around you, dad I think we are the poor ones," The father looked at his son startled.

What we have in life doesn't count, what counts is what we extend to the people around us, the love we give and favors we do, life is not all about having all the good things of life but having the simplicities that define how humane we are, having the social aspect and extending a hand to all who needs to hold it,,, if we have same meal on different plates then we haven't shared a meal, sharing a meal is eating from the same plate, no genius foot kicks a shoe away and cries that a thorn has pricked it

By Ras Erastus(Aoro)

Baby Ethan was born at the Aga Khan University Hospital on 2nd October 2015 and diagnosed with chronic liver disease resultant to liver failure. He has been in and out of various hospitals within Nairobi and he is in urgent need of liver surgery, which is the treatment for this condition and it is not offered in Kenya for infants.

When Baby Ethan was diagnosed with chronic liver disease, we were informed by the medical personnel’s that the condition is life threatening and time is of essence since he needs an urgent surgery that can only be carried out in India. Without Kshs. 7 million, no arrangement can be made to take Baby Ethan to India from Kenya.

We have embarked on getting that Kshs. 7 million, a task that has proved to be very difficult by the day since we have exhausted all we had as a family for the last 7 months for the same purpose. On realizing the daunting task ahead we have decided to sub-divide the project into three major phases namely; Departure to India, Surgery at Global Hospital in India and Post treatment in Kenya.

Phase one involves getting the necessary travel documents for Baby Ethan, the mother Yvonne (liver donor) and the dad Ken; and the clearance of the hospital bills at the hospitals he was admitted, and this phase was successfully completed. We are now appealing to the well-wishers to help us from phase two as we are in urgent need to raise the money to facilitate his travel and surgery.

Our doors are full of bars and roads broken glass we can't pass or step on comfortably. But who do we blame, it is us and the input we put in life, characterised by our actions. If I wake up in the morning to follow smoke that leads me to where soup is ready, will I sit down a beat my chest saying I know how to make soup? I don't think so, the best I can do is give a compliment and the credit goes to the one who made it. That is how we are living, always dreaming of big things yet we forsake small details that count..remember a house isn't made up of stones alone, their is combination of concrete too, so is life, it ain't made up of big success only,,,small things we archieve mount up to make big things...lets wake up from the dilution of expecting big yet the small are forsaken and we end up staying on the fence as others feast

#IStandWithCarolyn #Medication #Hiptransplant #surgery ~ Her story

The day was on Saturday 1st, Feb 2014, at around 10am. I left home (obviously after a deep emotional, journey-mercies prayer from my mum, you know how wonderful mothers are when it comes to safety of their children) for Kisii town, accompanied with my immediate sister to embark
on my journey back to Nairobi.

We arrived, headed to Transline Classic offices and at around 11am, our PSV shuttle, KBH 460W, took off. My seat was No. 3 from the front. I was seated in between two ladies, Risper and Wilkister (it's
good to know your neighbor especially if it's a long journey, at least to have some light moments
you know).

Upon reaching Keumbu, (some place well known for sweet sugar canes, bananas, avocados, name them) some passengers requested the driver to pull over 'wanunulie watoto ndizi'. After a few minutes, our journey commenced.

Reaching Keroka, almost all of the passengers had already taken a nap, except for the driver of course and I coz I was playing games on my phone with some 10yr old boy who was Risper's Son.

Just a few meters away from
Keroka town, I also got tired and unknowingly fell asleep, with my phone in my hands coz I wanted
to text my other sister who lives along Keroka-Sotik highway and notify her that I'm going back.
Unfortunately that never happened. Mine was more than a nap coz I slept, totally.

From here, the only thing I remember upto date, was being woken up by a loud bang, screams and sounds of
shattering glasses. I was lost in my sleep, so I didn't know where I was or what had happened.

My spirit was far away from this world, coz I found myself in some sort of desert, all alone.

I gathered my thoughts, then I started conversing within my self "Well I know I was going to Nrb,but I know sijafika. If I'm dead, Okay, if I'm aliveOkay still".

Then I decided now to try and shake
my head to confirm whether I was still in this world. I moved! It was magical (no one wants to die before achieving their dreams). So I opened
my eyes.

That's when reality hit me that an
accident had occurred. What followed next was a loud scream "Nitoeni tafadhali Niko hai". The lady
on my right wasn't moving, the one on my left, I didn't even see her.

My vision was blurred, especially when I saw the driver sandwiched
between the steering and his seat, blood oozing from his ears. People surrounded within minutes with mamas shouting for help.

They tried opening the car door, it wasn't moving an inch. The windshield was wide open so I asked some guy to pull me out through it. I reached for his hands
pushed myself out.

When I touched the ground, that's when I realized I couldn't move at, all.

I had dislocated my leg. I pleaded for help, helplessly, coz I wasn't bleeding much and I was afraid that I had internal bleeding. Sotik traffic
police arrived on time and ordered another Transline vehicle headed the opposite direction to rush us to Kaplong Hospital.

I was among the first victims. On the road, lay a lifeless body of some bodaboda guy who caused our vehicle swerve off the road. I was admitted at Kaplong for 5 days and got discharged. One journalist and
one lady lost their lives, may they rest in Paradise.#RIP

That never meant that I was safe either coz upon reaching Nairobi, I developed chest complications and would be unable to breath.

I was rushed to MP Shah Hospital, where they asked for 300k to put me in ICU coz I had a blood clot. Well that was a huge amount, so we
requested that they refer me to KNH. That's where I was admitted for 3weeks, until the clot finally dissolved.

Thanks to Dr Ndavi.

My left leg was swollen for almost the whole of that year; But last year I was very okay until sometime in
Nov when the pain came back,
Of course all along I had been going for my physiotherapy sessions but this time the leg proved 'stubborn'.

An MRI was conducted Jan this year which showed that I had developed a condition known as Avascular Necrosis. I was adviced to seek
further medical attention at AIC Kijabe Hospital.

This is where I was last month and the orthopaedic consultant said I need a total hip replacement surgery, with a deposit of Ksh500k,
to enable me walk again, with an actual amount of 800-900k.

This why I have shared my story,
though in it there's still a lot I've left out. I am kindly appealing to you my friends, relatives and well wishers to help me raise the finances and get
my leg fixed.

Fixing my leg means getting my life
back.

Contributions can be sent to my phone
number 0727 488 261, I'll be able to post a pay bill account number soon.

Thank you and may
God bless you.

I said it. Being top of your class does not necessarily guarantee that you will be at the top of life. You could graduate as the best student in Finance but it doesn't mean you will make more money than everybody else. The best graduating Law student does not necessarily become the best lawyer. The fact is life requires more than the ability to understand a concept, memorise it and reproduce it in an exam. School rewards people for their memory. Life rewards people for their imagination. School rewards caution, life rewards daring. School hails those who live by the rules. Life exalts those who break the rules and set new ones. So do I mean people shouldn't study hard in school? Oh, no, you should. But don't sacrifice every other thing on the altar of First Class. Don't limit yourself to the classroom. Do something practical. Take a leadership position. Start a business and fail. That's a better Entrepreneurship 101.Join or start a club. Contest an election and lose. It will teach you something Political Science 101 will not teach you. Attend a seminar. Steve Jobs Last words as A Successful Business Mentor.

Steve jobs’ Last Words -

I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.

However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth…

Should be something that is more important: Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days

Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth.

The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.

That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.

Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands.

What is the most expensive bed in the world? Sick bed…
You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – Life.

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – Book of Healthy Life.

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down.

Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends.Treat yourself well. Cherish others.

but it’s actually kind of a high-pressure situation. After all, the name you
slap on that birth certificate is their name for life (or at least until
they’re 18 and can legally change it). If you don’t want to go along with the
overwhelming number of Twilight names —

So what’s a parent to do? Well,
you don’t need to resort to the ever-popular “just make something up” option
(Kazzideee? Tscharly? North?!). There are already plenty of perfectly good
names out there that are just waiting to be rediscovered. Take some inspiration
from this list of outstanding baby names with vintage provenances.

This pleasingly old-timey boys’
name — which has the same Latin and Greek roots as ambrosia, the
immortality-providing nectar of the gods — is just begging for a revival. There’s
a Saint Ambrose, but it’s probably most known from the late 19th century author
Ambrose Bierce. It doesn’t even rank in the U.S. as a baby name, making it even
more ripe for the picking.

This gilded girls’ name is the
feminine version of the Roman Aurelius, a name most notably held by the emperor
and Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius. More recently, Aurelia is the name of
the maid character in Love Actually. After not showing up on the charts
for decades, this one currently comes in at #833 among American baby names.

While you could use (and
pronounce) this unisex name like the spice, the more classic pronunciation is
“BAH-zul” — it actually comes from a Greek word meaning “king.” Either
pronunciation is lovely though, or this name isn’t even on the radar in the
U.S.

Here’s the thing with names:There are always going to be lots of different associations people have withthem. In the case of this boys’ name, it might be Anchorman. But sometimesa name is just too wonderful, and you have to get past it. Plus by the timeyour kid is 20, are people still going to be quoting Ron Burgundy? (Okay, maybethey will be. But Baxter’s still a terrific name.)

Blaise

This boys’ name (pronounced “BLEZ,”
from the French, rather than “BLAZE”) is a classic saint name, and also the
first name of the famed French mathematician for whom a unit of pressure, a
programming language, and lots more are named. This one just cracks the
top 1,000 American boys’ names, at #912.

Carlisle

Though this is commonly a boys’
name (well, insofar as it is common — it’s a pretty rare name), it would also
be perfect for a girl. It sounds debonair, but, oh, the nickname possibilities!
Carly or Lila, Carl or Lyle… this one is just spoiling for a comeback. Despite
having a Twilight provenance, it’s never been in the top 1,000 U.S. baby
names.

Clement

The female version of this name
— Clementine — has revived in popularity, but Clement hasn’t been so fortunate.
Yet, that is. This name, from the Latin for merciful or gentle, has been the
name of saints, at least one pope, and Clement Moore, the author of “A Visit
from St. Nicholas” (aka “The Night before Christmas”). Plus how terrific is
“Clem” as a nickname?

Cleo

This girls’ name sounds quite
modern, but it’s actually very ancient. Often attributed as a shortening of
Cleopatra (the Greek “kleos” means “glory”), it’s also one letter off from
Clio, who was the Greek muse of history. In the past it’s also gained some
traction as a boys’ name, but as of now it’s been unranked among popular U.S.
baby names for decades.

Dashiell

Boys’ names with a vaguelyliterary provenance — no, not just Twilight, think “Atticus” and “Gatsby”— are popular right now. Dashiell remains off the radar though, despite lendingitself to the most, well, dashing nickname ever (Dash!). It’s thename of basically one person, author Dashiell Hammett, and author of TheMaltese Falcon, The Thin Man, and many more classic detective stories. (Ifwe’re going to get technical too, though he authored books under it, Dashiellwas actually his middle name.) Nonetheless, this unusual moniker might be aboutto blow up.

Delphine

This is a French version of a
Greek name, which though some say is related to “dolphin” is more likely related
to “Delphi,” the site of a famed oracle in Greek mythology. It shares this
derivation with the flower Delphinium. Why’d it make this list? This obscure
name — pretty much last seen in Balzac’s novels — deserves a comeback!

Flannery

Another literary name, most
famously attached to the acclaimed southern author Flannery O’Connor. (Another
case where it was technically her middle name.) Though baby names that are
Irish last names (or at least sound like them, courtesy of the Cullens
of Twilight) are super-popular, somehow Flannery isn’t. Pre-O’Connor, it
was actually more common as a boys’ name, but now it’s firmly in the girls’
camp. And how sweet (literally!) of a nickname is Flan?

Frances

Thanks to the Pope’s
popularity, the name Francis is making a solid comeback. Somehow though, the
girls’ version is not — yet anyway (it’s in the top 1,000 baby names for girls,
but hardly popular). Meaning, more or less, “French,” it’s the name of people from
author Frances Hodgson Burnett (The Secret Garden) to Kurt Cobain’s daughter
Frances Bean Cobain.

Biblical names (think Michael
and David) are consistently popular for boys, and Gideon is just beginning to
get up there. If you’re looking for a truly classic boys’ name that hasn’t been
overdone, look no further.

Griffith

This boys’ name sounds
masculine and rugged, yet sexy (and okay, yes, no one thinks of
their baby that way, but remember the name needs to fit for life).
It’s derived from the definitely unsexy Welsh name “Gruffudd,” which was a
common name among Welsh royals back in the day — well, way back in the
day. This name seems like it would be popular, but it’s never charted in the
U.S.

Heathcliff

You may think of the irasciblecartoon cat, but what you should think of is the ultimate swoon worthy romantichero from Wuthering Heights. Emily Bronte created the name for thecharacter, thus dreaming up possibly the best made-up name of all time. Despiteawesome nickname possibilities — Cliff or (double swoon!) Heath — this name hasnot made it into the top 1,000 baby names in the U.S.

Hugo

Henry has become super-popular
for boys, but why not Hugo? Most commonly associated with the French author
Victor Hugo (Les Miserable, The Hunchback of Notre Dame), this name was
originally a variant of Hugh. An extremely common name overseas, it’s unclear
why this moniker — cute on a little boy, manly on an adult — hasn’t caught on
here.

Jasper

Jasper is more commonly a boys’
name, but it would also be terrific for a girl (it’s definitely got plucky and
resourceful connotations, like Scout). We often associate it with the gemstone,
but it actually comes from Persian (“treasurer”) — it’s sometimes given to one
of the three Magi. Of all the names in this list, this is the only one that
currently has any traction on the top baby names listings.

Lavinia

The actual origins of this name
are unknown, but this name quite the literary pedigree. Lavinia is the last
wife of Aeneas in Homer’s Aeneid (a role which was expanded upon in
Ursula K. Le Guin’s 2008 novel Lavinia), who also shows up in
Dante’s Divine Comedy. There’s also a Lavinia in Shakespeare’s Titus
Andronicus. Also: The potential nickname Vinnie. Vinnie!

Marcella

Though this pretty girls’ name
sounds Spanish, it’s actually derived from Latin — the feminine form of the
Roman name Marcellus, which is a diminutive of Marcus, which is a name that
comes from Mars, the Roman god of war. But still Marcella — such a beautiful
name, and almost never heard in the United States.

Millicent

Girls’ names that had gone out
of fashion (like Harriet and Penelope) have made strong comebacks, but somehow
Millicent hasn’t. And why not? Face it, Milly (or Millie) is a delightful
nickname. This name traces its roots back quite far, all the way to the
Germanic name “Amalsuintha” (nowthere’s an old-fashioned name), which
combines words that mean “work” and “strength.”

Orson

Originally derived from an
English last name that started out as a nickname meaning “bear cub” —
seriously, how cute is that? And yet this name is most strongly associated with
a famed pillar of American cinema, Orson Welles.

Otis

So you like the name Owen, but
you’d like to be a bit different. Why not give this boys’ name a go?
Popular in England but exceedingly rare on this side of the pond, it’s a
variant on a medieval German term for wealth or fortune. Though it doesn't rank
in the U.S., this name has a great pedigree with famous folks like soul singer
Otis Redding sharing it.

Roscoe

This adorable and old-fashioned
boys’ name is just begging to be brought into modern times. Originally derived
from an English last name, it’s never cracked the name charts in the U.S.

Sidra

Depending on the pronunciation, this lovely girls’ name finds its roots in the Middle East or North Africa. As“SID-ra,” it’s an Islamic name referring to what is often translated as thelotus tree, which Muhammad saw when he ascended to the highest level of heaven.Pronounced “SEE-dra,” it’s a Hebrew-derived name meaning order. However you sayit, it’s an interesting and unusual moniker.

Theodora

This lovely name, which has
Greek origins, belonged to several Byzantine empresses. Though the male
version, Theodore, is in the top 200 of boys’ names, the girls’ version has
never been in the top 1,000, despite lending itself to adorable nicknames.
Teddy, Dora, or what about a girl Theo? You’ve got plenty of
possibilities.

Finitely everyone longs to meet success or be successful in life.Unfortunately, many have waited for it as one will wait for a betting or a lottery award :

If only we created micro success each second in our lives rather than waiting for the White Elephant,we would be custodians of genius success stories.

"Lets pursue excellence and success would chase us suite,
On such bright Sunday of this kind, everyone ought to recall that "our Lord never created us to be ahead of others but to be ahead of ourselves, cumulative development."

To say though unlucky, some would sacrifice to make other small so that to look superior.
