Achieving Your Vision of Abundance

How can we have more abundance in our lives? It begins by noticing the abundance that we already have.

We cannot experience abundance yesterday or tomorrow. Only in this moment can we be aware of our richest blessings. Only now can we visualize those things that will represent abundance for each of us. The key is to realize that we will get no more and no less than we ask for, work toward, and believe we will receive.

Abundance does not begin with material wealth or treasure, although those things may manifest with faith and action. Abundance is first a state of mind. It arises from feelings of gratitude for all that we have and all that we visualize.

Sarah Ban Breathnach wrote, "Whatever we are waiting for -- peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance -- it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart."

Neither does abundance occur by chance. Lewis Grizzard (1946-1994), said, "A lot of what we ascribe to luck is not luck at all. It is seizing the day and accepting responsibility for your future. It's seeing what other people don't see and pursuing that vision."

To experience abundance, we must first decide what abundance means for us. Then we must see ourselves as already abundant. Most importantly, we must begin to give to others in whatever capacity we are able. We eventually receive in great multiples the abundance that we bring into the lives of others.

Ask yourself this question: What do I already have in my possession that will contribute to my personal vision of abundance?

Become aware of the abundance all around you - the brilliant autumn sunsets, the sound of a friend's voice, the touch of a child's hand. Treat every breath of air and every act of love as a gift. Take nothing for granted.

The Creator wants you to be abundant. He will reward graciously all who share their faith in an abundant world with others.

The Universe Always Delivers

There are times when I feel unmotivated and uninspired. It's a rare thing for me to feel this way, so I know that it's definitely time for a vacation.

I even went to the bead store today and only walked out with a few things. Usually I get a surge of energy when I walk into the bead store and see all the different colors of beads.

But today...nothing.

I've been feeling this way for the past few days.

I do acknowledge that I am a workaholic and these not-so-productive days is The Universe's way of telling me to just slow down. (Yeah, still working on it!) Believe it or not, I actually felt guilty for not doing anything this past Sunday when I stayed in bed all day long!

I do like this reminder that it's ok to do nothing: The Art of Doing Nothing posted over at Zen Habits.

When I start to feel blah I also turn to YouTube for inspirational messages.

I came across this video clip of Tony Robbins talking about clarity and purpose. It really helped me get back into focus...I wanted to share it with you for those of you who are feeling the same way.

I love it when The Universe delivers reminders like these at just the right time!

Your Connection to Abundance May Be on Twitter

One of my favorite social networking websites to visit is Twitter. For those of you who don't know, Twitter is the social networking/social media platform that is also known as a micro-blogging tool. Check out an explanation of Twitter I've written here.

One of the nice things about Twitter is that you can connect with like-minded people. I've found other awesome inspiring bloggers who write about the Law of Attraction and abundance. I also follow people who offer inspiring quotes.

My philosophy regarding Twitter is this: You just never know you're going to meet.

You may have a follower who becomes your best customer or supporter or you might connect with someone who inspires you to do great things!

Recently I attended the San Diego Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards Ceremony which included an exhibit hall full of local businesses. It was there that I finally met Giovanna Garcia, someone I've been following on Twitter for awhile now.

How to Really Live an Abundant and Good Life

Life is a roller coaster ride - up and down, up and down, round and round…Most of the time it seems as if there are more down times than there are up times. Going down is scary, but it can also be exhilarating if you let go and just ride the wave. Living an abundant and good life is about enjoying both the up and down times - and everything in between.

As I’ve written in a previous post, I’m learning how to slow down my life even more. Actually, “slow down” isn’t really the right phrase - it’s more like I’m learning how to enjoy each and every moment in the day. Even a simple activity such as brushing my teeth has become an opportunity to meditate and be grateful that I have teeth to eat food with!

Allowing Life to Unfold

It’s amazing what happens when you just let go and allow the flow of life to just unfold. When we’re rushing around trying to get more done, it seems as if there isn’t enough time in the day. Rushing around is actually counter-productive because you end up using more energy stressing over what needs to be done and what hasn’t been done yet.

Stop. Take a breath.

This may sound like an old cliché, but it bears repeating: Life is not a 100 yard sprint, it’s a marathon.

Pace Yourself

When I was in high school, a friend of mine talked me into joining the cross-country team. I told her, “No way! I can’t run long distances!” She begged and pushed and begged for me to run with her…and so I gave in.

Oh, I was just a little terrified, but you know what - that was probably one of most eye-opening experiences of my life.

At the end of the season our team participated in a half-marathon and the whole time I was running I kept telling myself, Just pace yourself…Just pace yourself… I ended up finishing in the middle of the pack - which was perfectly fine with me. I was just happy to have made it through the season!

In this day and age everything is done at lightning speed (at least on the internet, it is!) We seem to be running toward this finish line that promises a life of happiness and riches. However, as we’ve seen from the countless number of reality TV shows featuring “rich” people, life with tons of money isn’t necessarily a happy life.

The Perfect Life Is Enjoying Each Moment

So what if you’re not “ahead” of everyone else when it comes to living a perfect life as defined by other people’s standards. Just know that this perfect life you’re so busy running after is right here, right now.

Living a truly an abundant and good life is knowing that your life is perfect just the way it is.

Living and enjoying each moment is what you’re here for.

No matter what’s going on right now, it’s your job to understand that everything is happening the way it’s supposed to happen.

Just ride the roller coaster! Roller coasters are supposed to be fun!

Your Life is Calling

I just finished reading this blog post by Brian Tracy and felt compelled to share it with you...What is YOUR true calling in life?

I read the article and felt this surge of inspiring energy fill my body! I hope you feel the same way after reading it ;)

My favorite part is:

Your job throughout your life is to discover your heart’s desire. It is only then that you will be truly happy, completely successful and totally fulfilled.

I'm starting to sense this channel of energy opening up wider and that I'm getting closer and closer to my true calling in life. Although I'm really enjoying my writing business, I'm starting to gravitate towards other things.

$5K Per Day Video Review: The Power of Subliminal Messages to Attract Money and Wealth

If you're looking for a way to attract wealth and money, I'm going to share with you a video to help you out...

I've written quite a few posts about how to attract money (see "Related Posts" below). I recommend reading those posts as they're part of the recipe for money-making success. However, one technique that is really working for me now is watching subliminal wealth videos. I briefly mentioned this technique in a past post, Less Stuff, More Meaning, but I'd like to delve deeper into the power of subliminal messages and how they work. I'm also going to review the $5K Per Day video that I've been watching these past few months.

The Power of Subliminal Messages

In the context of attracting wealth, subliminal messages are positive wealth or money affirmations that are flashed on a screen at a very high speed. These messages cannot be read by the eyes, but they're registered and understood by your subconscious mind.

The $5K Per Day Video

I've come across this $5K Per Day video many times in the past and finally I took it as a sign that I should go ahead and purchase it. I'll admit that even I was a tiny bit skeptical even though I like to maintain an open mind about everything.

I started watching the video twice a day - 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night. When I'm watching this subliminal wealth video, my mind is relaxed and I'm simply staring at different pictures that represent money and living the good life. The video is similar to a virtual vision board except that they include these subliminal messages which flash rapidly across the screen.

The results of watching the $5K Per Day subliminal wealth video have been amazing. Here is how my money vibrations have changed so far:

I no longer have to advertise my writing or blogging services. Clients are contacting me out of the blue to write web content for them. All of these new clients discovered a blog or article I've written and like my work.
Current clients are giving me work on a more consistent basis.
My passive income has doubled or tripled! As some of you know I own many blogs. Well, advertising revenue has increased every month and I'm making even more money via the various affiliate programs I'm associated with.
I received a tip from a friend that is going speed up the process of getting my ebook published and get me closer to attracting more passive income.

If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend watching the movie, "Yes Man" starring Jim Carrey. Knowing Jim Carrey, I expected a very funny movie and he certainly didn't disappoint.

The message we get from this movie is to be more open to opportunities that come into our life. We also learn that to truly live life is to find your passion and do the things that you really want to do.

Saying "Yes" to abundance means being fearless. You open up your soul and allow the positive energy to flow. Don't allow other people to make you think that having abundance is wrong. The Universe wants you to be abundant so that you can spread that wealth to others and do the things that inspire you.

I've been a "Yes" woman my whole life. I ventured out into the world and learned new things. I've become a more open-minded person because of it. However, there was a point in my life when I was saying "Yes" to other people and saying "No" to myself. Don't let this be you! Say "Yes" to your beliefs and passions...

Living the Good Life: Taking Time Out

I've taken a much-needed break away from the computer the past couple days just to rest and nurse this flu that I've come down with. I'm the type of person that is always on the go and always doing something on the "To Do" list...and as much as I preach "less is more", I sometimes don't follow my own advice!

So, for the past couple days I've treated myself by getting some rest and quiet time just to think about life. I realized during that time that I haven't been putting my health as a priority. This is the second time this year that I came down with the flu, so The Universe is definitely sending me a message.

Before I came down with the flu I had just started doing yoga every other day which helped me re-energize. However, I realize now that I don't give myself enough time throughout the day to just really relax and be in quiet mode.

Taking time out for yourself is part of living a good life! It can't always be about being productive, reaching all those goals, and helping everybody.

This was another gentle reminder to just live in the moment and to just be happy where I am in my life right now. I think I've been really focused on my goals and achieving them these past couple months. Also, I've been very busy helping other people in my life that I haven't given myself any breathing space...and I should know better!

How about you? Are you taking time out for yourself? Even if it's just 10 minutes a day, carve out time to take care of your soul! I know I've learned my lesson ;)

Less Stuff, More Meaning

We are living in a time marked by constant news of the recession, corporate lay-offs, and seemingly never-ending talk about how "times are tough".

Part of the reason many people are experiencing tough times is because they tried to keep up the Jones' and didn't live within their means.

Not too long ago Oprah aired a show that featured families who had overextended themselves and now were living in a deep hole full of debt and despair. One family was spending in excess of $400 a week eating out! Oprah challenged all of the families to go one week without spending money.

Of course, this was a huge challenge for the families who were used to a certain lifestyle! One family actually sat down and had dinner together...for the first time in two years.

My fiance and I had a conversation today about lottery winners and how many of them end up broke not too long after the windfall. What I've learned is that if you go through your whole life not having anything and all of a sudden you have all this money...You end up going crazy wanting to buy up everything in sight. Also, if your life doesn't feel very meaningful, you just use all the "stuff" to fill the void you have in your life.

Having a prosperity mindset is fundamental to having and keeping the abundance flowing into your life.

When you have a prosperity mindset, you're perfectly ok with what you have. You don't feel the need to look better or have a better car than your neighbor. You see abundance in everything; even the green grass around you is considered abundance.

When you have a prosperity mindset, you find meaning in your relationships and the work that you do.

When you have a prosperity mindset, you know that abundance is always available to you. You are open-minded and allow that abundance to flow into your life.

Awhile back I shared a couple ideas on how you can create a prosperity mindset. Nowadays I've been using a combination of subliminal wealth videos and mp3 wealth meditations to embed affirmations into my subconscious which have really worked for me. Subliminal messages are very effective because your "thinking mind" doesn't resist these messages. For example, if you say to yourself, "I am rich", oftentimes your conscious mind will reply with, "Yeah, right! You're not rich! Look at your bank account!" With subliminal messages, they go straight to my subconscious without any resistance from the nay-saying conscious mind.

The Power of Intention and Attracting Abundance

It was almost four years ago that I recommended reading The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer. This book and other books by Dr. Dyer have been instrumental to my personal development and life philosophies.

I came across this clip of Wayne Dyer's presentation on YouTube - the PBS special that I "happened to come across" that began my journey to abundance. Watch the first 10 minutes...(Email readers will have to click here to watch the video)

It's amazing how much more powerful you become when you intend to do something versus wanting to do something or attract something. Even the process of saying aloud "I intend to...." is very different from saying, "I want to..." Try it and feel the difference in the energy behind the words!

So if it's abundance that you want to attract into your life, create an intention to do so. Instead of saying, "I wish to attract abundance" or "I want to attract abundance", say "I intend to attract abundance!"

Good Life Thought of the Week

"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." -- Albert Einstein

When I read this quote, I think about how focusing on the positive things in life attract more positive things to you. Likewise, if you think everything is a miracle, more of those miracles will flow into your life!

So, how do you do that? How do you even start being a more positive person if you haven't been in the past?

I recommend reading this article, 9 Ways To Be More Positive, which has some good tips to help you get started. One tip I would add is to stop watching the news on TV that is always talking about the doom and gloom of our economy!

What Is Success?

"Success is discovering who you are..."

This is what Rob Cooke says in this excellent post titled "You Are Success" over at his blog, Neural Recon Report.

I was pretty moved by what Rob shared because for so many years I chased the idea of success thinking that it was a destination to be arrived at. My idea of success was very typical: Good-paying career, college degree, house with the white picket fence, nice car, and the whole nine.

I love when Rob says this:

"To succeed is to remember what it is that is held deep within you, what you were born with and are here to share. By discovering your uniqueness and expression of it, you have success because your whole way of being will be in alignment with who you are and there will be no resistance to what is because you will be who you truly are and therefore want to be."

I think that many people try too hard to fit into society's definition of success or rather, they try to be something they're not. Success is staying true to yourself.

Truth is, everyone has a definition of success. Those of you who have been reading this blog for awhile may recall my theory of success which I shared three years ago. I would say that those thoughts still ring true today.

I love Bill Strickland's idea of success:

Success is something you assemble from components you discover in your soul and your imagination. Authentic success, the kind of success that will enrich your life and enlarge your spirit, the only kind of success that matters, comes from knowing and trusting the deepest aspirations of your heart.

I'm not here to judge people who think that having money and material abundance means success. I just think it gets to the point where chasing this money becomes an obsession - meanwhile you lose your sense of self. You then start thinking that people who have less than you are less of a person.

Religion and the Law of Attraction

Have you ever wondered how the Law of Attraction fits into religion?

I spend a great deal of time online reading other blogs and watching videos on YouTube that talk about prosperity and the Law of Attraction. What I've noticed is that there are people out there who think that having this desire to live an abundant life is a religion in itself.

I used to think that people who were rich were bad people who exploited the poor...that people who thought about being prosperous were "money hungry". In retrospect, I realize that I was just jealous of those people. I've learned now that there are many people who are prosperous and very spiritual or religious.

My thoughts on the Law of Attraction and religion coincide with the author of Feeling Good:

"I see the study of Law of Attraction as a component of my overall spiritual journey because, as far as I am concerned, Law of Attraction, Universal Consciousness, The Creator, The Tao, Allah, and God, along with a host of others, are all simply different terms for the same thing. I also acknowledge that we are all individuals, each on our own path, and that some may have very different views from myself."

I believe that everything on this earth was created by God...and that goes for money as well. God put all of this here for us to experience it. The Law of Attraction is part of The Universal Energy that is a part of all of us, regardless of what religion we are affiliated with.

I Am a Witness! Money Reiki Healing with Amy Flynn

People have different techniques to reprogram their mind to think more abundantly. Previously here I've talked about visualization, vision boards, writing down money goals, affirmations, and more.

Recently I've been doing research on energy healing to attract abundance, particularly, Reiki healing.

While spending time on Twitter, I discovered Amy Flynn's website, Wealth ~ Abundance ~ Joy NOW!. Amy offers a free Money Reiki Healing that I signed up for...

On a selected day and time, Amy sends you her energy currents. For me it was on a Thursday night a few weeks ago. I went into a room so I wouldn't be interrupted and just meditated during the time frame Amy specified.

As I laid there on a couch, I could feel this warm energy swirling around in my body. I felt so calm and at peace after the session.

So did this Money Reiki Healing work?

Yes, it did!

A couple days later I started getting emails from past clients I hadn't heard from in awhile asking me to write more content for them. One of the clients even paid me almost double my hourly rate - and I didn't even ask for the raise! I also closed on a big deal for advertising on many of my blogs.

All of this happened within a week of the healing session!

If you're a follower of personal development teachers like I am, you probably have already heard about "The Masters Gathering".

Six Steps to Manifesting a "No Fear" Year From Rich German

One of my intentions for this year is to take fearless action in all aspects of my life, so when I found out about Rich German's free teleseminar, How to Manifest a "No Fear" Year (replay available now), I knew that this was something that I should listen to.

Rich offered some great tips, so I thought I'd pass on all the goodness to you. Here are some of the notes I jotted down from the call...

Step #1: Feel good - the most important thing. All manifestation begins with feeling good. Make feeling good your #1 priority in life.

Step #2: Set forth your intention. Over 90% of manifestation occurs in the declaration. Decide what you want!

Step #3: Take inspired action. Key word here is "inspired". When you take inspired action, the line between work and play will cease to exist. The #1 thing that stops people from taking action is FEAR.

Ask yourself: What are you afraid of? Define your worst-case scenario. What's the worst thing that could happen? What are the fears, doubts, and What If's when you think about making the changes that you want or need to make? Acknowledge that fear and then take inspired action.

Your worst-case scenario is better than most people's best-case scenario. 50% of the world's population lives on less than $2 a day. Your worst case scenario will probably never happen. Your fear is not real! Your fear is an illusion created by the mind.

What are the positive outcomes externally and internally that will happen?
* Confidence goes up
* Self-esteem goes up
* Worthiness goes up

What are you putting off out of fear? What we most fear doing is the one thing we actually need to do. What is the cost of inaction?

Step #4: Release THE HOW. Don't get caught up in how things need to occur. Getting stuck in "the how" will kill your intention.

Step #5: Be a "YES" to life! Get in the habit of saying, "Yes!"

Step #6: The intention manifests. Get in the act of receiving or allowing. Get out of your way! No more self-sabotage!

**Surrender - The real secret to everlasting peace and prosperity. Imagine how it would feel to live in a state of peace...to know and trust that everything will be taken care of.
