Some Main Features Of 5800 Converted 2 C6 are enlisted Below.

Note: the stuffs provided here are only for those nokia 5800 phones with rm 356

1, and C6 received the same interface and features and some characteristics of N97;

2, C6 of the stroke to unlock the window interface;

3,5 × 4 and 4 × 4 menu display (Note: This is a unique interface c6 and n97);

5, built-in QuickOffice;

The Flashing procudure is very similar To my older posts Out in this Blog, Still i am pastin it here.. Just to refresh You

Step 1

Install Jaf, start it up with pkey.

windows 7 users see this post regarding installing & using jaf if you are facing any sort of trouble

Now launch JAF and set options like in picture below:

Notes:
Go to the BB5 tab and
Disable crt 308
Disable Normal mode
Select Manual flash & Dead Usb

Step2
Now select your phone by Pressing Use Ini

Now TURN OFF your phone and connect via datacable.
click FLASH button ,
press the power button when asked for, give the power button a deep press.. dont press and hold.

Step 3

Now Keep Your eye locked in the jaf log..
Find the location were jaf is searching for your firmwire files.
See the picture below.

I have marked in red the location jaf is searching for my firmwire files.
so the firmwire files you downloaded.. has to be pasted to the location were jaf is searching your firmwire files.
If such a location doesnt exist, create it manually.
once you have copied the files to appropriate location
click on the options use Ini and select your phone model when prompted, now the jaf will load your firmwire files , as shown in the below snap

after that hit the flash button... and connect ur fone via data cable,...
wen jaf asks 2 switch on the phone.. just a deep press on power button, [please dont press and hold, just give a fast depp prees,dats fine...]
jaf will strt de flashin processes...

kaboommmm...u"ll have a brand new nokia c6 in ur hand.... just aftwr 5 mins

Some common Question & answers abt the
firmwire

Q - What do you mean with updated music player? Is it even better than v51 one?
A - The UI is improved like the N97 music player

Q - Is it possible to get the original 3x4 menu?
A - Yes. You will have your choice to change

Q - Do we have to mod it with tool or just select in the menu options for the 3x4 menu?
A - You will have to mod the grid xml in resource/grid/

Q - Is this C6 FW or a mixture of both N97 and C6 FWs?
A - No, it a mixture of both 5800/5530 and C6 FWs

Q - Does this N97 firmware have full N-Gage support using Vitural Keyboard or playing touch and accelerometer supported games?
A - No. 5800/5530 don't have hardware graphic acceleration to play these games

Q - Have you ported the TV-out to C6 FW?
A - Yes and it is working on Nokia 5800. Nokia 5530 doesn't support this feature

Q - Is there any difference between using N97 or C6 firmware?
A - The C6 firmware has the Slide to Unlock feature while the N97 firmware does not. There are also updated apps like email, etc...

Q - Can we download widgets from ovi store?
A - Yes, just like the original C6 and N97

Q - Has the invalid server bug in 5800 v50/51 been fixed in this firmware?
A - We haven't step on such bug. So we believe it's solved

Q - Does this firmware allow the Nokia 5800/5530 to be charged through the USB?
A - No, the Nokia 5800/5530 does not have the physical hardware for it

Q - Why can't I find my language for this firmware
A - Nokia has not released all languages for C6-00. Plus, Asian Pacific languages are to be ported later by members since actual FW don't have enough space to include appropriate fonts

Q - Are the rotation effects and theme effects included?
A - The rotation effects are not included but there are theme effects in the firmware

Q - Does my old HS such as : Tsunami Orange,Contacts bar...etc still exist when i flash this FW to my 5800?
A - No, the C6 firmware only consists of one homescreen (widgets) and no other will be avaliable at the moment

Q - Can we customize the homescreens and will it show the updates of facebook on homescreen??
A - Yes you will just like the original C6

Q - What is the speed test from Speedy Go report?
A - Speedy Go has shown the phone to be running at 508 score

Q - Will this firmware work for phones such as Nokia 5230 etc...?
A - This firmware will only work for Nokia 5800/5530 at the moment

Q - Will we be able to flash back to original firmware after flashing with c6 firmware?
A - Yes u will be able to flash back as long as you flash to the same firmware number of our release or upgrade

Q - I had V40/V50 on my 5800 what happens after flashing with C6 CFW? Will i be able to revert to 5800 v40/V50?
A - No, or you will downgrade! C6 has been ported to 5800 V51. You can reinstall V51 or upgrade to another version if available. Same applies for 5530 phones

Q - I have 5800 RM-427/RM-428. Will this FW work on my phone?
A - No. This release is only for 5800 RM-356

Q - Why only English is installed in this FW?
A - We decided to release this FW with English only and supply language packs because we are limited in space and we cannot put all. Language packs are easy to integrate using the new NFE

Q - How can i add a new language to C6 CFW?
A - You need to use NFE 0.2 to import the supplied language file. More details will be given after release

Q - Can you please release C6 with preinstalled Lang (ex: italian?)
A - No and never expect that to happen. New languages must be cooked by yourself or another modder. We cannot cook and release tens of FWs

Q - Can i delete the other languages?
A - There is only English in the FW that we will release, so nothing to delete.

Q - Does this FW come pre-Hacked?
A - What do you think? Sure it will be

Does the keyboard auto switch from any keyboard to Full QWERTY when you rotating phone landscape like in 5800 XM?
A - No. C6/N97 don't even originally have a Qwerty keyboard so this kind of behavior isn't coded in it's libraries.

STEP1
Download Your Favourite Brushing pack from here
Keep it safe In Your Pc

STEP 2

Download all the below 7 Files
File one
File Two
File Three
File Four
File Five
File six
File Seven
All the links supports download managers.

Save a hard copy of these somewere..!
then make a working copy on to your pc.

STEP 3

the pack you downloaded in step 1 might contain 3 files...
those files may have a diff name...than those files we downloaded in step 2
for example::
the rofs 3 file might be in the name Rblt-RM-356_50.0.005_C01_prd.rofs3.fpsx in files downloaded in step 1 where as the right name in the files downloaded in step 3 may b ..RM-356_50.0.005_C01_prd.rofs3.fpsx

So our job is to rename the files in step 1 .. to bear the names of corressponding files in step 3
make sure all files name strt with rm-356

STEP 4

After u have successfully renamed all custom files downloaded in step 1.. delete these original files wcich you have in your working copy on your pc... as per step 3., then paste the custom files we renamed to the same working copy..!
so that now you have successfully renamed the custom files downloaded and replaced it with the original files we downloaded in step 2
so thats it your working copy can be used to flash with jaf.

STEP 5
Now launch JAF and set options like in picture below:

Notes:
Go to the BB5 tab and
Disable crt 308
Disable Normal Mode
Select Manual flash & Dead Usb

STEP 6
Now select your phone

Notes:
Like in the first image select Use INI and you will be prompted to select your phone as shown in the second image.

STEP 7

Now Keep Your eye locked in the jaf log..
Find the location were jaf is searching for your firmwire files.
See the picture below.

I have marked in red the location jaf is searching for my firmwire files.
so your firmwire files we made ready as in step 2 has to be pasted to the location were jaf is searching your firmwire files.
If such a location doesnt exist, create it manually.
once you have copied the working files.. to appropriate location
click on the options use Ini and select your phone model when prompted, now the jaf will load your firmwire files , as shown in the below pic.

Now TURN OFF your phone !! and then click FLASH button after that press power button (don't hold it) on your phone and JAF will start flashing.
Wait till Jaf Finishes Flashing
Restart your phone..and the continue to next step.

STEP 8

To begin with u need a file explorer like xplore or y browser installed
copy files from here to "E:\Patches" and run RP+, select "Install Server RP+" and "Open4All RP+" add them to auto and your phone is HACKED !!!!!!!!

Notes:

1)Make sure you have selected the correct phone model in Jaf

2)while in 4th step make sure u press the power button just for a second to trigger flashing,dont keep the power button pressed for so long.!

3) Make sure you dont get stuck in a power failure while doing flashing.
4)make sure you back up your contacts,msgs etc before you proceed with flashing.

Almost everyone here is interested in homescreen modding as it represents the way our fone gets the first impression from others. This thread is brought to introduce all about homescreen modding to our community. Every bit of it..

Homescreens so far our people having will be based on two firmware versions, the v31 and v40. This is important as some patches and mods dont work one one version of the above two ones.

I WILL BE CONSIDERING YOUR PHONE AS HACKED, SO PLEASE WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS ONLY IF ITS HACKED AS MAJORITY OF THE STUFFS WORK ONLY IF ITS SO. ONLY A FEW APPS WORK ON UNHACKED CELL. NO PATCHES WILL WORK.

The stuffs available for homescreen modding are:-

First Our basic homescreen modding.
The basic homescreen can be modded to show/hide the clock and profile and shrink that area.. This works on v31 and v40 alike. But after installation, if you change your homescreen theme, it will reset to default and show clock as normal. The download file will have a self installer. Set the shortcuts or any homescreen you need you need and restart the phone. If it doesnt change anything, you will need to delete the cre file from private\10202BE9\persists Once you change the homescreen theme, you need to reinstall it again.

Second, landscaping of homescreen.
This is still not a perfect mod, as it sometimes with the wrong combination of themes looks more like a mess. I wouldn't prefer this mod, but those who need it can try. Install and restart. To remove it, delete the same txt file from C:\Private\10202BE9\ as well as the cre file from C:\Private\10202BE9\persists

3 Extra shortcuts on homescreen
If you are using the built in homescreen themes, installing this will give you 3 extra shortcuts on the bottom along with the 2 blank buttons. Use Smartworkspace or 6 or 8 shortcut homescreens along with this to avoid the blank buttons. Works only on v40. It looks like the above shot except that only the lower part of the screen will be similar.

These are the basic stuffs without any decrease in ram or usage of extra elements. From the next we'll be bringing new elements and resources to mod the screen.

SPB shell
This is a cool single and standalone app which changes the whole look of your fone without much effort, but there are many drawbacks with this apps. The loading time for the app after a reboot is very long and is quite annoying, and hogs a lot of ram, cpu and network too. Also this is just an app, not a true homescreen. Try and see. Will work only on hacked phones I guess.

Gdesk
Gdesk is very similar to SPB shell, but its totally skinnable and designable if you have a bit photoshop skills. Again it has the above drawbacks that it is very very buggy and unstable. SPB shell is a bit better than this. Install all plugins after installing Gdesk to show all features. Lots of themes are available around, just google for them. Some are N97, HTC.

Epocware Handyshell
This is also an app which overlays the desktop like the above two, but is not customizable as like them. You get a very options like to select shortcuts, thats all.. But its very stable, but still, not a perfect homescreen.

Smartworkspace
This is cool for everyone who like lots and lots of shortcuts everywhere. Fully customisable shortcuts bars of various size and lengths make it cool. The drawbacks are that, its irresponsive when touched.. The app opens, thats all.. It eats ram like hell, so dont keep more than 3 bars running. A big drawback is that, it clips the wallpaper behind it from another part of the screen, so makes a mess for vivid wallpapers. using solid colours is the only way out.

This doesnt need the phone to be hacked, but sometimes needs Python and its runtimes.

Extract SW_clone to get around 10 sis files with name SW, SW1, SW2... etc.. Each SW file is used to obtain one bar of shorcuts on the screen. So If you need 4 bars of shortcuts, you need to install SW, SW1, SW2, SW3. Install them to E:\ i.e, memory card, not to c: Then you will get the corresponding icon in the applications folder. By default, each will have a few shorcuts with messed icons, you can run any one and see how it looks like.
Now to edit the shortcuts and their placement on the screen, we need to edit its configuration file for each SW bar. Edit and perfect each sW bar before adding more bars to the screens and getting confused. The config file is placed in E:\System\Apps\Smartworkspace with names SW.ini and so on. Open the first one in Xplore or on a PC and edit it. A basic config file will look like this.

Editing the Applications shown is done by replacing the above shown UID's with the App's UID which you need to appear. A list of around 200 apps and UID's can be found here in this file.

So if you need just 3 shortcuts and they are xplore, calculator and calender, you have to write the code like this by referring from the UID file.

The UID order decides the icons order on the bar. Now to decide, how the bar looks like and where to appear.
The location of placement is decided by the 'PortraitPosition' when phone is vertical and if you have landscape enabled using the second mod I explained, then, when phone goes to landscape, the 'LandscapePostiton' goes into action. If you dont have landscape mod, then forget that line. We can define the position in two ways:- manually by exact co-rdinates of pixels and by preset position keywords. The Preset position keywords are:

OnCBA - horizontal bar on Telephone and Contacts buttons
AboveCBA - horizontal bar above Telephone and Contacts buttons
RightVertical - the vertical bar on the right
LeftVertical - the vertical bar on the left

So if you want the bar to show over your contacts and dialler buttons, replace the line in the ini file with this.

PortraitPosition = AboveCBA
LandscapePosition = AboveCBA

To manually define the position, we use this line
PortraitPosition = Rect(x1, y1, x2, y2)

check the following diagram for reference position.

Define the same axis co-ordinates according to the number of icons you use. If you use just 2 icons anf give x1=0 and x2= 360, you will have widely spaced icons.. Also if you increase the y axis co-ordinates, then the icons will become bigger. You decide how it looks like. It is ideal to assume 60 pixels for each icon. So if you have 3 shorcuts, give, 60x3=180 pixels, if you dont want it to go wide. Dont use more than 6 icons on the x axis, or it will go very small and make it unclickable. The extreme values for x1=0 x2=360 y1=0 y2=640 for PortraitPosition and x1=0 x2=640 y1=0 y2=360 for LandscapePosition. Make sure your vaues are within it, or you will not see your bar anywhere !!!

To enable Autostart of the bars on reboot, use the last line "Autostart = Enable" to disable as you like.
Save the file and restart the SW file after exiting.

Mojoweather
This is one among the coooooooolest widgets for s60v5. Its actually a weather app, but we'll use it as a HTC styled 24hr dragable widget clock on our homescreen.. I tested it and works uber cool and is extremely stable. Needs very less RAm and is very eye catchy.. I would reccommend this to everyone over here... Im running since 2 weeks for now and planning to go some time with this... The only drawabck is that its in chineese, but dont worry, 12 o clock is 12 o clock in chineese too, u just need to follow my instructions on how to enable the features, no need to know chineese.

Install the app from here. Its the modified and cracked version. Run it and click the left soft buttons to accept the app and you will reach a bluescreen with lots of boxes. This is the main app. Now press the left button > 5th > 2nd > 4th option then, exit the application and go back to the HS. Now you will have the clock. The last 4th option will not show any change, just click on it simply and exit the app.

To move the clock, simply hold your finger on the clock for 2 secs, then a white translucent window will appear and you can drag the widget around without lifting your finger. Once you have set the locations, do the same aboce procedure to lock it. If its not dragable, do the same above procedure to make it dragable, then move it, then lock it. Its a very very cool app.

Ported Homescreens Include Orange homescreen and vodaphone homescreen which are supllied normally with only their respective network locked phones, but modders have ported it for use on our phones too. Get it as a pack from here.

This was my previous best homescreen apart from mojoweather. I modded it to my level best, but still most important parts of it are locked from editing and noone has been able to edit it more than what it is now. As far as I know, it needs a hacked fone. Extremely stable than the original Nokia homescreen with kinetic scrolling and multiple app shortcuts.

Many players have this feature including LCG Jukebox and TTPod, but TTpod always gives problems as it needs the chineese packs. Better try LCG Jukebox, enable draw on homescreen in options and switch to homescreen using taskmanager... Its cool and dragable...
