A very good idea,so I don't have to find or choose which Tshirt my baby will wear at school!(thanks Ikea)

And a bunting made with lovely pics!

Kingly Court simply inspirational.

2012-02-29T17:50:00.001-08:00

On monday after 4 full, long, boring days(thanks to conjunctivitis) we went out and jump on the train to central london.
The main reason wasn't just to go out also I wanted desperately find a dress for my brother's wedding in May,where I will be for the very first time MAID OF HONOR!!!
(can you feel that I'm excited?!?)

So we went in Oxford St.and after 2 hours and a very unhappy child, I had found nothing!!!!
So I thought to go to kingly Court in Carnaby street, that is so ispirational because full of vintage shops(even a bridal one).
For me it's a magical place...my favourite shop is on the 2° floor Carry Me Home
an unique child gift shop that I love a lot.
Also because the first time I went there I a bit sad,it happened before I become a mum,was kind of sad and thought "I will probably never have a child"(for various problems) a month later I discovered I was pregnant :)
Another shop that I liked was Think British, where you can rent a shelve from 21£ a week and sell your arts.
It's there that I came to know about Bioplastic made form food.
Because I'm trying to go greener..I will do my experiments next week and let you know!

Time to bake...finally

2012-02-29T16:22:00.001-08:00

Thanks to the help of my little fox( the name of his group in the nursery) I baked last weekend!!

2 beautiful heart shape chocolate muffins with buttercream frosting.

I used the porcellain pink heart form IKEA,and the frostings recipe was from  a blog. I was truly happy for the frosting, simply because finally it was the consistensy I wanted.

It is really lovely to bake with your own children, they just love it. I recommend to you all.

Making and Mollie Makes Magazine

2012-02-19T16:39:00.002-08:00

I just discovered in the supermarket two great magazines, full of ispirations for my little ideas.

Making and Mollie Makes

The are both lovely made ( I love even the type of paper they use ) and feature beautiful pictures.

I found useful to read about other talents stories, because even if I just started these stories help me  to believe that the love for sewing, crafting and cooking can led to a proper profession.

Since I stepped in my friend Elizabeth workshop at her house last december, I felt the urge to create.

It's like a all new word opened in front of my eyes, I felt like a new life inside of me, a beautiful sensation.

I don't know yet if it will make a living but what I know is that I enjoy so much and if I can call it "work" it will be a dream came true.

Next saturday there is another Top Sales in a church not far from my house,I'm so exited!

I got so many things that I want to make, let's hope that I will have the time :-)

Butternut Squash Soup yummy yummy in my tummy :-)

2012-02-19T16:02:00.000-08:00

Here we are...I made my first bird with fabric but it came out awful!! So disappointed, but I don't give up easily and I will give another go tomorrow.

Today I had a great dinner with my fav soup of all times...Butternut squash with Irish bread so yummy!

Here is the recipe:

2 Tablespoon olive oil

1 Medium onion

1 Medium butternut squash

1 Medium potato

4/6 Cups of vegetable broth

Sea salt, ground pepper to taste.

Heat the olive oil in a large soup pot. Add onion and potato. Cook until the potato begun to soften and the onion turns translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.

Add the butternut squash. Stir to combine with  the vegetables, stir in the vegetable broth and season with sea salt and pepper.

Bring to boil, reduce the heat and shimmer until the butternut is fork-tender,about 15-25 minutes.

Use an immersion blender to puree the soup. Alternatively let the soup cool and use a traditional blender.

I use my Thermomix( Bimby ) and I love it because it's pratical, easy and quick.

I don't have to use a blender and a pan because Thermomix do it all in one! Best product ever together  with my beautiful MacBook :-)

Buona notte a tutti!

Search mode on!

2012-02-05T16:08:00.000-08:00

Felice notte a tutti seppur pochi!

The Bargain Sale at the Parkside Nursery

2012-02-02T03:08:00.000-08:00

A presto.

The only way is...Vintage.

2012-01-31T19:15:00.000-08:00

Maybe!!!

Dolci e dolcetti...che passione!
