The irresponsible comments by a senior Congress leader like Digvijay Singh who termed Bengali Hindus fleeing from East Bengal as "Foreigner" has hurt the feelings of millions of those traumatized souls fleeing communal persecution in that land after partition.

Bengali Hindus who were at the forefront of the Indian freedom struggle deserve some respect not scorn by the oldest political party of India.

While Bengalis of West Bengal found time and energy to remember the events of 21 February 1951 most intellectuall Bengalis don't even now that ethnic Bengali Hindus were killed in the Indian state of Assam for demanding to read and write in their mother tongue while the Assam government was trying to impose Assamese on the people of Barak valley.

On 19 May 1961, Assam Police opened fire on unarmed protesters at Silchar Railway
Station in which 11 agitators died.

Kolkata: West Bengal on Monday observed 'Language Martyrs' Day' paying homage to those who laid down their lives for the cause of the Bengali language in Dhaka in 1952.
The day is now celebrated as International Mother Language Day the world over.

The day began with 'prabhat pheri' (morning choir) as employees of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission went round the Park circus area singing 'Amar Bhaiyer Rakte Ranga Ekushe February, aami ki bhulite pari' (How can I forget February 21, it is soaked in the blood of my brethren), that was composed in memory of the martyrs of the language movement.

A replica of the Shaheed Minar in Bangladesh was also set up inside the Deputy High Commission, while leading painters from both India and Bangladesh took part in an art camp. Among the painters from Bangladesh were Sahabuddin, Hashem Khan and Kalidas Karmakar. Samir Aich and Bijon Chowdhury were among the local artistes.

Programmes were held in the rest of the city to commemorate the day. Local television channels and FM radio stations aired special programmes on the occasion.

At a gathering in College Square in central Kolkata, intellectuals called for efforts to protect the Bengali language.

'Language is the basis of the society. Literature and culture depend upon language. For a developed society we must strive to protect our mother tongue. Sadly enough Bengali as a language is on the decline. We must do something to protect our beloved mother tongue,' said poet Tarun Sanyal.

In 1948, Pakistan declared that only Urdu would be the official language for both West and East Pakistan. The people of East Pakistan now Bangladesh whose main language is Bengali, protested against the declaration.

On Feb 21, 1952, students and political activists took out a procession protesting against Urdu being made the official language. The police opened fire killing several protesters. This lead to the protest spreading over all of East Pakistan which finally lead the Pakistan government relent and give equal status to Bengali.

Since then the day is celebrated as the 'Language Martyrs' Day'.

In 1999 the UNESCO declared Feb 21 as International Mother Language Day, a day intended to promote free language choice everywhere in the world.

Dibrugarh, Dec. 2: The All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation today burnt effigies of Tinsukia Congress MLA Rajendra Prasad Singh across Assam alleging police inaction after the MLA physically assaulted one of its members, Ratan Dey, in front of the Tinsukia district Congress committee office on Monday.

Activists of the federation also received support of various political parties and non-political organisations during their demonstration today.

Apart from beating up 35-year-old Dey, who is an executive member of the Tinsukia district committee of the federation, the MLA’s alleged anti-Bengali remarks while beating up Dey has also sparked strong reaction from the organisation.

In Tinsukia, around 1,000 activists of the federation and members of various organisations like the All Assam Students Union, All Assam Moran Students Union, Muttock Jatiya Parishad, BJP, AGP, CPI(M-L), Hindu Yuba Parishad among others, assembled at the busy Thana Charali area and burnt the effigy of the MLA.

The federation members also displayed placards, banners and festoons against the MLA during the demonstration.

Mrinmoy Das, president of the Tinsukia district unit of the federation, said over telephone that today’s demonstration was only the beginning of a long and rigorous agitation. “We will observe Friday as a black day, and all our members will wear black badges to protest police inaction in arresting the notorious and guilty MLA. On December 6, we will stage a dharna in front of the Tinsukia deputy commissioner’s office and from December 7, we will start a massive wall-writing campaign against the misdeeds of the MLA,” Das said.

In Dibrugarh too, activists of the federation burnt the effigy of the MLA near the Marwaripatty police point area.

Tinsukia superintendent of police Diganta Bora denied the charges of police inaction in the case. Speaking over telephone, Bora said, “we are recording statements of various persons who witnessed the incident on Monday. The police are doing their job properly.”

Anil Raja, a senior Assam PCC leader, said in Guwahati this evening that the state unit president, Bhubaneswar Kalita, has sought a report on the incident from the district president Numal Borah.

Her arguments in favour of Kashmiri Azadi, her views on Naxalism plaguing large parts of India,her campaign against the Narmada Dam project have demonstrated her ability to swim against the tide. Whatever one may say, Arundhati Roy has been able to solidly back up her stand by her writings and views. The government of India had often found itself lost in words to reply to her powerful writings and instead threathened her with arrest. Violence Mars Durga Puja Festivities in Bangladesh

There have been many instances of drunken mobs and even policeman vandalizing and attacking Puja Mandaps and devotees across East Bengal (in present day Bangladesh). No one will say a single word about these attacks-neither the media nor any Bengali politicians. In another murderous attack, atleast 200 homes are razed to the ground in the Indian enclave of Garati.

They are crossing the border illegally and violently displacing the indigenous population whose homes and possessions they either destroy or occupy. They are attacking the young, the elderly, and especially the girls and women, whom they kidnap, forcibly convert, or traffic into brothels. The locals are terrified of them. The police rarely come to their aid, nor do the politically correct media or government. Both are terrified by the criminals and terrorists who are riding these immigrant waves.

I am not talking about illegal immigrants to Europe or North America. I am describing Muslims who are penetrating India’s West Bengal region. These Bangladeshi immigrants are becoming conduits for criminal activities (arms, drugs, and sexual slavery) which also fund global jihad.

You won’t read about this in the Western mainstream media—or even in the Indian media, which has turned a blind eye to this ongoing tragedy because they are afraid to be labeled “politically incorrect” or “Islamophobic.” They are also afraid of reprisals. When Islamic zealots ransacked the office of the renowned newspaper, ‘The Statesman’ in Kolkata, in retaliation for a mere reproduction of an article condemning Islamic extremism, the Indian press remained silent. The editor and publisher of the newspaper were arrested for offending Muslim sentiments and no action was taken against the rioters.

Fortunately, there are a few very brave Hindus who are taking a stand against the Muslim terror campaign in India. One of them is Tapan Ghosh, whom I had the privilege of meeting recently when he came to New York City to talk about anti-Hindu persecution in his homeland. In 2008, Ghosh founded “Hindu Samhati” (Hindu Solidarity Movement), which serves persecuted Hindu communities in both West Bengal and Bangladesh.

As Ghosh emphasized in our interview, the Muslim persecution of Hindus in India is nothing new. Over a period of 800 years, millions of Hindus were slaughtered by Muslims as infidels or converted by the sword. In 1946-1947, when British India was divided into India and Pakistan, Muslims massacred many thousands of Hindus in Calcutta, the capital of West Bengal, and all along the fault line which separated India and Pakistan. Anti-Hindu riots and massacres continued during the 1950s and 1960s, but it was in 1971, when East Pakistan broke away to form the country of Bangladesh, that things worsened for Hindus in the area.
As Ghosh explained to me, “The liberation movement for Bangladesh was characterized by an escalation of atrocities against the Hindus and pro-liberation Muslims. Hindus were specifically singled out because they were considered a hindrance to the Islamisation of East Pakistan. In March 1971, the government of Pakistan and its supporters in Bangladesh launched a violent operation, codenamed “Operation Searchlight,” to crush all pro-liberation activities. Bangladeshi government figures put the death toll at 300,000, though nearly 3 million Hindus were never accounted for and are presumed dead.” U.S. officials in both India and Washington used the word “genocide” to describe what took place.

According to Ghosh, there has recently been a sharp increase in incidents of “Muslim rioting during Hindu festivals, destruction of Temples, desecration of Deities, and large-scale, provocative cow slaughter.” Worse: “Hundreds, thousands, of Hindu girls have been kidnapped, trafficked into sexual slavery, or taken as second or third wives for wealthy Muslim men. In recent years, Ghosh’s organization has rescued nearly 100 such girls, and one of his main missions has been to help reintegrate those survivors into their families and societies.

Ghosh wants the Indian government to stop the illegal immigration from Bangladesh and to force the return of undocumented Muslims; to ban madrassas and polygamy; to enforce a single standard of law and education; and to arrest and prosecute known Muslim mafia kingpins and terrorists. He challenges the media to report on the anti-Hindu atrocities and to address the issue of religious apartheid.

Ghosh is not optimistic. “The establishment of massive Saudi-funded Madrasas across rural Bengal is only contributing to the growing religious extremism among Muslims, [and] implementation of Sharia laws by [Islamic] courts is quite prevalent in many villages.” His greatest fear, he tells me, is that one day shouts of “Allahu Akbar” will ring out across the land and that Muslim zealots will demand that Hindus either convert or leave West Bangal—or die.

Ghosh came to America not just to appeal to Indian-Americans with family and historical ties in West Bengal and Bangladesh but to appeal to all Americans for their support. As he sees it, the battle against Muslim persecution in India is just one front in a much larger battle against Islamic expansionism and terror throughout the world.

All Americans must realize, he told me, “that the war on Islamic terrorism cannot be won without curbing religious extremism amongst the Muslim masses, be it in the suburbs of Detroit or Delhi or villages in rural Bengal. And this will require the active support and cooperation with each other, ranging from cooperation at the highest level to those who work at the grassroots level. We hope that Americans and Westerners will come out and support the Hindus in Bengal in raising resources and creating awareness about our on-the-ground realities.”

Muslims Vandalise Hindu Temples at Deganga,West Bengal

September 6, 2010 : Today evening after Iftar, Muslims assembled in the Deganga Mosque and proceeded to a number of Hindu areas, looted and ransacked many Hindu shops and Hindu temples, severely beaten up many Hindus, torched 4 public buses. The life of the whole stretch from Berachapa to Kadamgachi has been frozen.

Shani Temple of Kartickpur and Kali Temple of Deganga Biplabi Colony desecrated and ransacked by the rioting Muslims.

Arup Ghosh, Officer in Charge of Deganga police station is seriously injured by the rampaging Muslims. His head and hand have been fractured. Several other policemen also injured. Police had to fire to control the Muslim mob, but with no effect.

Today at 11 am, the dispute started when some fanatic Muslims started to dig the passage of a Durga Temple in Chattal Pally village which is situated just beside the Deganga Police Station. This Durga Temple is at least 25 year old. In past, Muslims tried many times to stop the Durgapuja. Hindus resisted their ill effort. This Chattal Pally and Deganga P.S. come under the district of North 24 Parganas, and its Parliamentary constituency is Basirhat. In 2009 election, Hazi Nurul Islam of T.M.C. won this constituency defeating long time Communist M.P. Ajay Chakraborty (C.P.I). After this change of power, Hindus of the whole area are facing all types of threat, humiliation, torture and their religious practices are in danger.

When Hindus objected the digging of the Temple passage, Muslims gathered there in large number and started mayhem. Hindus informed the police. Police came and they had to face the jihadi enthusiasm of the Muslims. Officer in Charge injured at that time. Then Muslims threatened that now Roja is going on. After the end of Roja and taking Iftar, they will teach stern lesson to the Hindus. So, after afternoon, Hindus dared not to open their shops on the stretch between Berachapa to Kadamgachhi on the Barasat – Basirhat Road. By this time, large contingent of police and RAF took position. Defying their presence, Muslims gathered in large number in the Deganga Mosque and started looting and destroying the Hindu shops, not in Chattal Pally, but in the big markets of Beliaghata, Deganga and Kartickpur. A big shop of Anil Bangal, a Hindu, has been looted fully among many other shops. Anil Bangal has been seriously injured. More than 25 people have been injured.

Latest position is that Police is not allowing the Hindus to come out of their homes so that they can enquire the damage done by the Muslims and Muslims are roaming freely in front of police force. Overall situation has been worsened. It is alleged that Maqbur Rehman, Mintu Sahaji led the Muslim rioters. It is also alleged that one TMC Hindu leader Ms. Ratna Chowdhury is trying to pressurize police not to take strong steps to stop the Muslim rampaging mob. The new TMC M.P. Hazi Nurul Islam allegedly influenced the police to remain inactive.

The Muslims are majority in number in the Deganga Block as well as in Basirhat Sub division of North 24 Parganas district. According to 2001 Census report, Muslims were 69.51 percent in Deganga Block. Naturally after nine years, their percentage increased a lot and Hindus in that Block are living a life almost like Pakistan. This North 24 Parganas district, is the largest border district where the highest number of Hindu refugees took shelter after being persecuted in erstwhile East Pakistan and present Bangladesh. In spite of that, the eight Blocks among total 29 of this districts became Muslim majority blocks in 2001 census.

Today’s violence in Deganga has been reported only in the NE Bangla channel of electronic media of West Bengal. All other channels including Star Anand, as always they do, are mum and suppressing the misdeeds of the fanatic Muslims.

The mob mentality of Bengalis is legendary. A Bengalis is a hero while in a mob and becomes a zero rat while alone.

This is aptly shown when a mob beat to death a retired Armyman just because he had slapped a woman.

I have many times seen this mentality at full blow. Bengalis beating their own people mercilessly just because he might have stolen a chicken or a goat. On atleast on one occassion, I was got hit in the melee as I tried to save a suspected thief; barely out of his teens. The Bengali knows that he is a nobody when alone but becomes Champion of all Martial Arts when a mob gives him that elusive opportunity. But the same Bengali would be like a Bheegi Bhilli when confronted alone.

This is the mentality ingrained into us but there are people who live like tigers no matter if they are alone or in mob. Believe me I envy the Mehsuds and Wazirs of Waziristan in Pakistan.I would have far proud if our society was having as militarised pyshe like those people than have tons and tons of literature and rubbish Bengali Romanticism.

This decision is a direct affront to ISLAM because Islam does not recognize castes and classes.It is only in Hinduism where there are castes---and hence some castes are called OTHER BACKWARD CASTES. OBC are those people who might not at the bottom of the Hindu Caste system but have fallen back on social and economic parameters.

The Love for Muslims by the Gentry of West Bengal belittles the pain of millions of Bengali Hindus who were forced out of their homes and hearths and live in wretched conditions more than half a century later.

The entire social fabric of Bengalis of erstwhile East Bengal is in tatters and no Bhadrolok from West Bengal has ever raised a concern. No Researcher has find it a subject worthy of research. The Krygyztan violence made me Jittery

As the world prepared for the Football World Cup 2010 to begin in South Africa, deadly ethnic riots erupted in the Central Asian Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Entire Uzbek neighbourhoods in the southern cities of OSH and JALALABAD were burned and Uzbeks were killed in their thousands.

Many UZBEKS allege that the riots were in fact a GENOCIDE.The Indian media almost completely ignored these tragic events.

I watched in horror videos of the violence; burning neighbourhoods, mutilated bodies, armed gangs on the prowl searching for the “OTHER PEOPLE”.

Kyrgyzstan is a cauldron of different ethnicities, nearly 80 of them. Krygyz and Uzbeks are the two top ethnicities. Both are TURKIC people, MUSLIMS; speak a language that is comprehensible by both of them. The main difference is that while KRYGYZ lived a nomadic life until very recently UZBEKS lived a settled life(mainly as farmers and traders) since long. UZBEKS dominate southern KRYGYZTAN and are affluent than their KRYGYZ neighbours. UZBEKS own the city centers of both OSH and JALALABAD.

It is said that the spark for the ethnic clashes begin after UZBEKS and KRYGZ youths fought in a casino but the violence after that was premeditated. UZBEKS alleged that KRYGYZ soldiers took part in the attacks, armoured personnel carriers were used to spray gunfire on UZBEK neighborhoods and after that KRYGZ mobs attacked them.

Hundreds of thousands of UZBEKS became refugees, and fled towards UZBEKISTAN. The refugee population almost entirely consisted of women, children and the elderly. Military age males stayed put and defended their homes and hearths.

Those images conjured up the plight of ours. PARTITION RIOTS-and the resultant displacement of millions of BENGALI HINDUS from the ancestral homeland.

For many days during the mayhem, I had a nightmare of being caught up just like the UZBEKS. IT IS NOT VERY IMPOSSIBLE THING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE.

As in Kyrgyzstan, there was collusion between the rioters and some aspects of the administration. I AM AFRAID, I KNOW THAT THIS THING CAN HAPPEN. ME,MY FAMILY, MY ENTIRE NEIGHBOURHOOD under attack from renegade police forces; spraying us with automatic gunfire and then hacking us. IT WOULD BARELY TAKE 30 MINUTES for such a thing to happen and then everything will be normal again. Bengalis are always good at forgetting their own tragedy because they are too preoccupied about the sufferings of others.

UZBEKS are not a race that would surrender meekly; in many places UZBEKS youths bravely defended their neighborhoods. What was most appalling was that the international community just watched from the sidelines. Because when time comes, you have to defend yourself.

In today's volatile world, you should always be prepared to defend yourself because when the other people hits you, people prefer to watch from the sidelines.

Bengali Tiger Force Militants Killed in Assam

Mangaldoi, March 2: Four suspected militants of Bengali Tiger Force were shot dead in an encounter with security forces in Darrang district last night.

The slain rebels, who are yet to be identified, were gunned down around 11.30pm at Chereng Chapori, nearly 4km from here, in a joint operation by troops of the army’s 65 Field Regiment and Darrang police.

Darrang additional superintendent of police Susanta Biswa Sarma said after receiving information about the movement of a seven-member group of militants at the chapori, a joint team of the army and police launched the cordon-and-search operation.

On being confronted by security personnel, the militants opened fire and tried to flee. As the security forces fired back, four of the militants died while the rest escaped in the dark.

Three 7.65 bore revolvers, a 9mm pistol, three hand grenades, two magazines of a 9mm pistol, 14 rounds of ammunition and some incriminating documents were found on them. All the bodies have been sent to Mangaldoi Civil Hospital for autopsy. This is the first major incident involving Bengali Tiger Force rebels in the state after a majority of their cadres laid down arms in 2006.

The outfit was raised in 1996 to defend Bengali settlers in Bodo-dominated areas.

Gopeswar Das, a resident of Chereng Chapori, said the slain rebels do not hail from that area and he had not seen them earlier. “Last night I heard gunshots but did not dare to come out of my house. It was only this morning that I came to know four militants were killed in the encounter,” Das said.

Petition UN to acknowledge Bengali GENOCIDE instead of Bengali language

So Bengali is to become the seventh official language of the UN. The proposal was put forth by East and then seconded by west Bengal.

It is said the Bengali has 250 million speakers (1 million=10 Lacs) of which 66% is Muslim speakers of Bengali and that leaves a mere 82.5 million speakers who are Hindu Bengalis. And it is only Hindu Bengalis who have created the most beautiful prose and poetry in Bengali. And it was Hindu Bengalis who fought bitterly for independence from the British Raj and in the catastrophe of those nine month of 1971 2.5 million Bengali Hindus perished.

Muslims have made almost negligible contribution towards enrichment of Bengali language.

It is really so disgusting to let the perpetrators of a terrible Genocide go scot-free and then shamelessly go to UNITED NATIONS and ask Bengali to be made a official language of the world body. Why cant' those leaders raise the issue of the Genocide instead on the podium of the UN? Bengali Hindu leaders of west Bengal lost no moment to second the proposal but no one remembers the Genocide of 1971.

Contrast this to the case of JOHN DEMJANJUK, who is wheel chair bound and still facing trial for the deaths of Jews in Nazi Concentration camps. The figure of Mr. Demjanjuk presents a very sorry state; he looks dejected and fragile but the world is in no mood to forgive him for crimes he committed in his youth.

And in the Khmer Rouge Genocide trial, COMRADE DUCH appears no better and begs for mercy and leniency on the grounds that he had fully co-operated with the tribunal and had been in jail since 1999.

I AM APOLOGISE FOR WHAT HAPPENED IN NAHARKATIA

On 19th December 2009, a clash between Bengalis and Assamese student activists erupted in Naharkatia, in Upper Assam's Dibrugarh District. The spark for the clash was the forcible collection of donations by Assam Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP) from petty Bengali traders in Naharkatia's daily bazar.

As the clash spread, Bengalis ransacked the office of Naharkatia AJYCP, apart from thrashing some activists present there. In the heat of this commotion , Bengalis raised anti-Assamese slogans and broke the statue of Kalaguru Bhisnu Prasad Rabha (a cultural icon of Assam).

This is very grossly erroneous on the part of the Bengalis. Ransacking the office and clashing with the activists is another thing and breaking Kalaguru's statue is a different thing altogether. After all the Bengalis here must remember that they are eating the rice from Assam's land and fish from its many rivers. Showing disrespect to Kalaguru means you are abusing Assam in all its entirety.

For that matter, I am profoundly sorry and beg forgiveness from ASSAM and all its people.

MULTA - A LOOMING THREAT!

Assam has a large Muslim population; nearly 40% out of a total of 26.5 million are Muslims. Atleast 8 districts out of a total of 27 Assam districts are Muslim majority.In another ten districts, the Muslim population is nearly half of the total district population. The bulk of the Muslim population of Assam is of East Bengali descent; though there are about 350000 Muslims who speak the Assamese language. Recently the line between Assamese and Bengali Muslims have become blurred with a lot of marital alliances between them. There are also Hindi and Urdu speaking Muslims here, but their numbers are not significant enough.

The Muslims are mainly concentrated in the Lower, Central and Southern Assam districts. Dhubri has more than 90% Muslims while Goalpara has more than 75% Muslim. Muslims have not been able to dig in the Upper and Eastern Districts of Assam. The Muslims of Bengali descent are mostly engaged in agriculture. The plains of Assam are quite fertile; and taking advantage of the Assamese reluctance to do hard manual labour, land hungry Muslims had been invading the fertile lands of Assam since British times.

Indigenous tribal communities of Assam are highly resentful of Muslim presence in their lands. In the mid-90’s, Bodo rebels targeted Muslims in an organised way to root them out from Bodo heartland. Hundreds were killed and many more were made homeless. After these riots, Muslim groups began arming and organizing themselves. There are quite a few of them, of which we often hear about MULTA (MUSLIM UNITED LIBERATION TIGERS OF ASSAM). There are often reports of MULTA cadres being arrested with arms and incriminating documents from various parts of Assam. This cat and mouse game is continuing for more than ten years now. MULTA is not banned; nobody knows what is aiming for. Those caught uptill now are all small fishes.

MULTA had been arming and organizing itself for so many years now without engaging in any major operation. It is worrisome. It certainly has backers in neighboring East Bengal and there it is safe from the Indian security agencies. MULTA certainly has close ties with HUJI (HARKAT UL JIHAD- A EAST BENGAL BASED JIHADI GROUP). HUJI's aims for talibanisation of EAST BENGAL.HUJI is blamed for many violent incidents in East Bengal and also proividing logistical support for subversive activities inside India, and its ideology is shared by many JIHADI organizations.

It is highly imperative to know about the aims and objectives of MULTA. Otherwise it might become too late when we see MULTA going on operational phase. Bengali Hindus living in Assam might have to bear the first onslaught when MULTA goes operational.

Bengali Romanticism

So what is Bengali Romanticism?

I have often heard this word – “Bengali Romanticism”. The Bengali Bhadrolok community prides itself for its idealism, its achievements in making arty movies, writing abstract poetry and dramas. The slow rhythmic steps of Rabindrasangeet makes Bengalis think that we are so lucky to have such pleasant things.

But is it so? Behind these façades, Bengalis had tactfully buried their own sorrows and woes of the previous century. A century that saw millions of Bengalis perishing in the artificial famine of 1943, the partition of 1947 which engulfed hundreds of thousands and displaced an estimated 20 million from their ancestral homeland. And then the GENOCIDE OF 1971 which saw 2.5 million Hindu Bengalis being mercilessly killed by the armed forces of Pakistan.

Why Bengalis who pride themselves of being able to produce the best novelists of India are not able to produce someone like Orhan Pamuk( Nobel Prize winner of Literature) ? We often see our leaders taking to the streets of Kolkatta when fighting erupts in distant West Asia. I myself witnessed one such rally which threw life out of gear in the suburbs of the Metro. Very few, if at all, knew who are Jews, how much persecution they had suffered, how they established their country with their blood.

It like people of a war torn African country demonstrating to stop war and atrocities in Balkans or Sri Lanka. And these are the foundations of “Bengali Romanticism”. Forget your own pain /sufferings and apply balm to some stranger in some distant land. And when our poets and novelists do these things, we clap our hands and applaud them.

Please stop these Romanticism- if at all you need to be Romantic produce some writer like Orhan Pamuk who writes about the Armenian Genocide rather than Bhang and Ganja. Or some film director who is able to document the catastrophe of 1971 Genocide. We do need them.

Bengali Hindus are Being Attacked in Assam

For second time in two months, deadly riots have broken out in Udalguri and Darrang Districts of Northern Assam. In both cases, Bengali Muslims had fired the first salvo. Reports indicate that a VILLAGE DEFENCE PARTY near Rowta (consisting of Bodo youths) was attacked when they gone to investigate an incident of Cattle theft in the area dominated by immigrants. The Bodo youths were brutally attacked and atleast one was taken away as a hostage. This was the trigger for the massive flare up-and soon Muslims and Bodos were killing and burning each other’s villages.

Television visuals show that Bodo women, girls and the infirm are shifting towards safer places and the menfolk have decided to stay put and fight back. Bodos are an indigenous tribal group of Assam. And as it happens, tribal groups are very protective about their identity and culture.

Village after village had turned desolate as warring groups clashed. Many deaths are from police firing.

There are reports of Pakistani flags being raised in some burnt Bodos villages. And the organized way in which the immigrants had attacked the non-Muslims (including Assamese and Bengali Hindus) indicate that they had been preparing for long. Bengali Hindus have definitely been affected in this riots.

The Muslim vote bank is a decisive factor in Assam; and as such political parties are wary of antagonizing them. And the caste Assamese are as much to blame themselves because they had made so many lacerations on the Hindu Bengali Psyche – that Hindu Bengalis are still wary of the Assamese.

If you are not prepared for your defence, these things are going to be repeated many times in future. In the times of DURGA PUJA, many of our brethern have been forced to spent their nights in relief camps. But I know, we will continue to be Bhadroloks.

Mamata Banerjee or Mamta Bano

Basically speaking, I don’t who is the aggrieved party in Singur. On one hand are farmers, most of whom had small land holdings, whereas on the other hand is the powerful TATA GROUP. It might be true that farmers had been forced to give their lands at throwaway prices to TATA. And I know that it is very emotional to be forced away from one’s ancestral.

So, I think I am not sufficiently equipped with facts to discuss the pros and cons of the Singur Project agitation.

But what shocked me profusely was a picture of Mamata Banerjee offering Namaaz prayers with her head covered just like a Muslim woman would do. She was offering Namaaz or pretended to so (I doubt if she knows Arabic/Persian) after breaking bread with Muslims as per Iftikar rituals on the first day Ramadan.

By her act, what Signals does she want to deliver? If she had done in private, then it would have no problem but since she is a leader and a Hindu Bengali, she should have avoided the Namaaz offering part.

But there has not been any murmur of protest from Bengalis. Why are Bengalis so considerate? Next I think a prominent Bengali leader will eat Beef in public and advocate its health benefits.

As on September of 2010, she was seen in a railway advertisement offering namaz. When had she converted to Islam?

Bengali Wanderlust is Acknowledged

Radovan Karadzic is now being tried at the HAGUE for allegedly committing war crimes during the BALKANS WAR. He had accused the media that they had pronounced him guilty, he had been squarely blamed for the killing of 8000 civilians after the fall of SERBENICA . He had also been blamed for killing civilians during the long siege of Sarajevo; basically it served no stragic purpose to continue with the seige for so long-the media says so.

In this efforts, the MOTHERS OF SERBENICA VICTIMS had played a key role.

Then why does the same happen for the GENOCIDE OF 1971. Justice for those Deaths of 1971.

Why does our BENGALI intellectuals, who take the causes of KASHMIRI MUSLIMS INSURGENTS AND GUJRATI MUSLIMS, not take the cudgels for bringing to justice to those who perpeterated untold suffering to the BENGALI HINDUS in EAST BENGAL.

Why hasnt' Angana gone to East Bengal and gathered evidence for the victims of the GENOCIDE OF 1971.

Somnath Chatterjee is Expelled by Party

After a long time, a Bengali showed that he has guts and listened to his inner voice, and that is Somnath Chatterjee who defied the Left in remaining as the speaker of the Indian Parliament. And after the No-Confidence Motion came a cropper, the Bengali dominated Left parties could not bear to see a real man in their midst and promptly expelled Mr. Chatterjee from the party.

I salute Mr. Somnath Chatterjee, the Bengali who was born in Tezpur, Assam; and pray that Bengalis learn from his fearlessly when convinced of their righteousness.
