Fun with the Kids this Summer: Regal Summer Movie Express

It’s back… one of our favorite things to do this summer is back. The Regal Summer Movie Express is here again, for a summer of fun. Participating Edwards, Regal, and UA theaters across So Cal will host movies ever Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10am for nine weeks. Admission is $1 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Will Rogers institute.

It’s an amazing program and very affordable. The showings tend to be very popular, and I would say you should plan on arriving there a little early to grab your seats.

Fun with the kids this summer: Kids Bowl Free!

I shared yesterday, that we’re going to be some fun free, or almost free, ideas to do with the kiddos this summer, and here is the first. Kids Bowl Free is one of the best summer programs for kids. The program, which is Free, allows kiddos to register, for two free bowling games a day, during summer. It’s super easy to register. Just head here to register.

Kids Bowl Free, also provides a family pass. The family pass allows adult family members to enjoy bowling throughout the summer as well. The family pass starts at $24.95 and allows up to 4 adult members to enjoy two games as well. It’s a great deal if you would like to join in on the fun!

Sesame Street Live: Can’t Stop Singing Giveaway and Promo Code

Our family loves Sesame Street. My husband and I grew up watching Sesame Street, and so have our children. I’m pretty sure I learned the alphabet and numbers, just by watching. It is an incredible show and our entire family is in love with all of the characters. Sesame Street Live! Can’t Stop Singing is coming to the Nokia Theatre on May 31st to June 2nd. The super fun show features your favorite Sesame Street Characters live on stage.

Sesame Street Live is a larger-than-life, musical touring stage production featuring Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie…and more. Each performance is 90 minutes of singing, dancing and audience participation, including a 15-minute intermission. The perfect length for very young children! It can be the perfect introducing for the itty bitty ones to live performances.

I love sharing about “Awesome” places and I had to share about a new family neighborhood opening in Valencia next Saturday. EPIC in Theaters May 24th and Giveaway!

We are movie junkies at home. My kiddos absolutely love animated movies and have already told me to mark May 24th on my calendar, because EPIC will be opening nationwide on that day.

EPIC tells the story of an ongoing battle between the forces of good, who keep the natural world alive, and the forces of evil, who wish to destroy it. It looks like a fun movie and the kiddos can’t stop talking about it. It was also produced by the creators of Ice Age and Rio. You know it has to be good!

Knott’s Soak City and Giveaway

Summer is right around the corner! I love the warm weather and being outdoors enjoying the warm weather. We are always on the hunt for things to do in Southern California with kids, and water parks are definitely on the top of our list in the summer!

One of our favorite water parks, Knott’s Soak City, opens it’s doors for the season on May 18th. Glow with The Show at Disneyland: Annual Passholder Viewing Event

Glow With the Show at Fantasmic!

We have annual passes, but because of busy schedules and some health issues, we haven’t been able to make it out as much as we like to Disneyland. I think we will definitely have to make it out this weekend and take part of Glow with The Show Fantasmic show for Disneyland Annual Pass Holders. If you have an annual pass, make sure to head out to the park this weekend, May 10th to 12th, and participate in Glow with The Show. The 10:30pm show will be reserved for Annual Pass Holders with Glow with the Show hats and wristbands. You can register for a wristband between 3:30pm and 8:15pm at the Main Street, U.S.A. Opera House (home to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln) in Disneyland Park.

I love Fantasmic. I think I love it more than I love World of Color. I love the dragon, the music and the atmosphere. I can’t wait to head over to Disneyland this weekend and hope you can make it too! Prime Viewing to Fantasmic is quite the treat and I don’t want to miss it!For additional info head here.

Volunteer Day and The TCM Movie Festival!

Helping Weed and clean up!

Last Saturday, we had the opportunity to take part in Volunteer Day! It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a very long time. We volunteered with the Verizon Fios crew and helped an elderly woman in Sun City, that could not keep up with her backyard. It was a whole heck of a lot of work, but extremely rewarding! I can’t wait to take part of such an amazing community experience. I’m very thankful to Verizon FiOS for allowing me to have access to such a rewarding experience.

My husband and I had quite the weekend. We were also able to attend the Turner Classic Movie Festival, thanks to acesss from FiosSocal. It was so much fun! My husband and I (my husband was able to partake all 3 days) were able to catch some of the best films that have ever been made, with introductions by people like Cher and Robert Osborn. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We are huge movie lovers and although it’s tough to get to the movies sometimes, because of cost, babysitters and time, we always find the time to catch a flick at home. We’ve made our won kind of movie fests on the weekends, thanks to our own at home movie theater. We subscribe to Verizon Fios, which we LOVE! They make it so easy to watch or purchase a movie. Just the other day my daughter wanted to watch Grease and we discovered that the copy we owned was scratched up. My daughter was very upset that her favorite movie was ruined. Thankfully FiOS came to the rescue! We were able to buy the digital copy of the movie for less than we would have paid at the store. Within minutes the movie was loaded and we were able to save our night!

We had such and incredible time and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for the FiOSSoCal team. They are heading to the beach cities the summer, and will be working with a new set of charities and will also be giving away some pretty cool customized Surfboards, Beach Cruisers, and a skateboard. National Public Gardens Day: Free Admission

This upcoming Sunday is Mother’s Day and my sisters and I, have been thinking about what we will be doing on this special day. My sisters, mother and I have a great little tradition. We pack up the kids and head somewhere to celebrate the special day. Last year we made a trek out to Monterey, and this year we plan to stay local.

We definitely plan on taking advantage of National Public Gardens Day. It’s the perfect way to kick off Mother’s Day weekend. National Public Gardens Day, takes place the Friday before Mother’s Day, which happens to be Mexican mothers day.
