Korg Kaossilator 2

At the 2012 NAMM Show, Korg introduced their new Kaossilator 2, a palm-sized synthesizer that is played via a Kaoss x/y touchpad. The little guy is filled with 150 sounds, including Synth Leads, Basses, Acoustic Instruments, Chorded Sounds, SE, Drum Kits and Rhythm Patterns.

The Kaossilator 2 combines PCM drums, modeling synthesis and two crossfade-able Loop Recorder banks. The Kaossilator 2′s Dual Loop Recording Banks can overdub your touchpad performances as many times as you like. By adding layer upon layer to a simple phrase, you can create complex loops and then save them using the microSD data slot.

“Boasting a powered-up sound generator, kaossilator 2 delivers synth and drum sounds spanning a wide range of genres, plus dramatically expanded loop recording. kaossialtor 2 is packed with capabilities that can be enjoyed alone on or together with other people. Use two loops to create DJ-like mixes. Use the internal mic to record guitar, vocal, or other audio source — just as with a looper effect. The Organic Electroluminescent (OEL) display provides superb visibility. Add to that a touch slider for ease of use, microSD card data saving, plus a built-in speaker and mic. All of these features reflect the enhancements incorporated into the sleek and exciting kaossialtor 2.”

The partnership between Converse and Missoni has yielded some very memorable footwear, namely the Chuck Taylors the two have produced. This time around, 2 different sneakers, the Pro Leather and Auckland Racer, have been worked on for the Autumn/Winter 2012 season by the famed brands. The Pro Leather continues to utilize Horween Chromexcel leather, which we have seen recently with a couple of hi versions of the shoe. The Auckland Racer turned out amazing with its complex blend of patterns and colors making it a must pick up when it drops in October of this year.

It looks like Barcelona retailer Trust Nobody received a full size run of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 early. Just a couple of weeks ago we announced a March 2012 release date, but the store says that they will be releasing the sneaker already on December 31st, 2011. We are not sure if something went wrong with a delivery or if this is simply not the real deal. We will keep you posted.

Imagine what it would be like to take a bath with a shark, to have a cactus that doesn’t sting or to laughingly reach into an alligator´s mouth. Pixel by pixel, you can create, let grow and have your dream come true. The puxxle makes everything possible.

The puxxle is born out of the fascination that two sisters have for games. From childhood on, the girls pass most of their spare time with puzzles, imagining characters and inventing games. With the emergence of the spectrum, they discover a new world and later on, with SimCity2000, their fascination for pixel-constructions begins.

Specialized in Graphic Design, Product and Web, in 2004 they found the design company Yoyo. After years of work and many different projects, it is with pixel-projects that they imagine what it would be like to lift the pixelized universe from the screen into the real world. Composing in pixel is not solitary work in the computer anymore, but rather a game, a pixel puzzle, where both of them can intervene pixel by pixel and where everything is possible.

Created by Korean designer living in Finland Jiyoung Seo, the SAI Modular Wall Storage Unit raises some questions about the way we use to store our belongings. Spotted on MonkeyZen, the interesting storage unit is made out of small silicone tubes that apparently have an interesting feel when you touch them. The silicone blocks can be arranged in different ways to accommodate different functions. Some cubes change color, acting as fun blocks that can be personalized according to your wishes. You can store books, magazines, papers, notes or other stuff and keep them on the boards by rearranging the silicone blocks. “The grip of the cubes will keep your things safe and tidy. You can change your imagination take flight and modify it according to your mood state. It can turn crazy modern art box or an organized platform” – this is how the designer describes her work.
