CC GAMING TO LOWER PRICES IN THE WORKS

CC Gaming has tons of regulars, fans, and 1st time shoppers. We often rely on feedback from our customers to help us keep our doors open and to keep our customers coming back to see us.
We have managed to be in the Kennesaw, GA area now for over 6 years. Lot's of preparations go into the processing of our used games. We test them, clean the pins on cartridges, remove all writing and stickers when possible and reseal them in 4x6 retail bags or retail shrink film to keep them clean and to avoid putting a price sticker right on top. Our discs are professionally resurfaced and placed into new dvd cases. Price stickers are placed inside to avoid being on the cover. If you add this process plus the trade and cash values we pay after it is said and done the profit margins are not as high as it may seem.

Why all the info? Well a lot of feedback has been that we are over-priced. That you can get our items cheaper from ebay or other stores. We want your business and want CC Gaming to be THE well-known place to get good quality games and get them for a good deal. So you have spoken and we are launching a new pricing structure to lower our over-head on the games you are speaking of. We will be lowering prices on over 80% of our retro and used games. From time to time we run specials, deals, Groupon Daily Deals and more. Now we are going to implement these specials and deals into the games we sell on a daily basis.

many attempts to avoid pirates is causing real
PS3 owners shy away from the PS3's garbage
terms and conditions.

I, like many others, are tending to enjoy the Xbox
360 more and more...
getting rid of my PS3 very soon, not worth the headache.
Last month my PS3 got stuck in an update loop,
couldnt play it for 2 months til the new firmware
finally fixed it. Cant use the OS any more,
lost the ability to use my madcatz controller on the 3.5 update,
WTF is going on Sony?

The beta and testing phases of CaanooCenter.com are underway. CannooCenter.com is a fully working online game store that will house all of CC Gaming's Pre-Owned inventory. This includes the extensive retro selection.

While the site is still being put together, items are being added daily to the pre-owned inventory to mirror the actual retail location of CC Gaming in Georgia.

Kid's in Need Foundation Demands Removal of Support from Our Website- WTF Moment of the Week

So today I get a bizarre email from a Children’s Organization telling me to remove their logo off our site. They obviously didn’t want exposure or someone supporting their cause. I have never been so throw back by such an odd request. Below I copied the emails she sent.

Your site was brought to my attention because you are displaying our logo. In addition, you make the statement "Support CC Gaming. Support The Kids In Need."

Can you please explain why you are displaying our logo and making this statement? How is a customer of yours, or your company, providing our organization with any support?

In the meantime, please remove this graphic from your website.

First of all, I will gladly have the image removed from our site, I will send over the message today to have that done.

This was put up on our site because of the support through “OURVENDOR” We only purchase game accessories from your company through “OURVENDOR” for that purpose.

We also did a end of the your Inventory blow out and sent 100% of the money to a contact thorough your Facebook page. (about $3200.00 I do believe, January 2010)

I didn't realize that you wouldn't want any extra support or funds from our company. It shows me that obviously the money didn't get to the right person or the kids in need at all or you wouldn't be talking to rudely to me about trying to help out.

No worries, no further support will be given, nor any purchases of merchandise that supports your cause will be given.
I DO want a contact from someone in your organization that can explain to me where our donation was made.

“OURVENDOR” is the company that manufactures and distributes video game accessories. We are Kids In Need Foundation, a national nonprofit that provides free school supplies to children “OURVENDOR” and Kids In Need Foundation have a licensing agreement in which part of the profits they receive from any product they sell with the Kids In Need Foundation logo on it is given as a donation to our nonprofit. You do not purchase anything from us, but from “OURVENDOR” I am not sure I understand how your profit from your sales of these items correlates to your company providing support directly to us.

I would assume that the money from your inventory blowout was sent to “OURVENDOR” not Kids In Need Foundation, but correct me if I am wrong. I see no records of a donation, but if you did indeed do that through a Facebook contact, there is no telling what happened there.

I was not asking for any support or funds from your company, I was simply asking how your company was providing support to make the statement on your page. I had the thought that it was related to “OURVENDOR” but did not want to make any assumptions, which is why I simply emailed a couple quick questions to get things sorted out.

I hope this helps clears things up for you. I suggest contacting “OURVENDOR” directly to get anything else worked out, since that is who you appear to be doing business with, and not us. Again, if you believe that you did make a donation directly to us, please follow up with some details so that I can get it sorted out.

While I've responded here, I have received 2 more emails from you. Just for your reference, if the answer to my simple, initial question was that you purchased product from “OURVENDOR” that in turn supported us, I would have just asked that you provided a link with the logo to this page “WWW.OURVENDOR.COM” so that all roles were clearly represented.

I believe this was a misunderstanding, and perhaps over-exaggeration on both parts, and I apologize for that. I certainly was not trying to be rude with you in my initial email, just ask a few questions to understand why your website was stating your support with a graphic and no link or information.

I do not work in sales, so the thought of providing a link to your supplier never crossed my mind. But as you have explained, I can see how that would not be something you wish to do. My apologies. I see in a case like that, a link to our site would have been more appropriate, rather than no link at all or a link to “OURSUPPLIER”.

I did notice your blog post as well, which also saddens me that you would take the time to post rather than return my calls. And for what it is worth, you note "no reply from Jenn Howard" - while all of those emails from you came in during a 30 minute span, I was speaking with our accountant to determine if we had information regarding your $3200 donation. She was not able to locate anything. If it was in fact a donation to us and was sent to “OURSUPPLIER”. they should have noted it to us, as it would have been a special circumstance and you would deserve the recognition for that donation. I WAS INFORMED BY “OUR VENDOR” THAT WE HAVE ALL RIGHTS TO USE THE LOGO SINCE WE ARE A DISTRIBUTOR OF THE PRODUCTS INFACT SUPPORTING THE FOUNDATION.

SO WE ARE TORN…. PLACE THE LOGO BACK UP AND SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION ON OUR SITE?

HELL NO!

CARE THAT THE OTHER GAME STORE THINKS THEY WON THIS LIL BATTLE? YEAH MAYBE

How to Upgrade your PS3 HDD & Keep Files & Firmware

1) you installed 3.41 to your PS3 and now you want to put a larger HDD in your system?
If yes, on some PS3 models all you have to do is physically install the HDD, follow on screen instructions to format, (of course you wont have anything on the new HDD anyway), then you perform your steps for Jailbreak as done before. Your firmware will still be at 3.41 as long as you are not updating from the system via internet.
2) some systems will not have any firmware or system info after placing the new HDD in and you will need to have your firmware on your flash drive and follow your on screen directions by pressing select and start together for 5 seconds. This will install all needed files and should reboot on it's own after the install.
3) You cannot rip info from the old HDD with a PC.
You must perform a backup and then perform a restore after the HDD install is complete. This can still be done if you have your old HDD. Just put it back in your system, do not put it in any other PS3 or PC first. Perform your back up from the

NOTE: if you have a lot of info to back up and need to use a large external, then the external needs to be in FAT32 format.

PS Jailbreak Tips & Tricks from CC Gaming's Forums!

So the PS3 JailBreak is out.
We are going to give you the info on what you need, and what not to do.

First things you need:

PS3 Slim or Regular with 3.41 Firmware or less
(If firmware is less you need you upgrade to 3.41)

PSJailbreak USB Mod chip
Buy here ----> http://www.psjailbreak.com/

External USB Drive (if you want to load to a larger USB Device)*
(Internal Hard drive will work - but limited space!)

Backup Manager files (get here -----> http://www.psjailbreak.com/download/manager.pkg
this is a package file to install to the PS3

USB Flash Drive(thumb Drive) for loading the packages
these are already in Fat32 -FYI

*USB External Drive needs to be formatted to Fat32
you can find a tool to do this here------> http://tokiwa.qee.jp/EN/Fat32Formatter/

You must first upgrade your ps3 to the 3.41 firmware
(nothing past that firmware or it wont work)

After the update is intstalled plug your PSJailbreak chip into
one of the USB ports on the PS3. Turn off the PS3 Using the
switch on the back. (unplug the cord if it's a slim model)

Turn on the switch, press the power button and then quickly
press the eject button. If you do this right the PSJailbreak chip
will turn green as the PS3 system is booting. You will then see
"install package files" under the "Game" tab on the dashboard.

Insert your USB flash drive containing the "manager" package files.
Click on "install the package files" and choose "manager"

this will install the game manager folder under the "game" section
on the dashboard.

From this point on you can install games to the internal hard drive or
external hard drive by following the on screen directions!

Remember you must have a game in the drive to access the games
you have installed.

NOTE: each time you turn the system on you must unplug everything but the mod chip
and turn off switch, turn on switch, press power then eject to get to mod mode.

You can not play blurays in mod mode so you need this option to toggle between
the modes.

PS3 Finally Gets Cracked, Hacked, and Modded?!!

The news and buzz is everywhere on the internet about the Playstation 3 being hacked and cracked.
Is it because of how long it has taken to be cracked or is it because some web sites are selling a USB flash drive loaded with the programming tools for as much as $170?!
Either way what most of us are waiting for is Sony's response and counter-action to the crack.
There has already been an update on the PS3 since the news and leak of some files to the internet.
The obvious will be the lost of the PSN usage if you are caught using or installing such software.
Will your console get banned or will Sony go beyond Microsoft's actions and ban the user's account and PSN ID? Banning the console alone will leave the console eventually useless if you can't update for games an even Blu-Ray movies that require such updates to play the movie content.
Lots of questions and soon to be answers as more and more software hits the web in the next few weeks.

This planet in ruins of it's previous civilizations has these criminals fighting for survival, power and freedom. Each region has it's own climates and inmates that put each player to the test.
Gameplay consisting of full 12-player online multiplayer matches across the planet, with all types of modes and arenas. Characters use the planet's environments to duck, sprint, jump and vault to get the advantage over their enemies. [NEWS] KRISS: One of the Newest Weapons in Combat Arms

Nexon America has given us the KRISS, a light weight sub-machine gun that is one of the world's most deadliest weapons!

Check out the new video just released using the KRISS.

Combat Arms offers a standard KRISS as well as a modified special ops version.

In real life, the KRISS was named as the world’s best weapon for close quarters combat by the Military Channel. It is a lightweight sub machine gun that uses a .45 caliber APC rounds with an amazing firing rate of more than 1000 bullets per minute with very little recoil. The KRISS' unique operating mechanism is designed to provide stability by absorbing recoil when firing. As might be guessed from a gun designed to be used by police forces, the KRISS is an excellent close quarters combat weapon, ideal on small tight maps like Junk Flea, Death Room and Brushwood. New Mortal Kombat Seen at E3

E3 2010 introduced us to the ninth installment in a story franchise that started in 1992 as an arcade game. This installment is a flashback to the events of Mortal Kombat 1 through 3. It was developed by NetherRealm Studios who was formerly Midway Games. It will use the mainly characters and maps from those games. This game has 2d backgrounds with 3d characters. This meshes well and the game looks beautiful.

When Glen and I got into the showing of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon told us that this Mortal Kombat will be back to the blood, punishing fatalities, and combos. He also said that this will be the most fast paced Mortal Kombat yet. Unlike combos of the past this game's combos are more about creating your own by linking special moves and normal punch-kick combos together.

Brand new to this game is a mechanic call the Super Meter. The Super Meter can be used to add extra power to your special attacks, a combo breaker, or charge it up to level 3 and unleash a annihilating attack called the "X-Ray Mode". When executing the X-Ray Mode attack it zooms in on the character's bones, spine, and organ. It shows the bones breaking, the spinal cord twisting, or the organ squishing against the body. This looked nasty and automatically makes people yell and scream.

In addition to the Super Meter mechanic, Mortal Kombat has also added a tag team system of fighting. By using the tag team system you can chain your combos between the two characters. The tag team adds a different level of difficulty to the game.

Another cool thing was the blood system in the game. It has a progressive wound in the game. The more times a character gets hit in the same area the darker the blood and the more cut up they get. It stays like that until you win the fight not just the round.

It has a lot of characters and one DLC character so far. The list of characters we saw and that weren't grey'd out were johnny cage, kung lao, mileena, nightwolf, reptile, sektor, scorpion, sub-zero. Boon is aiming for around 26 characters in this game.

The release date is supposed to be sometime in 2011. It will be on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Caanoo Vs. Other Portable Devices

Comparison of GPH's Caanoo to other Hand held devices.
It has always been in the past the downfall of Video game consoles is the lack of Dev support and games readily available at launch. The GPH family of consoles has always had an underground following because of the lack of commercial games. While the Caanoo wont see New Mario or Sonic platformers it does have the new FunGP site that will bring a lot of new flavor to the unit and more of an audience.
The best thing we can do is to promote and support the new FunGP.com site by purchasing it's games and apps and being involved in the online community.

I am very excited about this console and how it compares to other hand held devices.
Everyone has one or two things that they like about each hand held that is on the market. We also have many things we wish that these console would also do.
This is why we see the huge following of the iPod, and iPhone. The Nintendo DS has a great game selection but it is limited to media interfaces like videos, music and playing other games. The PSP, in my opinion, has a poor game selection, and the controls of those games were terrible. Many people had to MOD or hack their PSP to get it closer to what they really wanted, but it is still missing something. The iphone, while being a phone is it's most know function tries to accommodate what it is we are all looking for:
media interface, music, videos, games, online play, but it's still a phone. There isn't game controls that we want or need.
The Caanoo, what can I say, has brought us the closest to everything we have ever wanted in a portable device. New apps, games from devs on the new FunGP site, roms, emulators, nice size display screen, the joy-stick the PSP always needed, music, videos, wi-fi and more!
This is truly a device that will change the way we go portable, "Play Forward"!!!

New Ultimate Handheld Video Game System hits shelves next month!

This year's video game line up has been amazing. With new add ons to Playstation, Xbox, and another Nintendo DS coming this holiday season along with an exstensive new game line up, what's a gamer to choose?

Well here is yet another game system hitting the shelves at CC Gaming early in August, the Caanoo, with features that do everything including a touch screen, G sensor, rumble motors, wi-fi adapter add on, SD card slot, USB slot, a Neo-Geo -style joystick and much more!.
This system is the latest from Game Park Holdings. The have made the GP2X, The WIZ, F100, F200 gaming system without a lot of notice here in the US.

The Caanoo has games that were developed just for it, homebrew features and capabilities to make your own games and upload them to the website. It's open source functions allow emulators and roms to be installed too! This is a must have for all you gaming geeks out there!!
