These days many people are using mobile phones to checkout sites where they can find the animals that are in shelters and need help. This blog has not been optimized for mobile phones. I have no clue how to do that. Many old posts are unreadable according to Google.

I started this blog a long time ago. Now many rescues and organizations for animal welfare are on social media sites posting their animals and needs, looking for homes fosters, donations and transporters for their animals. Many rescues also have their own websites.

Some sites have fundraising events and even online auctions (Boston's Forgotten Felines is one)

I posted lots of shelters in the south.

Look for them on Social media like Facebook, Instagram. New Iberia Animal Shelter or Animal Control, New Iberia Louisiana was one shelter. Others Mason County Animal Shelter in West Virginia, Boston's Forgotten Felines another, no shelter need adopters and fosters. Maimi Dade Animal Control in Florida always has lots of animals in need. There are also opportunities to help animal through Go Fund Me.

There are many small shelters in great need in other states like Texas and California. Actually everywhere.

Please keep helping the cats and dogs and other animals. You can donate, foster, adopt, transport, help with websites and or fundraising, crosspost and contact your state and federal legislators encouraging them to support bills that help animals and wildlife.

"animals lovers to go to the Iberia Parish Council meeting on Wednesday Nov 10 at 6 pm at Iberia Parish Courthouse 4th floor on Iberia Street. They will be making decisions about the Animal Shelter and the interium director who has been euthanizing dogs and cats even when the shelter is not full. He has also cut back on quality and quantity of food for them and no telling what else. You don't need to speak but I am asking you to be their voice by showing support to those who will be speaking. The council and Mr Richard (Parish pres) will ONLY LISTEN and ACT if they know enough of the people in Iberia Parish WANT CHANGE. These defenseless animals deserve better. Dogs on Euth List If you live in Louisiana there are contact e-mails on the Projec Rise site to get in touch with the people making these disturbing changes at a Shelter that once took great care of the dogs and cats and worked very hard to not euth. It almost seems they want the cages empty to take in more dogs. Then they will kill them if they are there too long. The cycle will never stop until popele with hearts and critical thinking skills of howw to face the challenges of a small shelter with little funds can get help and support.
