Vindictus Early Access Beta Keys!

Hello guys!

The next round of beta for Vindictus is right around the corner.
Early Access Beta will begin on September 15 and last until October 6. This beta phase will be much, much larger than the closed beta, and there will be many more opportunities for players to participate.
Characters created during the Pre-Open Beta (or 'Early Access Beta') and forward will not be wiped. That means the character you create here will stay with you throughout your Vindictus experience.

In order to obtain a key you will have to leave a reply with your name&e-mail, but that's not everything! You will also have to answer some questions about Vindictus. You will have to answer 6 or more questions correctly in order to get a beta key instantly. If you have less than 6 correct, you will be put on the waiting list. PLEASE send your answers to: calimeromoa@gmail.com.
DO NOT FORGET TO LEAVE A REPLY WITH YOUR NAME AND E-MAIL ON THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

Rose Online review: Seven Planets, One Hero

R.O.S.E. Online (Rush On Seven Episodes) is a wonderful and thoughtful name for an MMORPG and it seems as if the developers have done more than just creating a good name. ROSE Online was one of the first MMOs with a large number of features and a thoughtful storyline. The gaming community absolutely loved it and ROSE Online was a very successful P2P MMORPG, but things went downhill after a while. MMO companies decided to release free games with a huge scale of features and ROSE Online started to fade away and it eventually became a F2P MMORPG with a decent amount of players but the original game was gone.

Nowadays, many players aren't even aware of the origin of the name of the game and the real meaning of it. After a lot of research I finally got in touch with a ROSE online expert and he told me the story of ROSE Online...

MixMaster review: Gotta mix 'em all!

I'm sure you all used to watch Pokémon when you were younger, or maybe you still watch this amazing anime from time to time. Have you ever wanted to know what would happen if two different Pokémon would be able to breed? What would the baby of an Eevee and a Psyduck look like and what powers would it have? MixMaster is a MMORPG by SeedC Inc. which pretty much resembles Pokémon.

It is based on the Japanese/Korean anime series "Mixmaster". The anime is about a boy who gets a mix machine and has to mix evil creatures to bring peace to the world. The same task is given to players in the MMORPG. You will have the opportunity to capture tons of creatures and mix them to make them more and more powerful! What are you waiting for? You gotta mix 'em all!

Everquest 2: Free to play?!

Wouldn't it be a dream for many gamers if Everquest II went free to play?
Well, here is your chance! EverQuest II Extended is basically a Free to Play server for EQ2. The game enables you to play Everquest II for free on new servers.

Here is some more information about the game, taken from its official site:

Battle of the Immortals review: The Rise of the Dragon Emperor

Love at first sight is definitely not the way I felt when I tried Battle of the Immortals on the Chinese servers. The website was pretty basic and the game seemed so effortless; the classes were common and there was hardly any customization when creating a character. It was definitely not something I would have expected from Perfect World Entertainment, the creators of Perfect World and the upcoming game Forsaken World.

Even when I created a character and entered the game I did not feel very enthusiastic. However, after finishing a few quests and leveling a few times, I noticed that I was actually enjoying the game. I looked forward to an English release, which arrived in the second quarter of 2010. Giving me pre-access to the game was a very generous gift of Perfect World Entertainment, which made it even easier for me to test the English version of the game for you!

Pets, pets, pets and more pets! Pets and minions have always been an obsession to me. If a game didn't provide these awesome creatures, I wouldn't be interested. This is exactly the reason why I was so amazed by Ether Saga Online, a game created by Perfect World Entertainment, the creators of Perfect World. The game had everything I wanted! Fast combat, flashy skills, billions of slave-.. pets, beautiful graphics and life skills. I didn't hesitate a moment and tried to download it from three different sites, to see which one would be the fastest. After ten exciting minutes I was able to enter the game and make my dreams come true, but I should have known that dreams will always remain dreams....

The Tower of DRUAGA MMO

As most of you know, The Tower of Druaga is a very successful anime. And now, some years later we are able to play an MMO based on the wonderful TV animation series by GONZO.

Tower of Druaga: Recovery of Babylim offers its player a unique adventure with a decent storyline and an amazing scenery. The game's graphics are pretty disappointing, however. Furthermore, the gameplay is really slow at lower levels, which makes it a pain to advance. It is just unbelievable how many Japanese kids are actually playing it.
It is basically a generic, boring and repetitive MMO with some unique aspects.

I would recommend you to stay away from this game. The chances of an English release are lower than 1%. Nobody wants to invest in something like this!

Battle of Immortals: Pre-access

Hey guys!

Perfect World Entertainment gave me the opportunity to test the English version of Battle of Immortals before anyone else. This was pretty awesome and I was able to test most of the features before anyone else! I had already played the Chinese version for a while, but this was much easier!

The servers open in a few hours to everyone who has a Closed Beta key. PWE allowed me to post my pictures so you guys could have a quick look at the first 20 levels. Sorry for not posting more.

Cabal NA closes its doors.

Cabal NA, hosted by OGPlanet, has to close its doors. EST Soft, the developers of Cabal, have decided not to extend OGP's contract. Cabal Online NA will end its live service on March 31 2010.

Many North-American players are disappointed and sad, but there is still hope! The game will not completely shut down; EST Soft has decided to take over!

Hey all!

I decided to try this game out to show this Chinese game to my readers.

Basic information

- The registration is easy and the downloading barely takes any effort.
- The game is 2.5D (see screenshots).
- The game has auto-walk for your main quests, so it's not hard to find them.
- Battle of Immortals has amazing pets and stunning skill effects.
- There is barely any grind for the first 40-50 levels.
- The graphics are decent.

It just wouldn't be new content without a new dungeon to go crawling around in. In the spirit of classic dungeon fare, with a MegaTen twist, you will travel deep into Kuchinawa Cave a brand new open dungeon where solo players and parties can enter at the same time.

Kuchinawa Cave has several new bosses to battle! Some of which can only be found if you complete tasks as a team .
*Hint, those plasmas are glowing pretty brightly!*

These bosses are no push overs either...you will have to bring your A game to defeat them, and a party of willing victims..err....volunteers to help, even then, Kuchinawa Cave features one of the toughest boss fights in the game...Yamatano-Orochi!!!

Kuchinawa Cave also features alignment-based Benefits/Penalties: LAW players may be cursed by the Gaian Monks; however, they may be able to spawn special bosses at the same time. CHAOS players may find drop items that will boost their stats against LAW players and demons.

Your rewards for your efforts will be great but special among them is the chance to obtain a New Plug-In: Qing-Long! Get a plug-in to unleash this powerful new demon on your foes.

Kuchinawa Cave also has content ONLY high level characters can venture to explore. This is good as now players will also receive a HIGHER LEVEL CAP!!! Are you a level 93 or shooting for it....everyone knows the cool kids are going to be hanging out at level 97. But this will be no easy feat so what are you waiting for?

Sho Online interview: The battle of Yin and Zhou!

Sho Online, a MMORPG by Lizard Interactive, is a purely Chinese-oriented game. Everything, from its storyline to combat and PvP, is based on the Chinese tale 'Fengshen Yangyi'.
Sho Online is pretty much end-game based. The PvP battles in the many different maps prove this; there is a constant war being waged between the two factions, Yin and Zhou. Players of one faction will have a hard time when entering the maps of the other faction and vice versa. To take part in this timeless battle is the dream of many new players, but sadly it takes quite a while to get there.

During the Closed Beta, players were given the opportunity to fight against each other as all existing characters were boosted to the max level. Being a part of this battle made me realize how realistic the game is and it has kept my interest since then. We here at OnRPG, were given the opportunity to talk to the marketing manager of Lizard Interactive and present our questions..

Hunter Blade: Hack&Slash MMO

Hunter Blade Online is an MMORPG from JoyChina. The game seems very similar to Monster Hunter Frontier, but its AI (Artificial Intelligence) seems much more advanced.
The game focuses, just like MHF, on a Hack&Slash-like combat mixed with RPG features and amazing graphics. Anyways, that's enough basic information for now. Let's take a look at Hunter Blade's game-play and graphics!

LOCO: No american server?

LOCO, Land of Chaos Online seems to be one of the biggest hits in Korea. This game is a mix of RTS, FPS and RPG, and a successful mix (see videos). As some of you may know, the game will be published in South East Asia by Winner Online. For more information about this, please check cinderboy's blog here.

Anyways, enough about the SEA version. The European version of the game will be hosted by Alaplaya. Its release is planned in Q2/Q3 of 2010, according to the press. I'm not sure how much we can trust that, but we can be sure that it'll be released soon...
The reason I'm bringing this game up is that there seems to be no confirmed North American release. The reason for this? No clue, but the North American fans aren't very happy about it.

Some of you might be googling the game while reading this because of the weak advertising skills of Alaplaya, but don't worry! Here's some information about the game in a nutshell:

That looks amazing, I'll have to agree with that, but it seems as if the Korean company wants to impress us with photoshopped pictures. I would do the same, but it's a bit over the top. Here are some REAL in-game screenshots.

Oh, and here some nice shots of the available characters. All current characters have a total of 10 skills. Players can pick five of those for an extraordinary gameplay. I can't say much more about this, since it is all very unclear and I'm not able to test the game myself due to its KSSN requirement.

What is Megaten?

Megaten, better known as Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online, is a modern MMORPG with an amazing storyline and some interesting features.

Most of you are already familiar with this game, so I will not an incredibly long review or anything like that. Let's check the features!

My favorites: Bold

Suginami Bronze - Easiest dungeon in-game. Level 1-10.
Suginami Silver - Fun dungeon to run through once or twice. Level 15-25.
Suginami Gold - Amazing dungeon with loads of exp which can be entered after Act 7. Level 50+ party recommended.
Ichigaya bronze - Fun dungeon, cool demons to capture. Level 20-30.
Ichigaya silver - Interesting dungeon with decent exp. Level 25-40.
Ichigaya gold - One of the hardest dungeons. Can be entered after Act 7. Level 50+ party recommended!
Celu bronze - Fun, quick dungeon with nice exp. Level 15-25.
Celu silver - Decent dungeon, but nothing really special. Level 20-35.
Celu gold - New dungeon. Pretty amazing, but HARD. Level 50+ party recommended.
Zhu Que Caverns - Amazing and interesting. One of the best dungeons in-game. Level 30+
Catacombs - Hard dungeon. A party would be recommended. Level 30+

Allignments
There are three allignments in-game: Law, Neutral and Chaos.
All demons belong to a certain allignment.
Your actions throughout your acts determine your allignment.

Expertises

The game offers you a huge amount of 'expertises'. These are some kind of skills with their OWN skill tree.
You can train them by using the skills/items that fit them.
Please keep in mind that you have a max amount of expertise points!

Chain Expertises
The Chain Expertise are gained by leveling certain normal ones, and their powers are based on their component Techniques and Knowledges.
They grant access to special styles of ability not normally available.
Chain expertise points do not contribute points to your characters limited learning capacity.

Synthesis - A Production Expertise Skill for changing demons into crystals and for fusing equipment.
Demolition Dash - A Battle Expertise Skill for staging an assault while enveloped in destructive magical energy.
Curse of the Wretched - A Battle Expertise Skill for controlling curse magic over a wide area for indirect assistance in battle.
Enhancement - A Battle Expertise Skill for controlling recovery and support magic over a wide area to assist one's allies.
Magic Bullet - A Battle Expertise Skill for endowing gunshots with curse magic and elemental abilities.
Sharpshooter - A Battle Expertise Skill for enhancing the damage guns do against certain demon species.
Retaliation - A Battle Expertise Skill for enhancing the damage certain weapons do with appropriate disadvantages.
Swordsmith - A Production Expertise Skill for making close-range arms following acquired "recipes".
Arms Maker - A Production Expertise Skill for making guns following acquired "recipes".

About the phone number:

For phone numbers all you do is copy the numbers when you hover over it the one above the cell phone just plug in 4 digits after what the number says. 022948XXXX is what it says. Just change those 4 X's by random numbers. Keep trying different ones until it works.

6. After clicking on that button, there might be some other pages. Just keep clicking on the left buttons at the bottom XD

Hey all!

Now, I know that this game has been around for over two years (in Japan), but I still want to tell you guys something about this amazing MMORPG.

The game was released in 2007 in Japan. The developer (and publisher) was/is Gamepot.

MFO/MRO is an MMO version of the Monster Rancher games. These games were pretty cool, but nothing special. A 3D MMO version with more RPG elements was what we all had been waiting for~

Monster Farm/Monster Rancher Online is amazing. The inspiration of the game, the console games, are wonderfully put together in this MMO. You start off in a colorful world with beautiful graphics and you are being told to set off and explore the world.
In Monster Farm/Monster Rancher Online you will have to battle tons of amazing looking monsters, but you are not alone! The whole concept of the game is to breed, capture and train your own monsters! There are so many different types of monsters and it is really awesome to sit in town and watch all the unique monsters hop away!

The combat is mostly about your demon. He is the one that tanks and does damage. You can support him and heal him, but he is the one that does the job, which is a very unique way of battling opponents and we have never seen it before. There are games where your pets tank for you or simply fight together with you, but this is the one and only game I know in which your monster fights more than you do. Having this type of combat may be a little bit disappointing for players who like to fight with the character they made.

Combat and amazing pets are not the only things that this game offers. You can harvest your own crops, you can build your own little garden, you can craft various things and much more! Is there anything else we need to ask for?

Ratings:

Community: 9.5 --> Great and helpful community. I hope we will be able to say the same from the upcoming English release.

Gameplay: 8 --> Great gameplay, many features, awesome pet system, decent combat.

Graphics: 9.5 --> Very smooth and cartoony. It could have been a little better, though.

Presentation: 9 --> Very good support system, little to no bugs, no big flaws. The only downside is the IP block.

Overall: 9

We are all looking forward to see an English release and I will inform you whenever I have more information about it.
