I am heartbroken!!!!

After Ashish Nehra was picked over him for India's World Cup squad, S Sreesanth poured his heart out on Twitter.

"I am heartbroken but no worries, time will come my way... Will keep giving my very best to the game no matter how small my chances are. I truly believe in God," Sreesanth tweeted.

"Lack of faith makes people scared to meet challenges," he added.

"I will never ever give up. I love this game and will keep giving my very best," the Kerala pacer wrote.

Sreesanth also wished the Indian team: "I am sure we will win this one. Will surely miss it. Was really looking forward to win it... maybe next one."

The team was announced on Monday in Chennai.

Fans choose their all-time ODI dream team

The people have spoken. To coincide with the 40th anniversary of the first One-Day International, cricket fans from almost 100 countries around the world have cast their votes on the ICC website for what they consider to be the all-time ODI team.

In total, fans from 97 countries cast almost 600,000 votes on www.icc-cricket.com between 22 December and 2 January to make their views known as to who have been the best ODI players of the past 40 years in the key categories of opening batsmen, middle-order batsmen, wicketkeeper, spin bowlers and fast bowlers.

Three players from Australia and India, two from the West Indies and one each from South Africa, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have made the final dream 11 with another Aussie named as 12th man while the momentous "438" game between South Africa and Australia in Johannesburg in 2006 has been voted the best ODI yet.

The All-Time ODI Dream Team is:

12th man: Michael Bevan (Aus, the player who received the most number of votes without being enough to make the would-be starting 11).

Supporters had the chance to select the dream team from a shortlist of 48 players in different categories and they could pick their favourite game from a choice of 10 memorable matches.

The match they chose was a run-fest in Johannesburg's famous Wanderers Stadium in March 2006. Batting first, Australia made a record 434-4 in 50 overs with captain Ricky Ponting setting the day alight with 164 off just 105 balls.

The mood of the capacity crowd did not improve when SA lost a wicket with just three runs on the board. But then an innings of magic from Herschelle Gibbs (175 off 111) backed up by cameos by Graeme Smith(90 off 55), Mark Boucher (50 not out) and Johan van der Wath (35) saw the Proteas to a scarcely possible winning score of 438 with nine wickets down and one ball remaining. It was a wonderful occasion and truly an ODI never to be forgotten.

The first ever ODI was played between Australia and England on 5 January 1971 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Cricket Australia will also mark the 40th anniversary of ODI cricket with a number of events, including a cocktail reception with members of Australia's first ODI team at Victoria's Government House, during Melbourne's Cricket Weekend - which also includes a Twenty20 International - from 14-16 January.

The Australian ODI team from 1971 will also be presented to the crowd during the innings break of the first ODI match of the series between Australia and England at the MCG on Sunday 16 January.

The 40th anniversary of the ODI is being marked in the build-up to cricket's flagship event, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, which begins in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 19 February. As with all nine previous editions of the tournament, fans around the globe will no doubt be treated to amazing feats of individual and team brilliance that will live long in the memory.

It was just two year back, when this dreadful and horrifying attack on the Taj, Oberoi Trident and CST station killed many innocent people including children. This incident shook not only Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, but the whole nation. People all around the world condemned this incident as the worst terrorist attacks ever.

On this day, let's stand up and salute all the brave soldiers who lost their lives to safeguard our safety and integrity, and also extend our condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the worst ever terror assault in the history of India. It's high time, we need to stand united to fight against terrorism and nip it in the bud.

Happy Vijayadashmi to all....
As you all know on the eve of vijayadashmi children will start to study and to write by writing "ഹരി ശ്രി ഗണപതയേ നമ (hari sri ganapathaye nama)" on rice. But interestingly till today i had didn't done it.
When i was only 3yrs my parents decide to conduct it. My Grandpa was appointed as my first teacher. Everything was arranged for it. But on that moment i started crying. When my grandpa say to write it on the rice i just drawn somethings on it. When he forcefully tried to make me written i started crying and made problems there....

Indian Cricket team is all set to be seen in new clothes in the World Cup 2011 as the official apparel sponsor Nikeunveiled new Jersey with same bluish color but extra Orange. The revealing function of the new attire for Indian cricket team was held at Chandigarh on 29th September, 2010.

Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag attended the launching ceremony of Nike Chandigarh. Captain of Indian cricket team, M S Dhoni was not present at the launching ceremony as he had just arrived in the city on Wednesday after being in South Africa for the Champions League Twenty20.

The current Jersey of Indian cricket team (Dark Blue) was introduced during last year 2009. The new jersey is capable of keeping the body temperature down to comfortable levels, as said by the BCCI’s apparel sponsors Nike. Also, Nike claimed that the jersey will not stick to the skin during sweating and is capable to control the humidity.

Gautam Gambhir said that he was looking forward to the two-Test series against Australia which will be started from 1st October. Fast bowler of India, Zaheer Khan said that he was spending much time on his fitness nowadays. Sachin Tendulkar took the opportunity and said that he would continue playing as long as he enjoyed his cricket.

The World Cup 2011 is scheduled to be held in Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh). Keeping the comfort level of players, the new attire is manufactured.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has won the ICC Cricketer of the Year Award in the ICC Annual Award held in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Sachin also won the People's Choice Award, the category which was introduced for the first time by the ICC. This award was chosen by cricket fans around the world who voted for their favourite player on-line from a short-list of five cricketers selected by the ICC selection panel on the basis of some really innovative parameters, in sync with the values that embody brand LG.

Whereas Indian opener Virender Sehwag won the Test Player of the Year and South African AB de Villiers bagged the ODI Player of the Year.

Team India won the Test Team of the Year whereas Australia bagged the ODI Team of the Year Award.

South Africa's AB de Villiers has won the ODI Player of the Year award.

De Villiers beat off tough competition from Sachin Tendulkar and the Australia duo of Shane Watson and Ryan Harris to take the prestigious award.

During the voting period, de Villiers played 16 ODIs and scored 855 runs at an average of 71.25 and at a rate of 103.38 runs per 100 balls faced. In that time he hit four 50s and four centuries making sure he led his team from the front when it came to batting.

England fast bowler Steven Finn has won the ICC Emerging Player of the Year award at the LG ICC Awards ceremony in Bengaluru.

The 21-year-old, who played in six Test matches in the voting period and took 27 wickets at an average of 21.85, has made an immediate impact within the England side with his extra pace and bounce since making his Test debut in March of this year.

Pakistan Umpire Aleem Dar has won the David Shepherd Trophy for the second time after being named ICC Umpire of the Year.

Dar,42, was voted to this award by the 10 Full Member captains as well as the eight-man Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees, based on his decision statistics and officiating skills over the past 12 months.

It is the second year in a row that he has received the ICC award which has been newly named after the late England umpire David Shepherd and upon collecting the trophy from Chris Broad, Dar said: "I think the fact I'm still playing cricket in Pakistan makes me a good umpire, in the last four times I've played cricket I scored centuries so I definitely think that has helped.

West Indies great Joel Garner was inducted into ICC Hall of Fame in the ceremony.

Netherlands all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate has become the ICC Associate and Affiliate Player of the Year at the LG ICC Awards in Bengaluru.

The voting academy chose ten Doeschate over other top Associate and Affiliate players including Afghanistan's Mohammed Shahzad and the Ireland duo of Trent Johnston and Kevin O'Brien. It is the second time ten Doeschate has claimed the award, the first time he picked up the title was in 2008.

The LG ICC Awards ceremony is now in its seventh year. The event was staged in association with Federation of International Cricketers' Associations (FICA). Previous ceremonies were held in London (2004), Sydney (2005), Mumbai (2006), Johannesburg (2007 and 2009) and Dubai (2008).

The nominations for seven of the awards was made by a five-man ICC selection panel chaired by ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, former West Indies captain and Chairman of ICC Cricket Committee Clive Lloyd. The panel also includes former India captain Ravi Shastri, former England fast bowler Angus Fraser, ex- Zimbabwe batsman and England coach Duncan Fletcher and former Australia opener Matthew Hayden.

The ICC on Wednesday announced its Test and ODI Team of the Year, as chosen by a specially appointed selection panel chaired by West Indian batting legend Clive Lloyd.
