Spacesuit "Witness» (Witness): these suits with a powerful protection from the environment were VSSK scouts who led excavations on Tau Volantis. What they uncovered in the icy abyss, has changed them forever. When a few weeks later, the scouts came to the surface, they are up and down were painted strange symbols. In addition, the entire party claimed that they "have seen the truth."

The game takes place in U.A.E. city of Dubai six months after a series of massive sand storms hit the city and effectively cut it off from the rest of the world. Before the city went dark however a colonel by the name of John Konrad volunteered his regiment, the 33^rd, to help evacuate the city. Unfortunately things didn’t go as planned and the regiment effectively deserted the army after Konrad refused an order to abandon the city. The last anyone had heard from the 33^rd, Konrad was about to attempt to lead a caravan of people out of the city. Two weeks before the game starts a message comes out of the city, telling of the failure of the caravan and the deaths of many. The army decides to covertly send a Delta Force team to investigate. What they find, much to their surprise is civil war in the city between the 33^rd, led by Konrad, and armed civilians, armed and led by various CIA agents and the recon team is forced to fight for their lives and find out just what the hell happened within the city and get the survivors out.

And I have to say that when they promoted this game for its Heart of Darknesstype story, they were not falsely advertising. This is probably the only shooter out there that I can honestly say has a really intelligent plot, full of twist that I didn’t see coming, digging into intense themes with heavy visuals to compliment it, taking a lot of inspiration from Apocalypse Now! without directly ripping off it. While the plots of games likeModern Warfare, Black Ops, Halo, and Gears aren’t horrible by any means, they aren’t exactly what I would call thought provoking. This is a game that really digs into themes that no other developer that I know of has ever addressed and contains really dark plot elements to compliment it, and to be honest I’m honestly surprised that the game hasn’t gained more controversy over it. And believe me, when I say these elements and themes are dark they are DARK, often digging into what is acceptable for the military to do and what is not. Whereas other games would probably draw a distinct line on this and tell the gamer what is right and wrong matter Spec Ops does not, often putting you into “us or them” type situations and/or revenge dilemmas and leaves the gamer to choose what he or she thinks is ultimately right or wrong without being preachy about it. A prime example of this is the question over who the real villains are. You have the military, which are apparently a bunch of tyrants, the CIA led civilians who are constantly being intentionally led to horrible deaths by their leaders and then there is your group who constantly seem to make situations worse for both sides as the game goes on.

There are, however, two major issues I have with the plot and I can’t help but turn my head at these things in confusion. The first thing is that I’m not really sure about the whole “city being destroyed by sand storms” thing. Now I openly admit that I don’t know how sand storms work but I just find it a little hard to believe that sand storms can constantly hit a city like that for months on end, effectively cutting it off from the rest of the world and making it all but uninhabitable. The other, and the bigger one for me, is the ending. I don’t want to spoil too much for you but it’s one of those weird, narrative shattering endings and, quite frankly, I didn’t think the ending needed it and it just raised so many questions and confuse the hell out me.

But all around the storyline of this game was fantastic. The situations, the themes, the atmosphere, and the way everything was built up was just incredible. To put it simply, more videogames need to follow this game’s example in how to tell a story. If for no other reason than this, the game is worth checking out for its story because it is incredible.

So, did Spec Ops: The Line deliver on all of its promises? Well, in the story and character department, yes. It does for videogames what Apocalypse Now! did for films and what The Heart of Darkness did for books in the plot, themes and character department and that’s where the strength of this game lies; in the sheer darkness of all the things it shows. Unfortunately the gameplay really drags the experience down and in this regard, it feels like it was developed back in 2008 or something, (four years can be a lifetime for games), with mechanics that were innovative back then but are more than a little old now. I really wanted to like this game a lot more and give it a high rating and recommendation. At worst it’s a solid rental for a campaign playthrough and at best it’s worth the 50 bucks that it costs on STEAM but I would wait for the price to drop a little more before making any decisions on buying it. Ultimately, the story is worth playing through but the lack of innovation in gameplay just drags the whole thing down and that’s my final word on this game.

Another interesting action game ..Freedom Fighters 1 takes place in an alternate reality that never saw the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Instead, the Red threat has continued to grow since the end of World War II, taking hold in countries as close to home as Cuba and Mexico. The game opens with the plumbing team of Chris and Troy Stone paying a visit to the clogged sink of Isabella Angelina, who also happens to be a vocal member of a watchdog organization devoted to informing the American public about the evils of the Soviet Union. The duo enters her apartment to find that it has been hastily evacuated, and soon after, Soviet troops bust in to try to find her, only to capture Troy instead. The Soviet invasion of the US has begun.

While the enemy AI doesn't seem to be quite as smart as your team, the Soviet troops are good at taking cover and using nearby gun turrets to ensure that your advance is a difficult one. They'll also use cover and will take advantage of their superior numbers, making them a consistently challenging foe. In all, Freedom Fighters' friendly and enemy artificial intelligence is easily some of the best to date in a shooter. The game has four difficulty levels, and the increase in challenge from one level to the next is noticeable. You'll definitely be taking more damaging fire as you slide up the difficulty scale. Additionally, the game is good at getting more difficult as you move through the missions. Near the beginning, you'll be facing basic troops with pistols and other light weapons. But you'll start to see larger troops with flak jackets and shotguns and heavily armored machine gunners, and later in the game you'll even face off against a tank.

The only problem with Freedom Fighters is that there simply isn't enough of it.

The only real problem with Freedom Fighters is that there simply isn't enough of it. While the game does a good job of making you think you're nearly finished, only to toss another set of missions at you, veteran action gamers should be able to get through the game on the second or third difficulty setting in eight to 12 hours. However, unlike other action games of similar length--Max Payne, for example--the game doesn't really give you much reason to go back through and play a second time. Rather than giving you access to special features or alternate modes, completing the game simply gives you the ability to go back and play any mission at will, though with the entire squad you've amassed.

Freedom Fighters is simultaneously appearing on the PC and all three major consoles. While each version of the game is about as equally impressive on its respective platform, there are definitely some differences in control. The PC version of the game makes great use of the same mouse-and-keyboard control you'd expect from most first- or third-person action games. It also offers more-precise aiming control. The console versions understandably rely on auto-aim to make up for a gamepad's relative lack of precision, though you can still aim manually in the console versions of the game, which is required for doing things like blowing up explosive barrels to take out a cluster of troops at once.

The console versions of the game all contain a four-player multiplayer mode. Though it isn't really a main focus of the game, the multiplayer mode is basically a version of king of the hill, where one team must hoist their flag and hold the position until a time limit has been reached. The PC version doesn't have this mode, but it isn't strong enough to really be missed. The ability to play the game's outstanding single-player campaign cooperatively, online or off, would have been a much more meaningful multiplayer addition.

Graphics is another area that varies from platform to platform, but again, each version looks pretty fantastic when compared to other similar titles on each system. The models look and move well, the game keeps a pretty solid frame rate throughout, and the environments are realistically urban, giving the game a nice New York City feel. Weapon fire, lighting, and most other effects look appropriately dramatic. As you'd expect, the PC version offers the greatest graphical performance, especially when running at 1600x1200 or higher with the draw distance set as far as it will go. By comparison, the console versions aren't quite as sharp, though the Xbox version's visuals outpace the GameCube and PS2 equivalents. The GameCube version also occasionally shows seams between its polygons, which makes it look slightly worse than the others, though still great in its own right. The graphics do have a bit of an impact on gameplay--it's more difficult to see troops at a distance on the console versions than it is on the PC. When you're trying to gun down an entire squad from a machine gun turret, you can't do any zooming in, so it's easier to miss a target or two.

The sound in Freedom Fighters is really terrific. With only a couple of exceptions, the voice work is well done. The sounds of combat, especially when you're working with a large squad, are of particular note, as they really make you feel like you're on a battlefield. The game's music, filled with choral vocals reminiscent of the Soviet national anthem, is also a stellar high point, and it adds a perfect level of drama to the proceedings.

While the game could have been lengthier, Freedom Fighters is still just an outstanding blend of pure action and tactical squad combat. The squad control works incredibly well, making it easy even if you haven't had much experience with squad-based games in the past. Anyone looking for thrilling action with refined control and a great premise need look no further than Freedom Fighters.

After that brief setup, you're thrust into the role of Chris Stone, and you hook up with Isabella's resistance movement almost immediately. Operating from the sewers beneath New York City, the movement aims to overthrow the invaders and drive the communists out of the country. You'll start as a lowly member of the team, but you grow in popularity and influence as the game goes on, and Chris will slowly transform from an average 32-year-old plumber into a battle-hardened leader.

The game isn't terribly long-winded in its storytelling. Most of the game's plot is advanced by a series of humorous Soviet-run newscasts, which cover your actions as terrorist activities. Your missions are laid out in the rebel base, and the briefings are great at explaining the strategic significance of, say, reclaiming a high school building for the red, white, and blue. Though the story is told well and works great in the context of the game, it's pretty short on substance. Aside from a foreshadowed plot twist that you can see coming from a mile away, not a whole lot happens in the game. It must also be said that the game doesn't provide much closure at the end, simultaneously setting up for a sequel while not really leaving you with a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. A more climactic final mission would have gone a long way. These things hardly affect the incredible quality of the game's action, though.

At the outset, Freedom Fighters plays like a rock-solid third-person shooter, with smooth and responsive controls. You can shoot from the hip or raise your weapon for precision firing, which causes the camera to zoom in slightly for a cool over-the-shoulder view. You have an inventory of items and the ability to carry a pistol and one primary weapon, such as a shotgun, an assault rifle, a sniper rifle, a machine gun, a rocket launcher, or a submachine gun. You'll also be able to carry grenades, Molotov cocktails, high explosives, binoculars, and health packs that restore your health when used, though they can also be used to heal wounded civilians or other freedom fighters.

Once you've operated on your own for a little while and have gotten used to the control, thanks to some well-placed training messages, the game gives you the ability to command up to two other squad mates. By increasing your charisma rating--which goes up as you complete missions and can also be given optional boosts if you rescue prisoners or heal civilians--you can eventually control up to 12 soldiers simultaneously. Running with a crowd definitely makes Freedom Fighters feel like a much larger game, and the late-game firefights that erupt when you have a larger squad are extremely impressive and, more importantly, a lot of fun.

Squad control is both simple and effective in Freedom Fighters. You need only three buttons to command your troops on the battlefield. The recall button forces troops to fall in behind you. The attack button can be used to send troops after a specific soldier, or you can target a general area to get troops to cover specific locations. Finally, the defend button is used to get troops to hold their position. Tapping the buttons will assign commands to one member of your squad, but holding the button down for a split-second longer assigns the command to your entire squad, which is usually more effective.

The squad AI isn't perfect--we saw our troops get hung up when attempting to climb down onto some train tracks, and we saw one instance of a squad member not taking the most efficient path to its destination--but its rare problems are easily overlooked because the rest of the time they work very well, and using your team effectively is really satisfying. Squadmates support each other and naturally use the urban terrain for cover. You can effectively lead their charge, or you can let them do a lot of the work themselves and support them with covering fire. The squad dynamic lends the action a great deal of variety, ensuring that no two skirmishes will play out in quite the same fashion.

Players looking for thrilling action with refined control and an excellent premise need look no further than Freedom Fighters.

Each mission in the game has one main goal, but that goal is usually impossible to attain without performing a collection of secondary tasks. For example, you'll never be able to blow up a supply bridge while attack choppers are covering it, so you'll have to acquire some C4 and take out a nearby helipad to remove all choppers from the area. And you can't make your way into the police station while snipers are covering it from the roof of a nearby gas station. So you'll have to get behind the station and blow it up. Each mission usually has multiple locations, and you can move freely from one area to another via manholes found throughout the city.

Manholes also serve as the game's save system. The game is saved automatically whenever you move from one location to another, and you can also make quick saves there. There are enough save points to keep things fair, but not so many that you can remove the game's challenge by saving every few seconds. It's a good balance.

Drag race is a simple straight away race that has three heats. There are three types of drag races, 1/4 and 1/2 mile drag races where the fastest time, out of three runs, wins. There is also a wheelie competition where the longest wheelie on the 1/4 mile track wins.
In Grip races, there are four different modes (Normal Grip, Grip Class (all versions except for the PS2 version), Sector Shootout and Time Attack), the player has a choice to race rough, such as ramming, smashing, or blocking the opponent in order to win the race, or race cleanly and follow the given racing lines. Normal Grip races feature 2 to 4 laps around a circuit track with up to 7 other racers. First driver to cross the finish line wins. Grip Class races take 8 racers and divide them into two even groups. The racers are placed into the groups based on their vehicles performance potential. Group A starts about 10 seconds ahead of group B, both groups race on the same course but are only competing against the 3 drivers in their group. In Time Attack, the driver with the fastest overall single lap time wins the event. In Sector Shootout the track is divided into several segments, with drivers attempting to complete these sectors in the shortest possible time. Extra points are awarded to drivers who 'dominate' the course by holding the fastest time for every segment of the track.
In Speed Challenge races, players must cross the finish line first to win the race. Players have to be cautious in Speed Challenge at speeds exceeding 180mph.
In Top Speed Run races, the course is divided into 3 to 9 sections (just like that of Sector Shootout in Grip races) and at the instant a player crosses a checkpoint their speed is clocked and added to that player's score, the player with the highest cumulative speed wins. This is similar to the tollbooth events in Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and is followed by tollbooth events in Undercover.
In Drift, players drift to emerge as the driver with the most points scored in the event. Points are scored based on speed, angle, and how long the drift is held.
Other than gameplay itself, ProStreet features detailed damage modeling, unlike previous Need for Speed games (except for High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed) where damage is relatively little or non-existent altogether. The new damage system introduces more depth of damage (except on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS and Wii versions, where the damage modeling has been scaled down due to the limited processing power, so the damage is similar to the previous titles) where any object in the game world has the potential to inflict cosmetic damage breaking off pieces of the car such as the hood,bumpers,side view mirrors, light damage, or heavy damage which reduces performance of a car, and even has the potential to total a car immediately after impact.ProStreet features customization of cars. The changes affect the aerodynamics of the cars, and players can test them in an enclosed chamber called the "Wind Tunnel" (all versions except the PlayStation 2 and Wii versions).
The Speedbreaker does not return for ProStreet (as the game lacks a police presence; the Speedbreaker was mostly intended for police evasion, however it returns for the Nintendo DS version of the game).

This game is not so old, it's from 2010, so it appears on PC and Xbox 360, like its predecessor its first person coop shooter, and it's very entertaining. Great pandemic has spread all over the world, and turns people into zombies. Military has created safe zones all over the America, in attempt to rescue as many civilians as possible, and that's where you step in. Directly into shoes of one of the survivors and together with your friends you try to blast your way through tons of zombies, monsters and witches (yes witches). There are many scenarios available for you to play, and together those scenarios create linear storyline, telling us how those survivors are trying to escape.

You can play alone, with computer controlled buddies, which is not so fun, because they are programmed and mostly follow you and are very boring companions. Best solution is to play with your friends coop, or online, that's where fun starts. Hours and hours of entertainment, shooting, burning, detonating, smacking zombies. Weapon arsenal is colorful one, from standard, machine guns, pistols, and bombs, to really not so common, like guitars (yeah smack that zombie's ass with a guitar), crowbars, katana blades etc. Also if you got your ass kicked, your buddies can revive you, even bring you back from the dead with a defibrillator, heal you and everything, so having good team of people when playing online is nice. Because sometimes when I play some people are running around, not caring to cooperate or whatever is needed to do on certain level, and that sucks and ruins a game-play.

Speaking of game-play, it is very smooth and nice done, even when there are hordes of zombies around you game still runs nice and smooth, graphics are beautiful and atmosphere is awesome. Landscapes vary from buildings, streets, cities, to forests, fields, mountain, almost every cool surrounding is here. Everything is nicely animated, zombies look cool, not cheap, and there are many variations of them, from workers to clowns. Also these zombies run like hell, they are not slow, as we got used in Resident Evil series for example, but it's ok, because story-wise it's different virus.

This is second game in the series, but you only need this one if you're planing on buying this game, because here included are also all campaigns from Left 4 Dead first game, so you have two games for the price of one, so you got many levels to blast through. What I don't like in this game? Well I don't have any particular objection, the only one would be that on higher difficulties game is really difficult, I mean that how it's supposed to be, but sometimes it's impossible, and you have repeat certain part many times, but if you have good players on your team, that's also problem that can be solved.
In conclusion if you're fan of FPS-s and horror games, and zombies, be sure to check this game out, because I find it very entertaining and innovative, you're going to have great fun, especially playing coop with real people.

Battlefield: Veitnam is still a game I play to this day. As a somewhat older game it may not be what some are looking for, there are really no fancy bells and whistles in this game that some might find 'neat' but it still is worth a play or two.Graphics are lacking compared to modern standards but are not so bad that you cannot see or understand what things are. Shadows and water detail are still great, but character models are very limited, leaving the battlefield littered with what looks like an explosion of clones. Some times this makes it hard to tell between friend and foe when you are flying threw the air in a cobra helicopter or something of the same principle.

Game play is very fluid and fun, making this game very addicting to play over and over again. Lots of classes to choose from as well as a great selection of transport or stationary weaponry make it easy to change the tide of the battle in a matter of moments. Each of the classes has their own unique items that help in every aspect of the war. The Americans have the upper hand on the weapon side as far as damage and rate of fire compared to accuracy over the NVA, but the NVA have some pretty neat tricks up their sleeves as well. The NVA can deploy caltrops as well as Bouncing Betty anti-personnel mines, and also the ability to basically "create" quick tunnels from one area to another. And lets not forget all the amazing booby-traps they can set.

Aircraft in this game does have a learning curve but is easily over come after about an hour or so of determined flying. Most land/water based vehicles are very easy to use and command with.

The selection of maps is a little so small for most persons taste, all though if you find one you love you tend to play it over and over again.

Wile by now most people have played this or heard of this game but it is still worth digging it back out and reclaiming Hue one more time. The fact that you can add in up to 63 bots (64 total players including yourself) and still have a nice fluid running game, makes this a must on my list of games to play at my LAN parties.

You return to the role of Sam Fisher, the grizzled covert agent with a perma-squint and just enough stubble to achieve that rogue vibe without looking like a goddamn hippie. Fisher’s story is a dizzying sequence of betrayals and triple-crosses that sends him creeping through enemy outposts around the globe and culminates, like any good terrorist-killing yarn, in a White House siege. The experience is seamless. There are practically no loading screens, and instead of dialogue boxes, text directives are projected onto the environment itself—an effect out of a high-end stage production.

If Conviction were indeed legit theater, it would be an improv show. The game encourages ad-libbing with a panoply of weapons, gadgets, and strategies. Players are unlikely to play any stretch the same way twice. The most notable new tactic is “mark and execute.” If you complete a risky hand-to-hand kill, you gain the one-time ability to tag nearby enemies, and once you’re in position, assassinate them with a 100-percent accurate flurry of gunfire. That’s the marquee feature, but there are other masterful design strokes, like Last Known Position, a silhouette that shows where the bad guys think you are, setting up elaborate cat-and-mouse gambits which are especially rewarding in co-op play.

About the only missteps are the interrogations, all of which follow this sequence: “I’m not telling you anything, Fisher!”—biff! pow!—“Okay, I’ll tell you everything!” The press-B-to-bash-hostage’s-head-into-a-mirror feature must exist to humor the delusions of “enhanced interrogation” proponents, as it’s tedium in practice. In spite of Ubisoft’s pre-release hype, though, the torture scenes are rare and inconsequential; they don’t ruin the game’s tense excitement. Conviction never apologizes for its power fantasies, and most of the time, that works in its favor.

Dead Space 2 is a survival horror third-person shooter. The player controls Isaac Clarke from a third-person point of view, looking over the character's right shoulder. The game features no HUD, relying on holograms projected from the player character and his weapons to show information such as messages and ammunition count, respectively. Player health and stasis are shown by visual indicators on Isaac's back. Isaac must fight an alien organism that infects and takes control of human corpses, turning them into "Necromorphs", mutating their bodies.

The player acquires two modules; a "stasis" module, allowing the player to slow down enemies or objects, allowing for otherwise insurmountable moving obstacles such as active heavy machinery to be slowed down, allowing Isaac to safely pass, and the "kinesis" module, which allows Isaac to manipulate objects and machinery telekinetically.

The player may upgrade their weapons and armor at work benches, using power nodes found throughout the game. In-game stores may be accessed where the player may buy and sell various items and attain new weapons and suits through the acquisition of schematics found throughout the levels. The player encounters zero-G environments, where Isaac is capable of maneuvering with thrusters attached to his suit.

Dead Space 2 offers five difficulty levels; Casual, Normal, Survivalist, Zealot and Hard Core. Hard Core mode is unlocked once the game has been completed. It can only be played from a fresh start and the player is limited to three saves in the entire game, with ammunition, health, supplies and credits being very difficult to find, and enemies are very challenging. There are no checkpoints in this mode.

Chaos and stronghold takeovers expand the factions’ area of influence, which unlocks faction missions and race challenges. Agency missions progress the story, while faction missions are completely optional. Helping one faction does not prevent the player from helping the others.
The artificial intelligence uses a planning system which enables enemies to perform various actions. Enemies can use the environment to their advantage, taking cover behind objects and adapting to the objects around them. Additional elements include vertical gameplay using a grappling hook and parachuting maneuvers and also manual aiming system.
There is also a real-time deformation system and individual components can come loose from vehicles.
Initially, the player must acquire weapons and vehicles in the field. Early in the game, the player encounters a black market supplier, from whom weapons and vehicles can be purchased, with an option to have them delivered to the player’s location via helicopter. As more Chaos is gained, additional weapons, vehicles, and the extraction option become available on the black market. All weapons and vehicles on the black market have parameters that can be upgraded in several steps, by building upgrades with weapon and vehicle components found within the game world. There are over 2,000 parts that the player can acquire.
Notable features of Just Cause 2 include the grappling hook, which gives players the ability to tether objects to each other. There are no limitations to what can be tethered. For example, in a high speed vehicle chase, the player can use the grappling hook to attach a pursuing vehicle to the ground, forcing it to stop and often flipping or turning the vehicle causing damage to it. The grappling hook also allows the player to pull himself, and hold onto objects such as wall or helicopters.
In addition, the player has a parachute which is always ready to be deployed, even if it has been deployed and discarded only moments before. This can be combined with the grappling hook and used as a fast method of transport.
The PlayStation 3 version of the game allows the user to capture video of their gameplay and either export it to the XMB or upload it to YouTube from within the game.

Saints Row: The Third (also known as Saints Row 3) is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Volition, Inc. and published by THQ. It was released on November 15th in Australia and North America, set to be released on November 18th in Europe for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360[5]. It is the third title in the Saints Row series, after the release of Saints Row 2 in 2008.

Plot

Having defeated all their rivals in Stilwater at the end of Saints Row 2, the Saints have turned their street gang into a media empire after merging with the Ultor Corporation. But when they attempt to rob a bank with Josh Birk (an actor who is “researching” his part for the Saints’ movie) in tow, their everyday routine takes an unlikely turn when the bank tellers fight back. The Saints attempt to airlift the vault out of the building, but when Birk sets off the alarm, it alerts the Stilwater P.D. and the Saints are incarcerated.

ABOUT GAME

For those of you who have played older Need For Speed titles, this game will immediately seem very familiar, taking from the visual and play style of titles such as NFS: Underground, Most Wanted and Carbon, as opposed to the more recent simulation style games like NFS: Shift.

Graphics are reasonable too, they are not going to win any awards for best in class, but they are clean and tidy enough to be kind to the eye and not so heavy that a low/mid range pc couldn’t run it. If you’ve played NFS Carbon, you can expect a similar level of detail and graphics here.

EA have gone to the world of MMO’s for inspiration on this one, with a sturdy progression system built into the game, along with a points/money system to help you upgrade your car and obtain game changing power ups such as speed boosts and the ability to turn opponents cars magnetic to attract nearby traffic, or even turn your car into an almost unstoppable juggernaut for smashing through police blockades, traffic and your opponents.

There are nearly 100 cars on offer in NFS: World, all fully licensed and supplying a mixture of Muscle, Tuner and Exotic cars for you to tear around the city streets in, with extensive customisation options and upgrades available throughout the game, meaning even with 100′s of players on the roads you’re not likely to see two cars the same.

Finishing a race with a podium finish unlocks a reward card, you get to select one of five random cards, which when clicked flips over to reveal a prize, which range from power ups, upgrades, extra exp and bonus credits although you can also purchase packs of these prize cards with your Speedboost credits, if you have any of course.

Matchmaking was especially quick with this game, with a great persistent interface at the top of the screen to allow you to jump/search for the nearest available race, or just bring up the map to teleport to any events you have unlocked or to other areas of the map for you to drive around in free play mode.

Driving around in NFS World you can see the large number of other players simultaneously occupying the streets, although you can’t make physical constant with their cars and it can be quite disorientating when someone comes flying through your car after a blind turn. The only time you can make contact with an opponent is in one of the games events and races.

Overall I really enjoyed this game, although it got some mediocre reviews upon it’s release, I’ve had a lot of fun playing it. The old school NFS style is a long term classic, but you either love it or hate it, bear in mind though that little, if anything has changed in terms of the handling physics and general gameplay since some of the games PlayStation 1 roots, which in my opinion is a good thing, but if you’re looking for a fast paced, competitive racer that doesn’t cost a penny to purchase, with a very reasonable size map and lots of content on offer, then you would be mad not to give Need For Speed World a try. Because of the fun I’ve had with this game and how much gameplay I got from it, not to mention the fact I will continue to play it after this review.
