Lindsay Lohan appeared in a Los Angeles court this morning for a brief probation hearing where she was lauded with praise.
The 25-year-old actress, who arrived back just in the nick of time from Hawaii last night, turned up wearing a gaping white cardigan top, which exposed her cleavage, teamed with champagne-coloured trousers and heels.
While her court dates usually see her admonished - today golden girl LiLo was given the thumbs up for completing her probation requirements early over the past month.
Judge Stephanie Sautner - apparently feeling the festive spirit - told Lohan she was pleased with her progress and told her to keep it up.
'You are doing well and I'd like to see it continue,' the Los Angeles Superior Court judge told her.
'The morgue seems to be pleased - as pleased as a morgue can be,' she added.

Lohan will indeed have to show her face again because, as the judge put it: 'She won't complete her probation otherwise,' prompting Lohan to chuckle.
The actress - who features nude in the upcoming issue of Playboy magazine - has been ordered to complete another 12 days of community service and four therapy sessions ahead of her next court date on January 17.
Judge Sautner told Lohan that he recent trip to Hawaii was perfectly acceptable because it was to celebrate her sister Ali's birthday, who turns 18 later this month.

Lohan has progressed ahead of schedule with her community service and was told that she can now travel for pleasure whenever she has completed her 12 days of service she is slated to do per month.

'In any month you complete your twelve days early you can travel for pleasure, to see her family to not see her family - to go to a spa or whatever.
'The holidays are coming up so you can travel to see your family.
'But travel for pleasure or fun is only allowed after you've completed the 12 days.'
Lohan was ordered last month to spend 30 days in jail after she admitted violating her probation in a DUI case and another involving the theft of a necklace from a Venice jewellery store.
Due largely to jail overcrowding, she served only about five hours at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California.

Relief: While Lohan is usually admonished at her court appearances, today was a different matter and the actress could hardly contain her happiness as the Judge Sautner told her to keep up the good work

Lohan admitted she had violated probation by failing to show up for community-service appointments and therapy sessions.
Judge Sautner technically sentenced the actress to 300 days behind bars but only required her to serve 30 days.
The remaining 270 days of the sentence will be stayed as long as Lohan adheres to a specific schedule of community service work and therapy sessions, Sautner ruled.

Included in that schedule was a requirement for her to perform 12 days of community service at the Los Angeles County morgue and attend four psychotherapy sessions prior to today's hearing.
She will now have until Jan 17 to serve another 12 days at the morgue and attend four more therapy sessions.
If she remains on track, Lohan will then have until February 15 to complete another 12 days at the morgue and four more therapy sessions.
After that, she will have until March 29 to perform 17 more days at the morgue and six more therapy sessions.
If Lohan sticks to the schedule, her probation in the 2007 DUI case will terminate at the end of March, and her probation in the Venice theft case will be downgraded to summary, non-supervised probation, Sautner said.
Lohan pleaded no contest May 11 to a misdemeanour grand theft charge involving a necklace priced at $2,500 pilfered from a Venice jewellery store.

She was placed on three years probation and ordered to spend 120 days in jail and complete the 480 hours of community service to which she had been previously sentenced for violating her probation in a 2007 misdemeanour DUI case.
Lohan was ordered to have her 480 hours of community service completed by April 2012, with 360 hours at the Downtown Women's Center and another 120 hours at the county morgue.
However, her attendance was so sporadic at the Skid Row center that shelter officials terminated her from the community-service program there.
That prompted Sautner to revoke the actress' probation. She later ordered that Lohan perform all of her community service work at the morgue.

Since her last court hearing, the Freaky Friday star posed for a much-publicized photo spread in Playboy.

Lohan made news earlier this week when her purse was stolen while she was vacationing in Hawaii - a trip that was previously approved by her probation officer.

Chinese actress Sun Feifei has discovered what the TOWIE girls realised months ago... to receive international recognition, all you need to do is flash a bit of cleavage.
Sadly for the TV star, though, her revelation came as a result of an embarrassing red carpet wardrobe malfunction.
Sun was looking stunning in a floor-length white gown as she posed for photographs on the way into the Esquire Awards in Beijing.

Family and friends fear that a judge's decision to award custody of Britney Spears's two sons to their father, Kevin Federline, will drive her to suicide.
But in keeping with much of her bizarre behaviour of late - the singer's first reaction was to make an trip to the tanning salon.
Britney's mother Lynne Spears is reported to be extremely concerned about the star's mental state, with one source adding: "We are all fearing for Britney and this will be the final straw for her."
Still, it was business as usual for troubled Britney and the first stop on the singer's agenda - after surrendering her boys Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James to their father Kevin's bodyguard - was a tan top up at Epitome, her favourite Bel Air salon.

Then, Britney paid a visit to the Department of Motor Vehicles office in Van Nuys, California, where she finally applied for a driving licence and took a written test.
The singer still has a valid licence in her home state of Louisiana, but since she has been an LA resident for years, she is required by law to get a Californian licence.
Jan Mendoza, information officer at the Department of Motor Vehicles explained: "When you make your home here, or take a job and you want to drive in California, you must apply for a California driver licence within 10 days. Britney is considered an unlicensed driver in California."

Federline's lawyer immediately went to an LA court and on Monday the judge ordered the singer's ex-husband to take charge of Sean Preston, two and one-year-old Jayden James from midday until further notice.

The order from LA County Superior Court judge Scott Gordon comes after Britney, 25, ignored the Commissioner's list of requirements of things she needed to do in order to maintain 50/50 custody.
She has failed to obey any of the other demands laid down by the judge: she didn't meet a drug counsellor; she refused to submit to drug testing; she didn't enrol in parenting classes; and she failed to sign the judge's order.
The judge also banned either parent from taking drugs or drinking up to 12 hours before caring for the boys.
According to celebrity website TMZ, Britney failed to meet any of the judges requirements.
The judge said Federline, an aspiring rapper, was to "retain physical custody of the minor children until further order of the court".

Stumble: Britney nearly drops Sean Preston

Her attorney, Sorrell Trope, told People magazine: "We weren't able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered. Specifically the judge ordered that by 10am Monday morning, both parties show valid California driving licenses. I've been unable to produce evidence of that."
The attorney added that another reason behind the s temporary custody ruling was "a claim by Mr Federline's attorney that she had not complied with a previous order the court had made about having a random drug and alcohol test. There's no evidence that she actually failed a test."
Britney has faced a barrage of criticism over her high-profile lifestyle, including court allegations that she was a "habitual and continuous" user of drink and drugs.
Last month a former aide told a hearing of the extent of Britney's drug abuse.
Her ex-bodyguard Tony Barretto, 27, claimed the singer had overdosed on a mixture of Class A drugs hours before her comeback performance in May and just weeks after leaving rehab.
Mr Barretto said Britney had taken cocaine and crystal meth with fellow troubled U.S. pop star Howie Day - with whom she was rumoured to have had a fling - and was "completely out of it. She was distraught, crying and looked so ill. We thought she was dying."
She later performed in Anaheim, California, but the gig was branded a shambles.
Britney was charged last month for allegedly crashing into a parked car and shortly afterward was seen in floods of tears after taking a drugs test ordered by the court.
The incident followed a disastrous week in which her lawyer and manager quit because they could not cope with her erratic behaviour.

Topless women protest for more toplessness

Two dozen women paraded topless around a city in Maine over the weekend in a bid to promote what they call 'equal-opportunity public toplessness' - and unsurprisingly attracted a large crowd of (mostly male) onlookers.

Organizer Ty MacDowell said the point of Saturday's march in Portland was that a topless woman in public shouldn't attract any more attention than a man who walks around without a shirt.
She added that she was 'amazed and enraged' by the large crowds of men the march attracted - but insists she plans to repeat the protest at a later date.
It's not actually illegal for a woman to be topless in public in Maine, and police said there were no incidents or arrests.

A men-only beauty salon in Tel Aviv staffed entirely by topless women has provoked demonstrations and criticism from a city councillor.

Dozens of women’s rights activists with placards have been protesting outside the Red Puma.

The salon offers male manicures, pedicures and haircuts – while staff wear nothing but thongs.
Tel Aviv councillor Yael Ben Yefet said the demonstrators were specifically protesting against the use of women as sexual objects - saying the salon was 'degrading'.
'The message we have come to put across today is that women and their bodies are not objects,' she said.
'We must stop the shameless and degrading use of women for such aims.'
Ms Ben Yefet added that men being treated by naked women 'constitutes violence'.
'The question of whether they agreed to work in this way is entirely irrelevant,' she added.
Protesters carrying placards were, unsurprisingly, refused entry, so took to standing on a nearby street to show their opposition to the salon.

Signs were also hung around the door to the premises.
The salon owners claim to have been surprised at the level of interest being shown by the media and the public in their establishment.

Madonna will team up with Cirque du Soleil for her performance at the prestigious 2012 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The pop icon will follow in the footsteps of stars including Tom Petty, Sir Paul McCartney, The Who and Bruce Springsteen to headline the big game’s mid-point spectacular.
The Material Girl’s representatives have confirmed the news after months of speculation and revealed Madonna will be working with a creative team from circus group Cirque du Soleil for the performance.
A statement reads, “We are happy to confirm that Madonna will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 5… The Material Girl has partnered with a creative team from Cirque du Soleil, Jamie King, and multimedia artists from Moment Factory, to create a signature performance for the Super Bowl’s Halftime Show, which will be broadcast worldwide.”
Madonna previously agreed to play the Super Bowl in 2000 but was forced to pull out due to a scheduling conflict.
