While I am taking care of all of my children who has had or is having flu, I try to get some of spring at home. Tulips are not my fab flowers, but I buy them because they make me think about my grandmother who really loves them.

Mientras estoy cuidando a mis hijos que han tenido o están teniendo la gripe, he intentado "traer" un poco de primavera en casa. Con los tulipanes, me dá la impresión de que el buen tiempo se acerca y que la luz del día está más presente. SI bien no son mis flores favoritas, me gusta comprarlos porqué me acuerdo mucho de mi abuela a la que quiero mucho y para ella si que son sus flores favoritas!

Hi everyone!! As you must suspect, I have return to Switzerland and we are back to normality!
We had a wonderful time in Spain with our family and friends, and the weather was amazing!
And once I'm home I have plenty of things to do, not so original, don't you think?
But the thing is, that I find myself doing, making, putting order, thinking in new projects, and so on... but, I never find time to come here and say something!
I really try it, but as this is not a commercial blog, and not even a so personal blog, I leave it aside.
I know I need a new camera to make better photos ( and to show you all), I know I have to update my blog roll, and a long etc.
But, I'm here, with my limitations but with my happiness and sincerity! So don't be afraid ( If you were!) I'm not abandoning, I'm just complaining a little bit and justifying my situation.
Even if we are surrounded by snow, I love to contemplate this photo taken the first week of January in Sitges ( Barcelona).

Hola a todas! Como bien podréis sospechar, ya hemos vuelto a Ginebra y bien adaptados a la normalidad.
Hemos pasado unas Navidades maravillosas junto nuestras familias y amigos, y el buen tiempo nos ha acompañado cada día!(algo que cada vez valoro más)
Y de vuelta a casa, como siempre muchas cosas por hacer, no es muy original, no?
Pero la verdad es que me encuentro sometida a un ritmo intenso, casa, familia, trabajo, orden, pero no dedico mucho tiempo para venir aqui y hacer un post. El hecho de que no sea un blog comercial, y ni tan siquiera un blog muy personal, hace que lo vaya dejando de lado y cada vez me dé más pereza dedicarle tiempo.
Sé que necesito una nueva cámara para enseñaros mejor mis cosas, o que hace años que tenía que actualizar la lista de blogs que visito.
Pero aqui estoy, con mis limitaciones y mi alegría y sinceridad! Por lo que no tengáis miedo ( si lo habíais tenido!) no abandono, tan solo me quejo de mi misma en voz alta y justifico un poco la situación ;)
Y aunque ahora mismo esté rodeada de nieve, me gusta seguir contemplando esta foto tomada la primera semana de este mes en Sitges (Barcelona).
Que tengáis una buena semana, nos vemos pronto!

Oh no, I haven't disappeared! I was ( and I am) so occupied helping a friend to organize a big party! ( and yes, I did it again!)
Remember the yellow First Communion Party?( here) The place was the same, but the theme was different. My friend wanted to celebrate her 35th birthday with all of her friends, and the colors chosen were gold and silver!
I had only 2 weeks to organize everything, including some help in the kitchen for about 65 people!
That's why I didn't have time to post about it!
I'm showing you some of the photos I made, and I am sorry I didn't make more, but when you are alone with it, you can't make everything!
Enjoy it!

Pués no, no he desaparecido! Aqui estoy! Como siempre ocupadísima, pero esta vez la "culpa" fué de una amiga mía que me pidió ayuda para una fiesta (otra vez lo hice!).
Os acordáis de la fiesta que organicé para una Primera Comunión (aqui), pués esta amiga quería celebrar a lo grande su cumpleaños, 35, con una fiesta color dorado y plateado y unos 65 invitados! Todo en 2 semanas!
Y encima también cociné... una experiencia maravillosa!
Supongo que entendéis mi ausencia, porqué junto a esto se añade que Navidad se acerca, las idas y venidas al colegio, actividades, comidas, deberes, trabajo.... y un largo etcétera al que muchas de vosotras os sonará!
Aqui os dejo algunas fotos, la verdad, no son muy buenas, pero son testimonio de lo que hice, y a ver si la próxima me organizo mejor y saco mejores instantáneas!

Carrot Cake

Hi everyone!! After an elaborated recipe, here comes an easy one! The carrot cake!

I simply love it, and my kids too. I am sure there are lots of versions of it, but this one with olive oil is so Mediterranean :)

Mix:

1 cup of grated carrot

1 cup of grated apple
1 cup of grated almond

Beat:

4 eggs

1 cup of sugar
and then add
1 cup of olive oil

Add the eggs+sugar+oil to the grated mix

and at last add

1 cup of flour

1 tablespoon of baking power

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Grease a 9'pan and bake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven to 180°.
Dust with confectioners sugar.
Bon appétit!

Y después de una receta elaborada, aqui llega una muy fácil. A mis hijos les encanta el bizcocho de zanahoria, y a mi también! Hay muchas versiones, pero esta receta con aceite de oliva le dá un toque muy mediterráneo!

Mezclar

1 taza de zanahoria rallada
1 taza de manzana rallada
1 tazada de almendra molida

batir

4 huevos
1 taza de azúcar
y añadir 1 taza de aceite de oliva

incorporar a la mezcla de zanahoria+manzana+almendra

y añadir

1 cucharada de levadura en polvo
1 cucharadita de canela
1 cucharadita de vainilla
una pizca de sal

Engrasar con mantequilla un molde redondo desmontable,
llenarlo con la preparación
y cocerlo en el horno (precalentado) a 180° unos 45 minutos.
( comprueba el punto pinchando en el centro con una aguja).
Espolvorear con azúcar glass.
Bon appétit!

Crunchy apple cake

As I promised, I am going to share my recipes. I only have time to share one today, maybe the others will come this week, maybe the other...

Today: Crunchy apple cake

Como os prometí, voy a compartir mis recetas. Empiezo con una, veremos si me dá tiempo de postear las otras esta semana, o la otra....

Hoy toca: Crujiente de manzana.

This is not a complicated recipe, but you must have time and all the ingredients prepared, and a good organization ( This is the key of success).

The cake have 4 layers and these are the ingredients:

1 Cake

100gr brown sugar

50gr grated almond

90gr sugar

3 eggs

90gr flour

Make a caramel sauce with water and sugar, until golden brown.
Add grated almond, bring to the boil and then spread the caramel in a silicon foil.
Let it chill.
Put the caramel in a food processor and mix it to have a powder.
Whisk eggs with sugar and add flour and almond/caramel powder.
Let's bake it for 10 minutes, 180 C. I used a springform pan 9''
This will be our first layer.

2 Apple sauce

5 apples ( peeled and cut)

1dl water

Put the ingredients in a pot.
Cover.
Bring to boil.
Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Let it chill.
Spread the apple sauce on top of the cake.
This will be the second layer.

3 Mousse cheesecake

100gr sugar

1/2 del water

3 egg yolks

4 gelatin leaves
4dl cream

200gr cream cheese

Make a syrup with water and sugar.
Add egg yolks, and bring to the boil.
Add, gelatin leaves (drained).
Let it chill..
Add cream and cream cheese, whip it until whipped.
Spread the mousse on top of the apple sauce, this will be our third layer.
Let chill the cake on the fridge for 4 hours.

4 Shortbread pastry

100gr flour

100gr sugar

100gr grated almond

100gr butter (room temperature)

Mix all the ingredients and make a dough.
Roll out dough and put in the oven, 180C about 10-15 minutes.
Let chill the pastry then crush it.
We will use it on top of the cake, sifted with confectioners sugar.

And that's all girls!!I hope you make it, the result is awesome!! Have a sweet day :)

No es una receta complicada, pero necesitáis bastante tiempo para realizarla. Lo mejor es tener todos los ingredientes preparados y organizaros bien ( Este es el éxito de casi todo!)
El pastel tiene 4 capas, aqui van los ingredientes y los pasos a seguir:

1 Bizcocho

100gr azúcar moreno
50gr almendra molida
90 gr azúcar blanco
3 huevos
90gr de harina

Preparar un caramelo con el azúcar ( vigilar no se os queme!)
Añadir las almendras, esperar a que vuelva a hervir y volcar la mezcla en una hoja de silicona para que se enfrie.
Una vez enfriado triturarlo muy fino.
Batir huevos con el azúcar blanco, añadir la harina y el polvo de caramelo/almendra.
Hornear 10-15 minutos en horno a 180 grados con molde desmontable que tengáis en casa, yo lo hice con uno redondo de 25cm.

Ya tenemos la primera capa.

2 Compota de manzana

5 manzanas peladas y troceadas
1dl de agua

Calentar agua y manzanas en un recipiente unos 20 minutos.
Dejar enfriar, y extender la compota encima del bizcocho una vez frío.
Ya tenemos la seguda capa!

3 Mousse de queso

100gr de azúcar
1/2dl de agua
3 yemas
4 hojas de gelatina
4dl de nata líquida
200gr de queso crema ( tipo Philadelphia)

Prepara un almíbar con el agua y el azúcar.
Añadir las yemas y darle un hervor.
Incorporar las hojas de gelatina (que previamente las habréis puesto en agua fría) bien escurridas, y dejarlo enfriar.
Añadir la nata fría y el queso.
Batir hasta que quede casi montado.
Añadiremos la mousse encima de la compota de manzana y dejaremos enfriar en la nevera 4 horas.
Ya tenemos la tercera capa.

4 Masa sablé

100gr harina
100gr azúcar
100gr almendra molida
100gr mantequilla ( a temperatura ambiente)

Mezclar todos los ingredientes hasta formar una masa.
Extender la masa en una bandeja de horno ( porner hoja de sillicona o papel especial horno con 1 cm de grosor (más o menos)
Hornear unos 10-15 minutos a 180 grados.
Dejar enfriar.
Trocear la masa toscamente.
Añadir encima de la mousse ( mirar la foto)
Y espolvorear con azúcar glass para darle el toque final!!

Fácil o complicado? Os animáis? Que paséis un dulce día!

As most of you know, I work for an NGO. Last month we did some work in the European Parliament. I worked a lot but I had a little time to enjoy Brussels.

Como alguna de vosotras sabéis, trabajo en una ONG. El mes pasado tuvimos que desplazarnos al Parlamento Europeo para trabajar. Fué muy intenso, pero me quedó un poco de tiempo libre para disfrutar de Bruselas.

It's my second time there, and I really like it.
With my job colleagues we discovered places and we had a good time together!
Es la segunda vez que visito Bruselas, y la verdad, me gusta mucho!
Con mis compañeras de trabajo tuvimos la oportunidad de descubrir sitios muy interesantes y de pasar unos buenos momentos.

Hi everyone! Maybe it's too late to ask you how were your vacation? Mine were really well, despite I have almost forgotten!
Times passes quickly and getting used to the new school schedule it takes me a little time.
My children are growing and so their needs ( even If I always thought it was the contrary!) and I have less time to blog. So these are my apologies ;)

Hola a todas!! tal vez sea un poco tarde para preguntaros como fué el verano? El mío muy bien, aunque ya casi me he olvidado!
El tiempo pasa muy deprisa y adaptarse al nuevo horario escolar es todo un reto. Mis hijos están creciendo y también sus necesidades ( auque siempre pensé que era justo lo contrario!), y por lo tanto tengo menos tiempo para pasarme por aqui. Aqui tenéis mis excusas ;)

Marta's 4th birthday

After Maria's Party came Marta's!! I can't believe I made so much parties this year without ending sick :)

Marta is sweet, shy and vain. She's not in the age to choose colors or the theme party, but one thing was clear: Princesses and pink must be there! And this was the first party celebrated with friends.

Después de la fiesta de Maria vino la de Marta!! Todavía no me creo que hubiera hecho tantas fiestas en tan poco tiempo, y no cayera enferma!
Marta es una niña muy dulce, timida y coqueta. No está en edad ni para elegir color, ni el tema de la fiesta, pero una cosa era segura, rosa y princesas tenían que estar presentes! Y esta fué la fiesta, la primera que celebra con sus amiguitos.

And here we go with the party, thanks for waiting!!
I always have the same scenario for our parties, our dining room. It's easy to decorate it, we have white wall color and nothing else decorating it. The main colors in this place are wood and white, so all the colors match well with them. And purple was not an exception.
After showing you the invitation, here is the table and decoration. Enjoy it!!

Siempre hago las fiestas en el mismo lugar, nuestro salón. Al tener la pared blanca y los muebles de madera y blancos, es muy fácil combinar cualquier color. Y el lila, lavanda o como queráis llamarle no fué una excepción.
Después de haberos enseñado la invitación, aqui os dejo con la mesa y la decoración. Disfrutarla!!

Maria's 9th birthday I

And after yellow party comes purple, well, in fact the party was nearly one month ago!
Maria knows what she wants, she doesn't hesitates and she always has an opinion. She chose purple for her birthday party, and this is not a color I really like a lot... But she wanted purple, and nothing else matters.
I proposed her a Spa Party with her closest friends: manicure, pedicure, beauty creams and everything you can imagine in a spa place.
But nothing of these happened ( well, only a fast manicure), Maria turned everything to a wonderful water balloon war in our terrace and all the creams were stocked in our bathroom.... that's my Maria.
They had a terrific time together and the weather was warm and sunny :)
Today I'm showing you the invitation. I didn't create it this time, I used this free printable wedding invitation, turned to a birthday invitation!
And tomorrow, come early, I'll be back with the party photos! Forgive me if I play a little with you... Take care!

Hola chicas! Después del éxito amarillo nos pasamos al lavanda. Hace un mes celebramos la fiesta de Maria. Tengo que deciros que mi hija tiene las ideas bastante claras, y cuando dijo que quería una fiesta de éste color ( que no es uno de mis favoritos), no hubo manera de hacerle cambiar de idea.
Partiendo de ese color le propuse una fiesta-spa con sus amigas: manicura, pedicura, cremas y todo lo que una pueda imaginarse si ha estado en un spa.
Pero nada de ello ocurrió, bueno, si, una manicura hiper rápida y nada más. Por qué todo empezó y terminó en una batalla de globos de agua en bañador!! La verdad es que se lo pasaron genial, y como que hizo bastante calor fué perfecto para mantenerse fresco!
Aqui os dejo con la invitación que hice, bueno esta vez no fuí yo, demasiadas cosas por hacer. Me serví de este sitio en el que puedes hacer invitaciones gratis para bodas, y lo transformé en una invitación para su cumpleaños.
Mañana vuelvo y os enseño el resto!!

A big challenge

Hi Ladies! I'm still here, I'm sorry for this silence but something happened!
Let me explain you why I have been missing because I had a big challenge to be done.
A friend of mine asked me a favor, she wanted me decorating her home and garden for her oldest daughter First Communion Party.
It was a big challenge for different reasons: I had 3 parties to organize between ( my children), I had only 2,5 weeks, there were almost 100 people invited, and the space to decorate was 1000 times bigger than my dining room!
But, when a friend ask you for a favor, who can say no :)
So that's what I did, I'm obviously not explaining all the stress of the process... I hope that looking at these pictures I made would be enough for you to enjoy as much as I did.
And if you ask me If I will do it again, there's no hesitation, I will :)
Next posts, will be my children's birthdays parties, stay tuned! And meanwhile, enjoy the sun!

Hola a todas! Todavía estoy por aqui, siento la ausencia silenciosa, pero algo ocurrió!
Dejarme que os explique porqué estuve ausente: un desafío de grande embergadura me mantuvo muy ocupada.
Una amiga mía me pidió que la ayudara con la decoración de su casa y jardín para la fiesta de la Primera Comunión de su hija. Hasta aqui todo controlable.
El desafío era que tenía que organizarlo todo en muy poco tiempo, 2 semanas y media, por el medio tenía 3 fiestas de cumpleaños de mis hijos, el número de invitados era de casi 100, y el espacio para decorar era como unas 1000 veces más grande que mi salón, que os parece??
Pero cuando una amiga te pide un favor, no se puede decir no :)
Y esto es lo que hice, omito todos los nervios, imprevistos, dificultades.... pero os dejo con las fotos que pude hacer ( ni sé como) y espero que las disfrutéis.
Y si alguién me preguntara si lo volvería hacer, la respuesta es clara y rotunda, si!
Los próximos posts, las fiestas de mis hijos, y mientras aprovechar el sol que finalmente nos sonrie!!

Exhausted and happy is how I felt when the party was over. Marc was so happy and so the guests! So, even if I needed nearly two days to get back into my ordinary life, I would do it again!
Agotada pero feliz, así me sentí una vez la fiesta terminó. Mereció la pena, todo el mundo estuvo contento, principalmente Marc. Si os soy sincera, tardé dos días bien buenos para volver a mi vida ordinaria con normalidad.....

As green was the color chosen by Marc, I used as much as I could in the party.

Tal y como os dije, el color escogido por Marc fué el verde, y procuré utilizarlo lo máximo posible.

I made some sandwiches, lovely wrapped with paper napkin.

Preparé algunos sandwiches envueltos con servilletas de papel ( aqui tengo la suerte de encontrar preciosas)

And all the dishes had a label handwritten by my daughter Maria ( who needs little days font when her handwriting is wonderful!)

Todos los platos llevaban una etiqueta nombrando la comida. La escritura es de mi hija María, quién necesita utilizar la fuente "Little days" cuando la tengo a ella con esta preciosa letra!

And now desserts bar turn!

Y ahora le toca el turno a la barra de los postres! Mmmm que pena que no quedara nada!

Hi everyone! I've come and I am in the middle of various events! The girls team have celebrated their birthdays, and lots of cake have been baked!
Hola a todas! Aqui estoy, liada y en medio de varios acontencimientos! El equipo de las chicas hemos celebrado los cumpleaños, y con ello, hemos horneado varios pasteles!

Marta is turning 4!
Marta ha hecho 4 años!

And now my second child, Marc, is receiving his First Communion on saturday, and we will be celebrating it at home. Family and friends will share with us this special moment.

Y ahora Marc, nuestro segundo hijo, recibirá la Primera Comunión el sábado, y lo celebraremos en casa, con nuestras familias, y nuestros amigos.

And once again Easter is here, and with it children are at home and we are going to Spain. Times passes so quickly!
Before traveling I had something to resolve with our passports. We use them so often, and for different reasons. But not all in the same time.
So, everytime I have to search for one passport, I have to control all of them, and mysteriously, I find it after seeing all the 6 passports we have....
Let me put it this way: I am tired to find the right passport and to getting nervous for that.

Y de nuevo estamos en Semana Santa, los niños en casa, y nos vamos a España. El tiempo pasa volando!
Pero antes de irnos tenía que resolver un asunto con los pasaportes. Los utilizamos bastante y por distintos motivos, pero no todos a la vez.
Cada vez que tengo que buscar el pasaporte de la persona en cuestión, debo controlarlos todos, y por una extraña razón suelo encontrarlo en el último lugar...
Y dejarme que os diga: estoy "cansada" de que siempre suceda así, y de que me ponga nerviosa por ello ( pq casi siempre hay prisas para tenerlo rápido...)

I needed to find a way to change that, and I did! I cover each passport in order to distinguish easily! ( and the children helped)
Por lo que se me ocurrió forrar cada uno de los pasaportes para distinguirlos y facilitar asi la tarea! ( y los niños ayudaron)

Believe it or not this post was made two weeks ago, but I don't know what I did that It disappear it... blogger mysteries....
Lo creáis o no este post estaba preparado para la semana pasada, pero misterios de Blogger, desapareció y no tuve tiempo de rehacerlo antes....

Let's redo it again! Hagámoslo otra vez!

As you know, tins and cans can be reused for different purposes. You can find lovely projects in Pinterest.
I did one here for my summer party last year, but I haven't redone it again for one main reason: I don't like the sharpen border on the top of it. You can cut yourself easily.
But I've spend some time thinking about it and how to rearrange this small problem. And I got the clue! Let me share it with you!

Como bien sabréis las latas de conserva dan mucho juego, y se pueden utilizar para distintos propósitos. Podéis encontrar maravillas si os dáis una vuelta por Pinterest.
Yo ya las utilicé el año pasado para la fiesta que hice en verano, podéis verlo aqui. Pero no lo he vuelto a hacer por un motivo: si no vigilas te puedes cortar fácilmente con el borde interior de la lata.
Pero como que me gustan tanto, he dedicado bastante tiempo para ver si encontraba una solución, y asi lo hice! Dejarme que lo comparta con vosotras!

These are the materials you will need/Materiales que necesitaréis

tin, hot glue gun, paint and paintbrush/ lata, pistola de pegamento caliente, pintura y pincel

The tip is really easy! Just put hot glue all around the sharpen line
Como os podéis imaginar es muy fácil! El truco está en añadir el pegamento caliente alrededor del filo!

Let it dry and then paint it with your favorite color! That's all!
Dejarlo secar y después pintarlo con vuestro color favorito! Eso es todo!

and it's ready to be used!!
Y listo para utilizarlo!!

February has been a baking special month. Since the weather wasn't mild, we invited lots of friends to spend sundays afternoons together. And so, the children loves mum's cakes, and mum bakes one cake after the other....

Febrero ha sido un mes en el que he horneado muchos bizcochos! Será porqué hizo mal tiempo y invitamos a muchos amigos, o porqué siempre encuentro una excusa para hacerlo.....
Lo malo es que los niños se están empezando a acostumbrar y empiezan a "exigir" que haga más!

Marc's Harley Davidson party

Marc is getting older, and so his tastes. He's a sweet boy, a real one, who loves soccer and motorbikes, especially Harley Davidson ones.

So, his 10th birthday party was about that.

My first impression was like we were in Halloween, but then I begin to love it more than the first time.

Remember I am not a party planner, I am just a mother who enjoys celebrating parties at home, but not formally. And that means that not everything is perfect as you see as in many parties celebrated at home. But it just my way, and I enjoy it!

Orange, black and white, the colors I was able to use, and that's what I did!

Marc se hace mayor, y sus gustos también. Es un niño muy dulce, pero un chico de verdad, al que le gustan el fútbol y las motos, en especial, las Harley Davidson.

Por lo que en su 10 aniversario decidimos celebrarlo alrededor de ésta tématica.

Mi primera impresión fué como si estuvieramos celebrando Halloween, los colores por lo menos prestaban a ello. Pero poco a poco le fui dando forma a la fiesta, para que sin quedar muy recargada, pudiera verse bien los colores naranja-negro y blanco.

Recordad que no soy ninguna "party planner", tan solo una madre que le encanta celebrar fiestas en casa! Os lo digo, porqué veréis que no hay ni tantas cosas, ni es tan perfecta como en la mayoría de fiestas que vemos por la red. Pero esta es mi manera de celebralo, y asi disfruto!

The invitations, home made, were a big challenge.I wanted to change "Motor cycles" in the Harley Davidson logo for his name, and girls, I had a big time with Photoshop! But I think It worked :)

Aqui tenemos la invitación, quise cambiar "Motor Cycles" del logo de Harley Davidson por el nombre y apellido, y chicas, os aseguro que pasé un buen rato en Photoshop!

Since I had not washi tape, fabric tape or whatever orange tape, I used insulating tape!! And it worked!!

Al no tener ningún celo japonés a mano de color naranja, encontré una cinta aislante del mismo color, y creo que dá el pego, no?

y como una etiqueta en la tarjeta

I made some garlands, well, lots of them, designing and cutting the Harley Davidson's logo in a thick paper and then I put some scotch tape in the back of the label.

También hice la decoración en la pared, cortando en negro y naranja el logo de Harley Davidson (papel cartulina) y pegandolo a un hilo transparente con cinta adhesiva. Una guirnalda de color naranja, y dos lamparitas del mismo color terminaban la decoración.

This wall decoration would be later the photocall for Marc and his friends photos!

La pared nos sirvió de fondo para hacer fotos las fotos de Marc con sus amigos!

Hi girls!! I'm still here! Getting back to normality and trying to have time for everything!
I'm coming slowly, improving my blog, baking lots of cakes, crafting and thinking about all of my family and friends I left in Spain weeks ago.

Hola chicas!! Todavía estoy por aquí! Tratando de retomar mi rutina y de organizarme para tener tiempo para todo!
Llego despacio, mejorando el blog ( pronto cambios, o eso espero), horneando muchos bizcochos, bricoleando y pensando en toda la familia y amigos que dejé en España.

Christmas glitter ornament

Well, well, Christmas is coming soon! Are you ready? Me not, but anyway I think that I always have the same feeling... maybe we tend to do too much things in a short period of time....
Last year I wanted to show you how I did a glitter ornament for my Christmas tree, but I didn't.
So, this year I've better organized myself, and here you have this DIY.

Bueno, bueno, la Navidad ya se acerca, estáis preparadas? La verdad yo no, pero es igual, creo que siempre tengo el mismo sentimiento en estas fechas... tal vez es que queremos hacer mucho en muy poco tiempo...
El año pasado quise enseñaros como hice un adorno para el árbol de Navidad, pero no pude. Este año me he organizado un poco mejor, y aqui os traigo un nuevo tutorial, y el último del año.

The more important item to have is this kind of thick paper adhesive for one side. I have find it in Geneva, but I have no idea the name of it. Just search in your nearest stationary shop!

Lo más importante para hacer este adorno es encontrar un tipo de papel específico, un poco gordito, y autoadhesivo por un lado. Yo lo he encontrado aqui en Ginebra, pero no sé ni como se llama... Buscar en vuestra papelería favorita!

These are the materials you will need/ Materiales que necesitaréis:

First, take your favorite cup and draw around it with a pencil/ Tomar vuestra taza favorita y trazar con un lapiz alredor de ella en el papel

Cut/ Cortar

Begin with the form you will like to see, last year I made a heart, this year I'm choosing a chevron style. So, just draw with a pencil helped by a ruler.

Dibujar la forma que os gustaría ver, este año me decidí por el estilo chevron. Me ayudé de una regla y de un lápiz.

Make a hole in the top of the circle / Con la ayuda de un troquel, hacer un agujero en la parte de arriba ( permitirá después pasar una cinta para que se pueda colgar)

Cut with the cutter, and remove the paper/ Cortar con un cutter lo que se ha dibujado, y retirar el papel

Apply the glitter ( golden one), and stick it with the help of your fingers

Añadir la purpurina ( en este caso dorada) , con una cuchara y con la punta de los dedos ir fijandola

First impression is always gorgeous! La primera impresión es siempre bonita!

Do it with the other glitter ( red one), remove the paper before

Retirar el papel que queda y aplicar la otra purpurina ( en este caso roja)

Ta da!! Ta-chán!!

Lavender clothespin

So here I am again with another easy DIY. Have you ever had moth in your wardrobe? I did find it two weeks ago when I was changing summer for winter clothes. I must say I was not really happy and a little disappointed because of the stuff I bought to prevent, it didn't work at all!
Hola chicas, aqui estoy otra vez con un nuevo tutorial! Habéis tenido alguna vez polilla en el armario? Yo nunca hasta hace dos semanas, cuando me encontraba en pleno cambio de ropa de verano a invierno y lo descubrí. La verdad es que no me puse nada contenta, y menos cuando vi que lo que había comprado para evitarla, no había funcionado!

And this time I wanted an direct and functional solution, that's why I made some lavender clothespin to avoid moth again. Because lavender is not moth friendly, or I hope so!
Por lo que esta vez me decidí a hacer algo para atacar, o prevenir otra vez la polilla. Con unas pinzas de madera, un poco de esencia de lavanda y una cinta bonita, y listo para el armario!

Easy, easy and so affordable! You will need:
Muy, muy fácil y económico! Necesitaréis:

Put the wood clothespins into the dish and drop the lavender essential oil to the entirely clothespin.
Poner las pinzas en el plato e impregnarlas de aceite de lavanda.

Let them dry a little bit.
Cut a lovely trim, make a bow and tie it to the clothespin.
Hang the clothespin in your wardrobe rail or just place it next to your cashmere or wood sweater.

Dejar que sequen un poco, cortar una cinta que os guste, hacer un lazo y unirlo a la pinza.
Colgar la pinza en el armario, o ponerlo directamente al lado de los jerseys de lana o cashmere, pero evitando que entre en contacto directo ya que podría dañarlos.

Our guest bathroom- chapter 3

I think this is the best part, don't you think? Please, do not expect big changes, unfortunately I was not able to do that!
My point of beginning was the blue/green color of the upper tiles. At first sight, I found them horrible, but then I move forward and I began to find some items that would match with that color.

Esta es la mejor parte, no? Gracias por vuestra espera! Pero por favor, no esperéis grandes cambios, desafortunadamente no podemos hacer lo que realmente nos gustaría y nos hemos tenido que contentar con detalles.
Mi punto de partida fué el color azul/verde/turquesa de las baldosas superiores. La primera vez que las ví me parecieron horrorosas, pero después me hice la idea que no podía modificarlo, y busqué algún detalle que pudiera combinar.

And I found this lovely green turquoise pottery flower vase

Y encontré este precioso vaso florero de color verde turquesa

And a hand wash from Baylis and Harding

Y un jabón líquido de Baylis and Harding con los mismos tonos

With a good piece of fabric I made a sink skirt

Con una tela bonita que compré, hice un faldón, le cosí un velcro adhesivo y lo pegué directamente en el lavabo

I put some birds frames to match with everything, on the radiator ( need to better center the right frame...) which you saw them before in my last craft room, here

Encima del radiador puse unos cuadros con pájaros que ya habéis visto en una ocasión en mi antigua habitación aqui

On top of the toilet I hung a flower painting

Encima del wáter colgué un cuadro con motivo floral

I sew a white linen curtain and hung it with a twist and fit rod into the window

Cosí un trozo de tela de lino blanco y la colgué con una barra de presión en la ventana

The dark lines have disappeared, some items match with the upper tiles color, an easy sink skirt with a lovely fabric is sewed, and some frames are hung.

Las líneas oscuras de las baldosas han desaparecido, algunos detalles combinan con el color turquesa de las baldosas superiores, una tela bonita cubre la parte de abajo del lavabo y unifica los colores, y algunos cuadros están colgados.

The changes are so limited, no way to do big work here, but you will judge for yourself when you see what I did. This is our guest bathroom:

Los cambios son mínimos ya que no podemos hacer grande obra en la casa para poder modificar realmente lo que quisieramos..... Aqui tenéis nuestro cuarto de baño de invitados:

on the right hand/parte derecha

in front of the door/delante de la puerta de entrada

on the left hand/parte izquierda

The first thing we did was to change the toilet seat cover, turned from black to white ( sorry for the open seat in black version,....)
Lo primero que hicimos fué cambiar la tapa del wáter, pasó de color negro a blanco ( siento que esté abierta en la versión tapa negra....)

Then I wanted to clean that dark lines between tiles. They made the bathroom uglier!
Lo siguiente, aparte de limpiarlo meticulosamente, fué hacer desaparecer esas lineas oscuras que afean tanto la pared y las baldosas!

And then I begun with the decoration. But this will be in the next chapter! See you tomorrow!!
Y con todo limpio, empecé con la decoración, pero bueno, eso será mañana!!!
