I could see why hikers put this hike on their bucket list. The view was amazing!

The watch tower. <<<Click that link.

We made it in and had to hike the rest of the way.

James and Maddie taking in the view.

Taking pics with their iphones.

Maddie saying, "Come on Mom." FYI... heights and I do NOT get along.

The above image is where I turned around to wait at the car.

Back on the road to the next stop. How about a selfie?

Next hike? Frazier Falls!

Arrived at the falls as the sun was going down. Decided to capture the falls with low iso and a slow shutter speed with tripod.

The view from the Buttes Resort.

Our cabin was adorable and could sleep four comfortably. It was $130 a night with a two night minimum. Here is a link to the resort. http://www.buttesresort.com/

Above image is the cafe next door! YOU MUST eat there! It was delicious!

View from Main Street.

Small mountain towns have this awesome mountain vibe!

2016-08-23T14:26:00.000-07:00

This is darling little "C". His name really isn't C! I just do that for the blog!

I had his Mom add hair gel to his style ;-) He wasn't sure what to make of it at first ;-)

He is two years old and quite the little star!

Rocking his hair style now ;-) We used his Grandpas wood pile as a background.

He says... "Yes! I know i'm cute!"

"You talking to me lady?"

"You want me to smile??? I'm TWO!"

"How about this for a smile?"

"Ummmm... CHEESE!"

"Hey camera lady... How about this?"

"I am just TOO (Two) *wink* ADORABLE!!!

"How about my fingers by my mouth?"

"Or like... YO-YO- WUZ UP?" *wink*

These pics make me laugh!

Yummy iced tea! Opps... spilt on the shirt ;-)

"Ummmm.... Let me think" ;-)

"I'm still thinking" ;-)

"How's this lady?"

"You talkin' to ME???"

*** Photo Shooting With My Fourteen Year Old Daughter"

2016-08-22T20:16:00.000-07:00

My youngest daughter and I recently took a road trip to Oregon to visit my BFF of 32 years. We planned to stay for a few days and then depart to photo - trip home ;-) We had a wonderful time! It was pretty amazing to watch her load a film camera and capture images. I was almost completely hands on with her! I did sneak a few digital images in ;-) As we were driving home, we came upon Lake Shasta. I heard her say, "Mom... pull off at that road stop! Look at that view!" I was thinking... Oh dear... This is going to be a long drive home! It was! It took us TWELVE hours! It should have only been six ;-)

The top three images are of Mount Shasta.

SEE!!!! Film is not dead ;-) Maddie was shooting B&W!

The above image and image below are of a waterfall we found. We did a little hiking on our way home as well.

I think the above image was roll three! Easy there Maddie! ;-)

Top two images were captured at Lake Shasta.

I had to sneak the image above. She is like me! We are both a little camera shy in front of the camera.

The shadow on the stairs above was her idea! "Look Mom! That is very cool!" The next female version of Ansel Adams? Maybe! ;-)

Shasta was really beautiful! It was so hot! Wished we could have gone for a swim! No swimming when you have a budding photographer in tow! Could not entice her with jumping in at all! She was busy... creating art ;-)

The top four images we found on our way home as well. We ventured off of the highway to find interesting farms. We found beautiful antique farm equipment.

The top image just sums up our time together creating art! I had to sneak that image of her as well ;-)

* N & T are having a baby! *

2016-08-17T13:35:00.000-07:00

What a fabulous time this past Sunday! Had a blast with N & T ;-) Below are just a FEW of their session images ;-) Enjoy!

A fun whimsical outtake above ;-) I LOVE the sun sparkle on her baby bump :-)

The water images are my favorite!

I love the sun sparkles on the water above as well ;-)

I am ordering the above image as a metal print for my studio ;-) What a beautiful Mommy!!!

Outtake image above BUT... Love him helping his babies across the river!

When My children asked me to get them tickets to see the Plain White T's I said, "Sure! Can I bring my camera? I LOVE everything about concert photography! I love the colors, the music and the vibe. To hear the sound of your shutter click to the sound of music is something I cannot even begin to express! We were row five when I took these pics. Wished I had the ability to get different angles but when you are in one place... in a seat... you work with what you've got ;-)

I Fly With Eyefi

2015-07-22T14:23:00.002-07:00

Due to the buzz I heard about the eyefi SD card, I knew I had to get my hands on one. It is a revolutionary product! It allows the photographer to shoot untethered; sending their images to an iphone, ipad, laptop or desktop computer. REMOTE VIEWING! Cool right? ONE HUNDRED PERCENT! Instant viewing gratification! The only downside? Loading the card into lightroom takes far too long! Do I still think the load time is worth it? ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT!! ;-)

Hello Fly! Let's play!

50mm lens with 36mm kenko extension

My... what BIG eyes you have!

Ohhhhh... the color and detail!

Lunch time captured! Yummy nectar!

Grab your eyefi fellow photographers and FLY!

Day One: Arrival Day / Let's Go For A Hike

I love this flower! This was the first plant on our hike in Colorado Springs. The buds look like stars. How very cool! It was as if Colorado Springs was welcoming the Fisher family from Texas!

Well hello there gorgeous flora! Let's play with light!

The Daddy Long Leg stopped to pose as well :-) I LOVE macro!

This Daddy JUST wanted to hike however, our daughters were literally pausing every step to take a photograph.

Back hiking.

Well.... that did not last long! My eldest stops again to direct!

We stayed at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. It was absolutely beautiful and relaxing!

Wide angle macro image created with a yongnuo flash / lightsphere with amber dome at high speed sync.

LOVE this macro image of this bee. The wings are what I love! Shot with a canon 100mm lens.

Day Two: The Zoo

View from the top of the Cheyenne zoo.

You could feed and touch the giraffes. By far the best zoo we have ever been to!

This Sloth was hanging out in a tree over a walkway. No cage. We had never seen a sloth before in person. Such a highlight!

The meerkats are always a favorite! They are such cute little posers!

Back to the sloth. Patiently waiting for it to poke its face out.

It did! For ONE shot!

Now back to the meerkats.

The wallabies were in an enclosed area however you could walk right up to them.

View of the hotel from the zoo.

How about a family portrait with the focus only on the baby? ;-)

This proud new daddy gazes lovingly at his wife and baby!

Hello baby Orangutan! We LOVE you! What an amazing sight to see! Welcome to the world sweet baby!

Twinkie Visits Texas Day Three

2015-04-28T20:42:00.000-07:00

Twinkie... Twinkie... Little Star models this dress from Petsmart. Would it be an easy decision or a "Ruff" decision to include your pet in your wedding day? Some couples include their beloved fur family! Where would you look for attire? This dress is the Top Paw Wedding Dress & Veil. It was purchased in the store.

Various online sources are out there as well. Here is a cute one: Pampered Puppy

Twinkie is adorable! When I renew my vows... Twinkie will be right there too!

Twinkie smiles on command ;-) No not really! She was eating a treat ;-)
