PICTURE FRAME NECKLACE HOLDER!

2013-07-20T21:47:00.002+01:00

Hello there! sorry I haven't done a good post in a while!

I've been meaning to do this one for a while now!

I have Loads of jewellery! I needed somewhere I can access it very easily otherwise I wont wear it !

so I got all creative.. somewhere I had seen this done before, a picture frame used as a hanging thing!

NECKLACE HOLDER!

Heres what I did!

I got a white mirror from B&M's store and took the mirror out

Next I painted the frame natural hessian (off white)

let it dry then I needed to decide how I was going to hang necklaces from this.

I found some wood in the garden,

we had some left over from the wardrobe me and my dad built in my room XD!

Next I measured how long I would need this thin pice of wood

by slotting it in the ridge where the mirror sat.

sawed the wood in half then I used a hammer to bang in some small nails evenly spaced out. my necklaces would sit and hang from the nails.

Now the fixing part,

I used my dads glue gun to glue it to the frame sitting in the ridge where the mirror would have sat.

let this dry and then decided I wanted to pick out the detail in the frame so I grabbed my black nail art pen and started to paint on top of the pattern.

this took ... forever!!!!!!!! ... its still not finished...

Here it is on my wall!

This is the wardrobe me and my dad built!

one side of it

it now has 2 hanging rails YAY! XD

Hope you have enjoyed this post!

get your creative juices flowing! XD!

MY New York buys!!!!!

2013-06-14T15:52:00.002+01:00

As you may or may not know I've just came back from a weeks holiday in NY with my mum!

My First time to America!

It was so amazing I loved it there, everyone was so nice, helpful and I got loads of compliments on my hair! I stayed on street very close to Macys. We shopped, we walked and we did tourist things!
If you go TAKE COMFY TRAINERS!!!! We walked pretty much everywhere!

Shopping in New York.

I didn't go to many shops at all but the ones I did I loved! Especially SEPHORA

We have nothing like this in the UK

To describe this I would Say it's like

Debinams makeup counters but layed out differently.

It's amazing, they had Lancôme,urban decay, smash box, bare minerals so much more! Also had a nail section perfume section and skin care section!

I looked at the makeup nails and skin care. In this shop there is a sample of every product on the shelf! EVERYTHING tan, nail varnish, any makeup, face cleanser ... Even some brushes where out so you could touch them!

This to me was so amazing and to top it off there were NO snobby stuck up bitches who looked down at you or made you feel like you shouldn't be there! In their place was helpful, polite people who Are not afraid to compliment you and help you out.
Such good customer service.
The UK sucks as this. Most people end up being pushy and make u buy things.

How did I shop in there?

I walked around tried on everything and anything I wanted, with no one giving me bad looks.
I enjoyed every second of it. In their nail section you can just stand there and paint your nails whatever colour you like from whatever brand you like! With having covered my face and nails I decided oh I'd like to try a different lipstick, so I look at the side of the counter and there is sanitizer, makeup remover, sponges, q tips, cotton pads. Off the lipstick goes on goes another one!

Walk around the shop a few more times and decide I love it coz it stayed on so I buy it!

Here's what I got!

5 minute whitening gel! and St Tropez tanning moose

I got these because I saw kandee Johnsons video about them I trust her opinion and reviews as I can see her using it and it works!

Lancome Mascara, Urban decay lipgloss, Noir Tease from victoria secrets

blue denim wash Shorts and tropical print dress from Forever 21

Crazy Top cant remember where I got it

And this cute top from a shop called Rainbow

Bright pink bra top from PINK in Victoria Secret

Hope you have enjoyed this post!

Shopping Spree Special!

2013-02-19T19:09:00.002+00:00

Yes ... I've been doing what I do best ... spending MONEY!

Ok so lets start with what I got when I went to london, to go to the Motel sale.

click on the pictures to see the link where I got it! or where you can get it!

< I love this dress, the colours match with my hair & its so pretty!

I got this playsuit > because I also have the same one in a different pattern, its so comfy, I cant wait till its warmer so I can wear it!

<Blue and white Stripe Shorts I just had to buy! There so cute and will be perfect in summer.

I had a Gift voucher so I had to make up the price so I brought some lipcote! never really heard of it but it sounded good! I have used it once, tasted strange will have to use it more!

I fell in love with this dress the moment they released the collection on the site, I just had to have it!

I have Decided to allow myself to be more 50's/rockabilly/pin-up

I have always love the style, but growing up I just thought it would be too expensive

to buy this style of clothing. I decided to search for the cheapest deals & see what I could do =]

I got this sexy halter neck from the Collectif shop in camden

And this jumper is from ebay but originally from Collectif

as you may have realised I LOVE leopardprint! so this was a must have!

I've wanted turquoise hair for years but its a very hard colour to get right

so I got a wig to save me the effort & dammage to my hair!

I searched for days to get the perfect one for me.

This is not it =[

unfortunately the one I wanted had a defect so they couldn't send it.

I chose this one instead, it was as close the the perfect one as I could get.

never the less I still love it to bits! Its SO LONG!

I have cut the fringe so its perfect for me & I added some layers

I've Been seeing these spike hats around and I just had to get one!

I looked on ebay and found a cheap deal

This V neck mesh top is so sexy I had a pink one but the V didnt go all the way down.

I decided to get this one. Its just the right amount of sexy!

River Island

Spike necklace this is so cool! lots of bling and spikes best combo!

Primark

Bum bag/Fanny pack! I had to get one of these its so stylish!

I'm going to New york I'n May and I figured this would be good to use for my trip!

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed this post!

much love!

Instagram Monthly & 50's Outfit post!

2013-02-05T17:24:00.000+00:00

Sorry its late!

Heres Instagram Monthly

& an outfit post!

Enjoy x

This picture just totally amazed me ! I love it!

Some very lush pictures there =]!

Now I really wanted to share this outfit with everyone

please tell me what you think!

I went to Camden in london the other day & got this dress it was £25 .. I should have asked for £20 because it was from the market and not a branded dress, but oh well!

It was screaming buy me! The colour is lush, its so me! <3

I have teamed it with with a dark Blue polkadot silk bandana from Primark

I didn't have a light blue one to match,

I did my makeup classic to match the 50's style:

eyeliner with a flick, red lips and filled in my eyebrows.

For the lips I used a lip stain this is so good for this look as it stayed on for ages!

My Hair:

I put my hair in a high ponytail, curled the ends

then I curled my fringe under and flicked it back on itself

added the bandana, took my hair out of the ponytail and let it fall to the side.

LONDON! warning contains amazing pictures!

2012-12-09T23:09:00.000+00:00

I dont often go to london,

I went the other day because Motel Rocks had a sample sale thing going on,

I thought id give myself something different to do!

mother came with me... coz I cant do london on my own ... id get lost!

Heres what I wore

This is me at the Motel sample sale

never been to one before, It was not amazing..

had to get changed infront of everyone coz there was no changing rooms...

but I had shorts on under my skirt and left my top on so I didn't mind as much

I Brought a dress (wearing in a pic below) & a bright blue playsuit!
I may show them in another post.

After the Motel sale me & my mother went to lunch,

we both had a panini, then we went to Harrods!

wow

Harrods.

window displays ... WOW, these are the window displays I did not take these

After being totally amazed by the window displays we went in!

I smelt Chanel No.5 for the first time!

was not what I expected, it was a very nice smell..girly, but not in your face at all.

Opposite the Chanel stand was Lady gaga's perfume I also had not smelt that so I gave it a go!

Again not what I expected it was really nice! I really liked it!

Harrods is so big we had to get a map ..

I just wanted to be a big kid and look at the disney section and all the toys!

... so I did haha

You may note im not wearing the same thing

I wanted to change into my new dress, went to the very lush ladies room to change!

It was so fun looking at all these beautiful things =]

I hope you have enjoyed these wonderful pictures!

thanks for looking!

VOLUME I WANT VOLUME!

2012-12-04T13:41:00.000+00:00

You may or may not know ..

My hair is

VERY THIN, FINE & STRAIGHT

If your thinking ... OMG I WISH I HAD THAT!

then I kindly ask you to not read as this post is not for you.

Back to my hair:
It really gets me down... I have a long face and with long straight hair this makes it look longer
as a stylist I know what hair I need but I dont want it.
(short hair a graduated bob would be best to make it thicker )

So what the hell do I do?
well I have some ways
For a start I have a thick block fringe, this covers my MASSIVE 4head and makes my face look more oval shaped.

I dont layer any bit of my hair passed my ear towards my face accept the graduation at the front
this is because my graduation is slightly messed up but its ok coz having shorter bits around my neck make my face look better. Also this section of hair is thinner than the rest of your hair as your scalp finishes at ur ear and the back of your scalp goes down ur neck. If I did layer this id have super thin hair at the front and it would also be shorter than the rest of my hair.

I WANT VOLUME
Here is what I have tried:

The best thing so far is having my hair...
Set In Rollers
this will last up to 3 days

It takes allot of time and effort to put in rollers let them dry and then style it
but if ur going somewhere nice or just really fed up of ur slick hair its the way to go!

(please feel no shame in asking for a set at the salon, all the celebs are doing it)

TIP
With the set when its all done, I back comb all my hair at the root getting it massive(so you look ridiculous and scary) then spray but not too much, then lightly comb HALF WAY down
your hair will always drop by the time u get out. so dont think ur hair is too big coz if its not it will just be flat when you get to that spesh place. then If want to il straighten the front and the ends or I will put my hair up to the side and add more curls and sometimes extensions

Heated Rollers
To be very honest with you .. they dont work on my hair
I got the biggest set of rollers I could find from the wholesalers (with lots of rollers in/all sizes)
did it a few times .. just sliped right out =[ very upset<
id only use them if I was in a rush and wanted it to last a few hrs
found them really hard to put in as-well.

Curling Tongs
They wont give you volume by curling but will add some body!
we all know its takes a while.. curling works on my hair but always slipes out quick

TIP
Do tight curls so when it drops it will be the look you want. curl away from face makes hair look thicker.

Back-combing (on its own)
yep im a fan of the scene kid look (lion mane)
used to do it allot
so much effort and arm ache takes forever for me to get exact shape I want
always goes flat in my hair VERY QUICK
if ur willing to touch it up every 15 mins then go ahead

TIP
Better done when hair has been blow-dried with volume.

Crimping
ok this is the second BEST thing i've found
You have to not care that your hair is a frizzy afro

I LOVE IT! my hair is BIG and THICK!
takes a very long time but so worth it!
stays in for few days!

TIP
Can make it even bigger with back-combing that will stay in coz its frizzy
got the REALLY old babylis crimper has 3 different crimps and a flat plate for straightening
i use it on the 2nd smallest.

Waving
using a waver
slightly quicker than curling
not much volume but you get thicker looking hair and width

TIP
Start at eye level or just below.

Blowdrying

with a big round brush ... way to much effort for ones self!

(let your hairdresser do this for you!)

cant really get the right angle to do it, takes to much effort and time

will work if you can put up with doing it.

lots of ways to do it .. look it up on youtube .. I did =]

Extensions and Weaves
Had a weave from the person nextdoor.
HURT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but looked SO LUSH! hurts when you sleep, is tight for quite a while
really not worth the money or pain, didn't last that long either
not really meant for us white girls!

Extensions
thickness YES! not much effort, bit of money will last YEARS if u look after them !

volume ?

YES! I found this AMAZING hair pice! Expensive yes but ticked ALL my boxes.
CLICK HERE! to see the product im talking about !
LOVE everything about it, gives SO MUCH thickness slight curl <3
VOLUME coz its so thick and has wire in the top so you can push it higher for more height
I love this so much here is a vid on it!

If you go out allot and or always want to look your best ever then this is for you!
I dont wear mine allot but when I do I feel like the best, sexy, happy, confident, like a celeb
when I feel down I just pop it on and feel FAB!

TIP
Look on fb and ebay for cheaper ones and discount! wear with extensions for an EPIC look!

So thats what I have tried to get the hair I want.
I was thinking about trying a Hot Air Brush....Has anyone tried this? will it give me volume?
could you tell me what you think about them? Im hoping that it will be easy to do my hair with.

Hope you have picked up a few useful things from this post!
