Recently, the North Korean Leader, Kim Jong Il died at the age of 69 from a heart attack. . Many Korean families are either celebrating at the fact he's dead, or they have been crying because he's dead. However, what does this mean for the rest of the world? Will we now have one Korea? Will the nuclear weapons be disassembled? What's next? Stay tuned ;)

In Japan, a devastating combination of disasters struck Japan one after another. It began with an trembling earthquake, and then after a tsunami to follow to cause more destruction. After nuclear plants were destroyed, and now it may cause some hidden cancers. The ordinary rate of cancer is so high, and our understanding of the effects of radiation exposure so limited, that any increase in cases from the Fukushima nuclear plant disaster might just be undetectable. Cancers caused by the radiation may be too few to show up in large population studies that could mean thousands of cancers under the radar in a study of millions of people, or it could be virtually none. The effect so far is unclear. "The two million residents of Fukushima Prefecture, targeted in the new, 30-year survey, probably got too little radiation to have a noticeable effect on cancer rates", said Seiji Yasumura.

Alright so it was only a matter of time before this showed up, and Breaking Dawn certainly started off with a bang! According to studio data, the new movie had made approximately $139.5 million dollars, but the movie is behind New Moon with a smashing $142.8 million. The money made internationally though was just as strong. In three days, the movie grossed $144 million in 54 territories which gave it a worldwide box office total of $283.5 million. The movie cost about $110 million to make, after tax rebates.

Fabio Capello, the England soccer manager, has a lot on his mind. Fabio has to consider which of his players are serving a ban or injured and which specific newspapers hate him. Because of those reasons, he will be missing his son's wedding day for a match against the world champions.

Honestly, this may be the only time your son gets married and you choose a championship over him? I don't understand. Who is more important? I guess I see how strong their relationship is... In the end, karma will do its job. Also to Pierfilippo I wish you a wonderful, long, and happy marriage! I hope your father in the last minute will come see you get married. I know it's a very special, important, and enchanting moment in your life. :)

Tokyo now has a gigantic flood prevention system which has drawn many tourists to come by and see it for themselves. The Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel, also known as the G-Cans Project or the "Underground Temple", is an subterranean water infrastructure project. It was built built to protect the capital Tokyo against floods. It is supposedly the largest of its kind.

The system consists of five concrete silos, a large water tanks, and 59 pillars connected to a number of pumps that can pump up to 200 tons of water into the Edogawa River per second! It as well as a location for movies, TV shows and commercials.

As basketball fans know there has been a lockout. I myself a huge fan of the game is still waiting for it to end, but now there might not even be a 2011-2012 season.

David Stern came out of negotiations with the player reps and mediator George Cohen and said there is a new deal on the table. The deal is a 49-51 split of revenue. Then, after giving that promising news, He said if players don't accept this, the owners will not give in at all to the players and drop the percent all the way down to 47-percent with a salary cap. Basically, he said take this deal or you will get nothing from us at all and lose everything.

Now the worst part of it is if the players do not accept by November 9, there will NOT be a 2011-2012 season! I say hurry up and just accept it! Don't be so spoiled! NBA players are earning way more than they should already. Instead of playing a great season, they are going to complain?

Geoffery Mutai gave two phenomenal performances in seven months in races without pace-setters. Geoffery Mutai shattered the course record in the New York City Marathon on Sunday. Mutai's performance was no surprise after he ran the fastest marathon ever earlier this year.

Mutai finished in 2 hours, 5 minutes, 6 seconds, crushing the previous mark of 2:07:43 set by Tesfaye Jifar of Ethiopia a decade earlier. In April, Mutai ran the fastest 26.2 miles in history: 2:03:02 in Boston. It didn't count as a world record because the course is considered too straight and too downhill.

"I am happy now because even although it was not recognized, I'm happy to be at that level," Mutai said. "And I know one day, maybe I can come to do something. The course here — it was tough. But the weather was so good. I think I'll try to maintain myself to prove it right."

The second- and third-place finishers also broke the old course record. Fellow Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai (no relation), the London Marathon champ and course-record holder, ran a 2:06:28. Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia was third in 2:07:14.

Firehiwot Dado

Firehiwot Dado was not a favorite coming into the women's race and victory seemed impossible with even a few miles left. Firehiwot made a stunning comeback for her first major marathon title.

Mary Keitany

Trailing Mary Keitany, London Marathon champ, Dado by nearly 2½ minutes at the 15-mile mark, but Dado passed her with about a mile left. The 27-year-old Dado won in 2:23:15 — almost a minute better than her previous personal best.

"Because she'd been running so fast from the very beginning, I didn't imagine that we'd catch her," Dado said. "But when we did get closer and we saw her, I was very surprised and I was very happy."

Overall, The 30-year-old Mutai earned $200,000 for winning and setting the course record. He is the first runner to win Boston and New York in the same year since Rodgers Rop in 2002.Dado took home $170,000. Emmanuel Mutai won a $500,000 bonus as the World Marathon Majors champ.

What's Happening: Oklahoma earthquake 5.6

In Sparks, Oklahoma, local residents accustomed to tornadoes were shaken by weekend temblors that cracked buildings, buckled a highway and rattled nerves. After the quake, it was followed by 10 aftershocks by mid morning Sunday. Homes and other buildings cracked and suffered minor damage, and there have not been any reports of severe injuries or major devastation.

"That shook up the place, had a lot of people nervous," Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon said. "Yeah, it was pretty strong."

"We definitely felt it," Collins said. "I was at home, getting ready for bed and it felt like the house was going to collapse. I tried to get back to my kids' room and it was tough to keep my balance, I could hardly walk."

Jesse Richards, 50, of Sparks, said, my wife ran outside when the shaking started because she thought their home was going to collapse. One of her cookie jars fell on the floor and shattered, and pictures hanging in their living room were knocked askew. He estimated the big earthquake lasted for 45 seconds to a minute."We've been here 18 years, and it's getting to be a regular occurrence," Richards said. But, he added, "I hope I never get used to them."

Occupy Atlanta organizers said Sunday that they plan to again try to camp at a city park. Twenty people were arrested during a rally that reached the streets. The group plans to have their meeting on Sunday, and the members march back to Woodruff Park downtown. "People were arrested on charges they refused to leave the park after curfew or blocked city roads", police said.

Before Saturday's 11 p.m. curfew, a crowd of several hundred protesters had set up tents at Woodruff Park, the scene of about 50 arrests of demonstrators last month. Organizers had said they planned to stay overnight despite warnings from the mayor and police that anyone there past closing would be arrested.As 11 p.m. approached, protesters began leaving peacefully. Dozens of officers were at the premise, herding protesters away from the park's entrances and installing barricades around it.

In riot gear and on horseback filled the street, police officers warned protesters to stay on the sidewalk, but the protesters shouted back at the officers, chanting slogans such as, "Shame! Shame!" and "What about your pensions?" A small group yelled more insulting things like, "Put the pigs back in their sty, we the people occupy."

Mayor Kasim Reed issued an executive order allowing them to stay overnight, but later revoked it after he said there were increasing security concerns.

"Mayor Reed was clear earlier this week in his public statements that the City of Atlanta would arrest any persons who violated the law," Police Chief George Turner said.

Occupy Atlanta organizer Latron Price said, "I'm disappointed that the situation grew confrontational."La'die Mansfield, 29, a spokeswoman for the Occupy Atlanta, said the police used "unnecessary force.""Today is a sad day for us. It's almost like we're seeing a little bit of what happened in Oakland here, not to the extent," she said. "Today was just a reminder of the system that we have, the corrupt system."

What's Happening: Little girl eats leftovers after mom dies

Shylah Silbery

In Wellington, New Zealand, a little three year-old girl named Shylah Silbery ate leftovers for two days after Lauren Silbery, her mother, passed away. Shylah had comforted herself with her teddy bear. At home, she ate cheese, leftover lasagna, and drank milk.

Worried family members called a close by neighbor to check on Shylah and her mother. The neighbor then called the police after only seeing Shylah at home. The police convinced Shylah to open the door by standing on a coffee table. After Shylah told the police, "Mummy won't wake up." Then Shylah went to the hospital because of dehydration and diaper rash.

Pete Shylah, her uncle, said, "She's doing ok now. She's still bubbly.When we lowered the coffin into the grave at the cemetery. She pointed at it and said Mummy's in there.' It was pretty heartbreaking."

Personal thoughts: Aww :(... What a brave and smart little girl. I honestly don't know what I would do without my mother. I wish only the best for you Shylah!

What's happening: Greece's Economic Crisis

In Greece, the economy has been suffering. European leaders have been battling to keep the eurozone and the European Union together. In this financial crisis, that threatens to split partnerships forged over more than half a century. In Europe, leaders have been working together to solve this issue.

France's President Nicolas Sarkozy insisted that Europe would not give up on the euro. At the World Economic Forum Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy said: "We will never abandon the euro. Never! Euro spells Europe, the euro is Europe. Europe has meant 60 years of peace on our continent. We will never abandon that. To imagine that we might pull out of that is to ignore the fact that as people who have been at each others' throats for centuries, we now have one wish, and that is lasting peace."

At this point, there is too much at stake to allow the whole thing to fall apart. Many countries are locked in to the system even countries who are not in the EU.

Personal thoughts: Within the EU, the economically strong countries shall come aid Greece,but it is unknown at this point.
