To set the Ready Boost feature in Windows 7 then we need a High Speed Flash / USB or Pendrive which certainly supports this feature.

Double-click the icon "Power Options" in the Control panel.
Click the arrow showing "Show Additional Plans" and then select "High Performance".
Then inactivity option "High Performance".
Power settings in Windows 7 is not automatically set for maximum performance. By default the power plan in Windows 7 is set to balance the energy consumption on hardware. So of course we will not get the optimum performance of Windows 7 if power plannya not appropriate. We must change to a level of High Performance.
