Easy Crock-Pot Cake

Want a nice, easy, and delicious crock-pot cake recipe? How can you go wrong? Peanut Butter and Chocolate..... Try this out and let me know what you think!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup light sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:
Spray crock pot with non stick spray.
Beat the eggs.
Mix all ingredients together.
Pour into Crock-pot.
Cover and cook on low for approximately 6 to 7 hours until center is firm.

Easy Fun Cheerio Treats

These are fun and easy to make! This is one that the whole family can do and enjoy!

Ingredients:1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
5 cups Cheerios

Instructions:

In a large pan, mix the sugar and corn syrup.
Bring them to a boil over medium heat.
Add peanut butter and vanilla.
Mix until smooth.
Add in the Cheerios and stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
Drop spoonful of mixture onto waxed paper till all mix is gone.
Allow to cool.

Yield:
Makes approximately 2 dozen.

Super Cute and Easy Colorful Cupcakes!

This is as simple as can be. Simply take a white cake mix and follow the boxes directions. Then add a couple of drops of food coloring and swirl with a butter knife! Put in the oven according to the directions and TA-DA! Fun, easy, and cute! My little's love to mix so I always let them mix the cake mixes!

Pretzel Kisses

Today we are going to make pretzel kisses for our desert! Making treats is a fun way to prepare for desert and keep the little's busy! They love to help Mommy in the kitchen and we have a blast. This is a nice easy recipe and is so yummy!

Ingredients:
1 bag of small square pretzels
1 bag of Hersey Kisses

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Place half of the pretzels on a foil lined cookie sheet.
Top each pretzel with a Hersey Kiss.
Bake in oven for approximately 3 minutes. You want to just leave in until kiss is softened.
Remove from oven.
Top each treat with another pretzel.
Let it cool and then refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Our Lighted Milk Jug Snowman!

Yesterday we made our lighted milk jug snow man! This was a pretty easy project except getting the lights through the jug opening.

Shown below is a picture of our finished snowman as well as the steps we took.

Materials Needed:
3 empty rinsed milk jugs
Hat
Scarf
Paint
Craft Foam
Googly Eyes
Strand of Lights
Hot Glue or Spray Adhesive

1. Paint all three milk jugs with white paint. Then allow the paint to dry.
2. Cut out the bottom of two of the jugs.
3. Feed the strand of lights into the bottom jug which is the one you did not cut the bottom out of.
4. Feed the light strand up through the remaining two jugs. Leave enough at top to plug into outlet.
5. Glue the two top jugs to the bottom jug.
6. Cut the craft foam into a triangle and then roll into a cone.
7. Glue the nose on your snowman.
8. Paint eyes, mouth, and buttons. Allow paint to dry.
9. Dress your snowman with his hat and scarf.
10. Add the snowman's googly eyes.
11. Find the perfect spot and plug him in!

OMG This Christmas Tree ......

is so not going to make it. I have been chasing away the two year old, the one year old, and the dog for two weeks now!

I spend all day either picking stuff up to put back on the tree or chasing one, two or all three of them away from it! I am not sure if they are in competition to see who will pull it over first or see who can put me in the nut hut first! We purposely put the tree on the end table to cut back on some of it but not sure it helped. Our six foot tree now only has four feet of decoration!

Black Friday Shopping...Yay Me....Poor Dad!

My Dad and I have been going Black Friday shopping for over 10 years now. I am not sure he meant for it to be a tradition but it is now. Thinking back he probably just wanted to check out the hoopla and see what it is all about. The big kids were young when we started so I think it became more of a he came along to protect me from the other crazy woman. We had a few relaxed years where there was no absolute must haves from the toy sections.

Guess what Dad we are back into the crazy toy isles this year!

Christian is old enough to get excited about commercials so....That means yep he should get some of those items! We will be hitting all the toy sections again with all the other crazy Moms looking for the same toys and a great price.

I love this tradition because it is the one guaranteed time a year that it is just me and Dad.

We look through the ads all day on Thanksgiving and chart out our plan of action. We then get up and hit the sales about 3am. With coffee and ads in hand out the door we go! The addition to our JC Penny's snow globe collection is always a must! The church's hot chocolate stand is another must. Everything else is just sorta based on the sales and our planned route from the day before.

So this year is going to be a fun crazy shopping experience cause with four kids spanning all the ages we will be all over the place! Like I said Yay Me and Poor Dad!

Consider My House Great Birth Control for Teens!

I mean why not let your teens hang out over here with my teens? What a scare tactic we have going on! A two year old and a one year old running around, getting into stuff, opening the door to the bedrooms, turning off the television, throwing stuff at them and much, much more!

If that doesn't sound like fun then how about when they are both so tired that they can't see straight! Both of them crying, whining, and wanting things in two separate directions. I am almost forty and it still scares me sometimes...I can't imagine being a teenager and watching the craziness!

They get to see double diaper duty, the food that gets chucked across the kitchen, the fighting between the two, bath time, and many more entertaining episodes within their visit! They will probably also being hit with some type of projectile as well (This is my disclaimer). You just never know what will happen in this place!

So go ahead send them over! They will be shaking their heads and thinking twice about how cute little kids and babies are by the time they leave our place! If they are not then please send them back and they can babysit lol!

Do I Really Say That? All the Time?

You never really know how much you say something until you have a two year old! The things they pick up! It's funny because he will be walking around the house saying something and I think where did he get that?

Well I now know because now that he's saying it I hear myself saying it! I hear myself saying it over and over again! Wow! I didn't even realize that I said certain things like "Aww Man!" or " Who made this mess?" or some other things I don't want to mention. Certainly opens your eyes and makes you more aware of what you are saying!

I guess I have become accustomed to the big kids ignoring some or most of what I say and I am way to lax about it now! What a potty mouth! I may need soap myself!

Not only does he mock words but also actions like while saying "Who made this mess" he stomps his foot and puts his arms out....Guess where he got that? Well like I said in my last post I am one of the most impressionable people in their lives...Guess I need to be more careful or I will have an OCD sailor mouth on my hands!
