How to play synchronized/same songs in different devices(offline)? - Step by step guide

Hello guys,if you want to play same song in you android devices , or in your car or stereo , you are at right place. This post is particularly inspired by the incident when I had to play same song in 3-4 cars for a little dance party. I was trying to find out a way to play same song in a synchronized manner in all devices (phones, pc etc.). What I was doing was using phones and an aux cable to my car's stereo and then pumping up the volume. But how to synchronize them, you wouldn't wanna waste lot of time making the songs sync manually as even lag of 50 millisecond between songs will sound as echo at high volume.

Note: AmpMe/Soundseeder/Speakerfy all these apps weren't working perfectly and there was always a bit lag when I turned up the volume. These apps give good performance in just mobile phones but not when jacked up to car sound system.

Now this guide works for car parties -where you pool cars and play same song, turning your room into a discotheque by using mobile phones or if you want to play songs in your house in different rooms but in a synced manner.

Basic requirements are -
1. Laptop/PC/Mobile phone( At least two devices )
2. Aux cables (if want to use in a stereo )
3. Java if installing on PC
4. Logitech media server application ( Download from here )
5. Squeeze player application
- For windows (Download from here)
- For android (Download from here)

There must be one device that act as control center or master and other devices to act as slave which play the song given by master device.

1. You need Logitech media server application for the master device - preferably a pc/laptop.
2. For slave devices you only need squeeze player application on phones and softsqueeze player on laptops/pc.

NOTE: while installing open the files as administrator. Right click on the files and click run as administrator. This gives the application permission to write necessary files and configure itself properly.

Now once you have installed them correctly we will configure server first -

1. connect to a router or WiFi point (its ok if there's no internet you can still play songs in LAN).

2. Open the media server application (if you see this warning on the application

For this close the application. You need to open start menu->Logitech Media Server-> Control panel (right click on this and run it as administrator too).

3. After successfully running the server you can see its status as "server running"

4. Click on library and add dongs folder of your device in library. Again click on Status and press "rescan" button. Let it scan all the songs and press apply and then ok.

5. Now click on advanced and open web remote control. Your browser will open with a server control panel and you can see you music there. Like this :

Now You are all set for the master application.

To configure the Slave application inside phones, laptops and pc -

For Laptops/PC

1. Connect to the same WiFi router to which your master device is connected.

2. Open the installed softsqueeze application on you Laptop/PC It should look something like this

Note: If it doesn't works reopen the Softsqueeze application as administrator.

3. Now click on the second button given on top of what looks like a dvd player. It should open the setting.

4. If the hostname is empty check it in your server control panel (in information tab)or ask you master device manager, enter exact name.

5. Now do the same in "Networking" tab , fill in same host name. (do not disturb default port setting unless you know what you are doing).

6. Click ok.

For mobile phones:

Just install the squeeze player and enter the server name as RipCode if it needs else just enter the IP-address which should be like 192.168.xxx.xxx.

By far your master device must have recognized the player and you can reload the web page in master device and check in top right corner, for all the player it has detected.(Refresh web page if needed.)

Synchronization between different devices

Now from your web control on master device play a song. Now click on the drop down arrow and you will be able to see all the players that are connected to your master device.

Look in top right corner right now I have two player. One on my laptop and one on another pc connected to same WiFi router.

Now I play song and click on drop-down arrow and click synchronize.

choose the players you want to synchronize. Perform this step for synchronizing more players.

Voila! you have same song playing over two devices that too in sync.

[if you don't have a router or wifi to connect to make your master device a virtual router and connect all devices to it.]

I used three mobile phones and two laptops and connected them to cars using aux and then I didn't need any disco.....

Well as you have noticed by now that your A63 doesn't have a option for usb debugging on the

menu and setting..

Here's the trick for activating developer option in a63

1.Disconnect your phone from pc (if connected ).

2. Goto settings -> about phone -> scroll down a lot

3. Here tap build number more than two - three times

4. Then one notification will appear saying you are 2-3 steps away from being developer

5. Then tap it that many times.
congrats "you are now a developer".

To open developer options(usb debugging mode etc)

1.Goto settings scroll down

2. Arrive to Developer option menu

3.tap on it and you can have many options in it.

Storage Classes in C/C++ and their tabular comparison

A storage class defines the scope (visibility) and life time of variables and/or functions within a C /C++ Program.

Types of Storage Classes

Auto

Auto is the default storage class for all local variables.

Register

Register is used to define local variables that should be stored in a register instead of RAM. This means that the variable has a maximum size equal to the register size (usually one word) and can’t have the unary '&' operator applied to it (as it does not have a memory location). Register should only be used for variables that require quick access - such as counters.

It should also be noted that defining 'register' goes not mean that the variable will be stored in a register. If registers are busy or already occupied then it will be used as auto variables but as soon as the registers are free it will be converted to register class

Static

Static is the default storage class for global variables. Static variables can be 'seen' within all functions in this source file. Static can also be defined within a function. Static variables are initialized with 0 as default.

If this is done the variable is initialized at run time but is not reinitialized when the function is called. This inside a function static variable retains its value during various calls.

Extern

Extern is used to give a reference of a global variable that is visible to ALL the program files. When you use 'extern' the variable cannot be initialized as all it does is point the variable name at a storage location that has been previously defined.

When you have multiple files and you define a global variable or function which will be used in other files also, then extern will be used in another file to give reference of defined variable or function. Just for understanding extern is used to declare a global variable or function in another file.

Yeah i consider it a pretty tough topic for which even if you have searched google or different search engines there's hardly few results that are correct.
As the same situation happened with me that's why i think since it is a thing you should know then why not post it.

NOTE : this code just deletes data from the database not a file.for deleting file you have to use unlink function.

Traditional method or taught by your teachers(might work sometime) :

BEGINNING PHP :"hello world"

In my last post I taught you about how to install xampp and start apache on your pc so you can run PHP scripts.

Let's head towards the first program of PHP (and of all languages) - The "HELLO WORLD" program.

1. Start APACHE as told in last post .
After APACHE turns green.
Open your preferred browser and in the URL bar type "localhost" .
(no need to type localhost/xampp it will automatically redirected.)

The screen will look like this -

If you get this screen then your XAMPP is working right and your Apache server is working fine

2. Download the file from here helloworld.php

3. Open it in Notepad++, and save the opened file in C:/xampp/htdocs/ directory (htdocs of your xampp folder {wherever you installed it } otherwise you will not be able to run them.)

Save the downloaded file in the htdocs folder itself.

(I installed it as xamppnew , similarly your xampp's htdocs folder)

The file you downloaded above has this / looks like this in Notepad++.(Read it (after downloading) once or twice to get familiar with PHP.)

4.Go to your browser and in URL bar type "localhost/helloworld.php" or (localhost/"name of the file you saved")

5. Press Enter , voila ..... you just ran your first script of php.

softwares needed

XAMPP HOME (juzz if you wanna read about it)

DIRECT DOWNLOAD XAMPP(WINDOWS)

Let it download as 102mb is not child's play ,any way install it after you download it.

If you are a complete programmer and try new things everytime i would suggest you install everything but

only for php lovers you choose all the "server options and "PHP " option.

DO NOT MIX LARGE MIXTURES ie. <10 GRAMS

The ratios of oxidizers and fuels depends on the type of engine desired. The amount of oxidizer can be as high as 90% as in some ammonium nitrate mixes to as little as 20% ammonium perchlorate as in some water breathing engines.

A fast burning mixture: Potassium Perchlorate 20%
Isp=200 Ammonium Perchlorate 55%
Epoxy Resin/Hardener 17%
Powdered Aluminum 8%
This is very fast burning but the exhaust makes a fairly heavy smoke.

A slow burning propellant. Great for sustainer engines.
Isp=165 Ammonium Nitrate 70%
Ammonium Perchlorate 10%
Polyester Resin 18%
Powdered Charcoal 2%
Not very powerful but useful. The charcoal helps keep the combustion steady.

A very powerful mixture: Ammonium Perchlorate 75%
Isp=250 Powdered Aluminum 10%
PVC in THF 15%

IMPORTANT :-All the ingredients should be dampened with THF (tetrahydrofuran) before mixing.
Do this in an area with very good ventilation and wear rubber gloves to keep from contacting the THF with bare skin.
This mixture is best used in a perforated grain to help the solvent evaporate.
An ammonium nitrate based propellant: Ammonium Nitrate 70%
Isp=160 Powdered Aluminum 5%
Polyester Resin 18%
Ammonium Bichromate 5%
Powdered Charcoal 2%
A good mix when perchlorates are not available.
Do not under any circumstances use chlorates for rocket propellants. You will not make a rocket, just a pipe bomb with fins.
