begin again | a new season...

Hey loves!

It's a new chapter in our lives. Another season is yet to embrace. The bible says in Psalm 23:6, "So why should I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life." This year, my husband and I wanted to name our year 2022 the, "year of change and breakthrough".

He went home last December of 2021. I am an OFW wife. A typical Filipina wife and mom. Every year, there's a privilege for him to come home and spent a whole month or so with his family. This year, we welcomed the new year with a bang! Literally and reality speaking.

We spent our days not going on trips or eating out or the joy ride like what we used to do with our daughter. But we spent most of his vacation packing, moving, and packing, and moving. We were exhausted and happy at the same time. We have this joy in our hearts that comes from the Lord. Our world may crumble and fall but when you put your trust and hope in the Lord there is peace.

We said our goodbyes again and our 'till we meet again. The time has come for him to go back to a foreign country that he calls his other home for a decade now. As seasons change, we look forward to spending more time with him again. Maybe, just maybe, we can go on trips and enjoy each moment with him.

That's it for now. Come, journey with me as we marvel at this new chapter in our lives.

#Throwback | Denim and Loafers

Hey loves!

Here's another blog post for you and I know (I know) it took me forever to post this. Sorry (again and again). I saw these photos just today after doing all the errands and the household chores. Being a mommy is a never ending activities at home especially the chores haha! And finally, I was able to lay my back on the bed just a couple of minutes before my little pumpkin comes home from school. So I took the time to scan the photos in my laptop and accidentally landed on these photos. Checked the dates and it was taken three years ago when I remembered I asked my friend to take these shots so I can put it on this blog. I don't know what happened and didn't post it. And now why am I posting this three years later? I guess denims are back and so as the loafers.I finally have the time and courage to post this. I hope you my loves like it. Oopss! My hair have grown already. Geez! Haha!

Oh! By the way, excuse my shaved legs. Mommy is in a little hurry so I just shaved using hair conditioner. I'm out of my shaving cream. Shhh!

Hey guys! I'm back at it again with another blog that took me forever to post. I don't know what happened but I just lost it. I hope I can blog myself and my daughter again here. I'll try my very best. I need motivation. M O T I V A T I O N??? Hello??? Where are you? I badly need you. Ugh!

hippie look + skater scallop skirt

Hey loves!

It's been raining a lot here lately and you can still see the puddle. Since Mr. Sun is finally out, so I took the privilege to enjoy a little bit ray of sunshine. *wink! Got camera and an outfit on my mind, why not do a quick look and blog it. I just simply paired my backwards celine paris crop shirt with this super cute and comfy skater skirt. What I love most about this skirt are the details on the texture and the perfect scallops on the bottom. I accessorized my hair with this polka dots bandana slash turban that I bought from the thrift store and pulled out my BCBG black shoes in my shoe closet. So I've come up with this look. I hope you like it!

Hey everyone!

I am recently loving stripes especially the sailor mood. The dress fits me well and it's comfy. The sleeveless is perfect for my tropical country. It has red thin belt to give its accent on the simplicity of this dress. It's amazing how the blue stripes and the red belt makes it into a "sailor mood". I paired it with my celine loafers and my sling satchel bag with gold studs to add a little bit of elegance. My hair is just very laid back and just added a sparkly tie and curl away my bangs. So, here's the look and hope you guys like it.

Hey everyone!

I'm back again and it's been a month since I've posted here on my blog. Yesterday I was browsing some photos on my laptop and I saw this mesh outfit that I wore last January 2013 and I thought, "Why didn't I post this outfit?" The other day I was visiting my favorite blogger Geneva Vanderzeil of the famous a pair and a spare on her DIYs and then I spotted her Trend to Try: Mesh blog that's why I decided why not post my way back January Mesh crop top outfit of the day a.k.a OOTD. Hey everyone!

This was way too late post. It was taken last January at Baguio City Phillippines with my family where we stayed for four days. I believed this is the coldest place in my country especially during this month from December until February. This photos were taken thru my iPhone 4s only. Sorry for the lightnings and colors but I think somehow it gives justice to it. My outfit was basically compost of a printed dress with black lace on the bottom, then I paired it with leggings and put on my fave leopard sequinned flats. Since it's cold here, I decided to wear my denim jacket to give a little bit of accent. Hope you like it!

Hello lovelies!

Normally I would post of my Sunday outfit (in which it's my Sunday dress, too) This is the only day that I dressed up nicely. Basically, I wear my regular outfit on everyday basis going to work like shorts and tees or summer dress and put on a nice sandals. If I have spare time, you will find me playing with my daughter or having a quick photo shoot for my blog. Usually, I used my iPhone 4s just to quickly capture what I wear on that day. So, that would explain the colors and the lighting mostly on my photos.

diy | vintage tee

Hello everyone!

I was just cleaning my closet this morning and found this vintage tees that has been sitting here for a few years (I guess three or four years). Then while browsing Forever21 online site, it gives me the idea to re-create it and turn it into the graphic tees inspired by Forever21. My DIY skills kicks in and look for my magic scissors and voila! Can't wait to wear it on my high waisted distressed shorts which is also DIY. I'll put the link down below if you guys wanted to see how I made my high waisted distressed shorts. To be honest, I'm kinda addicted in making the high waisted shorts which in my two weeks vacay I've made ten fab shorts (including my sisters and cousins).

Here are the steps:

First, find an old pair of graphic tees. Why? So that if it turns out bad, you won't regret it. hahaha!

Step 2. Get your magic scissors. I called it magic scissors because for me it is really magical and does amazing help on my DIYs :)

Step 3. Cut it on your desired style. On this one, I choose the fringe style just the right cropped top.

To make a fringe, cut two inches for the length and 1 inch apart. Well, the sizes depends on you. If you wanna make it smaller or thinner, it's all up to you.

Step 4. After cutting it, pull it one by one until your desired look. It should be look like this...

And finally, you'll get this fab vintage "fringe" tee :) Awesome right?

Hi lovelies!

As you can see, I've been into lace lately. When I saw this black lace shorts in thrift store, it really made my heart leap! It's not the perfect one but it just fits perfectly right on my peter pan collared sheer blouse. I wear my bib necklace as an accessory. It brings a little contrast to the colors of the outfit. Then I paired it with my suede wedges. I was thinking of pairing it with my black wedge but I think you can never go wrong with this camel colored wedges. diy | vintage levi's high waisted shorts

High waisted shorts are so in everywhere. So I decided to check out the thrift store to look for Levi's vintage high waisted jeans. You wouldn't believed this, I only got the two jeans for only $7.00! Good deal huh? Oh yeah!
Unfortunately, the store has two Levi's high waisted jeans that fits on my size. But for me it's luck. Hahaha!

Turn your old/vintage jeans from this:

to these high waisted shorts:

Here's what you need:

a pair of scissors

tweezers

old/vintage high waisted jeans

Let's get started....

Y Put the jeans on and draw a line with the chalk to the length you want. Always cut them a little longer than you think will work: it's easier to cut more off later on. Make them just a bit shorter on the sides for a flattering shape!

Y Cut slit on the jeans horizontally using scissors where you want the rips.

Y By using tweezers, start by taking a little piece of thread and pulling it out of the jean. Pull it out vertically. Start pulling all the threads of the slits that you made in the jeans. This is gonna take a little bit of time, but once you get started it's fairly easy and you can start taking more than one at a time. One technique is turn your jeans inside out because it's much easier to find the thread that you're gonna pull.

Don't worry if they don't look natural, once you wash your jeans the frays will come out.

Y Wash the jeans to get your desired distressed/fray. I washed mine several times to get this result.

Y Dye it or bleach it! If you're feeling quirky, add some color. I bleached mine to get the ombre effect.

Tuck in a cute tank top, add a belt or just put on an over size knitted top, and you have the newest fall trend.

random | anything inside the closet

Hi everyone!

Today I'm gonna talk about how I style. I know some of you may not interest about my fashion and that's fine. This is about a girl who loves to dress up and the transformation of material on a hanger into someone beautifully twirling in front of a mirror. I have no qualifications but I have my own fashion ispirations, of course. Some of them are Hollywood celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, mommies Katie Holmes and Nicole Richie and the legendary classics Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn monroe.

What I do is go look at the things hanging in my closet, pair them, mix matched them, try on, accesorize then voila! Mostly, I picture them first on my mind, then go and put it on and go in front of a mirror and check if it fits me. So I ended up a cluster. Clothes and shoes everywhere, on the bed and on the floor.Haha!

I have loved all aspects of styles since I can remember. I put on my momma's shoes and accessories and dance in front of a mirror when I was a little girl. Sometimes, I would pretend I'm a model. (I think some of the girls do) But when I'm growing up, I've learned that fashion is not just the one that you copy from the famous celebrities or models. Sometimes when you try to copy them it won't look good on you. Learning that fashion and style should be based on how it fits you and how it will look fabulous on you. You can be fashionable even in the most practical ways. It's about how you style and not about how expensive the clothes that you're wearing, or the shoes or even the bags that you're holding.

So, I wear basically anything inside my closet. Some of them were given as a gift and most of them were purchased on sale and thrift store. I don't care what brand I wear. It's all about styling and making the most of what you have and be beautiful. It's all about how you carry it and believing in yourself.

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I did this GTL Series (Get the Look). So, I've been browsing the internet lately and this picture of mommy Katie & Suri captured my attention. Since it's been raining here in the Philippines a lot lately, I suppose I can put on a nice and chic looking scarf. And to add a little accent on my look also. Honestly, this is my Sunday's outfit on going to church. Hey everyone! So, here it is again my GTL Series a.k.a. Get the Look and it's my daughter on the blog today. Yey! Actually, this was her OOTD (Outfit of the Day) at school yesterday. I knoe it's Saturday but they do have make up class. Anyways, I like to dress her whenever we go out to the mall or go to church. And since it's the first week of class, they're allowed not to wear their uniforms, so I grabbed the opportunity to dress her the way I wanted. Hahaha! You knoe moms sometimes. :) But she always liked it. She said it's nice. Sweet kid. hehehe!!!

So, yeah, here's her GTL | Suri Cruise

I got the shoes/sandals with low heels and the simple blouse with skirt that is just below her knees. Then I added her pink Dora bag to complete the look.
