Sienna's 3rd Birthday

Trav and Sienna came up Friday to be ready for the birthday tomorrow. Sienna got up around 6am and got into bed with Trav and was waiting for him to wake up so she could get into the presents she has a lot of patience that one, I would have ripped into them.

My time flies she is no longer a baby, but a little girl, shame really as it goes too fast, however she is good fun.

She got lots of dolls for her big dolls house, an orange juicer from me, as she loves her home made juice and I want to teach her so she can make one for her daddy. Face painting, Lego and more from Scott and Ange in a parcel from Broome

A VERY noisy Dora guitar from Janelle I could kill her!!! I cannot remember what else, but she did well. Some Dora DVD’s, a bubble maker - which may or may not work!…..

Mindarie Quays is packed; Lots of tourists and lots of things to do there. Heaps of shops, a lovely place to swim lots of different eating houses……not to mention the English Candy Store I stocked up there, which I am sure I am going to regret or I should say I do already.

Under Water World we saw lots of big fish, with huge string rays and sharks going over our heads. I like the coral reef display below with the pretty little fish the best. It is not bad value for money and quite interesting. Lots of feral people though! Maybe best to go during the week when it is not so busy.

We had Sharkey’s fish and chips for lunch, not bad, the fish was lovely but the chips and squid rings were cold. A very long wait when we were very hungry – but a beer and fish n chips did the trick, Travis spiked my vodka on Friday night so the greasy food was just what I felt like.

Dad ringing Uncle "cott, Ange Coby and Eddy to thank him for my presents while we waited for lunch and we also shared a spearmint milkshake that helped while we waited.

This year was soooo much cooler than the 40+ we had for Sienna’s last birthday at the Zoo thank the lord.

We had ice-cream cake and a sing a long while chatting to Scott and Ange on Skype as I knew they would have loved to have been here for the birthday. Hence I did not take any photos of the cake.

Friggin’ knee was as sore as a tooth ache, it has been good for weeks – however you do need to be half mountain goat at Under Water World cause of all the stairs but it was worth it.

Sienna enjoyed her day and was a treat to be around. I took my iPod along and gave them a real treat with some of my favourite music. Dr Hook, some country and western, nice change from the head banging! I think they both loved it! I must remember to take it again on long trips. I caught Trav out the corner of my eye singing along at times!

You wore this Coby and Eddy T shirt for your birthday with a black frill skirt and looked soooo cute.

A guy is driving around the back streets of Perth

He sees a sign in front of an unkempt terraced house: 'Talking Dog for Sale', so he rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the garden.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?'

The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young.. I wanted to help the government, so I told the SAS.

In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.'

'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running...

But the jetting around really tired me out,

and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so

I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job

at the airport to do some undercover security,

wandering near suspicious characters and

listening in. I uncovered some incredible
dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.'

'I got married, had a load of puppies, and
now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks

the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten quid,' the guy says.

'Ten quid? This dog is amazing! Why on

earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's a liar. He's never been out of

the garden'

How to kill two birds with one stone........
I miss Jack sooooooooooo much but still want some freedom to travel. I lost my little man on October 24th 2011. He was going on 15 and had an attitude problem, god only knows where that came from! We went everywhere together and he was very special to me.
So I thought why not dog sit and that should fix both problems........I will have a dog to care for and like baby sitting it is great to give 'em back some times! Link to photos of Jack & Max

Who would have thought.....This is going straight to the BLOG. Well done Scotto at last you are catching some good fish and looking so happy about it. I am not sure if they are good eating but who cares it is one handsome fish my boy. Travis will be sooooo jealous -

Scott Spag Bol Recipe

Here is the recipe Scott, let me know how you go

500grams Heart Safe Mince

1 Onion

2 garlic cloves (optional)

Little chilli (optional)

Fry up onion and garlic until clear

Pop in mince and brown a little

1 tin tomatoes

4 tablespoons of tomato paste

Season with salt and pepper

1 teaspoon each of oregano, basil

1/2 teaspoon of thyme

Add 1 litre of water bring to the boil and then simmer for 3-4 hours

Pig out it is delish.

He was a lovely boy and talked really well - a little foul of the mouth
at times, no idea where that came from! I am not sure what happened to him, but I think he was bitten by a spider or snake he went down fighting. I loved him but would not cage another bird I would rather watch them in the wild.

Surfing in Margaret River Jas came down wrong and smashed his left knee on his surf board. Poor Jas is in a lot of pain in Bunbury Hospital while they decide whether to operate there or in Perth. He is worried his surfing days could be over. Nice photo of the beach it looks great, knee not so good! Hang in there Jas

His operation is planned for tomorrow - I hope it all goes well.

Jas in now in Kayeela Hospital a Private Hospital in East Fremantle. His leg is worse than they thought. I had a nice visit with him today and they are hoping to operate on Friday. His skating, surfing and footy days are over poor boy has a lot to deal with but is coping well under the circumstances...Keep up the good work Jas.

Jas had the operation at Freo Hospital on the 13th !!!!!!! Poor boy is in a lot of pain but handling it well considering. He will need another Op in about 6 weeks but I think the worst is behind him now.

Photo of the staples in Jas leg. No he is not sitting up !!!!

He had a code blue yesterday and massive pain. It turned out his leg went into shock and they were very concerned for some time.

Poor old Jas had a terrible time, I don't know how he is sooooo strong. I am going to visit tomorrow. He thought he was going to die poor thing.

Some good news though he maybe able to go home a little earlier than he thought which will be good.So keep everything crossed not you Jas it will hurt too much!.

Went to Freo to visit.....food shocking, staff good. Jas excited cause he gets to go home tomorrow. I do wonder after what he has been through whether this is a little too soon!!!! He has another Op in around 6 weeks I guess this one will be on the road to recovery by then.

I drove Jas to Mandurah today and Jess and Zac picked him up. Poor boy I am hoping they did not let him go too early as he felt sick and looked soooo tired. I think he will be happy once home and settled in and sleeping in his own bed. God what a nightmare this has all been for him.

Jas and the family had to drive from Margaret River to Fremantle to get the 47 staples out and an update saying he has a long road ahead. I guess he will get his head around it and cope. They had to get up at 6am and then got there on time and had a 90 minute wait before the long trip home, and in all this heat a lot to deal with but Jas does not complain. He is strong.

Valentines Day and poor old Jas has taken himself off the pain killers and is battling. God it just seems to be one thing after another for him - He has had sooo much to deal with this does not seem fair to me, also he has the next operation hanging over his head. I do hope each day gets easier for him, and he gets a break soon. I think if he was a dog they would have put him down. He does have a handle on it all and I am proud of the way he handles everything it is not nice to think of him going through sooooo much though! Hang in there Jas you are one strong sucker.

Another around trip to Fremantle Hospital with a 4am start! Only to be given conflicting information once more! He has to now massage and icepack his leg, not told that before today. They took the brace off which was frightening for poor Jas they want him to put 5% weight on his leg - when we left Freo before the biggest concern was that he put NO weight at all on his leg!.. We thought Bunbury Hospital had given him the wrong type of Physio, but as it turns out they were right all along................more conflicting information, my you have to be in top of your own health and well being these days.He should have been on anti inflammation tablets all a long for the swelling, no one told him that either..they just keep moving the goal posts. But he has taken it on the chin, and is getting a swimming program set up and looking into other things. They are talking of another Op to remove the scar tissue................just as well he is one strong boy with a level head on his shoulders and Jess and Zac around him to keep him sane. On ya Jas.

Christmas 2011 - Wannanup

We went to Jenny’s on Christmas Eve after Nanny Sharon’s. My bubble maker is a winner as I love bubbles. There are lots of presents under the tree and Santa is due tomorrow morning, I have left a carrot and a drink for him. Dad woke me in the morning and we opened presents. Dad was going on about how hard it is to put the gifts together, Jenny was banging on about Dora and wishing she had invented her - saying then we would all be rich!!!!! We had a roast lunch as it was cooler this year for a change and we all spoke on Skype to Scott in Broome. I had a ride in the big bus with Dad to get Nanny. The nursing home has been closed for days by the Health Dept. so Nanny was very hungry as she stayed in her room so she did not get infected. I got a lovely pram for my babies, a scooter like Monty's a helmet to go with it, a canoe for the beach, a golf set, leggo, lots of Dora things ie: jigsaw, t shirt, book bag, backpack, doll so all in all it was a good day except we ran out of petrol at Preston Beach on the way home…….that’s a story for another day!

Daddy decided the Perth Zoo would be a good idea. It was around 40 degrees or more the hottest day of the year I thought it would too hot and as usual I was right! First mistake was we forgot the pram, lucky they hire them there! We did not see a lot of animals as they were all hot and sleeping, but we had a few laughs.
Our second mistake and the biggest was getting off the freeway cause of the traffic and getting lost! It took us 2 - 3 hours to do the 1 hour trip home!!

We went to the beach and had a swim on the way back………after Duffer daddy brought cider instead of beer. We had a Pavlova and a sing a long before bed. This is when "Pider" started. You picked something up that moved and pider pider. Also a little trouble with your "s" 'ienna, 'nake, 'pider, 'ticker ( which Yankie cousin Joan sends you heaps of) cute.
Julian Bloxam called in when we got home for Pavlova (which I don’t know what I was thinking – as you don’t like eggs!) and you told Daddy you wanted to go to bed, you do love to sleep. You enjoyed the day despite the heat.

Your love of the water and beach also started around this time. Jack (Jenny’s little Jack Russel) also loved the water and use to swim with us. You are a very lovable child who everyone adored and had us fighting over the baby sitting duties. You also loved to help.

Great excitement with the 1st birthday especially for Daddy. He did the streamers and balloons and you had on the cutest pink fairy dress from Nanny Sharon. It was hot as but you had a great time. Scott and Ange came over for lunch and to help set up all your lovely gifts.You got your first taste of frankfurters and thought you had died and gone to heaven, you love em and also fairy bread.

Margaret River Fires December 2011. How horrible to see the beautiful Aussie bush like this, looks really eerie.
My nephew Jason Heine who heads the local band SCYATIC had a benefit head banging (sorry Jas) concert for the locals who were affected by the fires. On ya Jas keep up the good work I am proud of you.

Peel Zoo November 2011

You and I went to Peel Zoo again…..it was a little hot……smelly and loads of flies, but you wanted to see a Kangaroo they are your favorites at the moment. We then had a nice lunch at the restaurant out there. You enjoyed every minute of it. You got a bite on the ankle and we had to go to Peel Hosp. but it turned out not to be anything serious.

These singing and dancing cockies are waiting for you to make one wrong move!

I explained to you we are ladies and this is not what one does!

Royal Show September 2011

Dora is your favourite at the moment.

6^th Oct 2011. Travis and I took you to the Royal Show. You had your first train trip, you were a little nervous but soon settled into it.

It was very crowded but we still managed to have some fun…

You had your 1^st pony ride………it cost $9 for about 30 seconds. You patted a baby pig……..had a ride on the cup and saucer with your Dad and got heaps of show bags, face painted, T.Shirt painting and so much more.

We had an early dinner………..you had satays and loved 'em Dad had a Curry which he was hanging out for all day. Back on the train and home after a very long day.

You were sooooo good and enjoyed it all. Dad brought you a jumping dog and anything else he liked, we came home with a heap of crap!………….

I think you "germ carrying little brat" have given me the flu again! 3^rd time for the year. We were all tired but enjoyed the day.
