When Manny Pacquiao was knocked out in the 6th round by Juan Manuel Marquez, one question lingered in my head, Is Pacquiao declining in his boxing skills? Pacquiao's knockout loss is truly a sign of an aging and declining fighter. Had it been earlier in his career, Pacquiao would have avoided the punch. He went in carelessly prior to the knockout blow and yet his used to be cat-like reflex failed him when he split secondly didn't react fast enough to defend the punch. This is a sign of an aging Pacquiao. Pacquiao's knockout loss was not a lucky punch by Marquez. It was a sign of a legendary fighter losing his instinct and reflex to defend himself the way he's supposed to. Pacquiao's knockout loss was an indicator for him to retire the boxing scene before further damage occurs to him. Forget aboutt fighting Mayweather. He will give Pacquiao's knockout loss for the second time in a row. Manny Pacquiao's knockout loss was a calling for him to retire.

After the devastating loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, should Manny Pacquiao retire from boxing? I think so. Why? Pacquiao has nothing else to prove in boxing. He has made history not only in Philippine boxing, but in the world history of professional boxing. He will be a hall of famer for sure with the likes of Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis. What more does he want?

Is It Necessary To Fight Floyd Mayweather before Manny Pacquiao Retire from Boxing?

No, He does not need to fight Mayweather. He is a living coward anyway and he has no intention to fight Manny Pacquiao because he is freaking scared as hell. lol!! Manny Pacquiao retire before you get brain damaged. Either damaged brain or shrank balls.

First of all, they are not expensive to date. They are happy with just simple things you can offer them and appreciate your company more than showering them with expensive stuff. They will feel more uncomfortable if you start off with overly spending for them especially on first date. They will feel intimidated and guarded. To date Filipina girls, you need to be yourself. try to make them feel comfortable. Crack jokes; Filipina love jokes and they tend to loosen up more when you're funny as hell. Don't be late on your dates because that will be a turn-off. Try not to be overly aggressive but not too boring. Be a gentleman and treat them with respect. Dress nice and avoid picking your nose or fart in front of them. Filipinas dislike men with no manners.

Zanfer Promotions president Fernando Beltran feels that his client, Juan Manuel Marquez, will return the favor Manny Pacquiao extended to him in making a fourth fight by granting him a chance at vindication in a fifth fight. He thinks Marquez will give Pacquiao an opportunity to redeem his knockout loss, just as Pacquiao allowed him to avenge the controversial decision of their third clash. Beltran feels the fight would have to take place outside of the United States to avoid income tax issues on non-US fighters. Beltran wanted the fight in Mexico but Bob Arum wanted it in Macau.

What's next for Manny Pacquiao after his brutal Marquez Knockout? Well, Pacquiao can easily retire, swallow his pride and be a full time politician in the Philippines. Manny Pacquiao's purse from his boxing career is definitely enough for him to live life lavishly and focus on politics. He doesn't need to fight and risk his health from accumulation of blows from his head. He has proven enough to the boxing world and his boxing fans that he is a worthy champion that held titles in several weight divisions. He will be a hall of famer. He will be recognized as one of the greatest boxers in Philippine history and one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world. Now he can prove to his country men that he is a worthy politician which will be his next task after he retires. Pacquiao's other option is to continue boxing and have another rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez to redeem his knockout loss. But before doing this, Pacquiao needs to have couple of tune up fights before fighting Marquez again. He needs to train hard and focus. He has to dedicate his time to boxing alone without distractions and disengage himself from his extra curricular activities.

But will Manny Pacquiao retire? Having a warriors' heart I don't think he will, Manny Pacquiao will still fight and surely will have another bout with Juan Manuel Marquez for the 5th time. Just hoping he will manage to be victorious on this one after a shocking knockout from his boxing rival.

The Marquez-Pacquiao 4 ended up in a KO in 6th round after Juan Manuel Marquez threw a strong straight punch on Manny Pacquiao‘s face on Saturday night, December 8, 2012 (Sunday morning, December 9, Manila time). Marquez (55-6-1, 40 KO) told reporters that he won because he threw the perfect punch.

“We always work on that punch. The change in rhythm was important. We knew he was going to come out aggressive. We had to work on more technique and we were able to capitalize on that. We knew it would be a very difficult fight, but not an impossible fight.” Marquez was quoted as saying.

“I threw a perfect punch. I felt Manny was coming after me for a knockout in the last few rounds. I felt he could knock me down at any time. As soon as I saw my first opening I landed a hard right hand. After I knocked him down the first time I thought I could knock him out.” Marquez added.

As shown at HBO Pay-Per-View (PPV) this Saturday night, Marquez knockdown Pacquiao in Round 3 via a strong right punch to his temple, but the 33-year old Filipino champion was able to get up at once. Pacquiao made a comeback in Round 4, and even knocks down Marquez in Round 5 with a solid left punch.

However, Marquez released a hard straight punch to Pacquiao‘s face at 2:59 minutes in Round 6 and the fight ended, with a KO win by the 39-year old Mexican boxer, as declared by ring announcer Michael Buffer. Jinky Pacquiao, Manny‘s wife, was seen crying for his husband and being calmed by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.

Being a boxing fan, I'm just sick and tired of these Pay Per View Bouts that's being generated by sports media. With a fight like this, sure it will be a good fight, but not as excitng and heart pounding than the first two fights. Boxing match just like Morales vs Barrera, Israel Vazquez’s sensational rivalry with Rafael Marquez or this Pacquiao vs Marquez that gets dragged longer and becomes a money milking contest. Pay Per View should at least be half price less than the first two bouts. This is not a movie sequel like the Dark Knight or Twilight Saga. This is more like watching 2 fighters that were once young and now older still trying to kick each other's ass. The difference is when 2 fighters get older, the ferrociousness and hunger subsides. Fighters style and technique becomes a familiarity just like the video game Street Fighter where you'll know which fighter can defeat the other based on their set skills. With Pacquiao vs Marquez, we all know that Pacquiao dominated Marquez on all fights. Marquez went down multiple times on all 3 previous fights and Pacquiao never gone down even one time. Marquez's win came from the m During medieval battle, you know Marquez would have been defeated and no rematch would have taken place back then, you know why? It will battle to their death. Manny Pacquiao will defeat Juan Manuel Marquez by TKO in later rounds. Unless, money making boxing sets in, then it will be different. Juan Manuel Marquez by split decision to make believe that Manny is going down hill with his performance or Manny will fake a knockout. Come out...Come out...wherever you are, duckin Floyd Mayweather.

Bradley was awarded a split decision victory in a fight that most observers felt Pacquiao won handily.

Messages of outrage flooded social media following the Pacquiao-Bradley decision. Boxing analysts, pro athletes, celebrities and even Filipino politicians all had something to say about the fight, almost all of it in favour of Pac-Man.

The result also gave rise to plenty of conspiracy theories. More than a few people commented that they thought the fix was in. Others noted that the result could mark the beginning of the end for the sport of boxing.

Here is a sample of what people are saying about the Pacquiao-Bradley fight

Promoter Bob Arum was outraged by the result. According to ESPN, Arum had to this to say after the fight:

"Something like this is so outlandish, it's a death knell for the sport. This is f------ nuts. I have both guys, and I'll make a lot of money in the rematch, but it's ridiculous. You have these old f---- who don't know what the hell they're looking at. It's incompetence. Nobody who knows anything about boxing could have Bradley ahead in the fight."

Arum also claimed Bradley himself thought he lost: "I went over to Bradley before the decision and he said, 'I tried hard but I couldn't beat the guy.'"

Pacquiao's loss sparked outrage in his native Philippines. Filipinos around the world claimed the fight was "lutong bulok" (cooked rotten). Even Filipino politicians got into the act.

"President Benigno Aquino sought to console the public, stressing that Pacquiao remained a treasured sporting icon despite the loss.

'Manny Pacquiao failed to defend the WBO welterweight belt against Timothy Bradley, but the Filipino people’s support for their champion remains strong as ever,' Aquino spokeswoman Abigail Valte said in a statement.

“'This is clearly highway robbery,' senator Jose Estrada, who was at ringside in Las Vegas, told local radio in Manila by phone.

'Pacquiao clearly had more hits.'”

“Manny is still our one and only people’s champ; and we are proud of him.'”

The decision has led more than a few people to think that the Pacquiao vs Bradley fight was fixed.

Rapper 50 Cent said what many people were thinking: "Man boxing is a mess right now [whatever you do] do not watch the rematch its fixed. both fighters are with the same promoters [they're] just trying to get paid twice."

Canadian poker player and sports analyst Haralabos Voulgaris noted that there was a late surge of bets on Bradley. "Late money on this boxing match, Pac was -432 at 2pm it closed -397 at pinny. Lots of late money on Bradley."

Vouglaris went on to say, "Eagerly awaiting Italian [soccer's] response to this boxing match. Can't imagine they'll take the demotion to 2nd most corrupt sport lightly."

ESPN columnist Bill Simmons re-tweeted Voulgaris' comment, adding that he thought that it might make for a future edition of his popular documentary series "30 for 30."

Simmons added: "Never been more stunned by a boxing decision. So disgusted right now. Now we know why the odds dropped all week."

Sports blog The Big Lead noted that Timothy Bradley tweeted out a Pacquiao-Bradley re-match poster nearly two weeks ago.

Big Lead writer Jason Lisk commented, "At this point, we should remind you that Bob Arum is the promoter for both Pacquiao and Bradley. If this had been scored a decisive victory for Pacquiao, there is no rematch or at least one that is desired by the public."

Most online conspiracy theories veered towards the outlandish, but Patrick Rishe of Forbes says such theories are hard to avoid.

"Unfortunately, it’s these sorts of results that make skeptics of us all. Make us wonder if someone within the sport thought they could drum up greater interest in a Pacquiao-Bradley rematch if Pacquiao lost the first bout. Seems far-fetched, but in light of the circumstances I wouldn’t blame anyone that draws this conclusion."

Rishe adds that the sport need to look for solutions.

"But from strictly a business perspective, especially with MMA and UFC gaining such strides in popularity, perhaps boxing needs to consider re-evaluating its judging process…be it more judges or some other solution.

Because without a re-assessment of such procedures, I fear that boxing will keep taking uppercuts to perceptions of its integrity…or lack thereof."

Yahoo Sports columnist Dan Wetzel joked: "Blame here has to fall on [Pacquiao's] strategy of punching Bradley more often and harder."

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wrote: "That is horrible. Unreal. Ridiculous. Stupid. Bogus. Etc.That fight wasn't close and I was pulling for Bradley."

Retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya, who lost to Pacquiao in a 2008 fight, said, "Bradley should have given the belt and announce victory to [Pacquiao] right after the decision."

Even celebrities got into the act, commenting on the Pacquiao-Bradley decision via Twitter.

Pop star Justin Timberlake wrote: "I cannot believe what I just saw... Please tell me they read that decision wrong... #Rigged"

Comedian Dane Cook wrote that the fight might mark the death of boxing: "Somewhere in the not too distant future: A young child: "Daddy, what was boxing?"

ABC's Jimmy Kimmel took a more humorous approach, defending Pac-Man who has been a frequent guest on his late-night talk show: "Paula Abdul would have done a better job judging the @MannyPacquiao fight."

As you already know, Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO’s) will fight this Saturday on PPV, Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBO Welterweight title against former light welterweight champion, Timothy Bradley, (28-0, 12 KO’s) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Who will win this fight? Lots of boxing fans believe that this is a mismatch and that Manny Pacquiao will knock Timothy Bradley out in 5 rounds. What's my prediction? Manny Pacquiao will hand Timothy Bradley his first loss by knockout. And yes, this is a mismatch. Bradley is just too slow for Manny and an inexperienced fighter. Manny Pacquiao by knockout in round 6.

Here's Evander Holyfield's fight prediction between Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao and Mayweather Will Not Fight May 5, 2012

Sorry to break this news once again, but Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather will not fight in May 5 this year. Instead, Floyd Mayweather will fight Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico on May 5, 2012. On the other hand, Manny Pacquaio will fight Timothy Bradley on June 9, 2012.

According to Michael Collins: The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada wasn’t a good enough venue for Bob Arum to want to match his fighter WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao up with Floyd Mayweather Jr., but it apparently is more than good enough for Arum to match Pacquiao up with WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley on June 9th.

According to RingTV, Pacquiao and Bradley will meet on June 9th at the MGM Grand. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and Pacquiao’s advisor Michael Koncz met with Bradley’s manager Cameron Dunkin and an agreement was made today for the Bradley-Pacquiao fight.

This news likely won't be met with a huge amount of enthusiasm from boxing fans, as few of them wanted to see this match-up made. This was Arum' baby and it seems kind of a wrong-headed idea along the same lines as the Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey fight that was made in 2010. Clottey, like Bradley, was also a Top Rank fighter and the bout failed to bring in big pay per view numbers.

Bradley, 5'6", is even smaller than Pacquiao and not very fast or a big puncher. He's at a huge disadvantage in almost every area you can think of for this fight except for youth and wear and tear. Pacquiao, 33, is a little bit older than the 28-year-old Bradley but has been through a lot more wars than him. In Pacquiao's last four fights he's looked slower and not moved as well around the ring as he did earlier in his career. There has been excuses about Pacquiao suffering leg cramps but that excuse is rather hallow given that Pacquiao's movement has been limited for his last four fights, not just his last one. You can make a strong argument that Pacquiao didn't deserve a win in his last fight against the near 40-year-old lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao got the win but looked older than Marquez.

Bradley isn't much of a threat to beat Pacquiao, so this shouldn't be a fight that derails the Pacquiao gravy train. In addition to this fight, Arum is looking to put together an April 14th fight between Marquez and Lamont Peterson at the Cowboys' stadium in Arlington, Texas. The winner of Pacquiao vs. Bradley and Marquez vs. Peterson will meet in November. There won't be a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in 2012 if this little tournament happens, but then again the chances of a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight happening were slim and none even without the tourney.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Jail Sentence Postponed Until June

Mayweather was recently handed a three-month jail sentence for domestic battery, which cast doubt on any fight. However last week it was postponed by a Vegas judge until June - paving the way for the May 5, 2012 proposed fight between him and Manny Pacquiao. Boxing fans hopes of seeing this two great fighters fight in May was broken silent when Las Vegas judge sentence Floyd Mayweather Jr to 90 days jail sentence supposedly beginning this month. Luckily for boxing fans who loved to see this most awaited fight, this fight of the century may happen in May. Floyd Mayweather calls out Manny Pacquiao. According to Yahoo Sport UK Floyd Matweather taunted Manny saying, "My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in," he added. "Step up Punk." Pacquiao has not responded to Mayweather's taunt, and has not updated his Twitter feed for a month.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Is Sentenced To Jail For 90 Days

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. may duck and hide from Manny Pacquiao, but he sure cannot run away from the law. Floyd Mayweather is going to jail for 90 days and that's the bottomline. Now he needs to put his mouth where it belongs, he has to serve time for allegedly battering his girlfriend in 2010. Shame on you Floyd! You maybe a winner outside the ring, but your actions outside the ring is a doing of an absolute loser.More On Floyd Mayweather's Jail Story

Because of this court judgement, the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, jr. is now put on hold. Many boxing fans were anticipating the two boxing icons to fight on May 5, 2012. Read More On Pacquiao And Mayweather Fight In Question

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 Highlights

Manny Pacquiao defeated Juan Manuel Marquez by a majority decision on their fight night in MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada on November 12, 2011. Many pro Marquez fans didn't like the judges decision and their reaction echoed the entire MGM grand arena with boos and disappointment. Juan Manuel Marquez was so disappointed that he walked out of the ring without giving a post fight interview in the ring. However, HBO commentator, Max Kellerman was able to interview him in his dressing room with a spanish interpreter. Juan Manuel Marquez's interview with Max Kellerman basically revolved around how he was robbed during the fight and that he had clearly won the fight.

Manny Pacquiao's interview on the other hand with Max Kellerman showed confidence that he won the fight. Manny Pacquiao believed that Marquez didn't want to fight and that all he did was to wait for him to make a mistake.

Was the controversial fight between Pacquiao and Marquez really a robbery as what Marquez and his trainer claimed to be? Absolutely not.

Here are my reasons why:

1.) To beat a champion, you must show aggression and win convincingly in front of the judges. Marquez fought well and countered Pacquiao well, no doubt that Marquez and his trainer Nacho Beristain did an excellent job in preparing for this fight. However, you cannot win a fight without pressing the fight to happen. Waiting for your opponent to make a mistake and throw the first punch will not cut to win it. Marquez was the challenger and to be a able to beat the champ Manny Pacquiao in front of the 3 judges, he must show them that he is hungry to take the title away from Pacquiao and initiate the action to fight. The rounds were close but would the judges give a 10-9 round in favor of Marquez if all he did was to wait for Pacquiao to take action? I don't think so. Maybe at least knock him down or something.

2.) Foot Stepping by Marquez-One other thing boxing fans noticed during the fight was Juan Manuel Marquez stepping on Manny Pacquiao's foot several times. Was this intentional or a dirty tactic? View this video from Michaeldseller

3.) Based on the punch stats from HBO, Pacquiao still came up with higher percentage of total punches that landed compared to Marquez and threw more punches than him. Clearly, Pacquiao was more aggressive than Marquez during their fight. In addition, Judges don't just base their decision with punches. If the round is almost even, they will give the fighter the winning round based on ring generalship.

3.) Marquez's psychological aspect of him winning the fight and thinking that he's winning every round made him lose the fight. He back pedalled, he waited, and left a negative impression towards the judges. He could have pressed the action the last two rounds, and yet he didn't.

With every great boxing matches there are always 2 warriors battling it out in the ring. No holding back and no retreat. Marquez'z performance was a disappointment to me. He made this third fight against Pacquiao one step lesser fight than the other two as far as excitement was concern. All he did the whole fight was wait for Manny Pacquiao to make a mistake and counter him. He did not press the action. He was to cautious to mix it up and engage to action first. He back pedalled as if he was too scared to make a mistake and get knock down again. He probably believed that if he didn't taste the canvas during the fight, he would win the fight. He should've thought that he should've engaged to action and work to have knocked Pacquiao down instead of him thinking how he shouldn't get knock down to win.

Now that you've watched the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 Highlights, was it a robbery? I don't think so. The fight between Pacquiao and Marquez for the third time was not a robbery. It was quite a controversy for boxing fans who didn't really understand the dynamics of boxing and also for fans that were expecting Manny Pacquiao to knock Marquez out during this fight.

Pacquiao vs Marquez III Official Weigh In

Manny Pacquiao came in at 143 pounds and Juan Manual Marquez weighed 142 .
The Filipino hero and the current pound for pound king, Pacman will slug it out with three time world champ Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time this weekend. The Pacquiao-Marquez 3 will happen this November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Who will win this third fight between this two boxing icons. Watch this prediction from theblitzchannel.

Now that you've watched the video prediction, who do you think will win between the Filipino spit fire Manny Pacquiao and the Mexican sensation Juan Manuel Marquez?

Do you want to hear my prediction? Alright boxing fans, here's my short prediction to this upcoming boxing match. This will be a competetive fight just like the first 2 encounters between these fighters. The key to this fight is played by Juan Manuel Marquez. How will he fight with his heavier weight and will he maintain his speed and power in this weight class. Manny Pacquiao has already proven himself fighting at a heavier weight successfully. He kept his speed and power and continued to polish his boxing skills in the ring. Manny Pacquiao was quite raw when he fought Marquez during his first two meetings with him. He surely learned and honed his skills more. Marquez's fight against Mayweather at a heavier weight wasn't too impressive. It was clear that the additional weight slowed him down and decreased his punching power. As to my prediction, I will take Manny Pacquiao to win by a technical knockout in round 11 or 12. Pacquiao's speed and power will be too overwhelming for Marquez as the fight goes on to later rounds.

Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz Post Fight Interview

This You Tube video is uploaded and courtesy of Floydmayweather.
