Dot net is the Microsoft technologies product. This is useful to create business oriented applications. There are lot of new concepts have come. In that some of the main concepts are WCF Services, WPF(Windows presentation foundation),Generics , Linq (Language integrated query) and WF(Work Flow).
WCF Services:
WCF is Windows communication foundation. It is service oriented architecture. A service is a construct that exposes one or more endpoints, each of which exposes one or more service operations. The endpoint of a service specifies an address where the service can be found, a binding that contains the information that a client must communicate with the service, and a contract that defines the functionality provided by the service to its clients.
WPF:
The Windows Presentation Foundation is Microsoft's next generation UI framework. It is used to create applications with a rich user experience. WPF used to create the applications in UI, 2D graphics, 3D graphics into one single framework.
LINQ:
LINQ (Language Integrated Query) is a Microsoft programming query model. LINQ offers a compact, expressive, and intelligible syntax for manipulating data. The real value of LINQ comes from its ability to apply the same query to an SQL database, a dataset, an array of objects.
WF:
