My homie Marcus Riley over at NBC 5 just put me on to this. I'll let him tell it:

We threw a '70s style party this week in homage to a new book that focuses on Chicago South Side nightclubs in the mid 70s (Light: On The South Side). Lots of great content, and more coming. We basically tried to recreate the era and took a bunch of cool pics and video. There'll be a story on "The Talk" on NBC Sunday morning at 7:30 and another Tuesday at 4:30.

This video is hysterical. I actually got a chance to meet and drink Hennessy with Mr. Maurice Hennessy while he was in town a few weeks back. I asked him the exact same question: "What did you think about Kanye and his bottle of Henny at the VMAs?", and like a true gentleman, he didn't really answer it. Pow!

Here he talks with Leon Rogers and Tony Sco of WGCI's "The Morning Riot" about Kanye, Taylor, having such a powerful last name, and introduces the new brand of Henny: Hennessy Black. It's good!

Sidenote: I wonder how Mo liked "U.M.C." blaring in the background during the interview. I mean, Common was on that Hennessy Artistry Tour. But...

After we leaked a few tracks last week FSD favorite Mike Schpitz is back with the full 9th Wonder inspired mixtape titled Love Potion No. 9th: The Hangover.

I'll leave you with a some words from the man himself.

“Love Potion Number 9th: The Hangover’ is an A side B side tape inspired by with all beats borrowed from 9th Wonder. The A side is 8 songs that were released back in 2007 as a part of the original “Love Potion Number 9th”. After receiving lots of positive feedback, the B Side, “The Hangover” was recorded. Spanning from early 2008 to the summer of 2009, “The Hangover” is the result of releasing and gaining support from the original. After promoting the debut album “Sunday Drive”, “Love Potion” started receiving even more positive feedback and interest, so “The Hangover” portion, which was previously unreleased, was added to complete the tape.
