YP has definitely been getting it in lately. Last night he stopped by Cosm Roks and DJ Monky's The Hip Hop Project radio show on Loyala's WLUW to spit a few bars and talk about his upcoming album, Classified.

I will tell you this, I've heard Classified and the album is bonkers. Yes, I used the word bonkers, and it's probably some sort of cool violation. Whatever.

Also, be on the lookout for Cosm Roks upcoming collabo mixtape with FSD (among others) entitled Windy City Soul. It drops Tuesday, so make sure to come back for that one.

In an interview with AllHipHop.com , No ID speaks on how he, Jay-Z, Kanye, Young Guru and Don Chi (Don Chi Chi?) dreamed up the concept for Jigga's latest smash, "Death of Autotune"

AllHipHop.com: Let’s talk about the D.O.A record, the Jay-Z record that everyone is talking about. What was the thought process behind the record? How did it come together?

NO ID: Actually we were all in Hawaii. It’s actually a pretty good story. There was a debate going on in the studio and some of the main components were Timbaland, Kanye, Jay, Guru, Don Chi, I was in there, and some others and there was a Dj in there. And we were just going over all the records and talking about the sonic direction of the project. And somehow it got to one of the Dj’s saying that Jay needed a record that can hit the kids like Soulja Boy does. And the conversation went a little further and then Don Chi was like..I don’t know about that. And Jay was even like he didn’t know about that. And in that climate I had that beat in my computer unfinished. So I just put my headphones on during the conversation and I finished making it. Then after awhile Kanye was like play what you got in your computer right there. So I played it and then he immediately walked over to Jay and gave him the concept and the chorus. And that’s pretty much exactly how it came about. He was like this song right here should be like dissing everything that is not real. Then Jay took it home that night and the next morning he had the song laid.

He just filmed another (yes, another) video from the album, and this time it's for the Traxster-produced "Your Body", which features Johnny P and Do or Die. By now I'm sure you all know Erika Sevon as the hook provider for Twista's hit single "Wetter", and if you didn't, you do now.

Well, she has a mixtape dropping next week, and prior to the full release, you'll be able to download and preview a song a day on Fake Shore Drive, starting 7/6/09. That's Monday, for those of you not into numbers.

Yesterday, Twista SHUT DOWN the Westside of Chicago for his video shoot for "American Gangster", which is set to appear on his upcoming album, Category F5. I'm being told that the shoot was so thick, that they had to change locations and were shut down three separate times.

I touched briefly on this list a few weeks ago when Writers Block Club released a teaser clip for their now-released third issue. So if you missed it, let me fill you in: Writers Block Club, a Chicago e-magazine, just released a list entitled '25 Rappers From the Chi You Should Know Already...', which some might take as the Top 25 most buzzing emcees in the City of Wind, who have yet to blow on a national scale.

I wasn't sure who was going to make the list, or if I would agree on who DID make the list, but now that it's released, I'd figured I'd post it for sh*ts and giggles and to see what everyone thinks.
