The company I work for is moving to Brooklyn, OH in March. So, my apartment search has been focused in the Lakewood area for its close proximity to a park and Downtown Cleveland.

There was a 2-hour gap between Saturday's viewing appointments that gave me a chance to walk around Edgewater Park. It was raining intermittently with strong winds. Once the weather cleared, it felt unseasonably warm.

How I Ended The Holidays in NYC (Part 3)

It was 4:00 PM as we made our way to The Dead Rabbit NYC for spirits and cocktails. Knowing that it was an Irish bar that we were going to, I already made up my mind to order Irish whiskey instead of my usual Islay Scotch whisky.

The only Irish whiskey known to me is the Jameson Standard Blend so I turned to the bartender for his recommendation. He steered me toward single malts.

We then headed to Ernesto's, a new Spanish restaurant in the Two Bridges that serves various pintxos, fish and meat dishes. Check out @FatKatEats' Instagram images.

Our last stop for the night was Ugly Kitchen in the East Village. The ladies had beers while I had whiskey. It was a wonderful nightcap to end the last day of my Christmas holiday in NYC!

SuperReal is an immersive, multimedia art experience that blurs the lines between the real and the surreal as if stepping into the world of dreams. Unfolding inside the historic Grand Hall at 25 Broadway, above a 12,000 sqft mirror floor, SuperReal transports you into a collection of five dreamlike experiences.

Once inside, it was quite a visual experience to behold! The light display and music were mesmerizing. There were floor pillows that you could lie on and gaze at the ceiling. White balloons floated, bouncing from hand to hand, around the hall. The surreal experience was emphasized to the max by the floor reflections of the constantly changing displays. We both agreed that a toke or two would make the visual experience a lot more 'trippy'! 🤪

How I Ended The Holidays in NYC (Part 1)

As the Holiday season came to close and I was driving back to CLE the next day, I spent my Saturday in Downtown New York. We had plans of driving to Cold spring in Upstate NY but the weather wasn't ideal for any sort of outdoor activities. Last-minute online searching and planning were needed to fill the void.

BabyDoll found us tickets to SuperReal, an immersive, multimedia art experience at the historic Grand Hall at 25 Broadway.

We arrived at the venue an hour early for our time slot. That gave me time to capture the touristy activities going on around me.

It was a reversal of traditional roles: Painters contracted by the owners of an unoccupied building in Queens, New York, worked under the cover of night Tuesday morning to white wash years of graffiti that had turned 5Pointz into a street art mecca.

Lexus LF-LC Blue Concept

The Lexus LF-LC Blue Concept, which is spun off the Lexus LF-LC Concept shown earlier this year at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, made its formal debut at the 2012 Sydney Auto Show. It gets a lighter body mass thanks to more carbon-fiber parts. Lexus rates the LF-LC's hybrid drivetrain, dubbed Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, at 500 horsepower.

As seen at the recently concluded SF Auto Show at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA.

Images were captured through a vintage Pentax 50mm f/1.2 lens on a Canon EOS 30D.

Some newer cameras make it even easier to create a tilt-shift effect in your image. This one was done using the Olympus E-P2's Art Filter Diorama. Just select the focal point and, voilà, your tilt-shift image is done!

I had the white balance set to incandescent in this shot and it turned out too blue. So I increased the hue and contrast beyond what I normally do and came up with this silhouetted Philly skyline.
