Ashraful Masjid is a beautiful mosque that happens to be about 196 years old. It is situated in the heart of the city Amroha which is 130 km eastern side of the national capital of India. It is beautifully ornamented with traditional motives created by experts of the year 1825. Consisting of the main hall with two tall minarets measuring 80 ft and a courtyard. The celling of this about to be a 200-year-old mosque is a masterpiece of fine craftsmanship.

Haji Sheikh Ashraf Ali was from Azeemabad a then village near Amroha. He was a rich person and on his advent in Amroha, was mesmerised by the climate and calmness of this city. He finally decided to stay in Amroha.

According to the history of the city, Amroha Ashraful Masjid was constructed by Haji Sheikh Ashraf Ali in the year 1825 CE or 1241 Hijri according to the Islamic calendar. This mosque was then constructed single-handed. The architect of this present marvellous building was Dildar Hussain Mistry Lakhnavi, who commenced the work in the year 1866 expanding the then Ashraful Masjid which was a small mosque then. The ornamental work of this mosque was carried in the year 1883 CE or 1300 Hijri by Imam-e-Jumma (Chief Cleric) Moulana Aulad Hasan.
