Steep in a pint  of boiling for a half hour. Strain through a cloth, put in a granite cooking pan (do not use aluminum), add one pound of cocoa fat or Crisco. Boil this slowly, stirring frequently, until it has boiled down to the consistency of salve. This is an excellent salve for itch or eczema of any kind. Healing lotion, is very useful in itch and eczema, it is healing and soothing. If you do not wish to make the salve, bathe the affected parts with the tea, as directed above.
