Summer season in Philippines comes in the month of March to April.. I think?! Enough of the Meteorology lessons.

Anyways, my cousins came here in Cebu to get away from the busy life they have in Manila. We spent time at a

private beach and eventually I got some pictures..

My home is the sweetest, the loveliest and the best place in the world. In spite of its shabbiness, I still prefer it to any beautiful places on the globe. I would sacrifice all the comforts and luxuries of a modern building in a distant place in exchange for the simple dwelling place, my sweet home!

What is Sinulog?

Sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the Santo Nino. The dance moves to the sound of the drums and this resembles the current (Sinulog) of what was then known as Cebu’s Pahina River. Thus, in Cebuano, they say it’s Sinulog.
More than just the meaning of the word is the significance of the dance. Historians now say that Sinulog, which is of pagan origin, is the link between the country’s pagan past and its Christian present. Let’s trace its history.

My Moalboal Experience

Me and my girlfriend went to Moalboal on the southern part of Cebu on December 17 for a Christmas party. We travelled there through a hired van. There were 17 of us and we paid 160Php each, so 160 x 17 (You do the math!). Anyways, the travel time was more or less 3 hours and I placed a map below the places that we went through before reaching Moalboal. We arrived at around 5 in the afternoon just in time for a beautiful sunset. We stayed in HK Beach resort. There were cottages for 400Php for an overnight stay. If you wanted to stay on a room, it’s also available for 2000Php for 4 persons.

The place was amazing! The beach has clear blue waters and white sand, a good recipe for relaxation. It was also a good thing since the resort didn’t have many people that day so we practically had the place to ourselves. Although it was a raining a little, the beach was still warm and a good time for swimming. We all had a very fun time and I can’t wait to go back there anytime soon. I’m sharing this because I want you to experience what I have experienced in Moalboal.

I really don't much of it's history but I think this is very old. With the rusty metal stairs and cracking sidewalls makes it more obvious. This is me and my friends hang out. I've been to this place more than half of my life and I'm pretty sure there will be more of those years. It doesn't matter if it is a good or a bad memory as long as it will last forever. I will post my friends pictures and the street below the reservoir soon! See ya!

I love to eat this stuff...This is a fresh corn boiled into hot water wiped with margarine and cheese powder.. These are common in our streets and can only be bought 20 pesos each..Very affordable!

We call this "Banderitas" in which for me symbolizes Food haha! In the Philippines every town that celebrates a feast of a certain Saint, all the streets should be filled up with Banderitas. I'm not really sure what's it called in English so let it be... If anyone of you knows just put it in the comment section. LET THE FEAST BEGIN!

This first post is dedicated to my one and only 2 year old daughter Kassandra. This picture was taken while we were watching a mardi gras for the feast of our patron saint “Birhen Sa Regla” (Virgin of the Rule) – we honor her feast every 19^th and 20^th of November. This was her first time seeing a mardi gras and I can feel that she loves it. I want to post this because I really want her to know that I love her so much. I may not be a perfect Father but I’m willing to risk everything just to make her happy.
