Our friends at Elastic Wonder did it again and came up with the affordable LeggingShoes™. In case you haven't heard about Balenciaga's version the PantaShoes, let me fill you in. This new pair of leg/shoe wear for women are a hybrid of pants and shoes combined - or in Elastic Wonder's case it's leggings and shoes. They have a body conscious fit and are inspired by fetish catsuits. On the runway they look something like this:

Needless to say the designers at Elastic Wonder became obsessed with this new fashion fetish and they guessed right and predicted that there must be countless women searching for a pair of affordable quality PantaShoes right about now. Just as they did.

There were only a few really bad copies of the Pantashoes on the market: too sheer, made with low quality fabric that does not stretch back (no recovery), does not stretch enough or stretches too little depending on your shoe and body size (you can't choose your body size!) and really uncomfortable shoes.

Facing the seemingly only option of spending $2850 on a pair of Balenciaga PantaShoes. The design team decided to make a pair themselves. If you think that's a bit ambitious and you're asking "What are your qualifications?" While that's a fair question, remember that those folks are specialized in leggings own their own fashion label and know the do's and don't's of working with spandex fabric, all they had to do was change the pattern to include the cover of a stiletto shoe!

A Striking Postcards Series That Aims To Soothe Your Daily Urge To Protest

"The scenery is beautiful - wish you were here" postcards from the past indeed no longer paint an accurate picture of the reality of 99% of Americans. In 2018 we have an existential crisis with homelessness at an all time high and a lack of affordable housing.

Back in 2011 some folks started a movement in New York City called "Occupy Wall Street" against corporate corruption and rising inequality, receiving global attention and spawning a surge against economic inequality. Today in 2018 we feel the need to protest daily and we are reminded of what the original protest of the new Millennium stood for and foretold us would happen if nothing was done. Not enough was done and happening it is.

Photographer Carl Posey was on location in 2011 and his captures of the Occupy Wall Street Protest portray priceless historic documentation.

Indeed, it is still Summer and I can't bear the thought of it ever ending! It has been a wonderful one. It's my very first to spend here in sunny California and I hope I will be living many more... My birthday just passed too. Well, I know you are busy enjoying your special time too, where ever you may be spending your Summer, but I wanted to remind you to be consciously enjoying every minute of this wonderful time of the year, so I went back to one of our earlier shoots from this season and picked one for this post. I love the light in this one and the oh so loved palm trees lining up behind gorgeous model Arianna! It portrays perfectly the carefree vibe of California and the hippie style which is very present here. So with this, I let you go about your business and I'll go about mine... Happy Summer 2014!

How's your Summer been so far?

I am loving the warm sunshine on my winter prone pale skin. In terms of style, I've been really choosy... maybe not in the way you think. I am talking about getting my style in a casual way, something more layed back than the recent fitted, taylored trend of Spring and even Winter... I have been picking cottons in pastel colors and whites... here is one of our most recent designs which is perfectly zen for these hot days. (Buddha must have the most serene face features ever!) It works in the city and at the beach, just don't forget to pack it when you go on vacation, it's just a daily go to dress, so easy and still pretty dressy due to the elaborate printing and tie dye features. Anyway, just wanted to check in and let you know what I am up style wise right now.

Ever had to trash someone on the Internet? Well I never did, until today.. I am a Magneto Go customer and ordered a theme from wizardmadness.com and they have completely failed me in every way. Not only have they been unable to install the theme and/or supply the services I ordered and I purchased, but they also have not refunded the money I paid... as per their own disclaimer of withdrawal prominently displayed on the site, they should. Consider yourself warned if you ever get blinded by the pretty themes they sell... unfortunately your money goes directly into the pay pal account of Rawi Rai in Kathmandu, Nepal and you will never see it again :( You will also get some pretty rude emails from Rawi along the process and those are written in a very bad English language.

Chances are this is your first blog post NOT advertising a Black Friday sale (Or your first newsletter NOT advertising a Black Friday sale).

We think that's cool. Yes, that's right. We're NOT having a sale. We pride ourselves to be individualists. That also means we like to have sales when others don't. We certainly won't have them because everybody else has them. And to be frank, we could not afford to sell our clothing at 80% off - no way!
You heard right. Going sale percentages are 50%, 75% even 80% off... as witnessed by IDILVICE herself recently at a mall on 34th Street in Manhattan (header image). A 10-15% off sale or even 25% off won't do any longer.
Have you asked yourself why in the world are they offering you such low prices? Duh, the economy! But it's the economy because most items on local shelves nowadays are imported from China and from other faraway places, not made in local factories, which employ your neighbor or maybe yourself. That's why. But you already knew that. Yet, you keep buying those cheaply made items, which do absolutely nothing to save your beloved world and your beloved America. In the contrary, you are aware that the little money you spend will keep China afloat but will eventually bring America down. If that's what you want...?

Instead you could save that small change and make it become a larger sum, which will allow you to buy a quality American made product, which supports your dream! Or, do something altogether different with your money. Don't buy anything, give it to someone in need.

This way, you will soon see your favorite American products on sale again in an economy that's booming...

Here's a little history on Fashion Made In America: More than 3 years ago, The New Yorker Magazine published an article (with newly elected First Lady Michelle Obama - herself a noted supporter of American Made Fashion - on its cover), which focused on 'Made In America' products. IDILVICE Fashion was mentioned in it along with the few local designers, such as Oscar De LaRenta and Anna Sui, left being manufactured in New York City. Read the article now! The writer and publishers already saw back then were we would be with this in 2012 and beyond. Designers like Oscar De LaRenta, Anna Sui and IDILVICE, do not have 80% Off sales in 2012 and neither will they in 2013.

In 1950, nearly a third of employed Americans worked in factories. In 2009, it was about ten per cent. I suspect today it's less than that.
No time for sadness. Are you with us? The best times are yet to come!

And in the spirit of always ending on a good note, what are we looking up to when we are not as strong as we would like to be? Heroes and heroines. Love. Family. Although this is not the latest Hollywood release, we think Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games embody the perfect heroes for times like these, ridden by super storms and financial crisis. May their strength and love for each other bring you hope this season!
