It's time to take away the Reverend Al Sharpton's matches.

In recent days, the infamous racial arsonist has been cranking up the incendiary language, with potentially deadly results. Is the reverend's body count insufficiently high?

Sharpton now benefits greatly from a nationally syndicated radio program and nightly MSNBC cable talk show, tools he didn't have in the early days. That makes verbal Molotov Cocktail production a lot easier.

Obviously not satisfied with the level of ethnic tension in America today, Sharpton & Pals are using the airwaves to incite violence. From Thursday's Keeping It Real With Reverend Al Sharpton, listen as Republicans are said to be ready to kill African-Americans en masse:

AL SHARPTON (36:58): It seems like they [Republicans] act as though, some wiping out of people, some of the right-wing, is all right, it’s not all right to do to any innocent people. If you had war and people that’s one thing, but to wipe out innocent people just because of who they are like what was done in Hitler’s Germany or what was done to Native Americans is not justifiable.

ELINOR TATUM (PUBLISHER, NEW YORK AMSTERDAM NEWS): You know but Rev, I think and what is similar to Hitler’s Germany is that Hitler did not believe those people to be human.

SHARPTON: Right.

TATUM: They believed them to be subhuman and that’s I think the same thing we think people are thinking here is that you know why would they even care about them because they’re not human. And that’s how we’re [Blacks] being looked at and that’s what the scariest part of this whole thing is.

SHARPTON: That’s exactly right. Let go to Tanya in Detroit, Tanya…

Aside from the complete BS factor in their rantings, how about considering what white liberals have done to black people?

The de facto elimination of San Francisco's African-American population over the last 40 years is but one example, as is Marin County's transparent opposition to low-income housing development. We could happily find many more if they are interested, but won't hold our breath.

What's with MSNBC's Ed Schultz and special elections?

Big Eddie has become obsessed with manipulating these contests. Remember 2010's epic US Senate vote in Massachusetts? He told radio listeners he'd "vote ten times" to keep Scott Brown from winning.

More recently, he's inserted himself into the upcoming recall election targeting Governor Scott Walker (R-WI), even through visits to the state.

Does Schultz care about the future of Wisconsin? Of course not, it's about career-building stunt opportunities, truth and ethics be damned. Another focus (as we are reminded by readers): keeping public sector union ca$h flowing into his personal bank account.

In the latest example, he's falsely claiming Walker "may be a criminal" based on not much of anything factually beyond partisan mudslinging and "progressive" smear-blogging.

Responding to earlier coverage from Mediaite, he's actually doubling-down on reckless rhetoric here. From his syndicated radio program:

ED SCHULTZ (44:45): You got it right, Mediaite, I said it. When the people go into the ballot box, into the voting booth in Wisconsin, they just have to know they may be voting for a criminal! [pause] I mean, John Nichols, is that correct?

JOHN NICHOLS, THE NATION: That's, that's what an awful lot of folks in Wisconsin are saying and, um, your key word is there may, is may. Uh, we, it's not confirmed that Gov. Walker committed crimes...

Earlier, Ed went off the deep end in another area, calling criticism of Obama "treasonous". It's just another day inside the "progressive" rubber room.

Now we know why the Boston Globe is so reluctant to cover Elizabeth Warren's Fauxcahontas scandal: it thinks the whole mess is a sinister plot concocted by its tabloid rival!

That's the take expressed by longtime Globie Charlie Pierce, who recently left the infamous Boring Broadsheet for Esquire Magazine. With his strong ties to the paper's snooty regime, there's little doubt it's the same mantra repeated in the newsroom: blame the Herald!

Interestingly, none other than MSNBC libtalker Ed Schultz believes Warren needs to answer questions arising from the scandal.

Just over a month ago, Newark Mayor Cory Booker was hailed as a hero for saving a woman from a raging house fire. Now, after a slight critique of Barack Obama's re-election strategy, he's become the devil incarnate. Who says liberals don't eat their own?

Salon, for example, now calls him "the surrogate from Hell".

Playing the guilt-by-association card, the far-left Think Progress site and others are pointing to long-ago campaign contributions from Bain Capital, Romney's old firm. And Chris Matthews, for his part, is predictably apoplectic.

To really go over the top, however, one of our crazed libtalk friends must be temporarily released from the rubber room. This time, the honor goes to MSNBC talking head / RFK Jr associate Mike Papantonio, who labeled Booker (who, like "Pap", is an attorney) "a parasite" during yesterday's edition of the Ed Schultz Show:

MIKE PAPANTONIO (10:05): [Newark Mayor Cory] Booker's trying to get on the radar here. Well, he's on my radar. And I'd like to tell him the same thing I tell lawyers in my firm. I tell a lawyer that a lawyer who's unwilling to aggressively work for positive social engineering is nothing more than a social parasite. That's all they are.

Memo to other "progressives": as with many other crime families, one deviation from the script is all it takes to see a career flushed down the toilet, no matter how loyal one has been in the past. Cory Booker is now a man without a movement.

Why did Randi connect Levin to drugs? It truly appears random here, coming just after (obviously frustrating) news that Travon Martin had substances in his bloodstream at time of death. The Smear-O-Matic took over from there.

In the Biden family, the gaffe-le doesn't seem to fall far from the tree.

At a time when Vice President Joe Biden slips up verbally almost daily, his son is now getting into the act as well. Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, at one time considered a rising star in politics, couldn't seem to get the words out of his mouth during an interview yesterday with Ed Schultz.

The kicker: he made the same blunder that caused (predictable lefty) ridicule for Sarah Palin back in 2008, the "O'Biden" flub.

BEAU BIDEN (04:13): well, you know, look, I'm down here in the Commonwealth of Virginia, down in your old neck of the woods here. I'm actually across the water here in Portsmouth and on my way to Norfolk and we're here with the national director of the Veteran and Military Families for O'Biden launch, for, uh, Obama launch.

And here's Palin's 2008 slip-up:

We're (quite safely) guessing the media establishment with give the junior Biden a pass here. But the real question is whether Beau will also emulate Joe's more recent "crazy guy on the warpath" routine.

As noted by Rush Limbaugh yesterday:

RUSH LIMBAUGH: I played some sound bites of Joe Biden yesterday. He literally lost it. Just lost control, and it sounds that way. When you see the video -- we're gonna play the sound bites again with a couple of new ones -- when you see Biden saying what you're going to hear, he looks off balance, out of kilter, not all there in the eyes.

It is the strangest, strangest thing. And everybody was talking about it yesterday. Was he doing it on purpose? What's he up to here?

One of the theories is that Biden is genuinely fearful that they're gonna get rid of him, and he's doing everything he can to stay on the ticket.

In fact, that theory has it that Biden purposely went on Meet the Press and said that as far as the administration is concerned, same-sex marriage is totally acceptable to us now, totally fine. I have no problem with it. And of course we've now heard that that was not planned, and that this forced poor old Obama's hand because Obama really wasn't through evolving.

But this sped up Obama's evolving. Because Obama had already reached his decision. He let the cat out of the bag to Robin Roberts. He had already reached his decision. He just didn't want to announce it now. He wanted to announce it either before the convention or sometime this summer to get more bang out of it.

No question, this is one bizarre family.

To the point of political abandonment, the president's sudden gay marriage flip-flop has some African-American pastors feeling burned, but that has the Reverend hopping mad. The MSNBC prime-time propagandist sees their withdrawal of Obamist support as traitorous disloyalty.

The bottom line: while pastors adhere to a set of moral beliefs, Al places partisan politics above all else.

During yesterday's syndicated radio show, Sharpton lashed out at blacks who stood by Bill Clinton during the Lewinsky mess but are now ditching the Dear Leader.

Funny, we don't recall Sharpton criticizing Clinton at the time for his "sin", do you?

Yes, there was left-wing unity behind Bubba, but now that's been recast as "slobbering" support. So it's hard to understand how Sharpton can consider himself above-board here.

AL SHARPTON (16:21): When I start hearing people say I disagree with his [Obama] position I’m all right with that, I respect that there are things we can disagree with. So what is the difference in this man [Obama] taking a position and an opinion, not committing the act, just saying I’m all right with the legal right for people to do this and people that have committed acts, we didn’t do that to. That’s why I say a lot of these guys are hypocrites. They had prayer meetings for Bill Clinton! Some of the same ones you talking about. Prayer meetings! If the plan was to drive our "progressive" friends absolutely nuts ahead of election day, then (so far, at least) it's a resounding success.

Nothing drives lefties batty like positive developments in the life and career of arch-nemesis Rush Limbaugh. As they're still furious over the mere continuation of his program, yesterday's surprise honor at Missouri's State Capitol has the potential to send more than a few over the edge.

It was enough to distract the left's Smear Machine for a few hours before reverting to the usual mindless gay-baiting and other slimy tactics.

El Rushbo's induction into the Hall of Famous Missourians was closed to the public and kept secret until his bust was unveiled to attendees and the media. That sent Democratic legislators into a tizzy, but how else could this be done given substantial security risks?

Dems were quick with ridiculous spin, according to KMOX:

“It is quite clear from their handling of the Limbaugh ceremony that Republicans were ashamed of what they were doing and wanted as few people as possible to witness it. When you take great steps to hide what you’re doing, it usually means that you know what you’re doing is wrong,” said House Assistant Democratic Leader Tishaura Jones, D-St. Louis.

According to press reports, President Harry Truman, Mark Twain, Walt Disney, George Washington Carver and Stan Musial are already featured at the Capitol.

If you're ready for a wager, let's guess how long it will take before "progressives" try to attack the statue or remove it from the hall.

But the bottom line is clear: Rush Limbaugh truly IS one of the most famous individuals to emerge from the state of Missouri, more than justifying his presence there.

Almost out of the blue, citizenship has become a major political issue over the past week. Between former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann's bizarre U-turn over her secondary Swiss nationality to a Facebook co-founder's tax-dodging American renunciation, it's clearly a hot potato.

For a truly baffling take, however, look no further than to MSNBC's Ed Schultz, who's been ripping the Minnesota congresswoman over the Swiss matter.

That might be considered reasonable to some, but he then threw radio listeners a curve by announcing his intent to apply for Canadian citizenship!

Here's what Big Eddie told his syndicated radio audience:

ED SCHULTZ (21:27): Holmy, this is the best story I've had in a long time because now the righties, because I eventually am going to get dual citizenship. I'm going to go down the road of being a Canadian. I'm going to do that, because I want to. It's not 'cause I don't dislike America. [yes, he actually said this]

It's just because they're in our hemisphere, we're in a global economy. Now let me tell you the real truth, they have health care, we don't! And I pay taxes up there and so what the hell! Why not be a Canadian too?

HOLM (PRODUCER): That's it, you're paying taxes in both places. So it's not like you're dodging taxes ...

SCHULTZ: That's right!

HOLM: ... by having a Canadian fishing lodge.

SCHULTZ: That's right.

The latest: "progressive" MSNBC contributor / radio host / trial lawyer Mike Papantonio has reached into LBJ's 1964 playbook to portray Mitt Romney as a nuclear madman.

It's O-tomic warfare!

Attempting to restrain his giggling at one point, "Pap" seems to know his rhetoric is absurd. But that doesn't stop the Romney = Goldwater mantra from being chanted several times during the Ed Schultz Show (where he's a regular TV / radio fill-in host).

From Friday's syndicated radio broadcast:

MIKE PAPANTONIO (19:03, initially referring to caller): Will, I gotta tell you, this is an important election. It's not just about the economy. I am telling you. Imagine, imagine a, a, a big mushroom cloud in the background of Mitt Romney every time you look at him, because he has surrounded himself with people who would do that in a second.

PAPANTONIO (28:46): When I see this guy give a speech, I visualize a mushroom cloud behind his head, because that's what he's about! I mean, if you think about it, that's what he's about!

It's hard to remember the last time a candidacy has imploded faster than Elizabeth Warren's in Massachusetts. The loopy Bay State Democrat has been crushed by revelations she's long claimed, falsely, to be an ethnic minority.

At best, she's 3% Cherokee.

Her own responses to press questions have been contradictory at best. The latest: she was just hoping to socialize with "other" Native Americans.

Who's running this ridiculous campaign, anyway?

But in the absence of another Democrat ready to step in to replace Warren (yes, we really ARE at that point now!), party hacks are desperately trying to throw Lizzy a lifeline. Though the story was actually broken by the scrappy Boston Herald, blaming Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) is central to this dubious strategy.

During today's Bill Press Show, the libtalk host and partisan operative guest tried to do just that, with especially dishonest results:

BILL PRESS (03 MAY 2012 - 31:20): If I were in Massachusetts, I’d be voting for Elizabeth Warren, but even more so now that I know she’s a Native American. What’s that whole thing about?

ADAM GREEN: Yeah, it’s kind of absurd. You know it’s not even a scandal, a controversy I guess.

PRESS: Scott Brown I mean is this how desperate he is?

GREEN: Totally, totally.

GREEN (33:26): It’s really important that someone like her, someone with such a distinguished record of actually, not just talking about Wall Street accountability, but doing it. You know being willing to bring Wall Street executives before her, grill them hold them accountable. Someone like that needs to be elected. It’s a really important test case and part of the reason Scott Brown is drawing up this absurd Native American issue is to distract from the other press attention that’s out there.

Think Dems will really stand by Warren for much longer? They're almost certainly lining up alternates as we speak - bank on it.

Did you hear the one about Dick Cheney stealing Trayvon Martin's heart for personal use? We hadn't either, but it's apparently been circulating for weeks.

If it were a joke, there might be a tasteless punchline to offer, but this one's merely a ridiculous conspiracy theory. Did it begin with a Jon Stewart gag?

The silver lining in this sad state of affairs is an indication that even the Reverend Al Sharpton has his limits. Who knew?

During yesterday's edition of Keeping It Real, Sharpton could barely contain his irritation as a caller asks in all seriousness whether Trayvon's heart was transplanted into the former vice president's body:

SHERRY IN SOUTH CAROLINA: I never got a clear understanding of Trayvon’s heart, was it actually given to Dick Cheney, or was it not?

SHARPTON: No I don’t know anything, I don’t think they gave Trayvon’s heart to Dick Cheney, no.

SHERRY IN SOUTH CAROLINA: Did they give it to anyone?

SHARPTON: As far as I know his heart was not donated to anyone, I have not heard that from the family at all, but I know Dick Cheney didn’t get it.

SHERRY IN SOUTH CAROLINA: Okay, all right. I’m finally cleared up on that.

SHARPTON: And that’s thank you for your call. And see that’s another thing, they put out outrageous rumors that people don’t know right from wrong, that’s why we need to stay right on these stations and give information, cause people innocently can be misinformed not trying to do anything but get the right information cause you get inundated by these people that just sit around fantasizing all day long.

Some people will truly believe ANYTHING and that's what makes this a dangerous world.

Once-Mighty Seattle Talker Barely Breathing

Welcome to a new RadioEQ feature: tracking the performance of a cynical new push to eliminate opinion-based talk radio in favor of a state-approved "lite" and "happy" version.

Though the milquetoast talk movement has picked up considerable steam as Obama's re-election campaign heats up, it's actually been in the works for years. Far-left industry insiders have been railing against Rush Limbaugh and other conservative hosts at conventions and in trade publication interviews for decades now.

In 2012, however, their dreams have finally been realized as sanitized alternatives are increasingly replacing real talk radio.

Can what's left of the ailing radio industry force the public to listen to boring programming? The answer is most certainly NO.

Today's Case In Point: Seattle's once-mighty KVI 570 AM (where your Radio Equalizer at one time worked as a host). In the mid-1990s, the station rocketed to first place on the strength of an all-conservative lineup.

But when the station was sold to Fisher Communications, a decrepit corporate remnant of the area's elitist, parochial past, the format conflicted with the board's liberal viewpoints (though it didn't mind making boatloads of money from its advertising). Gradually, they watered down the conservative programming.

Eventually, Rush Limbaugh moved to a fledgling crosstown rival and Fisher allowed KVI to atrophy. Finally in 2010, 570 switched to an oldies format, which bombed.

Four months ago, KVI returned to talk, utilizing a "lite" touchy-feely format free of controversy. At times it's vaguely liberal, but with a dippy New Age presentation.

And just to make sure KVI's new format goes absolutely nowhere, Fisher has more recently added Philly's deadly-dull Obama suck-up Michael Smerconish to the schedule.

So how is "Smart Talk" performing? After four months, it is firmly entrenched in last place overall with a tiny 0.1 share of the audience. It registers 21,800 listeners versus 913,700 for the region's top outlet, KRWM-FM. During KVI's heyday, it had a loyal following about 15 - 20 times greater than today's level.

The now-defunct Air America network was far more popular!

As for advertisers, which supposedly are shunning controversial talk, KVI's website lists only six. Hope they aren't paying more than a buck or two to reach the station's non-audience. More likely, they're actually sponsoring the company's other outlets and finding 570 thrown in for free.

What happened to being satisfied with George Zimmerman's arrest?

Now that Trayvon Martin's shooter has made a dramatic court appearance, Al Sharpton & Friends are angry over what they consider "low bail" and the ease at which that has now led to his temporary release from jail.

Sure, we could have seen this coming, but Sharpton is not at all willing to consider the prosecution's weak case or the now-ubiquitous photo of Zimmerman's bloody head that shoots down weeks of hysterical MSNBC zealotry.

GEORGE CURRY (HOUR TWO - 6:21): This Zimmerman stuff, it’s just crazy. 150.000 dollar bail?

SHARPTON: Even with the experts telling me well they get bail, that is low, I mean that’s 15,000 dollars.

CURRY: Yeah yeah I thought that they’d been higher than that.

SHARPTON: Yeah, I’m not shocked he got bond, though I clearly think that he certainly had a basis not to give him that. But, 150.000 dollars that was certainly what they should have been.

One question: after all these years, has Sharpton ever sincerely apologized for his own (substantially higher) body count?

Earlier in Friday's show, Sharpton said he rejected Zimmerman's apology because it hadn't come soon enough:

AL SHARPTON (6:53): Clearly I have some real questions about all of this. One, I don’t understand if one wants to look at the background of Mr. Zimmerman why there’s not the basis of holding him without bail. And I understand that some of the experts are saying they do give bail bonds to people with murder two in the state of Florida. But, clearly that was the judges call either way.

He could have, based on the violent encounter he’s had with law enforcement in the past and his girlfriend denied bail. But in terms of the apology, I don’t take apologies lightly. I forgave the guy who tried to kill me leading a march.

But, I think the family raises a critical point and that is that at no point in over fifty days between the killing and his arrest did Mr. Zimmerman ever apologize publicly or seek to privately apologize to the family, so why now? The most objective person would have to look at the apology and question whether the timing is self-serving. So we gonna talk about it and let you give your views, but that’s the things I want to raise early.

In the Trayvon Martin shooting death, a gloating Reverend Al Sharpton is now taking credit for the unexpectedly severe charge filed against George Zimmerman. That leaves one big question: can we honestly say he's wrong?

Given his over-the-top antics in Sanford and on the air during the past several weeks, there's little doubt the Justice Brothers and their megaphones created political pressure that almost certainly contributed to Zimmerman's second degree murder indictment (as opposed to manslaughter or a minor charge).

After all, there is widespread belief he was "overcharged" and not just from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others on the right. Famed attorney Alan Dershowitz is BLASTING prosecutors today for their "thin" case.

Given that, how would the outcome have changed without Sharpton and Friends? Would Zimmerman be facing any charges at all? Is the Reverend as "effective" as claimed here?

Just in case tensions weren't high enough in the Trayvon Martin case, the head of a controversial Hispanic group appears happy to pour gasoline on the fire.

Calling for an African-American-Hispanic alliance against "common enemies", La Raza President Janet Murguia used Wednesday's Al Sharpton radio show to spread an incendiary message of hate. Happy to conveniently overlook George Zimmerman's Peruvian ancestry, Murguia made her divisive agenda abundantly clear.

Though her organization claims mainstream status, its name translates to "The Race" and is always happy to aid campus radicalism.

Amazingly, sitting in for the Reverend (himself busy spreading racial arson across the land) was Andre Eggelletion, the same host recently behind a successful campaign to suspend KFI's John & Ken for wisecracks about Whitney Houston after her recent death. Isn't brazenly planning a race war over public airwaves far more inappropriate than calling the late singer a "crack ho"?

Here at EQ HQ, it's an embarrassment of riches as libtalkers make crazy claims about fracking, take pathetic personal shots at opponents and in one case, blaze a new trail for deranged lunatics everywhere.

First, libtalker / MSNBC contributor Mike Papantonio made the outlandish claim that fracking has killed thousands of people:

Next, "civil" libtalker Randi Rhodes disparaged Rep Paul Ryan (R-WI) for daring to hold differing political viewpoints:

RANDI RHODES (12:55): But this is the reason now that [Republican Congressman Paul] Ryan looks so scary, creepy - it's kind of like God's way of warning us that he is dangerous? Kind of like the same reason that a rattlesnake has a rattle so you know it's dangerous? [Randi laughs]

Finally, though it's only April, Mike Malloy may well have won the Deranged Libtalk Rant of the Year award with this meltdown:

Did you know that counting Rush Limbaugh among your enemies justifies almost any protest action, including violence in the streets?

That's the bizarre "logic" used to give Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson a "free pass" in Florida to do what they like.

Given heightened tensions over the Trayvon Martin case, that kind of rhetoric is more than irresponsible, it's downright incendiary. And yet former MSNBC talker David Shuster, now of CurrentTV, didn't hesitate to pour gasoline on a fire during today's Bill Press Show.

Take a look:

DAVID SHUSTER (11:00): I think the other problem that Rush Limbaugh has is I think there is an intellectually solid argument for the idea that maybe Al Sharpton maybe Jesse Jackson might be going a little bit too far right now that we should, yes we should bring attention to the fact that the police did a lousy job, they should have arrested the guy.

You can bring attention to that. I think the calls for civil disobedience right now until we have some more facts maybe a little bit premature. But the fact that there’s Rush Limbaugh pounding on Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton I think gives Sharpton and Jesse Jackson a free pass. And essentially Sharpton and Jesse Jackson can do whatever they want now because their opponent is Rush Limbaugh.

So we can take this to mean Sharpton, Jackson et al aren't responsible for the resulting body count?

Meanwhile, the reverend himself isn't backing down one bit, despite taking some flak from a local NAACP chapter. From yesterday's syndicated Keeping It Real program:

BERNICE IN DETROIT: Florida is very segregated down there so therefore they wouldn't have no need for our [referring to African-Americans] help whatsoever because they don't want to commit themselves to doing wrong. But I do suggest this, in the interim why can’t they boycott because you know money talks. Can’t the blacks down there boycott their businesses down there?

AL SHARPTON: Well, I said over the weekend that we need to escalate and start talking I was talking about corporations that are supporting this [Stand Your Ground] law and all of that. And when people thought I was talking about the local they went crazy. I wasn’t even talking about that.

But I don’t think we should take anything off the table because I think you got to do what is going to be effective. I think we ought to come to collective agreement. But I think to say we’re going to take things off the table and not sit down and agree where we’re going withdraw from. I think is not to be serious. I think we’ve got to keep it moving forward and they’ve got to understand that we are serious.

The Usual Suspects are NOT about to let this go. How many innocent people will be hurt as a result?

Would you be willing to believe Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, NBC and the rest of the unhinged mob in Sanford aren't motivated by race? Or is it the funniest thing you've heard in ages?

Sharpton's recent antics have been so overt and brazen, it's hard to believe he'd even attempt to claim otherwise. Just two minutes of his increasingly hysterical MSNBC program will clear up any viewer's confusion.

Even liberal Margaret Carlson has spoken out against Sharpton (right image, via AP), saying "I See a Demagogue with Kerosene."

And yet, here's the infamous racial arsonist swearing up and down he's never claimed an ethnic motive behind the Trayvon Martin shooting or asserted George Zimmerman's guilt. Then what exactly motivated the reverend to set up camp in Florida? Or to devote so many hours of radio and television airtime to the subject?

And what made these savage Florida murders of British tourists, killed for making a wrong turn into a troubled neighborhood, NOT worth protesting (or even mentioning)?

Listen as the reverend dances around tough questioning (by shifting the racial aspect over to Trayvon's family and supporters) by a radio caller who somehow got past Sharpton's screener yesterday:

That must mean this never occurred:

"DO THE RIGHT THING! DO THE RIGHT THING! ARREST ZIMMERMAN NOW," demanded Al Sharpton of the Sanford City Commissioners.

With more than 500 people packed into the meeting, Al Sharpton had the crowd on their feet speaking about the role race played in Trayvon Martin's death.

"You are making the world know you as a place of racial intolerance and double standards," he said.

Or this:

Civil rights leader Al Sharpton warned commissioners that Sanford risked becoming a 21st century version of civil rights struggle in the South during the 1960s.

Sharpton said Martin's parents endured "insults and lies" Monday over reports that their son attacked Zimmerman.

Or this:

Following the death of Martin, Rev. Al Sharpton, the leader of Trayvon Martin rally, the Congressional Black Caucus and NAACP condemned the shooting and labeled it a racially-motivated "hate crime."

And we're guessing Al's partner in crime Jesse Jackson didn't say this:

"Racism is too real to be dismissed," said civil rights leader, Jesse Jackson, in a sit-down interview with FOX35 Saturday.

"Maybe it's a perfect storm," he said of the Trayvon Martin tragedy.

"You have a case, a vigilante, him operating outside of a bad law - who kills an unarmed 17-year old kid and then he walks away."

Reverend Jackson told FOX35 he believes the fatal shooting on February 26th was racially motivated.

"Maybe this case is kind of the tipping point that gives us insight into just how hard it is to be black in America."

He says he sees racism around the world every day, it has even affected his three successful sons.

Sharpton's doublespeak here is positively Orwellian. Is he attempting to head off blame for any upcoming violence resulting from his fire in a crowded theatre-like rhetoric?

If the reverend is reluctant to increase his body count, perhaps it's time to step aside before the situation spirals out of control.

Poor Ed Schultz: conservative "pigs" have stolen his sanity and now he wants revenge. Not that there's much proof of previous psychological stability, of course, but today he appears ready for the slingshot.

An unhinged whine-fest dominated yesterday's syndicated radio show, where the "progressive" model of civility seemingly couldn't contain his anger.

Apparently prohibited or discouraged from addressing on television the ongoing accountability campaign directed at himself, Reverend Al Sharpton and senior NBC management, Schultz used the one venue network brass doesn't control.

ED SCHULTZ (05:30): You know that I have not whined one bit. We're letting the free market play out. That, you think that our advertisers aren't getting heat from the right wing? Well let me tell you. Media Research Center, which is headed up by that bozo Brent Bozell, has gone so far as to write an open letter to Comcast trying to get rid of Phil Griffin, myself and Al Sharpton. You haven't seen me do anything on TV about this. You haven't seen me do anything on this radio show about this. Uh, some of my advertisers are getting hit. You know, some of my advertisers are being complained about. Look, this is the free market playing out.

SCHULTZ (06:16): So now this is Mark Stevens going on Fox News complaining about what's happening to his business because people are doing the sa-, let's, it's happening to me too, OK? Now you guys started it! You know, I didn't go on the air for nine hours. Your guy went on the air for nine hours, OK? And Bozell wants me fired. He wants Al Sharpton fired.

He wants Phil Griffin fired. I mean, Comcast, they're calling Comcast board members at home. That's the rumor that I'm hearing. I haven't confirmed it but that's what I'm hearing. There's an email campaign going out that's very strong from the right wing. So this is what's happening.

SCHULTZ (07:32): I'd like to see some of those emails, Mr. Stevens. I'd like to hear some, I'd like to talk to some of your employees who have gotten these phone calls that you're complaining about. You know, let's get a full vetting of this here. That's a hell of an accusation. It's almost borderline threatening and illegal what this guy described on Fox News yesterday.

SCHULTZ (08:33): And so Brent Bozell [sarcastically], he's on the Media Research Center! He is the god of content! He is the moral authority! He goes on with Hannity, Hannity plays clips over and over again. They are trying to gin up a case.

SCHULTZ (10:29): You know, if these people want to fight every day, we'll fight every day. That's OK with me. For too long, liberals were afraid to stand up to these pigs. I will.

Ed, the pigs are in place, feel free to hurl yourself into space as soon as you're ready.

Need to score cheap political points against every last conservative foe? Nothing works better than the left's patented Blame-O-Matic machine!

Just plug in today's outrage and Blame-O-Matic will do the rest. Was a child shot in Florida? B-O-M says Republicans did it. Talk radio's responsible. Rush, the Tea Party, Bush (any Bush, just choose one or two at random) Sarah Palin, Santorum, you name it, this clever device will nail them all!

A special switch even activates a Slam-Savage-American-Society-At-Large mode for added benefit.

And if a normally-reliable "progressive" makes a politically incorrect observation about the incident (okay for Geraldo, but certainly not a conservative!), a bypass lever ignores it.

Of course, inconvenient facts like George Zimmerman's Hispanic background and conflicting eyewitness testimony can quickly be swept away by the establishment media.

But even the Blame-O-Matic has its limitations. When, despite best efforts, the story begins to fade from the news cycle, Holder's Justice Department stands ready to pour gasoline on the fire.

And ALEC is pushing for the 'stand your ground' law around the country!

Sadly, the B-O-M machine is of no use in the case of two British tourists murdered in Florida last year simply for making a wrong turn into a housing project late at night. It was barely covered in the American media, though a major story in Europe.
