2012-08-20T21:13:00.001+02:00

The iPhone 5 is thus complete a new week, the fateful day of September 12 is fast approaching. Rumors are still many, it is necessary to sort to keep the best and most important.

The fingerprint reader

The new iPhone could be a nice feature with the fingerprint reader. This information has occurred on the canvas after the revelation of the takeover of AuthenTec by the Cupertino company. The latter has paid $ 356 million to provide the specialist mobile security. For several months, the two companies were talking to a potential acquisition and licensing agreement arrived on the table as soon as AuthenTec proposed this player 192 x 8 pixels. In the end, this is a redemption was achieved in July. According 24matins , Apple could therefore propose a new feature that would fit perfectly with Passbook .

However, this operation is not offered to all countries. In France, Apple fans will have to wait a few more days to receive their order as the iPhone would be available on October 5 in our country. Coming soon to this is also a first, until now Apple has never proposed this operation, but the company must act quickly, especially against Samsung that comes from multiple products.

Connector pin 8 + 1

The iPhone is often the center of many rumors, but sometimes there are confirmations made by some sites like Apple Insider . The photos show the connector so that would be available on the new smartphone. It is possible to see the 8-pin and the location of the jack. Some sites have doubts about this information, but the company iResQ is still famous.

Some find no interest in this kind of operation and prefer to sell it to finance the new particular example. Some websites specialize in reselling mobile. The smartphone will lose its value over the day, as many followers of the apple will have the same idea, sell the old model. The market will therefore have an upsurge of iPhone 4 S. You probably lose money so why not give it a second chance?

So what do you do to your phone when the arrival of the iPhone 5 ?

iPhone 5: 10 Reasons to wait for the new iPhone

2012-08-18T19:06:00.000+02:00

The new mobile from Apple is expected next month, fans are constantly chasing the rumors, rumors do not stop to reveal new information. For a change, this article, inspired by the one seen in eWeek , presents 10 reasons to expect the new iPhone .

It is clear that competition has largely caught up and surpassed the iPhone 4S. If the design is still relevant, the technical characteristics of mobile Apple are no longer really including a dual-core processor now crushed by a quad-core competition ...

The mobile market currently runs a slight drop in speed , but smartphones remain in the game and it's a safe bet that many people are just waiting for the right moment and the right smartphone for change. Here are ten good reasons to expect the new iPhone 5 .

1 - The iPhone 5 will have a better processor

Difficult to predict much about the processor of the iPhone 5 , it is one of the parts about which we have the least information. It is likely that Apple is preparing an iPhone with a dual-core processor more powerful, but logic would dictate that the firm follows the competition and features a quad-core processor.

What is certain is that Apple will not fail superlatives to praise the merits of its new smartphone in front of his predecessor, and what better than a new processor to improve performance of her new baby?

2 - We will finally get the big screen as expected

To view the latest rumors, it is difficult to imagine a new iPhone with a 3.5 "screen. The 4 "screen that many people have been waiting for several years now is very definitely part of the iPhone 5. It should provide comfort in many situations .

3 - The 4G LTE is on the way!

Now that Apple has integrated 4G LTE on its new iPad , there are chances that the iPhone 5 is also equipped with. European operators who are currently testing 4G services over their networks, are certainly among those who expect the most capable of an iPhone 4G surf.

Consumers using the 4G network will have the pleasure of having a really fast internet, browsing more pleasant than the one we know today.

4 - Galaxy S 3 must tremble against the iPhone

Many people have said that the Galaxy S 3 was the iPhone killer everyone expected, remarks which were quickly offset by the CEO of Foxconn itself, it indicates that the iPhone 5 would ridicule the Samsung Galaxy S 3 .

If today's mobile Samsung is more than a match for the iPhone 4S, it is likely that Apple put this need in its next mobile terasser competition, or at least to the same level.

5 - The current iPhone are exceeded

The previous iPhone, including the 4S are now old. Features highlighted by Apple just last year to promote its smartphone are not worth much today. It is clear that it does not worth to buy an Apple smartphone to see far exceeded in a few weeks, not counting the price of the model purchased which certainly fall.

6 - Windows Phone 8 are not yet in place

If Windows Phone has emerged as a powerful system in comparison with Windows Mobile in its time, it is still fairly established in the mobile market. The new version, Windows Phone 8 , will in turn not immediately available. Equipped mobile phones will actually be submitted by September at the earliest, and will not be on the market before the end of the year.

If you wait for the perfect smartphone for change, rather then the iPhone 5, as efficient or even more, which will be available in September.

7 - RIM is still struggling to follow the march

The BlackBerry RIM have long been considered good mobile, reliable and efficient. Today, the company is on the decline and struggling to survive, searching for the perfect solution that will allow the company to stay in the race for a few years.

8 - The iPhone is welcome in business

Was a time when RIM was required master in business, a past time now for the reasons explained above. Now, there are few mobile proved as effective and safe as the iPhone on the market for a business introduction. More efficient, the iPhone 5 might therefore find its place.

9 - Your old iPhone will soon be out of the game

Apple often updates its mobile system, but over the years the old appliances are out of the game because of their inability to follow developments. It will be remembered especially the upgrade to iOS 5 with the arrival of Siri, the iPhone 4 had been set aside as incapable of properly managing Siri. There are chances that the new iOS 6 is reserved exclusively for the iPhone 5, novelty would once again previous iPhone standout. However, in the best case, your current iPhone will support the upgrade to iOS 6 and all new, but what will happen to the next?

10 - The iPhone remains the most popular smartphone

We can say, the iPhone remains the smartphone "in". Every year, Apple gives us a new version of its smartphone, more efficient, with significant new features. With iPhone 5, Apple should bring some interesting new face to previous models, what make highly appreciated.

iPhone 5: How to manage the iOS screen 4" of the new iPhone

2012-08-18T18:55:00.001+02:00

With the arrival of the iPhone 5 , Apple should include a screen 4 ", expected by many in recent years, especially since the competition has far exceeded this standard for its smartphones. 9to5Mac has decided to focus on how Apple fit, or will adapt applications.

Clearly, a larger screen will bring some comfort for browsing the Internet, plans or watching videos. But if Apple has never changed the size of its smartphone, the firm will have to keep here a compact, with a screen that can be classed as Retina, and applications compatible with this screen.

The simplest solution

Until now, the iPhone was a mobile with a 3.5 "screen with a resolution of 960 x 640. The simplest idea that came to mind when we all spoke to integrate a larger screen on the new iPhone 5 was to keep the same resolution as all work exactly the same way, without change of appearance.

However, the increase in screen size with the same resolution would be to increase the pixel size, and thus remove the screen of the iPhone category Retina. Indeed, with 288 ppi, the iPhone 5 would be far from 326 ppi to iPhone 4 and 4S, far from defining a 300 ppi screen like Retina.

The "ideal" solution

The idea would be to change the ratio of the iPhone and switch to a 9:5 ratio by keeping the smallest part of the iPhone at the same size, but by increasing the rest. We thus find here the idea which we mentioned last week , always with a screen 960 px wide but this time 1152 px long.

But by increasing the size of the screen that way, how applications will they be adapted? How will they behave with more than 192 px on the length?

The home screen

Here, the solution is really the simplest imaginable. The home screen should simply accommodate a row of icons added. As 9to5Mac points out, Apple might take the opportunity to integrate widgets directly on the Springboard, but it might be too much fun at once.

Embedded applications

For embedded applications, Apple should not need much to change spraining some applications it integrates its mobile home. Most would fit perfectly on the screen while others would require minor modifications. We let you take a look at the mockups made:

Phone.app

Messages.app

Safari.app

Maps.app

Applications from the App Store

Many applications use the user interface elements iOS and should be adaptable in the same way that Apple applications. For others, it is unlikely that developers do not need to change their apps. One can imagine that, without modification applications with custom interfaces may extend over 960 x 640 px and be entourrées black bars of 96 x 640 px on each side.

Twitter.app

Facebook.app

AngryBirds.app

DoodleJump.app

Playing videos

The majority of videos today enjoy a 16:9 ratio and therefore almost any problem posed on the iPhone and its 3:2 screen with black bars top and bottom.

On the screen 4 "in 9:5 ratio, it would be right and left that we would observe black bands, but far from annoying, since only 7 px each.

By zooming in on the video to completely fill the screen, still a good place with only 4 pixels would be lost at the top and bottom.

Conclusion

These possibilities have been thought to follow different tests using the IOS simulator and Xcode are therefore the object of speculation. If it seems obvious that the solutions would be the best possible views, it is unclear what Apple will set up and so we must wait a little longer to see the result.

The new iPhone 5 is coming soon .

2012-08-18T18:24:00.000+02:00

Save the date: September 12, 2012 . This is the date on which should come out the new iPhone 5 . The wildest rumors are scrambling before the release of the device. The date approached, the information is confirmed.

With a 4-inch screen and a 9-pin mini connector, this iPhone 5 is expected of all. Already the first photo filter sites including the site Taiwan Apple Daily, which published a photograph of the housing of the iPhone 5.

Mini 9 pin

The iPhone 5 is distinguished from its predecessor, the iPhone 4 or Galaxy S S3 by its thickness. And this is only the first distinctive criteria. The thickness of this little phenomenon will be 7.6 mm 9.4 mm against the iPhone 4 and 4S and 8.6 mm from the Samsung Galaxy SIII.

But what are the other features of the iPhone 5? Well aware that the unit is well equipped with a mini connector. At present, the size of it is still unknown. Finally, the headphone jack of the iPhone 5 will be located at the bottom of it. This new device will make much more convenient, especially when it is in a bag or pocket.

While the latest rumors that the iPhone 5 evoked could have 19 pins, it seems that 9-pin connector is more plausible. This news is only bitter for the mobile users of Apple who will have to buy a new adapter to connect the device to their devices.

A bigger screen and better resolution

Four inches and 640 X 1136 points, these are the characteristics of the screen that the iPhone 5 will have. The iPhone will have 5 rows of icons instead of 4 present in its predecessors. This optimal resolution is to display 5 rows of icons according iOS 6.

This is the same resolution as the iPhone at present width. By cons, at height, 176 pixels are added. It is this extra height to display 5 rows of icons.

An option of passing Wifi 3G

The iPhone will have a new operating system iOS 6, version 6 operating system from Apple, which will be pre-installed on the device. In the settings of the iOS 4 beta 6, a new option will be available, that's what 24matins details . When your application will not go with Wi-Fi, you will automatically 3G.

A user then adjust its settings to decide which application will automatically switch to 3G.

Many other features will be available after the transition to a new operating system. We note for example Passbook (which allows you to scan your iPhone to register for a flight, movies ...) Siri 2.0 (an even more powerful) or IMAPS (with detailed maps and an update traffic in real time).

iPhone 5 : Is this the new iPhone's battery ?

2012-08-18T18:15:00.001+02:00

It never ceases to disclose information and pictures about the upcoming mobile Apple , supposedly named iPhone 5 or new iPhone . After having seen various photos of the exterior of the mobile, or mockups of small internal parts, it's now the turn of the battery to be unveiled.

After seeing a significant number of stolen photos of the assembled mobile in recent weeks we have had the opportunity to discover a number of parts this week including the drawer Nano Sim on Monday and yesterday internal parts . Today, it is the turn of the battery of the iPhone 5 to reveal the net.

So we can ensure, with varying degrees of certainty, that the iPhone battery 5 will be a little more efficient with 1440 mAh .

Remember that the battery of the iPhone 4 offered a capacity of 1420 mAh and the iPhone 4S offered in 1430. The difference between the batteries and the previous versions of the new iPhone is pretty light, but this information should reassure those who had questions about the effective integration of a battery on a mobile so fine.

Besides the increased capacity, the battery voltage, which was previously 3.7 on the iPhone 4 and 4S, should now be 3.8 V . Similarly, where previous posted 5.25 WHr, the new battery will whr 5.45 .

The labeling of this battery also indicates it was produced in June 2012 , which seems to correspond to leakage which we heard in recent months and could almost come to confirm the imminent availability of the new iPhone.

Be careful though, increasing the battery capacity does not increase the autonomy of the mobile. It should be recalled that the iPhone 4S, with a better battery, has a range smaller than its predecessor ...

iPhone 5: This is the time to sell your old iPhone

2012-08-18T18:08:00.001+02:00

According to sales information from eBay, NextWorth collected by the company, it may be time for your stomach iPhone now if you wish to purchase the new iPhone because its value may decrease rapidly shortly.

If the idea of separating you from your mobile for a few weeks does not scare you, it seems obvious that a sale today would be the best solution.

That said, all retail sites do not have the same ideas. Glyde's CEO, Drew Lieberman, has meanwhile indicated that there was an optimal time to sell the iPhone: the month before and the month after the release of a new model. Selling the old iPhone right out of the new model, it may be possible that you have nothing to pay to acquire your new valuable.

iPhone 5: Parts of the New iPhone 5

2012-08-18T17:34:00.000+02:00

After unveiling the Nano Sim tray and some comparison photos of the iPhone 5 against its predecessor , the Chinese sites continue to gain momentum and unveiled this time the internal components of the new iPhone 5.

Again, the components of the iPhone 5 are compared with those of the previous iPhone, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

iPhone 5: New photos comparative

2012-08-18T17:25:00.000+02:00

New photos of the iPhone 5 have been released on the Internet, with new information about the dimensions of the iPhone and the dock connector.

On one of three photos released by Apple Daily, we learn that the new iPhone 5 should be 7.60 mm thick where the iPhone 4 S is 9.3.

Other information already known that said, the screen of the iPhone 5 should be approximately 90 mm long.

The latest information concerning the new connector will happen with the iPhone 5. This should be even smaller than we thought and surrounded by a metal ring (perhaps magnetic?).

The only questionable information relayed by Apple Daily the number of pins integrated into this connector. Indeed, the site shows a 19-pin connector, but parallel, 9to5Mac noted information in the iOS 4 beta 6 in which there is talk of a 9-pin connector.

iPhone 5: 9 Pin Connector for the new

2012-08-18T06:34:00.002+02:00

We already knew that the iPhone 5 would know surely change the size of the dock connector. All these rumors are scrambling constantly waiting for the Keynote September 12 .

It is thanks to developers who are testing the iOS 6 beta 4 that some information is confirmed. Indeed able to confirm after the new resolution of the device, developers tend to confirm that the New iPhone holds a 9-pin precisely (and not 19 or 8-pin as you have read above). The rumors for this change was a gain of up to reduce the thickness of the beast and make way for the new location of the jack. But sources also argue that besides being smaller, this connector could be more efficient and faster. Is this a step towards USB 3.0?

In any case this mystery on the next iPhone spilled a lot of ink on the canvas, if you want to follow the latest news on this subject follow our special section ' The News of iPhone 5 Live ' .

iPhone 5: The screen has a resolution of 640 x 1136 px

2012-08-18T06:33:00.000+02:00

We already know that the screen of the iPhone 5 is expected to be larger, with a slab of 4 "rumored. Today we learn new information concerning the resolution of the screen!

In recent weeks, we hear a resolution of 640 x 1136 , ie the same resolution as the iPhone at the current width, but with over 176 px height. Using Xcode iOS Simulator, 9to5Mac has sought to verify this information, the result leaves no doubt.

At first glance, it is possible to run virtually, a screen with such a resolution, both on iOS 5.1 on iOS 6. But one detail makes all the difference. Indeed, if iOS 5.1 is just happy to display four rows of icons usual, the future system seamlessly integrates iOS 6 new resolution by adding a fifth row .

9to5Mac has not stopped there and tried other resolutions, but it did confirm that the resolution of 640 x 1136 since no other resolution can display 5 rows of icons.

iOS 6 being the mobile operating system that will be integrated automatically on the new iPhone 5 , we can say that it adds weight to the balance in favor of rumors about the screen resolution.

Nano Sim tray of the new iPhone 5 revealed .

2012-08-18T06:21:00.000+02:00

A new spare part of the iPhone 5 has just made its appearance on the canvas, he is the drawer Nano Sim.

The rumor has already made its way, it's been a while we hear of a Nano Sim and integration in the new iPhone 5 of Apple , the operators had also ordered large quantities of Nano Sim cards .

For the arrival of such a format sim card on the iPhone 5 , it was necessary to expect a reduction in size for the dedicated compartment and this is what we can see on the picture we are presenting today.

The size difference is pretty minimal indeed, but it would allow Apple to arrange the best parts inside the new iPhone 5 . Hope that the firm takes advantage of this extra space to introduce a better battery capacity!

iPhone 5: An update on various rumors

2012-08-18T06:11:00.000+02:00

The iPhone 5 has been the subject of many rumors from this week. It is therefore difficult to see clearly. We suggest you make the point in showing the different characteristics or information that has been transmitted via the Internet this week.

The date of submission

Aside from the features, release date information is the most anticipated. In light of recent revelations by Reuters and Bloomberg , the iPhone 5 should be presented at the next keynote of Apple that is to say, September 12 . Rumors say that the company is about to organize a special event for this date. The public may obtain the device and nine days later, according iMore, that is to say, September 21 . This schedule may well stick with any strategy that Apple recently revealed its turnover. That of the iPhone 4 S is decreasing and Samsung continues to widen the gap in the area of mobile telephony. The Cupertino company would be well advised to propose an earlier date.

The screen of the iPhone 5

With the iPhone 4 and 4S, the design changes were not present. It is therefore advisable for the new terminal to provide a different look especially with a screen size larger. This last nigh undoubtedly 4 inches. In all cases, the iPhone 5 should be longer, but the width would be no different if the hand grip is not optimized. The touch screen is thinner in particular to reduce the thickness of the smartphone while providing a real strength.

A smaller connector

The connector is found at the heart of a controversy. Reducing, consumers can not use the previous link accessories with older versions of the iPhone. It could therefore be cringe more than one client. This information is certainly not confirmed by Apple, but many pictures or videos direct to a connector 19 pin as stated Reuters. Although the format has not yet been revealed, the iPhone will present a smaller connector.

Improving the speed

The iPhone 4S is not a terminal infallible, despite a certain speed it is still possible to see some slowdowns. The iPhone 5 should be optimized on this side with the establishment of an A5 processor . This has already been proven on the New iPad . The terminal will receive a chip that increases performance especially with improved graphics and optimized processing information.

The software used

The iPhone 5 will with certainty with the operating system iOS 6. latter was the subject of a presentation in June. It will soon be available in the fall and several new features. Apple speaks a hundred innovations.

Battery

The battery is the only feature of the phone which is scarce. Currently, there is a great mystery about life. Apple wants to make the smartphone much more efficient, so it is possible to imagine a longer duration .

Currently, all these information are just rumors, some are confirmed by reputable sites or agencies, but Apple has not said anything yet. The iPhone 5 will unveil its mysteries at the next Keynote, which should normally be 12 September. His name is also unknown, everyone thinks " iPhone5 "that would succeed" iPhone 4S ", but a recent capture of a log shows a" iPhone 5.2 ". Everything is possible. The long wait is rewarded with a device worthy of the name could compete with other manufacturers like Samsung Galaxy S3 with her.

Still a little bit of patience.

APPLE TV !

2012-08-15T15:55:00.002+02:00

Once known as iTV, Apple TV was officially unveiled at Macworld 2007 and arrives in February. With its built-in hard drive and 802.11n wireless streaming, this little white box finally brings together iTunes and the TV.

Apple TV is a network media box that streams movies, music, TV shows, podcasts, and photos from the iTunes library on your PC or Mac to your HDTV. The box, which looks like a squashed Mac Mini and measures 7.7 by 7.7 by 1.1 inches (including an integrated power supply), connects to your TV via either HDMI or component video and audio, and wirelessly syncs content from your iTunes library so that you can enjoy it in the living room using the included remote. As promised, Apple TV will be available in February for $299; you can order it online now.

Another big question mark was the file formats that Apple TV would support, and here we have some clear answers. It goes without saying that Apple TV will work with any standard iTunes format. Audio formats include AAC, protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 and variable bit rate MP3, Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV. But the bigger news is it supports wide-screen, high-definition video, more specifically 1,280x720 at 24 frames per second, aka 720p. That means you will be able to view movies and TV shows at better-than-DVD quality--as long as you can get them from the iTunes Store. Other video formats include H.264 and protected H.264 (from iTunes Store), 640x480 at 30 frames per second; 320x240 at 30 frames per second; and MPEG-4, 640x480 at 30 frames per second. Finally, Apple TV supports all standard photo formats, including JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, and PNG; you can view photos in slide shows on your TV.

Right now, the movie selections on iTunes Store are limited to Disney and its affiliated studio brands, such as Touchstone and Miramax. But at Macworld, Apple CEO Steve Jobs also announced a deal with Paramount that makes an additional 250 movies available for iTunes, the iPod, and now Apple TV. That's a great step, but with the exception of a few "season passes," Apple still charges a flat fee for movies ($9.99 to $12.99) and TV shows ($1.99 per episode). The introduction of Apple TV makes it more apparent than ever that Apple should rapidly expand the video offering of iTunes Store, make more of it available in wide-screen HD formats, and especially provide the option for a monthly subscription fee like many of its competitors do.

Apple Vs Samsung: Better Understanding the Issues ...

2012-08-15T15:46:00.001+02:00

Apple Vs Samsung: ...

With all the hype, the relentless accusations, judgments and courts and we ended up losing. Here's an excellent article by iGeneration ( original article ) that will be help you make the point well above Atlantic ...

Even if defeated in his two trials against Apple, Samsung wins. The Korean manufacturer has exposed many preproduction iPhone and iPad and the Cupertino forced to reveal some of his secrets best kept. In doing so, Samsung has certainly raised the ire of Judge Lucy Koh, but no matter: after many setbacks, the strategy of scorched earth was the only option.

Lawsuit Against Apple Samsung takes place at the court Robert F. Peckham, in San Jose (California). Beck Diefenbach picture.

Prolegomena caricatures

Open from Monday, July 30, the trial is presided over by Judge Lucy H.Koh federal court for the Northern District of California (San Jose). A judge known for its inflexibility: it was refused such as Apple, Google, Intel, Adobe, Intuit, Lucasfilm and Pixar can settle amicably their illegal cartel case, forcing them to go to trial . An exasperated judge too: it must indeed manage 19 cases cross between Apple and Samsung Vice versa, 19 cases have turned the settlement account as playground.

Thus, even before the jurors are invited to enter the courtroom, counsel for Samsung has asked the judge for agreeing to allow the introduction of internal documents showing the company smartphones and rectangular black before developing iPhone. A motion that the judge had already rejected three times, Samsung has submitted those documents too late "does not make me punish you," she intima, asking the lawyer to sit down. It also prohibits Samsung to use clips from 2001: A Space Odyssey , looking quite annoyed.

A tablet in 2001 . We meet as a videoconference, a personal assistant, and an inter-dimensional travel psychedelic. All things reality today.

The argument of Apple revolves around two points: the fact that Samsung violated its intellectual property well, and that patents Samsung at stake are not relevant. To prove the first point, the legal team says the Apple iPhone was a radically new product: use the touch screen as a primary area of interaction required an innovative design, a single interface, and concepts unpublished. How to prove that the Samsung has knowingly copied? In internal documents, the designers of the Korean company admit to being in "crisis" facing the "paradise" that is the iPhone. They ensure that the equipment is "easy to copy" - later, Google will ask Samsung retoquer its tablet, too close to the iPad.

This 18-minute video was designed to be distributed to all jury trials around the patents and industrial property. Lucy Koh has seen fit to get it to trial.

It's appearance, but also attacks on Apple features: documents show that Samsung has consciously decided to use the double-tap to zoom in or inertial scrolling, inaugurated by the iPhone. Samsung assures that patents of Apple on the subject are not valid (the judge in Koh currently decided otherwise), the Cupertino company will instead try to demonstrate they underpin the identity of IOS.Because the issue is that of the identity of Apple products ( trade dress ) and how to use them (look-and-feel ), that distinguished the iPhone from its competitors. Lawyers for the Cupertino ensure that it is now possible to produce a phone that can work differently and do not slavishly plunder the intellectual property of Apple, after all, before the iPhone, diversity was put in the phone market.

A now classic image again by Apple's lawyers.

To remove the second point, Apple's lawyers note that Samsung has not challenged for patent infringement, but cons-attacked. Five patents presented by Samsung, none were filed after 2007, and the Korean company does not use them all elsewhere. Worse: they cover standards (including 3G), they should be open to a FRAND license - a license application or Samsung $ 12 per unit sold (2.4% of the price), while the component in question is $ 10 ! Samsung is accustomed to doing, and the competition authorities the U.S. and Europe already investigating this practice : if the first point is open to interpretation, the Korean company will have great difficulty in convincing the world on this subject.

The same for the tablets. The tablet Samsung Q1 is left (€ 1,200 at the time), based on the Microsoft Origami concept, which was to launch the fashion of UMPCs (ultra mobile PC).

Samsung is the contrary to show that the design of the iPhone is nothing revolutionary: we have heard mentioned for example the LG Prada (2005) and was presented with documents showing large-screen smartphones in development in 2006. "We're not saying the iPhone is not a great product. This is a great product and a product "inspiring". This is how competition works and what does not violate industrial property. "Summarize the lawyers of Samsung, with internal Apple documents resulting from the dismantling of the Galaxy S:" Apple has dissected the Galaxy S. Apple accuses us of having dissected the iPhone. Does that mean that Apple has done something wrong? No, this is the competitive analysis. It happens all the time, and there is no harm in that. "

A picture released by Samsung to prove she had the concepts of large-screen smartphones in 2006. Problem: Samsung had not obtained permission to distribute this document.

The identity of Apple products? Lawyers for the Samsung sweeps with the back of the hand, "there is no evidence" that a customer will ever have confused an Apple product and a Samsung - no mention that they were sometimes themselves themselves unable to do so, and that the documents show that the main reason for returning the shelves at Best Buy Samsung ... is that customers had taken them for the iPad. In detailing the registered designs, the use by lawyers Samsung against a strategy that has already proven itself in Europe: they point to any small differences in a precise and tangible, while Apple will attempt to defend an identity and more general intangible. This will be the big issue of this trial.

A battle of scavengers

At least if this trial is not shortened: Samsung has ignored the ban on Koh judge and his lawyers have communicated to the press documents showing she was working on large-screen smartphone before the presentation of the iPhone. What cause the ire of the judge, already quite annoyed by the inability of both parties to find common ground. Attorneys would notably include the Samsung F700 - this phone has been many montages supposed to show that Apple had copied the iPhone on Samsung.

You've probably crossed this image.

Problem: this image is absolutely not the reality. The F700 has actually been presented for the first time one month after the iPhone in February 2007. Its home screen is not the grid of icons, which also differs greatly from that of IOS, but a screen widgets. Moreover, it is a slider phone horizontally! Some do not hesitate to say that Judge Koh was a gift to Samsung F700 include the amount to go in the direction of Apple on the subject of the diversity of forms.

The F700, as it was in fact promoted at the time. This time we have struggled to find a resemblance to the iPhone.

In response to the unauthorized publication of these documents, Apple has asked the court to sanction Samsung in closing the case by a decision declaring that the Korean company violates industrial property of the Cupertino company, and that patents are Apple valid - in short, Apple asks for the procedural defect. Samsung has already been sanctioned for destroying evidence and was called to order by Judge Koh after sending to the press, once again, this time the documents belonging to Apple. Because the damage is already done: even if Samsung should lose this case, for procedural or regular, small Apple secrets were revealed. Samsung had managed to obtain documents showing an iPhone inspired by the 2006 Sony style , to cast doubt on the famous "Apple ID. "In doing so, she simply forced Apple to reveal the Purple prototype, codenamed Project iPhone, dating from 2005 - and thus prove that the design of the iPhone 4 was already in the pipeline.

The iPod brand? The term iPhone came a little later, and was rarely used on the prototypes, in order to test them without arousing suspicion. We understand better the chronologies of rumors about the iPod touch, which preceded those of a few years around the iPhone.

In all, more than 40 prototypes of the iPhone and iPad that were revealed in this process. They provide insight into how the process design of Apple, especially since many designers have had to testify. We know for example now that Apple has always worked on an iPhone to both sides of glass - and therefore that the first three generations of iPhone were transition models, also developed late in the development cycle. It was learned that the glass surfaces were originally to be curved to facilitate handling and slips of the finger, an option rejected address issues of cost and production capacity.

The prototype 0355.

The iPhone mini? Apple has explored this track, starting with the iPod mini. Eventually abandon it, fearing that the size is too small to be really comfortable to use, the components are properly integrated and that connectivity is ideal.

Two preproduction iPhone mini.

Better still, observing closely the published literature, we realize that the operating system of the first prototype was actually a kind of dashboard where applications were developed with web languages. Operation that was found at Palm with webOS, headed by Jon Rubinstein ... a former senior executive of Apple. What was later known as Mac OS X Mobile, iOS today, only appears late in the development cycle, and to better understand the chronology of the emergence of third-party applications: tools and the idea of an App Store probably existed in 2007, but they were not necessarily ready.

Observe these icons: You find in your Dashboard. Core OS, the heart of OS X, is there, in the lowest layers (network, power), but the idea was to provide a common development platform around with Dashboard and Dashcode web languages. The idea of third-party apps developed with Xcode and Objective-C did not come until later, probably when the components have reached sufficient power.

We finally learned more about the design process at Apple, meetings of a team of 15 people around Jon Ive and a kitchen table - in short, part of the veil surrounding Apple has been lifted by Samsung . The Korean firm plays big in the business, but its strategy of scorched earth admits already paid off: the secret, the most sacred Apple, a component of this sacrosanct identity Apple, has been trampled feet. This public humiliation in the press is well worth the $ 2.5 billion that Samsung could pay if convicted - and find it on the other hand in order components.

A 3D camera with 2 lenses

A 4-inch screen display with 3-D

A release that occurs with fingerprint recognition
A holographic screen and interactive gaming experience offering unprecedented.

We let you discover more fully the news in a video demonstration of excellent quality:

Despite their rather low probability of integration, these innovations are mostly stunning.

Steve Jobs ... !!

2012-08-14T19:38:00.002+02:00

Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs ( February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American businessman and technology visionary. He is best known as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Through Apple, he was widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution^[8]^[9] and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields. Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar.

In the late 1970s, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak engineered one of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series. Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC's mouse-drivengraphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Apple Lisa and, one year later, the Macintosh. By introducing the LaserWriter he enabled a revolution called desktop publishing.^[10]

After losing a power struggle with the board of directors in 1985, Jobs left Apple and founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher-education and business markets.

In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm, which was spun off as Pixar.^[11] He was credited in Toy Story (1995) as an executive producer. He served as CEO and 50.1% majority shareholder until Disney bought Pixar in 2006. ^[12] Jobs received 7% of Disney shares, and joined the Board of Directors as the largest individual shareholder. ^[13]^[14]

By 1996, Apple had failed to deliver a new operating system, Copland. Gil Amelioturned to NeXT Computer, and the NeXTSTEP platform became the foundation for theMac OS X. ^[15] Jobs returned to Apple as an advisor, and took control of the company as an interim CEO. Jobs brought Apple from near bankruptcy to profitability by 1998.^[16]^[17]

As the new CEO of the company, Jobs oversaw the development of the iMac, iTunes,iPod, iPhone, and iPad, and on the services side, the company's Apple Retail Stores,iTunes Store and the App Store.^[18] The success of these products and services, provided several years of stable financial returns, and propelled Apple to become the world's most valuable publicly traded company in 2011.^[19] The reinvigoration of the company is regarded by many commentators as one of the greatest turnarounds in business history.^[20]^[21]^[22]

In 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreas neuroendocrine tumor. Though it was initially treated, he reported a hormone imbalance, underwent a liver transplant in 2009, and appeared progressively thinner as his health declined.^[23] On medical leave for most of 2011, Jobs resigned in August that year, and was elected Chairman of the Board. He died of respiratory arrest related to his metastatic tumor on October 5, 2011.

Jobs has received a number of honors and public recognition for his influence in the technology and music industries. He has widely been referred to as "legendary", a "futurist" or simply "visionary",^[24]^[25]^[26]^[27] and has been described as the "Father of the Digital Revolution",^[28] a "master of innovation",^[29]^[30] and a "design perfectionist".^[31]^[32]

MacbOok Pro

2012-08-14T05:33:00.001+02:00

MacBook Pro is loaded with powerful new features that make a great notebook even greater.

New processors and graphics. Pull out all the stops.

Top-of-the-line processors.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro features the new 2.3GHz and 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processors with 6MB of shared L3 cache and Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6GHz. And you can configure it to be even faster. Choose the 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with 8MB of cache and Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.7GHz. And go for the new 512GB third-generation SATA solid-state drive, which is up to 4x faster than a traditional hard drive. To increase storage, upgrade to a 1TB hard drive.

The 13-inch model also speeds things up with either the 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 or the 2.9GHz Intel Core i7 — the fastest mobile dual-core processor available. With Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6GHz, these processors bring more power to everything you do.

The very latest graphics.

The new integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor boosts performance by up to 60 per cent.¹ That extra power gives you a smoother, more fluid experience than before. It’s still highly efficient too, so you get long battery life when you’re out and about.

For graphics-intensive applications, the 15-inch MacBook Pro automatically switches to the new NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M discrete processor with up to 1GB of video memory. It’s also up to 60 per cent faster than the previous generation,² so you see more frames per second in 3D games and get greater speed and responsiveness for your HD video projects.

The fastest, most versatile I/O in a notebook.

Imagine accessing multiple streams of uncompressed HD video — from your MacBook Pro — at speeds that let you edit an HD feature film in real time. Thunderbolt technology allows you to connect the high-performance peripherals that make it possible. Ultra-fast and ultra-flexible, the Thunderbolt pipeline is up to 12 times faster than FireWire 800 and offers unprecedented expansion capabilities.

Multi-Touch trackpad.
Be more hands-on.

The Multi-Touch trackpad is the most natural way to interact with what’s on your screen, and the smooth glass surface gives you plenty of room for gestures. Pinch to zoom in and out, swipe to flip through photos, rotate to adjust an image and much more. The buttonless design lets you click anywhere. And if you’re coming from a right-click world, you can right-click with two fingers or configure a right-click area on the trackpad. The more you use the Multi-Touch trackpad, the more you’ll wonder how you ever did without it.

A long-lasting battery. Charge less. Do more.

MacBook Pro delivers amazing battery life. And that’s with more powerful processors and faster graphics than ever. An energy-efficient processor architecture with an integrated video encoder, along with automatic graphics switching in the 15-inch model, helps improve battery life. So you can get up to seven hours on a single charge.⁴

It’s very well connected.

MacBook Pro automatically finds available networks and allows you to join them with a click. And the latest three-stream 802.11n wireless technology gives you the best possible performance at the greatest range.⁵Bluetooth wireless technology is also built in, so you can use your favourite wireless accessories straight out of the box.

Ports with possibility.

With the Thunderbolt port, you can daisy-chain as many as six devices — including an Apple Thunderbolt Display and Mini DisplayPort peripherals — to create a fully fledged workstation. And with support for video and eight-channel audio, it’s easy to connect HDMI-compatible devices — like your TV and home stereo — using an HDMI adapter (sold separately). Current VGA, DVI and DisplayPort adapters are also supported.

Two new USB 3 ports let you access a pipeline that's up to 10 times faster than USB 2. And your USB 2 devices can still plug straight in. If you have devices that use FireWire 800, there’s a port for that too. And an SDXC card slot that supports up to 64GB cards makes it a snap to transfer all those photos to and from your MacBook Pro, so you can edit and share them on the spot.
