Mahesh - Leander - Rohan - AITA

2012-06-21T16:40:00.003-07:00

Just read: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/tournaments/london-olympics/We-have-worked-tirelessly-for-it-Bhupathi/articleshow/14326559.cms

This is like arranged marriage and love marriage.
AITA wanted Paes and Bhupati to partner - Arranged marriage.
Bhupati and Bopanna want to partner - Love marriage.

Now AITA reluctantly conceded to demands of Bhupati and Bopanna.
Leander is heart broken. Leander doesn't like the partner arranged by AITA.

Sick and sad for Indian tennis.

If Bhupathi and Bopanna cannot partner with Paes... how can anybody force them into a partnership with Paes. Bhupathi and Bopanna team, lets say, is not the best options we have. But, come on, its will any day be better than a unhappy, disgruntled partner playing with Paes.

And Mr. Paes, please stop crying like a baby and do the best you can with the best Indian player after Bhu and Bop. This is not the end of tennis in India. Get up and fight it out... in the court... I mean tennis court.

FedUp with FedEx

2007-01-02T14:41:00.000-08:00

Long time and no post!

Well this one is to vent my anger.

The worst experience I ever had.

I was expected to receive two packages from FedEx. They made the first delivery attempt after which I called FedEx customer service and requested them to keep the packages with them and so that I can collect it personally. But no, FedEx had other plans. They made another attempt. I called up again and repeated my request.

Next day before collecting the package from them I confirmed from the customer service if the packages were there in FedEx office. The customer service agent said "Yes please come by and collect your package."

On reaching their office and waiting for 40 mins I learn that one package is with the trucker and the other one is missing!! Also the package with trucker will be delivered at my home within an hour.

So I went home in the hope to see the trucker. The lethargic staff at FedEx office promised to keep looking for my other package in their office.

I did not see the trucker during my 1 hr and 30 mins wait at home. Sad, tired and frustrated I went back to the FedEx office. Hurray, they had located my package. I collected the package and requested them to hold package with the trucker, at their office so that I can collect it tomorrow morning.

Next day morning I reach their office and spend 30 mins to be told that the package is not in their office but in the "FedEx home delivery" office. Why? Why I was not notified? Huh!

This was the height of frustration I had ever been through in US. How can such a large organization be run so callously?

I returned after my vacations to the FedEx office. Again they could not find the package in their office although their computer said it was there. The FedEx staff would take the tracking number and disappear behind the doors. They would come back only with questions like

"Oh sir, sorry. I was busy with something else. Can you please give me your tracking number again?"
or
"Sir, we cannot trace your package. What’s your street name?/What’s your name?/What’s your address?".

I had to wait for about an hour when a gentleman came with the package instead of a question.

I don’t know about other FedEx offices but this one at Olson Drive, San Diego can really test your patience. I thought I was the only one suffering but during my wait at their office I saw others also undergoing similar agony.

Finally I have both the packages with me and I am rushing with the mail-in-rebate forms.

Relaxed weekend

2006-09-16T17:39:00.000-07:00

Was too busy with work for the past several weeks and finally had a welcome break from the monotonous deadline hunting on this weekend. This friday night the four of us went to a Mexican grill restaurant called Cozymeals. I had a five margarita sampler and I was just 'high' enough to drive. Then a Michael Douglas starrer 'Sentinal' kept us awake till 4 am.

On the music front I am once again digging into some 'Junoon' archives. 'Junoon' is perhaps the most popular pakistani rock band. I had been a 'Junoon' fan, a 'Junooni', since their album 'Azadi'. I have been searching for their albums at stores in India but it was all in vain. Recently, a rigorous search on Google paid off and found a link where I could download all the songs (almost all....... I guess) . I just can't get enough of this band. It seems to be the most perfect blend of rock, sufi and hindustani music. The wails of Salman Ahmed's guitar and Ali's powerful vocals provide a new dimension to fusion music.

And yes saw a movie last weekend "Lage raho Munna bhai". Only two words to describe it "Brilliant" and "Hilarious".

Thats all for now .......... Rest in next.........................

Come on in
