Goods Goggle Shoot

2013-01-24T19:20:00.000-08:00

Goggles are one of the hardest things to shoot, because of the reflective surface where you can see everything in the room, if you're not careful. It took me a while to get this setup right, and I'm super happy how this one turned out.

Pro Photographer Showdown Slideshow

2012-08-19T21:55:00.000-07:00

Here's the slideshow that I presented at the 2011 Pro Photographer Showdown. The quality isn't that sweet, but I'm a photographer, not an editor, so I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for watching!

More Goods Shots for Snowboarder Magazine

2012-02-16T14:06:00.000-08:00

Here's a couple more product shots I did for Snowboarder Magazine. I'm pretty stoked how these shots turned out, and our art director Chris Noble did a good job making it look clean and simple. Be sure to click on the photos to see them enlarged!

This is a feature on controversial snowboard graphics.

I love shooting boots, because it's easy to make them look good!

Helmet shoot for Snowboarder Magazine

2011-12-24T18:37:00.000-08:00

Here's another Goods shoot I did for Snowboarder Magazine. Luckily I had a high ISO machine called the Nikon D3X, and some great hotlights. Most of all these shots were done first try, and thankfully for me, because it turns out the powder in the bulbs is horribly bad for you! Anyway, I'm glad the shoot turned out great!

Kazu shoot for Freerun Magazine

2011-11-26T12:34:00.001-08:00

Thanks to my friends over at Freerun Magazine, and a lack of Photographers in San Clemente, I was invited to shoot some portraits of one of my favorite snowboarders. Kazu is a true legend, and a humble soul, who has a bright future ahead of him. Thanks to Takashi Onasai for helping with assisting. This is one of my favorite photos that was produced from the shoot. I got really lucky with the birds.....

Telus Comp Pro Photo Showdown!

2011-04-28T17:20:00.000-07:00

I was lucky enough to participate in the Olympus Pro Photographer Showdown last weekend. It was one of the highlights of my career, and a true honor to be associated with a bunch of bad ass lensmen. I didn't win, but I got a bunch of great feedback, and everyone involved did an amazing job. Thanks to Olympus, Telus, and all the people who made this awesome contest go down! I plan on entering again, and winning it next time!

I now work for Snowboarder Magazine!!

Japan!!

2011-02-09T04:22:00.000-08:00

Just been in Japan for 5 days now, and it's always such a pleasure to return to the home land. Our first day we spent at Sakusana Resort for Krush's Boxes for Days contest, and then the filming was underway! I'll try to post some more shots throughout the trip.

Bundy, getting sick in the snow

When in Japan, beers are a must at the spot. Larsen enjoying a tall one.

Ted enjoying a coldie!

Quite possibly my most favorite place to eat in Japan. 7 eleven is cheap and good.
