RIVER TEST GAME (aka Japanese IQ Test)

2011-05-20T00:22:00.006-05:00

This game is called several different things, some being: The River Test Game, The River Crossing Puzzle, and The Japanese IQ Test.

I have been told that in Japan, if you cannot figure this puzzle out in a specified amount of time, then you will never be hired for an executive position within any company. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but it sounds good so I will believe it until someone tells me otherwise.

I first downloaded this game to my Blackberry a few months ago and I have to say that it is one of the coolest things on the internet right now. Here is a version that you can play online for FREE.

Play for free. See how you do. Challenge your friends. Show your wife (or husband) who is Boss. Show your Boss how dumb He/She is (this may or may not be a good idea). Whatever you do, just have fun.

For the past 5 years, FreeRice.com has been providing life saving rice to people all over the world.

Here's how it works: You go to FreeRice.com and start playing the vocabulary game. For every word that you get correct, they donate 10 grains of rice to someone that is hungry. That's it! You play the game and they donate the rice. It could not get any easier.

This is definitely one of the coolest websites that I have seen. I love that they make it so easy for people to make a real difference in the world.

To date they have donated nearly 90,000,000,000 (that is BILLION with a capital B) grains of rice. To put that huge number into perspective, that would be around 3,100,000 one pound bags of rice. That is HUGE!

Visit FreeRice.com today and join me in feeding the hungry 10 grains of rice at a time.

With the growing popularity of the company, you have probably already heard of TOMS shoes. You may even know someone with a pair of TOMS. Still, I feel that I should include TOMS in the Coolest Stuff Online blog for the simple reason that it is still one of the coolest things online.

In case you don't know about TOMS, let me enlighten you. TOMS is a company that gives a free pair of shoes to a child in need, every time a pair of TOMS shoes is purchased.

In the 4 years the company has been around, they have given over 1 million pairs of shoes to children in need. Click here to go to the TOMS shoes website so that you can become a part of the work they are doing to change our world.

Water Filtration That Can Change The World

2011-05-10T21:49:00.004-05:00

Allow me to introduce you to a cutting edge technology that could change the world that we live in. Seriously, lives will be saved by the tens and hundreds of thousands when this technology becomes more affordable.

Life Saver Systems has developed a water filtration technique that promises to filter ALL bacteria and viruses out of water.

I have been watching this company develop over the past couple of years and I am very happy to see their popularity grow.

Here's something to think about next time you enjoy a glass of ice cold water:

5000 CHILDREN DIE EVERY DAY FROM DISEASES CAUSED BY UNCLEAN DRINKING WATER!!!!!!

That is 208 every hour or 3 every minute

I would say that this technology is one that we simply cannot do without.

The bottles and filters are still pretty pricey so I don't expect to see real World Change any time soon but I am committed to keep following this company in hopes that one day children will no longer have to worry about dying from things like diarrhea.

Purchase a LifeSaver Bottle from their website here.
