Earlier this week, we had a blizzard that dropped almost 21 inches of snow in the city. As someone who grew up in New York, I remember winters like this with lots of snow so I&#39;m not really phased. We had snowpocalypse in 2015 (see <a href="https://www.rolalaloves.com/2015/01/through-my-lens-snow-day.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: black;"><b>my photos </b></span></a>from that) but that was nothing compared to this recent storm. I&#39;ve said it before that I have a bit of a <a href="https://www.rolalaloves.com/2012/01/through-my-lens-snow.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: black;"><b>love/hate relationship </b></span></a>with snow in the city. It&#39;s like magical and even kind of romantic when it&#39;s falling and frosting buildings and streets but the reality of having to navigate through the dirty black slush it&#39;s destined to become is quite the opposite. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;">Anyhow the snow makes for an ideal subject which I&#39;ve always liked photographing so come along with me on the walk on I took this Monday morning in lower Manhattan. It was actually quite peaceful and enjoyable especially Brooklyn Bridge. Big props to Mayor Mamdani and the NYC sanitation department for clearing the snow promptly and doing a better job than they did in January. So what&#39;s new with me? So I injured my ankle in August and when I was almost pretty much completely healed and done with physical therapy in September, I re-injured it trying to avoid colliding a with  tourist in Soho. The second time I went to see my acupuncture doctor which greatly helped with recovery and I&#39;m at the point where I&#39;m almost done with PT and can jump and run again.
