If you have never been a featured crafter for Primitive Times Magazine, leave me a comment in my
The Krazy Kraft Lady Blog under Featured Crafter * Drawing* For December, why you would like to be considered for the December issue along with a way to contact you. I will randomly select one entry for the next issue....BUT WAIT.....the next randomly selected entry will be the featured crafter for the January 2010 issue. Depending on how many entries I receive, I will continue to select entries for the remainder of 2010.

Many of you probably don't know that I make my own graphics. I had a graphics website a while back but I can't compete with the more talented graphic artists out there so I decided I'd like to share my graphics for personal use. Chenille Pumpkin & Crow

It measures 7 inches high by 7 1/2 inches wide

The pumpkin was made from an old chenille bedspread and it looks brighter and lighter in this photo than it actually is - it's much darker and looks more rusty/dirty - more primitive looking.

On my website I can only show one photo so here are a few more from different angles.

Just finished these little guys up this afternoon. They measure 9 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide.

Wouldn't they look perfect tucked in among other prim Halloween/ Fall items on a shelf or cupboard?!

Primitive Witch Crow & Mouse on Broom Hanger OOAK

As you can see I'm still in a mouse making mode. This time I made a OOAK Primitive Witch Crow riding a broomstick with a hitchhiking mouse.

The broom I fashioned from a large 'dead' branch and the broom's 'straw' from untwisted jute rope.

I stuck a few 'prim' leaves into the straw end for color.

The crow is wearing her witch hat ( rusty star attached ) and a stained cheesecloth wrap, held together with a rusty pin and rusty bell.

The hitchhiking mouse looks very comfortable resting on the crow's back...or he's actually terrified and frozen in place.

There is a curled rusty wire attached to the broomstick to allow for hanging. This will hang on an angle so it looks like the crow is actually flying on her broomstick.

Measurements are 19 inches long from broom tip to end of 'straw' and 7 1/2 inches high from broom handle to tip of crow's hat.

More Mice!! Perfect For Fall

Made these 4 Harvest Pumpkin Mice yesterday while hubby was gone for the day at the Pitt football game.

Between making these, watching some Sci-Fi and reading, I had a blissful day!

I ran out of hot glue.........eeeek! Had just enough to finish gluing on the last pumpkin's Spanish moss nest.

Going to have to stock up on some as soon as I can get to the craft store.

Don't you just hate it when you run out of a craft supply, especially when you were 'so sure' you had some tucked away in the storage bin?

Vintage Baby Shoes 'n 'lil Mice

I made these cute 'lil mice today to put into some Vintage baby shoes with dried flowers. The black mouse is made from wool felt and is NOT as shiny as the photo shows it to be. Must be the camera flash on the fibers making it look so shiny. Their eyes are French knots and the noses are stitched black. The mice have a rusty wire wrapped around their necks with 2 teeny tiny rusty bells. This arrangement has some baby's breath and purple colored dried flowers.

This mouse is brown. I used Warm 'n Natural and then stained him with coffee and vanilla. I added some eucalyptus, baby's breath and burgundy colored dried flowers.

Autumn Mini Sun-flower Garland

I just listed this 24 inch long mini sunflower garland on eBay
There are 18 flowers - double backed
Can be hung on shelves, cabinets, windows, over curtains, on fireplace mantles - use your imagination!
There are loops for hanging ( I used those clear plastic tablecloth clips to hang this one on my jelly cabinet and curio cabinet.

Primitive Mini Sunflower Pokes

One of my customers who has bought my mini sunflower fillers has asked me if I could make some pokes out of them for her, using 'real' sticks and tying homespun bows on the sticks. This is how they turned out. Some of the flowers have a printed fabric center and some are painted.

I just love how this turned out. The lil mousie's home is a 'rusted look' tin can. I stained some cheesecloth and tied it around the can and attached a round tag that reads 'Home Sweet Home' with a rusty safety pin.
The mouse is made from a caramel colored wool felt with stitched nose and French knot eyes. Whiskers are 4 strands of black floss.
The lil mouse and flowers are embedded in a nest of Spanish moss. I'm going to be listing this on eBay this morning to see how it goes. If it does well, I'll also be adding to my shoppe KKL Primitives.

Mouse In Stocking Ornie

I just love this ornie! I adapted it from a pattern by The Old Country Cupboard. I used what I already had in my stash, which was a caramel colored fleece like fabric for the mouse. The stocking is red wool felt and the cuff around the stocking is Warm 'n Natural. I stuffed it lightly with polyester filling. The photo is a bit lighter than the actual ornie. I sewed a rusty bell to the cuff and inserted some greenery and a cinnamon stick in the stocking.
The mouse and stocking are machine stitched but I did hand stitch the ears and the cuff.
This ornie is going inside a basket I'm making for a gift for my daughter's baby shower end of August. Instead of having cheesy dollar store gifts for prizes, we're making up baskets and having a Chinese Auction. Every guest will receive a 'free' ticket and each time they win a game they will get another ticket. At the end of the games, they can put their tickets in the bags in front of the baskets they'd like to win. My grandaughter will then pick out a name from each bag. We've done this before for the same daughter's bridal shower and it was a huge hit, although I didn't do a craft basket for that one. So far I have this ornie, two stitchery pillows and a framed stitchery for my basket. I plan to make a few more things.

New Pattern Almost Ready

I've been working on a 'New' Pattern today. While the e-pattern is 'new' the stitchery doodle is not, it was offered as a freebie a while back with no directions on what to do with it. You were on your own! LOL
But now, you can make a great little pillow with it. Pillow measures approximately 10 x 12. I used an orange and black homespun fabric for the borders and a leaf and acorn fabric for the back.
All that I need to do now is wait until tomorrow morning when there is daylight so I can take a pic of it outside on my prim bench for the pattern cover. The directions are all written up and ready to go. You will be able to download this epattern instantly at The Prim Pattern.

The prototype is going to be included in a gift basket that I'm making for a Chinese auction for my middle daughter's baby shower at the end of this month along with this framed sampler.

I will be adding a few more items but haven't decided just what yet.
